Good Morning Welcome to the First Episode of ER: Murdered the Cur

I'm Tyler Hoover, and you may know me from such videos as "I Bury My Chrysler LeBaron" or "I Bury My Range Rover" or that basically about 50 times over. I'm proud to be casting here in my garage in Wichita, Kansas, and I've decided that it's time for me to become a newsmen. I've got the suit, I've got the hair, and I've got the voice – most of the time, except when it cracks because I'm 32 years old and still figuring things out.

Now, let's get to the news, and there's no better perfect low-hanging fruit than the all-new 2020 Toyota Supra. As a nerd in just about every single kind of way, but it doesn't matter what kind of nerd you are because pretty much every facet of nerdom has a reason to rage these days. First, there was Star Wars: The Last Jedi with a nonsensical stupid story and then Star Trek decided to join their reboot of a TV show with a pew-pew-pew style of storytelling rather than deep character-driven philosophical bases.

The series of old then Marvel brought out their own overpowered woke character with Captain Marvel basically making the rest of the Marvel superheroes seem like ants other than Ant-Man, and even Game of Thrones has decided to completely destroy eight years of character development and storylines with this horribly executed and rushed last season. We nerds have a lot to be mad about, and if you're like me and a car nerd first and foremost, the new Supra is but maybe we car nerds haven't been fair to the Supra unlike most movies and TV – most of us can't judge one of the Supras all-new itself and see if the new joint project with BMW has any resemblance to the Fast and Furious legend.

Oh, that's that's actually one of my cars, but on paper the last Super Turbo was a four-seater Grand Tour with a bulletproof 320 horsepower engine that could be that easily replaced by Toyota when they decided to bring back the Supra. They wanted to create something for their own brand harmoniously it's not a rebadge, and without this cooperation a sports car like the Supra wasn't worth making financially. Apparently, the largest selling automotive brand in the world didn't have the money or the desire to make the Supra.

You couldn't put cloth seats in a stick and a new Lexus RCF that would have worked designing a new inline 6 was too much work apparently, and then there's Daddy Doug – my daddy came through for all of us car nerds wanting to embrace the hate by saying the Supra couldn't be better after Daddy reminded all of us that he pays for his own flights to maintain his objectivity when he goes to these press events. He knocked not having a manual transmission in the fake vents which he was told were put on so the tuners would have holes to tune with these fake vents are potential holes to poke through the car for tuners.

But Daddy Doug also believes it is just the beginning what they've done with the Supra and they'll continue to upgrade and offer little things as the years go by, and they keep selling Supras so the suckers that buy the first ones are going to get really bummed when the manual transmission is offered the following year or it gets bumped to 400 horsepower which would be really easy to do.

The fight will continue on Twitter including this great exchange between Chris Harris and Matt Farah where Chris says the super is lazy and could have been so much more Toyota and Farah was happy that it wasn't Toyota and felt like a rav4 so this fight will likely never end. transmission BMW chassis suspension infotainment system has any resemblance to the Fast and Furious legend oh that's that's actually one of my cars but on paper the last Super Turbo was a four-seater Grand Tour with a bulletproof 320 horsepower engine that could be mated to a manual transmission and now 20 years later we only get 335 horsepower out of a historically unreliable BMW engine automatic transmission only not even dual clutch and we lost two seats it looks good but most of those vent holes are fake fake still who are we to make judgement on a car that we can't drive well thankfully we have car youtubers such as myself that have and after just about every single one of them known to man was flown out to West Virginia for their press event excluding me I was never invited and I do car reviews really Toyota come on I would have come I would have come but let's put that frustration aside and be all journalist T here and see what others have thought about it so everyone that went to Toyota's press event had to wait to post their videos until Sunday Toyota had a embargo for every car journalist and youtuber in the world that flew out there to see the new car except me since I wasn't there so they all had to wait to drop their video all at the same time on Sunday about a week ago well that is except Matt Farah who found a loophole in that you can't post commentary or review the car but you can post as many pictures and videos of the car running and driving as you want so car thanos posted a video of just the noise of him grunting and the car going around the track for five minutes days before the embargo was lifted and got rewarded handsomely with views Bravo Matt brilliant wait did he say a word balance is a word and if the cars balanced then he just reviewed it with one word Oh someone's in trouble but then Sunday came and everybody posted their video except me because I wasn't invited once again and the word of the day was worth worth here's why the super is worth every penny or the Supra is worthy of the name is it worthy or is the Supra worth the wait overall the reviews were really positive engineering explained that mostly loved it he didn't draw a diagram showing how much he loved it but if he did it would have looked like this Matt Farah could finally talk and he could expand upon the one-word review earlier in the week and thought it was a great car comfortable fun balanced he even liked the automatic transmission but thought it was a little cramped inside so maybe this isn't the car nurdrage events we were all secretly hoping for we love to hate things nowadays embrace the hates in this Supra isn't that or is it if you're looking for some written criticisms of the super my friends over at Jalopnik have you covered the editor even went as far as to quarter the cars chief engineer while he was trying to eat a bowl of soup and was like what's up with all the PM double units and the dude named Todd of the engineer was like we've worked with BMW from the beginning BMW wanted their z4 to be more sporty Toyota wanted to bring back to Supra so they both work together to create something for their own brands harmoniously it's not
