The Launch of Sony's 360 Reality Audio Technology: A New Dimension of Music Experience
A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to experience something new and exciting in New York City - the launch of Sony's 360 reality audio technology. I would like to extend a big thank you to Sony for sponsoring this video and giving us access to this innovative technology.
As many of you know, Sony is a well-known brand that produces high-quality headphones with very long names. If you have any pair of headphones in your bag, chances are it's one of their products. I like about this technology is that you don't necessarily need to use Sony's headphones to experience 360 audio. The technology can be paired with any pair of headphones, from the cheapest ones that come in the box with your phone to the most expensive cans.
One of the most impressive aspects of 360 reality audio is its ability to create a truly immersive experience. Imagine being able to hear drums on one side, horns on another, and vocalists all around you, as if they're standing almost right next to you. It's like having a special concert just for you. This technology works by using three-dimensional audio to create a surround sound effect that simulates the way music is typically heard in a live performance.
To experience 360 reality audio, I downloaded the Sony headphones app on my phone and paired it with a pair of Sony WH-1000X M3s. The app allowed me to customize the settings and optimize the audio for my specific ear shape. The process was relatively easy, and before long, I was ready to start exploring the world of 360 reality audio.
The app uses advanced algorithms to analyze the shape of your ears and create a customized sound field that is tailored to your unique hearing experience. This means that you can enjoy a more accurate and immersive listening experience, with instruments and vocals appearing in different directions around you. The app also allows you to customize the sound settings, so you can choose from various audio modes and effects.
I was thrilled to discover that 360 reality audio is already being used by several music streaming services, including Deezer's "360" feature, Nugs.net, and Tidal. These services offer exclusive playlists and songs that are specifically designed to showcase the capabilities of 360 reality audio. I also found out that some popular artists have remastered their songs using this technology, making them available exclusively on these platforms.
One of the best things about 360 reality audio is its accessibility. It doesn't require any special headphones or hardware, and it's compatible with most streaming services. This means that anyone can experience the thrill of 360 reality audio, regardless of their budget or preferences. The technology works seamlessly with a wide range of headphones, from budget-friendly options to high-end models.
As I explored the world of 360 reality audio, I was struck by its ability to transport me to new and exciting sonic landscapes. The technology is truly revolutionary, and it's hard to imagine going back to listening to music in any other way once you've experienced it. Sony deserves a huge credit for making this technology accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or preferences.
In conclusion, 360 reality audio is a game-changer in the world of music. It offers an immersive and engaging experience that simulates the way we typically hear music in live performances. With its accessibility, compatibility, and innovative technology, it's no wonder why this technology has been generating so much excitement among music lovers. If you're interested in trying out 360 reality audio for yourself, I highly recommend checking out the Sony headphones app and exploring the world of exclusive playlists and remastered songs. It's an experience that will leave you breathless and wanting more.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: ena few weeks ago we had a chance to go to New York City check out a new technology that I hadn't experienced yet it was a launch of Sony's 360 reality audio and a big shout out and thank you to Sony for sponsoring this video but I hadn't experienced 360 audio like this before now you probably know Sony they make some of the best headphones going with very long names you probably have a pair in your bag what I like about this technology was that you didn't have to be paired with Sony's headphones now you can and you get an augment the experience if you do it that way but these will work with any pair of headphones from the cheapest pair of headphones that come in the box with your phone the most expensive pair of cans this tech will work and most importantly the tech sounds absolutely amazing Sony's working hand in hand with music production houses and producers essentially let them create music and place instruments in a 360 space not just on either side of your ears they're teaming up with streaming services as well to offer customized playlists and songs that can give you this crazy experience and it's interesting to hear the difference so the catch of all of this is like I can't show you what the audio sounds like you can't see it with your own eyes but that's not gonna stop me from trying so 360 audio is a hard thing to explain but 360 video you know you're not limited to just one frame you can move and experience the world differently it's the same thing with 3d audio imagine you could have drums here you could have horns setup here you could have your vocalists here and you're all standing almost in the middle of it it's like a special concert just for you so again this will work with any kind of headphones but if you want to use a pair of Sony headphones the app gives you extra options it's actually can map out your ear so I've got a pair of a wh 1000 X M threes here I've downloaded on my phone this will work for iOS or Android the Sony headphones app so turn it on so now I'm prompted to do the 360 reality audio setup that happens right when you pair go ahead hit next so give you the ability to kind of hear a little bit of a sample so I'm gonna put this on and let's hear it it does sound like it's coming from everywhere not just left and right so there are couple stripping services already set up for 260 reality audio you've got 360 by Deezer nugs net and title I've got title already set up here so we'd go to start set up alright so we can accurately reproduce the best sound field for you by analyzing the shape of your ears so I'm gonna take pictures of my ears so analyze my ear shape I'll do that next and again this will work with iOS or Android take a photo of your left ear okay all right so it can like to talk to me and tell me where to move it now I see a picture of my left here let's do it there right here please do not count your photo that's cool all right so my right years been successfully captured that was quick analyzing my ears alright so got everything all set up put the headphones on all right so let me launch title here I've got 360 reality audio playlists alright a little toxic by Britney Spears going on can't you see I'm talking by like you if you want to know if you're listening to a song though that's been remastered it's pretty easy to find so you pick a song and then you go to the album art you can see there's little 360 right there let you know that it's red your rock to get everything all set up listen to a few tracks the difference here is really strong it doesn't sound like regular audio versus slightly better regular audio it sounds like a different music experience I think the best part of this whole thing is it's totally free it'll work with a bunch of in streaming services it'll work with teaser title nugs dotnet and as long as you've got one those services there's nothing else that you need you'll even need a pair of Sony headphones to get this to work it just kind of augments the experience hopefully more songs will get added and heard of a bunch of songs any song you would want hopefully eventually be remastered for 360 audio because once you hear it it's really hard to go back to listening just regular music so this is a really cool experience and I liked it for a few reasons first I hadn't heard anything like this before but also the free part that you don't need special headphones or special hardware or another service to make this work any pair of headphones you can experience this sort of rich immersive 3d audio I'll link to it down below if you want to check it out it's totally worth it again work without ever a pair of headphones you've got it's a really different way to experience music and I give Sony a ton of credit for sort of working to make this technology but then also working to make it sort of be compatible with absolutely any pair of headphones out there so thumbs up to them for that again link down below it's worth checking out\n"
