The Art of Halloween Transformation: A Step-by-Step Guide with Marissa
In this unique and entertaining article, we'll delve into the world of Halloween transformation with the talented Marissa. From creating a stunning leopard print design to crafting adorable bunny ears, Marissa takes us through her creative process with ease and precision.
Marissa's first project involves transforming someone into a feline queen. She begins by applying a coat of goldish bronzy shimmer to create a striking base for the leopard print. With an asymmetrical look in mind, she carefully applies the shimmer to ensure a seamless blend of color and texture. Next, she brings forth the leopard print itself, working around her subject's right eye with precision and care.
As the transformation takes shape, Marissa continues to refine the design, adding delicate strokes of medium brown shade to enhance the overall effect. She outlines the lower water line with a matching brown eyeliner, creating a stunning contrast that accentuates the feline features. The pièce de résistance is the leopard spot pattern, carefully crafted using pure white eyeliner and applied in a close-together, rounded square design.
With the feline transformation complete, Marissa moves on to her next project – a giraffe-inspired look. She begins by brightening up the subject's eye area with a medium brown shade, creating a stunning base for the giraffe spots. With a focus on accuracy and detail, she carefully outlines the inner corner of the eye using black eyeliner and creates a subtle contrast around the brows.
As the transformation takes shape, Marissa adds depth to the design with jumbo eye pencil strokes, carving out rounded shapes that blend seamlessly into the surrounding skin tone. She accentuates the subject's nose with precision, creating a lifelike feature that enhances the overall effect. A thin line is carefully applied from the nose to the top of the lip, defining the subtle curves of the subject's face.
With the giraffe transformation complete, Marissa takes on her final project – transforming someone into an adorable bunny. She begins by applying a coat of translucent powder to knock away any shine and create a smooth canvas for makeup. With a focus on natural beauty, she carefully outlines the subject's eyes with black eyeliner, creating a subtle contrast that enhances the overall effect.

out.But I promise this isgoing to be really cool.Today, we have a very specialguest, my friend Marissa. She is on the YouTubes. She is on the Instagrams. And she is an extremelytalented makeup artist. So tell us whatyou're going to do.I'm going to be doingsuper affordable drugstoreHalloween looks on Gabby anda couple other people today. And all the makeup thatI'm going to be usingis probably alreadyin your makeup bag,or if you run to thedrugstore, it'll justcost you a couple of dollars.Important question-- what lookare you going to give me today? You're going to be a bunny--so excited.OK, I can't wait to get started.Let's do it.Let's do it.You remember my peep, Danielle?Hey, peeps.Hey, people.Hey guys.So Marissa, what are yougoing to be doing today?Hi.I'm going to be doing a reallycute classic cat look on her,and then we're goingto be upgrading itwith some spots for a leopard.Oh, gosh!We practiced this.Rawr! All right, she's all yours.I'm going to startoff with eye primer. It's a couple dollarsfrom the drugstore.I like to take the eye primerall the way up to the browjust to brightenthe whole eye area.Next I'm going to beusing this eye palette. It's a nice transition fromlight shades to dark shades.Take the lightestshade in the palette, and focus that on theinner corners of her eye.I'm going to be using thisneutral pink as a transitionshade into her crease. The next shade I'm going tobe using is this dark brown.Focus this on theouter V of her eye.To give her moreof a cat eye look, flick the rest ofthe product outwards. To darken thingsup a little bit,I'm going to be taking thedarker shade in the paletteand placing that on the veryouter portion of her eye.I'm going to be placing thiseye crayon all over her lid.Take more of thisdarker shade justto accentuate the outercorners a little bit more.Take a bigger fluffy brushthat has no product on itand just blend the edges.I'm going to be taking thiscream eyeliner that, again, isjust a couple of dollarsfrom the drugstore, and I'm going to be usingthis uber tiny brushfor all the detail work. With that liner, I'm just goingto be drawing a pretty thickline from above her lash line. And we're going to flickit out and make a wing.I'm going to haveher open her eyes. And then I'm going to drawan extension of the eyelineron her inner corners. All right, next takethis medium brown shade, and I'm going to place thisunderneath the waterline. To deepen the outer corner, take the darkest shade again, and I put this onthe lower lash line.Next, take thisbronzer, and we'regoing to do some pretty heavybronzing on her cheekbones.Along with her cheekbones, takethe bronzer on her forehead, and also on thesides of her nose.I'm going to be taking adarker contour shade outof this palette andfocusing that whereI had just put the bronzer. From that same palette, I'mgoing to be using this prettypink color as her blush.Take the darkestbrown shade again, and I'm going to be usingthis to chisel her nose. You can also just use a darkbrown eyeshadow as well.Instead of usingwhite cake makeup,I'm going to be using thisultra light white concealerthe same way.And we're going to startcarving out her noseand the mouth of the cat.Using this concealer justlightens her skin tone.Take whatever'sleft on the brushthat I used tochisel out her noseand just go over theedges of that white.Take that same concealer anduse it to hide her bottom lip.I'm going to betaking this powderand using this toset all the areasthat I used that concealer. Now we're going to giveher cute little whiskers.Take that same blackeyeliner that I used before, and we're going to startthe detail work on her noseand around her mouth. With that tiny brush,I'm going to bedrawing a straightline down from her noseall the way to her lip.Since cat lips are angleddown, we hit the bottom lip,and we're going to accent thetop lip at a downward angle. When you're drawing thedots, you don't haveto go in any particular order.Just create littledots in various places. With that same tinybrush and that eyelinerI used before, we'regoing to start makingthe dots for the leopard print.Just create half Csor do parentheses.I prefer an asymmetrical look.I'm working in an arcaround her right eye.I'm continuing the leopardprint onto her neck.Rar.I'm going to betaking this reallypretty goldish bronzeshimmer and usingthis to fill in the prints.Coat her lashes, andthis look is complete.I brought your ears.Oh.Oh!I was taken aback there. You look so cute.OK, ready?Finishing touches right here. Are you ready to see yourself?I'm ready. Are you sure?Oh!Do I look like a cat?Oh, you do.You look so good.Yeah.OK, I'm ready.Do you see it?Whoa!I really look like a cat!You did such a good job. That looks great!Oh my gosh.Wow!All right, on to the next one.Yes.What's next?A giraffe.First step is going tobe taking that same eyebase as before and justbrightening up the eye area.So I'm just going to takethis medium brown shadeon a fluffy brush and putthis on her whole entire lid.Taking that same brownshade, and I'm going to placethat on the lower water line. Now I'm going to takethis brown eyelinerand we're going to startmaking our giraffe spots.I'm going to be creating aclose pattern of rounded squaresthat fit together, andfilling them in as I go.Now take this purewhite eyeliner.Outline littleparts of the spots.Taking this neutralpink lipstick,it matches her lip coloralmost perfectly, whichis what we want for this look.Last but not least-- superthick and long eyelashesto mimic giraffe eyes. While I'm waiting forher lashes to dry,I'm going to coather natural lashes, and also coat the false lashes,to make it more seamless.Add some giraffe ears, and this look is complete.Let me see the giraffe.Oh my gosh.Marissa, I have tosay you really stuckyour neck out on this one.Boo!That's totally obnoxious. So are you going to showme what I look like?I can't wait.Giraffes are sassy. They don't need it.Are they?Oh my gosh, I love it!Oh my gosh, thatlooks so realistic.I love it.Yay.I feel really tall right now.Get out of my chair.I'm ready.OK.I'm ready for my turn now.I'm out, I'm out.Take a little bit oftranslucent powder justto knock away any shine.Sorry.That was-- I freak outwhen people touch my face. She already hassome eyeliner on,so I'm just going totake this black eyeliner, and we're going to accentuatethe inner corner of her eye.Apply a thin line allacross her lash line.Take this pure whiteeyeshadow base, and create a smallcircle around her brows.I'm also going to takethis jumbo eye penciland go right overthat on her brows justto make it a littlebit more bright.Take the same jumbopencil, and carving outaround her mouth and her chin. You don't have to beprecise with this. We're going to create fakehairs in just a second.Take that same pencilall over her lips.To set all theareas of white, takesome translucent powderon a big fluffy brush, and just set thoseareas in place. With a very tiny brush, makea very thin line from her noseto the top of her lip.Now take this pink linerand forming her nose.Take this whiteeyeliner, and we'regoing to make hair-like strokesthrough the white aroundher mouth and her eyebrows.Go back in with thiswhite eye pencil, and we're just going to brightenand blend all the areas. Now take the white shadowout of this palette, and set all the areas of white. Now take this prettypink shade and applythis to her upper lip.All right, place on yourbunny ears, and this lookis complete. You look so cute. Are you ready to see yourself?Yay!Yes.I am adorable! You are the cutest.Oh my god, I'mliterally a bunny.Job well done, Marissa.Thank you.I'm going to go put onthe perfect bunny dress, and then I'll be right back.OK, guys.Well, we're finally done. And honestly, I thinkwe look adorable. And Danielle,
