**The Epic Fail of Making a Pretzel Crust Stuffed Cheese Pizza**
I started with the best intentions to make a pretzel crust stuffed cheese pizza, something I thought was simple enough. "You know, it's that simple right?" I said to myself, as I began adding sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. But little did I know, things were about to take a turn for the worse.
As I started preparing the dough, I realized that I needed to pre-boil it first in order to get that signature pretzel coloring and flavor. And that's when I hit my first snag - getting the dough into the boiling water without messing it up. I added baking soda to the water, which would help create that distinctive pretzel taste and color, but as I tried to scrape off the toppings, I ended up with a big mess on my hands. The bubbles rising from the water seemed to take on a life of their own, threatening to engulf the entire operation.
I decided to just roll with it and see how things would turn out, but that's when things started getting really hairy. As the pizza baked in the oven, I added more toppings than necessary, thinking that the cheese and sauce would hold everything together. But what I didn't count on was the pepperoni having a mind of its own - it began to bubble up in the center of the pizza, creating a weird, clumpy hump that made me laugh out loud.
Despite my best efforts, things only seemed to get worse from there. As I tried to take a final shot for the camera, my tripod fell over, capturing instead a photo of the crust with a chunk of cheese sticking out of it. But in a bizarre twist, when I finally did taste the finished pizza, I was surprised to find that it was actually incredible - the combination of flavors and textures had somehow come together to create something truly special.
**The Journey to Success**
Looking back on my epic fail, I realize that sometimes even with the best intentions, things just don't go as planned. But what's important is how you respond to those setbacks - do you give up, or do you try to roll with it and see where things take you? In this case, I decided to keep going and see if I could salvage something from my mistakes.
As I looked at the finished pizza, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride - despite all the mishaps, we had somehow managed to create something truly delicious. And that's what matters most - not the end result, but the journey itself, warts and all. So if you're looking for a cautionary tale about how not to make a pretzel crust stuffed cheese pizza, then I'm afraid this is your guy. But if you want to learn from my mistakes and try making one of your own (with a few extra precautions, of course!), then keep reading.
**The Secret to Success: A Little Bit of Sea Salt**
So what did it all come down to? The answer, as it often does, lies in the details. In this case, it was a simple trick with sea salt that made all the difference - a sprinkle of coarse sea salt before baking helped bring out the flavors and textures of the pizza. It's a little trick I learned from watching cooking shows (or trying to watch them, at any rate!), but one that I'm glad I stumbled upon.
Of course, the rest is history - or rather, a series of misadventures on the road to success. But the key takeaway is this: even when things don't go according to plan, it's often just a matter of adjusting your approach and trying again. So if you're feeling like I was at one point - frustrated, defeated, and wondering what hit me - just remember that even the most epic fails can sometimes lead to something truly special.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: entoday I wanted to show you guys something a little bit different this is what I'm calling the ultimate epic fail remixed created thank the Lord I saved myself experience because I made something and I was rushing to make it I was taken off going on this PR tour and I kind of screwed up it ended up working out but I was thinking I was like I could ditch this video or I could show you guys my process and show you what happens when I like royally screw something up and how I fix it because you know most cooking shows they don't show you that everything always works out perfectly but here's what happens when things go terribly wrong alright so the first logical step is of course you know get your pizza dough you can make it yourself but I bought the pizza dough is quick I like the pizza spot so here I am trying to roll up the pizza dough I didn't have flour I would usually use flour so what I was trying to do is kind of you know just sort of get my hands in there and kind of work it out and get to the right size but unfortunately it was sticking a lot more than I wanted so as it go maybe I'll use cornmeal so unless they use that in pizza for the bottom maybe that will help and good tell yeah I thought wrong very wrong so what actually happened instead was starting to push it down the cornmeal is actually doing a great job not letting the dough stick to anything but that was a problem because it was just slipping and sliding everywhere so mistake number one but I continued to push on so now Here I am trying to do the sort of pizza thing you know get it with your hands yeah yeah it kind of worked I didn't want to rip the pizza dough but I'm still trying to push it down and like okay right yeah we get it just you don't know what you're doing you made pizza million times just know this but you're rushing you're not thinking it's okay because sometimes we don't have a lot of time and we just want to do things real quick so here I am finally getting it to about a good personal pan pizza side so at this point you know things are a little bit rushed but they're starting to work on mackay you know I can make this this is a pretzel stuffed cheese crust pizza I think Domino's Pizza one of those too so I take the string cheese and I try to break it nap but it's too rubbery cuz it's not real no the hell it is but I'm trying trying to make this thing work so all you do is you take the string cheese and you sort of put it around the outer edge you know you can cut it in half to make it smaller whatever size you want this part seemed easy enough it made sense to me I've done similar stuff to this before so and you kind of take it and you roll over the sides and you just want to cover the cheese because that's how you're getting that cheese crust so at this point listen if you're not trying to make a pretzel pizza thing then you can just add your toppings and bacon you could have a stuffed crust cheese pizza which it's pretty awesome within itself but I wanted to do the pretzel crust stuffed cheese pizza so I'm like okay you know I know how to make pretzels dynamic pizza here you go so I started adding the sauce down I'm adding a little bit of sauce sprinkle and it's tomato sauce you know pizza sauce whatever you have sauce and then cheese and then pepperonis it's that simple right it's that simple like I said right right right right actually wrong it is not that simple and I'm gonna show you why in just a second because here I am thinking I'm such a genius like yeah yeah I need to sprinkle this cheese down and then oh crap it hits me I need to pre boil this freakin thing first and I added the topics I'm an idiot so Mike Davis I boiled some water and I add baking soda to that because by putting the dough in there that gives that pretzel coloring a flavor and then I had to scrape off you can kind of see I just scrape up all the toppings it's like he's stupid idiot it's a little bit so that's okay you know I tried and you can see sort of some of the bubbling away because I am just a wee bit of an idiot but no big deal I'm the cheese sort of ended up in there and and then this thicken bubble of air started coming up and like Oh God what's going on and and is this gonna work how am I supposed to get this thing out of the water I mean look at this frickin mess and you only want to keep it in there for a minute but it the dough cooks a little bit and look I mean seriously you kidding me look at that thing so it's all screwed up and look how crappy just remember how crappy this looks right now think about a lot of times where maybe you've been in the kitchen something like that's happening you're like oh god this is no good so I'm like you know what I'm gonna keep prevailing so I'm trying to fold it over trying to push it back and look it ended up sort of working in hindsight I should have maybe done something differently but look it worked so go back on now you take your sea salt coarse sea salt if you don't have perhaps a salty pretzel salt go for that and then you just sprinkle that all over and now I just bake this as it is it's gonna be this incredible like pretzel stuff cheesy thing but I wanted to add the beats of stuff do it right so here we are again my old friend mr. pizza sauce put down you know how to do it just roll it in and then you add your cheese and then comes the pepperoni and here's where things actually got kind of funny because I put on like just watch this this pizza right I put on enough pepperoni and cheese to cover the whole thing I mean look this you'll see there's plenty of pepperoni coming down but when it baked it had a mind of its own and some weird things started happening it started bubbling up in the center of the what's going on and not only that like it ended up looking like I put on two pieces of pepperoni and the pizza like barely had any pepperoni because it expanded so much so and I said again I would have probably you know done something different maybe made the pizza a little bit thicker but I was rushing it's okay but look so you see that like it kind of made this clump like a hump it humpin like all the pepperonis gone almost it's hilarious looking but you can see that purple crust right look at it I got the pretzel crust I really just wanted to show you guys that you can fail epically in the kitchen up here we go again my tripod as I'm going in for the final beauty cut shot my tripod I didn't even pay attention I was rushing so much it just fell right down here I am cutting it thinking I'm getting this great shot but guess what you're not gonna see the shot you're gonna see the post shot you see there's a cheese in the crust I gave it a taste it was incredible but again I wanted to show you guys what happens if you screw up while you're trying to cook something you know life isn't perfect things go wrong and you know most cooking shows they don't want to show you that but we're all human you know we want to know how to fix things when they're screwed up and this is one way to do that and just want to show you that the thing still came out incredible it tasted great it was hilarious it made for a great story anyhow thanks guys for sticking around I hope you've enjoyed this little epic fail videotoday I wanted to show you guys something a little
