we have here is actually a handheld I've been wanting to test out for a little while it's known as the trim UI Pro and one of the big reasons is the Forum Factor here it's kind of a mixed between the switch light and the PS Vita I personally think it looks really good got some RGB around the Dual analog sticks up front here it's a really thin design and we've got a pretty big screen when you compared to other handhelds on the market it's a 4.96 in IPS with a resolution of 720x 1280 and as you can see like I mentioned it's kind of a mix between the switch and the VM I do like the overall design very thin it'll slide right in your pocket and I love having that much larger screen down here on the bottom we've got a function slider and this will actually put us into high performance mode we've also got a USB type-c port micro SD card slot and and the 3.5 mm audio jack up top we've got our volume rocker power button and another USB type-c port all specs again we've got that 4.96 in IPS with a resolution of 720x 1280 it is a fully laminated display and actually looks really good here and from the settings we've got full control over the color gamut so saturation and everything like that can be changed CPU is the all winner a133 P at 1.8 GHz it's got a power VR G e 8300 GPU running it up to 6600 MHz 1 GB of LP DDR 4X Ram 8 gbes of internal emmc storage plus we've got a Micro SD card slot built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 and this is running a custom version of Linux out of the box and speaking of that operating system very easy to navigate we've got our recently played favorites and we can get right in here and choose which system we want to emulate and with this we can basically go up to PSP comfortably now it's not going to run every single PSP game at full speed you may need to add a little bit of frame skip but anywhere in between it does a really good job even Nintendo DS and N64 and since we've got Wi-Fi built in here we can actually stream directly from our PC so you can set up something like Moonlight right over here in our app section Moonlight it's got a video player music player we can format that SD card directly from here user manual built into the OS and finally at the far end we've got our settings now one of the main settings that I've been messing around with is just the display because when it comes to a lot of these retro handhelds on the market we really don't have any control except for brightness but with this we've got our backlight control contrast and saturation so you can really tweak and tune this display to your liking there's a few other settings here like our Wi-Fi we can connect directly from here remap the built-in Keys it also supports Bluetooth and uh if you wanted to do a firmware upgrade if they ever release anything we can go right in here to settings and there is kind of a flash mode built in but this just gives you a good idea of what we're working with here and by the way this is a multilanguage handheld so you can swap it out on the Fly it'll change it across the board heading into one of these systems you can see we've got box art so you know exactly what you're going to be playing and it doesn't contain every single box art for each game on here but it kind of gives you a good idea and you can always add more down the road we're going to start here with some GBA going with Sonic Advance 2 there are a few Standalone emulators but for the most part the lower-end stuff is going to be using retro Arch and I do like the feel of this d-pad here it's not bad at all pressing the menu button in any emulator be it retro Arch or Standalone we've got our save and load feature and it really depends on what emulator you're using but the advanced menu will bring us into Retro Arch because we're using retro arch for GBA you could change these bezels out but I actually like the way they look they're kind of themed for the handheld and I've been testing a lot of GBA on this thing it does run great the way it is but again since we have retro Arch there's a lot of tuning we could do here the chipset that they're using here is definitely not the most powerful but for what they say we can emulate it does a decent job up to PSP they don't claim this will do Gamecube or anything like that because we just don't have enough power for it but the next one I wanted to take a look at was some PlayStation 1 emulation bloody Roar 2 and with PS1 a lot of different systems are going to be able to run these games at full speed by the way I did turn the music off in the game uh we do have the sound effects but that music is copywritten so I just disabled it from the menu and these fighting games on this machine are really great this will also handle a lot of the N64 games but I'm a little disappointed that we don't have those bezels up right now uh it would be really cool to have a bezel system for this and you could add it but just out of the box it wasn't here I've tested even D7 got a few stutters every once in a while with that game but for the most part it's pretty playable and I definitely wanted to test out PSP so we've got Tekken 5 here and there's no frame skip on we're at 1X resolution with that volan back in this is a really playable experience but I did test out chains of Olympus and I needed to turn on frame skip in order to get a really smooth experience and even then it's not going to run at 60 it's only going to run at 30 so overall I actually love the form factor and I will have a full video coming up soon this was kind of just a the first look again this was one that I really wanted to get my hands on I just kind of skipped it there's so many out there right now but you know given the price of this thing it's not a bad little deal I love the form factor the other handheld they sent over was the Mayo a30 and this is a very small form factor handheld uh does come with a case it's got a 2.8 in display now the display on this doesn't get as bright as some others but you know gameplay here is pretty good for the lower end stuff and with the smaller hand held like this you can't expect to be running Gamecube or even PSP this is more tailored towards SNES Game Boy GBA PC engine and I'll tell you if you've got much larger hands then this one probably isn't for you just given the form factor but the buttons feel great we've also got a single analog stick over on the Le hand side d-pad isn't bad at all on this taking a look over the unit down here we've got a single micro SD card slot over here on the right hand side dual LED indicators plus our power button and of course moving around top we've got our volume rocker USB type-c menu button and our shoulder and triggers and when it comes to the overall specs of the a30 for the CPU they opted to use the all- winner a33 this is quadcore A7 arm s so we've got a Mali 400 mp2 GPU 512 mby of ram a 2.8 in IPS display at 640x 480 this also has 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi built in which comes in really handy for net play session and this is running Linux just like the Miu mini is moving over to the operating system up front here we've got our recents favorites games and from games this is just going to give us a list of all of the systems that are compatible with this unit and uh even though we have like PSP and N64 listed here it doesn't mean that it's going to run every single game at full speed I've tested a few PSP and N64 games and it is a bit hit or miss on this a33 CPU and it's kind of the same thing when it comes to Dreamcast but you know if you're looking to do Game Boy gbaa NES Super Nintendo this has got you covered no problem at all we also got our retroarch section which is going to allow us to launch each individual core we can go directly into Retro Arch also our CPU frequency with the default setting not exactly sure how far it goes up but we've got an 816 setting 1 1200 and 1.4 GHz setting I personally don't notice much of a difference with the higher-end emulators from default up to that 1. 4 setting so I think default is kind of taking us all the way up there but moving down the list a bit more we've got USB storage and so on and so on as for the overall UI very easy to use and I mean if you've never used one of these handhelds in the past and were handed this you could navigate right to the game section start up a game in no time one of my favorite systems to run on these handhelds is GBA and with any of these systems we've actually got the menu button up top now if you're using a standalone emulator it's going to give us a bit of a different menu here but we can save and load or we can go to our native menus since I'm using retro arch for GBA it'll bring us right into Retro Arch and we've got full access there so if you did want to turn on a frame counter add some scan lines you could easily do it from retro Arch and when it comes to GBA performance we've got more than enough power here d-pad feeling really nice and it's very reminiscent of something like a Game Boy micro now it is a bit bigger but uh you know having that pocketable size there being able to play thousands of retro games is really awesome and the
