OnePlus 5T In 2019 How Does it Fare Now

A Practical User's Experience with the OnePlus 5T

I must say that I was excited to try out the OnePlus 5T, a phone that has been generating a lot of buzz in recent times. As someone who uses their phone extensively for business purposes, I had high expectations from this device. In my opinion, oneplus devices have always tried to read me and honor me, but unfortunately, the OnePlus 5T did not quite live up to my expectations.

When I first started using the phone, I was a bit disappointed with its performance. However, after some time, I found that it had become very comfortable for me to use. The phone's battery life was one area where it excelled. As a heavy user of mobile devices, I need a device that can last me throughout the day. Thankfully, the OnePlus 5T did not disappoint in this regard. Despite being a powerful device, its battery life remained surprisingly good, lasting me a full day even after heavy usage.

Another feature that I appreciated about the phone was its fast charging capabilities. The fact that it came with a 30W charger meant that I could quickly top up my battery when needed. This was a major plus for me, as it saved me time and effort in the long run. In fact, I found myself only needing to charge my phone for about 40 minutes every day, which was more than enough to last me until bedtime.

One of the biggest concerns that I had when considering purchasing a new phone is the issue of lag. As a business user, I need a device that can keep up with my fast-paced lifestyle. Thankfully, the OnePlus 5T did not disappoint in this regard. The phone's performance remained smooth and responsive, even after months of heavy usage. In fact, I was surprised by how well it held up to wear and tear.

The camera on the OnePlus 5T was another area where it impressed me. As a casual photographer, I don't have high expectations from my smartphone's camera. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. The camera took some of the best photos that I've ever taken with a mobile device. Even in low-light conditions, the phone's camera performed admirably, capturing clear and sharp images.

However, there were a few areas where the OnePlus 5T fell short. One major issue was the lack of a headphone jack, which is a feature that many users expect from their smartphones. Despite this, I found that I didn't miss it too much, as most new phones are moving away from the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

In terms of software, the OnePlus 5T ran Oxygen OS, a custom interface developed by OnePlus. While some users may find it restrictive, I found it to be well-designed and user-friendly. The phone's update cycle was also impressive, with regular updates bringing new features and security patches.

Overall, my experience with the OnePlus 5T was positive. As a practical user who needs their phone to get the job done, I appreciated its performance, battery life, and camera capabilities. While it may not be the latest and greatest device in terms of features and design, it has aged well and continues to meet my expectations.

As someone who is not too fussed about having the latest and greatest technology, I found that the OnePlus 5T met all my needs without breaking a sweat. In fact, I'm still using this phone after several months, and it's only because I need a new device that I'll be upgrading soon. When the next OnePlus flagship comes out, I'll likely stick with what I have for as long as possible.

One thing that I will say is that, unlike most Android phones, my experience with the OnePlus 5T was not marred by lag or performance issues. The phone's hardware and software seemed to work in harmony, providing a seamless user experience.

For someone who's used to dealing with older phones that were plagued by lag and other performance issues, it was refreshing to find a device that didn't have these problems. The OnePlus 5T's performance remained smooth and responsive, even after several months of heavy usage.

In terms of the camera, I'm actually a horrible photographer, but even I found the phone's camera to be excellent. When I tried taking some photos, they came out really nice, which was a pleasant surprise.

Of course, there are situations when I need better lighting for my photos, and that's where my friends with newer phones come in handy. But overall, I've been impressed with the OnePlus 5T's camera capabilities.

As we wait for the next OnePlus flagship to be released, it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against this device. One thing is for sure - if you're a practical user like me who needs their phone to get the job done, the OnePlus 5T is definitely worth considering.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is frangie then in this video let's see how this one plus fighting now fairs in 2019 it's been almost one and a half years since it was released and if you recall originally it came out with Android 7.1 now too has gone the Android by update but let's see how good it is and I've been actually using this one for the last six days with my primary cell but I'll also have a special case because one of my cousin actually started using the one plus Phi D from the start and it's still using it so I'll also ask him a couple of questions to see how was his experience so guys this is the one class 550 and this was the special edition Star Wars Edition but don't worry my cousin is editing the regular edition will ask questions to him also and I would say overall it has aged too well and now earlier it came with 7.1 update and I updated it and now if we go about the phone as you can see it's running on Android 9 so it's got the handout PI update and even the security of datas for April so again that way they have done a good job and we have this dark theme also and in terms of you UI and stuff it's fine and I am still not noticing any lag in Snapdragon 835 is a good one but again before I proceed more let's talk about the specs because many many of you must have forgotten about it this one actually comes with a 6.0 one inch AMOLED screen in the 80 mr9 aspect ratio this was the first device from oneplus that moved to the 18 is from 9 aspect ratio earlier it used to be 16s to 9 and this is part with the snapdragon 835 chipset which is octa-core chipset Maslin 10 nanometer process and again as you can see it still handles everything fine on this one without any issues and it has the Adreno 540 GPU i didn't do a lot of gaming guys i did play as fan 9 on this and asked for a 9 ran fine without any issues and it comes in two storage variants 6 and 6 gigabytes of RAM and 64gb of storage and hey trigger bytes of ram that comes with 128 gigabytes of storage moving to the camera it has the dual the raid camera setup but the focal man the cameras was same the main camera is a 16 megapixel @f 1.7 and secondary is 20 megapixel at f 1.7 that helps in boquete and other effects the front-facing camera was actually a 16 megapixel shooter on this one now it has that 3300 milliamp hour battery with - fast charging so as you see again the general performance is actually good and so in that aspect it has aged well and I'm happy that oneplus continue to give it the updates and stuff and this I'm really liking one thing on this phone again I don't have a notification now but this one does have a physical LED notification light so it grows in different colors so I like that I miss that on the new one plus devices and now I'm going to the speaker also yeah this has a single speaker here but it has actually pretty loud I did take a lot of voice calls a speaker phone also they were loud even while playing as fact it was actually pretty pretty loud and now still the phone is pretty fluid I didn't notice any lag heinous while I was using the phone so that way it has aged a very vet died in its oxygen OS so it's familiar I like that it doesn't add a lot of bloatware hence still it's very fluid in operations also the rom management was good on this phone everything when you just click it just pops in and so no issues one surprise for me was that with my 8 tells him now volte this supported earlier when it came out the volt he was not working with the atl but now with a tell some volte is there and obviously it works even with CHEO now I'm moving to the battery life on paper that just has a 3300 milliamp hour battery but I would say the battery life that I was getting on this one is actually really good easily about full day even with two sims I was always having about 25% battery left and I mostly used with a single sim and what I liked about this one was that the standby time is actually really good on this one for example on weekends I don't get a lot of calls not very heavy usage and then also the battery level so so I'm surprised that even after about one and a half years the battery life is actually pretty good on this device so guys here are half my cousin we make over here high with it and you I mean actually using this one plus Phi T from when it was launched right so almost wanted obvious yeah a little over and still we are using it this is your only phone I could say yeah only primary phone yes and you using it with two sons yes geo for Internet and grades okay before this let me give a brief idea that before using this this is not your first one plus device yes I started off with the first launch of one plus one so use the one plus one and how long did you actually use the one plus one more than a one and half year so one and a half years we have used it and why did you move out of one class one the screen broke basically by accident so okay so he's not the most careful user out there means you don't baby your devices right yeah I'm a little casual with my phone okay so then you move down to some other Android devices from other manufacturers I believe you try to read me you try to honor etc but now you are back to this one plus again yes when I use the other phones when I migrated from one plus one plus was also very nice device it's fulfilled my requirements okay but when I am going to say for example that me or honor they were kind of okay but not really because I'm mostly on phone business means a business user takes a lot of course mostly on the phone so I would like my device to be a little more yeah friendly I should say but how's the battery life faring because you are sort of for heavy was there any user to put two sons yes um I couldn't say it deteriorated a little bit Robert did not impact me much okay it still lasts a full day for me so it's surprising you need still you would say in battery yes and do you like the because the oneplus device always came with the - charge so do you appreciate that oh yes of course now for example I only charge in 21 June 24 hours ok so before I go to office I charge it for about 40 minutes and it lasts for the entire day for me major issue with most of the Android phones the lake was that because I test a lot of phones I get a lot of user feedback is after a year or so a phone you will start getting lag and stuff so how's your experience with this 550 I would say I am still comfortable with the die I did not feel that much of a lag difference or something so laggy necessary on sale like moving on and it also got upgraded because originally it came with 7.1 now it's Android PI so what is it is like Android 9 now the latest one I get this one yeah do you think it will last that's the question it's as I asked this question to the night before coming you feel now you're compelled to upgrade to a new phone or do you think this will still suffice you for some time see in the market now since one and half years a lot of new things have come so I have this urge to buy something video ok you are better camera better ok this thing but I would not buy a new phone just for the sake of it ok you're not my son not compared to not working fine then I will okay let's talk about cameras also but again you are not too picky about cameras what do you do have small kids in the house so you do take some photographs so what's your experience I'm actually a horrible photographer but well this one time it was very comfortable taking photographs ok so like I said I'm very casual in terms of that and when I tried clicking photographs they came out really nice when the bell to the other phones that I had older phones that older phones they were ok but blurry photos and stuff like that here I don't struggle so much casually I would do that ok there are situations when you go out with friends in the evening and stuff probably I will not get a good selfie to vary your lighting situation but fortunately I have friends were nicer phones ok so hopefully I think the oneplus yeah now the camera is almost one and a half years old and we're hearing rumors that the next one plus that is going to come might have better cameras let's see I used headphone jack so you record that that I listened the new phones would be you think that most of the new flak shirts are missing on the 3.5 mm headphone jack right yeah probably I would buy one with so yeah so I would say your experience is nice and that's what I use this again this fighty for a week and I can relate to the experience that we make at U is still very smooth no lags and again that's you know that oxygen OS and optimization so or I feel yes it has aged well so you think it has a used to actually well yes I didn't need this value for money okay and you still don't need to upgrade all you might not update to the new one that is coming out right now yeah this is this is this suffice is my need okay a very practical user you are not after what comes the latest I have to buy it right I have the urge but I still very practical yeah it gets my job done look like as long as it is getting done I don't really care for so again so that was the quick look at experience of the rig with the 1 plus 5t the 1 plus 7 is going to come out guys very soon so let's see what 1 + but does with that do let me know what do you think about this video this different kind of video do let me know in the youtube comment section below that's it for now thanks for watching this is Ranjith and hope to see you later and thanks we wait for coming here thank you guyshi there this is frangie then in this video let's see how this one plus fighting now fairs in 2019 it's been almost one and a half years since it was released and if you
