6 romance series to marathon this fall_winter _ Chanmas Day 7

**Fall Romance Marathons: Six Series to Get You in the Mood**

As the weather cools down and the leaves start to change, there's no better time to cozy up with a good book. For fans of dark romances, the fall season is the perfect excuse to settle in with a series that will keep you on the edge of your seat. In this article, we'll be counting down six romance series that are sure to get you in the mood for the spooky and suspenseful atmosphere of Fall.

**1. The Devil's Night Series**

The Devil's Night Series is a collection of dark romances that are told very differently from each other. The series itself centers around Devil's Night, which is the day before Halloween, and features a lot of eerie settings, old churches, and atmospheric tension. Each book in the series has its own unique triggers and themes, but they all share a common thread of being dark and suspenseful. I personally enjoyed three out of the four books in this series and feel that it does redemption arcs really well. If you're into dark romances, this is definitely a series worth checking out.

**2. The Ravenhood Series by Kate Stewart**

I recently read the Ravenhood Series by Kate Stewart last fall, and I didn't get to talk about it with anyone until now. I just had to share my enthusiasm for this series with all of you. This series gives me all the vibes of the song "Daddy Issues" by The Neighborhood - both in tone and some of the lyrics. It's a moody, angsty book that reminds me of a rainy day or a fall evening. Although it's set in the summer, there's something about this book that feels like it's meant to be read on a gloomy day. This series is hard to summarize, but I'll try my best to give you an idea of what it's about.

The Ravenhood Series follows Cecilia, a girl who ends up living with her dad after... well, I don't even remember why she goes back home. Anyway, she moves to a new town and starts at a new school, where she meets three guys who become connected to her in different ways. As it turns out, there are secrets to their relationships that Cecilia wants to uncover, and she gets herself into all sorts of trouble trying to figure them out. There's a lot of angst and heartbreak in this series, but I loved every minute of it. The author has a way with words that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

If you're looking for a book with a coherent plot that will answer all your questions, this might not be the best choice. But if you're in the mood for something moody and suspenseful, with plenty of twists and turns, then the Ravenhood Series is definitely worth checking out. I also enjoyed the polyamorous vibes to the story - it's not a traditional love triangle, but rather a complex web of relationships that are interesting to explore.

**3. Other Recommendations**

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello welcome back to my channel and welcome to the seventh day of jamis today i'm going to be talking about my six romance series that i feel like are perfect to marathon this time of year first up we have the winston brothers series by penny reed this series is kind of what inspired me to make this video in the first place i was kind of perusing goodreads as i always do and i was looking at some of the spin-off series of this one pennyread does a really cool thing where she invites other authors to write within her worlds and it did remind me of how much i loved the original winston brothers books and how i feel like i've never really talked about them here on my channel and i really wanted to recommend them to you i think specifically why i love the series so much is because it is set in this charming small town in tennessee and i read this book series for the first time when i was visiting tennessee to see my family and it was just the perfect time of year to read the books as well it was in the fall and it just gave me all the cozy vibes i think there's something to be said for being able to just like marathon a series all at once and that is certainly what i did with these books anyway this series is about shockingly the winston brothers who live in this small town in tennessee called green valley it is about all of their individual romances i want to say there's like five or six brothers and they all have a very very different personalities and end up with very very different women but the way that penny reid is able to tell these stories is i think really what sets it apart from other small town romance series i'll be honest with you i was really hesitant to pick up a like small town romance series i feel like for some reason they've never really appealed to me i think maybe because of some stereotypes of small towns i think there's definitely a charm and a romanticization of small towns in books but i also feel like they can fall into like stereotypes that i don't love so anyway i've just historically stayed away from small town romances but can you read she really killed it and she really made me love just every aspect about these books so i think for me what really sets her writing apart from others is the way that she really does her homework she is such a gifted and talented writer and she really knows what necessary ingredients she needs to put into a romance to make it work i mean if you're looking for fantastic puzzle piece style romances which is something that i talk about a lot on my channel uh and and to me it means romance is where you understand why the characters not only are awesome but why they would work together really well i just feel like she is so great at putting those together and making it really work and this series is no exception i've tried to read some of her other books and they haven't worked quite as well but these books are so fantastic and i've loved almost every single one of them if you have to pick just one though to read i definitely recommend book number three which is cletus's story loved his romance i thought it was fantastic and i think everybody tends to pick that one as their favorite so i would really recommend this series i would say this one it definitely gives me like apple cider fall time vibes it's a little late for that in some parts of the country but for me it's still just getting cold here so i would i would still recommend picking it up next up we have a historical romance series by lisa klepis which if you know anything about me you'll know was kind of a shocking pick i have not had the best of luck with lisa klepis's books in the past i've heard such good things about her as a writer but the couple of individual like standalone books i've read by her have not really connected with me in the same way that maybe some other historical romance authors connect with me that all kind of changed when i picked up this series and i think that's part of the reason why i'm recommending it so the hathaways is about wait for it the hathaways and they are a family who has recently come into this sort of aristocratic inheritance and they have been basically overnight been given this grand home and this money that they are supposed to use wisely hopefully and now they have to kind of understand how to navigate high society when before they had no idea kind of really anything about high society there is like an eldest sister there's an elder brother and then there's a few different younger sisters who all have very interesting personalities and it's just so fascinating to see them kind of navigate high society throughout the series granted i haven't finished it but i feel secure and confident enough in recommending them from the couple of books that i've read because it's just so fun and the reason that i recommend these for the fall and winter time is because the first book is set at least partially in the winter there's a lot of emphasis on snow and just something about the way the story is written and the way the romance is in this book it gives me very like cozy christmas time vibes there's definitely a lot of tension in these books i feel like there is a lot of good juicy angst which is exactly what i'm looking for in a historical romance series i just i really like these books and i feel like if you're looking for something to really be able to marathon these books are definitely it okay now i'm going to attempt to sell you on the black dagger brotherhood series for what i feel like is the thousandth time which isn't really true i feel like i don't talk about the series nearly enough but the black dagger brotherhood series by jr ward is what got me into romance in the first place i would be remiss not to mention it here for this video especially because it is this like very rich fantasy series it's a paranormal fantasy series i guess you could say it feels weird to say normal fantasy maybe just a paranormal romance series about a band of vampire warriors and i i don't know i have such nostalgia for this series but even 10 years later i really do feel like it holds up and i say 10 years for me it's been about 10 years since i started the series but i think it's been around for about 20 at this point which is absolutely wild to think about but let me talk to you about what these books are about and really try to sell you so the black tiger brotherhood series is about the black tiger brotherhood they are this band of warrior vampires whose main duty and goal in life is to take out these humans turned evil and ensure that their race doesn't die out the kind of evil humans have been made by this evil god and the vampires are made from this good god and so they're kind of like battling at any given time and the vampires in this series i really enjoy because the mythology behind them is so different than any other vampire mythology that i've read before they're not like evil blood sucking have been turned kind of vampires these vampires are born not made and instead of feeding on humans for sustenance of any kind they end up feeding on members of the opposite sex of their own race so it is yeah it's very different they are just a very different race of being but they are their own independent race they're not like made from humans so i think it creates kind of an interesting relationship between vampires and humans and vampires and other species in this series i i just love them there's something so nostalgic about them because i've read them in the past and partially because these books are set in the early 2000s and have a lot of early 2000s references i think that could be off-putting to some readers who don't like a lot of pop culture references in their stories but there's something just so like fun and nostalgic if you like would definitely rock a juicy couture tracksuit in 2021 i feel like you would maybe enjoy these books they're just a lot of fun and the romances are the kind that i like in a good paranormal romance series i've never found anything like them they have a lot of like faded mate type of tropes and like a we are mated forever type of thing which i just love it's definitely not a happy for now kind of romance if you're familiar with um any of nalini singh's books these are kind of the opposite in that regard it's not happy for now it is a happily after like they are together forever i love it i really do one thing to note about the series is that it is a continuous plot line throughout all of the books each book has a different couple but the plot line kind of carries on throughout all of the books the first couple of ones i think you can get away with just reading one but after the first like you know five or six you're definitely gonna want to um buckle up for the rest of the series so if i could only recommend one book i would say read the third book it's one of my favorite books of all time but i still think you should marathon the series it's a lot of fun it's very immersive and i think it is unlike anything that i have read before oh also i don't think i mentioned why i put this on my list for fall and winter but this is set in upstate new york and so there's a lot of like cold winter vibes and also there's just something about a good like paranormal or fantasy series that really screams like fall in winter to me okay next up is a not so straightforward pick we have the hidden legacy series by elena andrews i picked this one mostly because i read it in the fall and winter i'll be honest with you it is set in swampy houston which does not scream delightful cold weather romance because if you know anything about texas you know it doesn't really get cold here but i think it's really appropriate to read really any time of year but specifically i read it in fall so i'm just going to tell you to read it in the fall hi nugget anyway this series is about our heroine nevada baylor who kicks off the series i'll mention more about that later and she is this kind of magical private investigator if you will at the start of the story she is just doing typical private investigator work she is finding you know cheating spouses but as the series evolves she ends up becoming more and more entrenched into this magical society so in this world it's kind of like an alternative us if you will the us government has found this kind of serum that gives their soldiers this magical fighting ability and all of the powers that are imbued upon them are kind of random and are very different some people can read minds some people can light stuff on fire there's a bunch of different things that you can have and this serum has basically been given to the general populace i don't think it was on purpose but it has entered the general populace and the richest the most powerful people in this society are ones with magic and they really think that magic is super important and now they marry for it so once it is in your bloodline it is something that you want to carry on and nevada gets kind of caught up in this world when she is asked to hunt down this kind of notorious magic user but things aren't so simple because she has to team up with a different notorious magic user he's a good guy but he's kind of notorious for being like wildly powerful and kind of reclusive she ends up teaming up with him to find the bad guy and it's kind of a slow burn romance between the first three books and i think there's something so delightful about the way that this series is mapped out there is kind of this like overarching plot line over all of the books but the first three books follow nevada baylor the next three follow her sister and i think the next three after that are gonna follow another sister but i think it's pretty great that they don't continue on past three books with the same couple there's something about a series that's like 20 bucks long that all has the same couple in a like paranormal or urban fantasy book thing that just doesn't work for me i like a good slow burn but also it's like how much added drama is there gonna be when you have to really draw the tension or have them like break up a couple times you don't have to do that in this book series but like there's a little bit of sliver between the three books and then you get to see other characters and get to know them better and i think it's delightful i feel like of all of the paranormal fantasy urban fantasy kind of romances that i've read this one definitely has the best world the best world building and the most coherent plots so if you're looking for something really really good i would really recommend this book series this is definitely not a series for people who are just looking for like quick hookups like steaminess uh which i feel like you kind of get from blackdecker brotherhood sometimes this is definitely for like true fantasy lovers and i love it and i would recommend marathoning it in the fall because that's what i did a book series that is actually set in the fall so it feels appropriate to recommend would be the devil's night series by penelope douglas i think most people have have read this book series but i feel like it appeared repeating here in this video so the devil's night series is about a group of four dudes who are kind of seeking revenge on people in their life various different people three of the four guys end up going to prison after like a prank gone wrong and they're trying to kind of figure out why they were necessarily put in prison they kind of figured that out in the first book but there's also a little bit of unfinished business between these guys and a couple of the women that they end up with and it's just an interesting dark romance series i will point out that it is a dark romance series and if you're not prepared for that don't pick these up definitely recommend reading reviews and trigger warnings before picking up the books they all have different you know triggers and things like that because there are all dark romances told very differently the series itself kind of centers around devil's night which i believe is the day before halloween and there's definitely a lot of like spookiness in all of these stories there's a lot of like old churches and the atmosphere and all of them is really fantastic i liked three out of the four books and i feel like this is a series that does redemption arcs really well and it's just like kind of a fun time if you again are into dirk romance so that's the reason that it's included here it's a good fall time series marathon and i feel like if i could re-read the series or like read the series for the first time it all being out you know what i mean at the same time because i think i started this when it was only the first book out if you could read it all at once in the fall i'm jealous of you so that is why i included it here and then lastly we have the ravenhood series by kate stewart this is a book series that i read last fall and i don't think i ever got to talk to you guys about it and how much i thoroughly enjoyed it so i figured it was time to talk about it here i said it in my goodreads review and i will say it again in this video this gives me all of the vibes of the song daddy issues by the neighborhood for not only like the tone but also like some of the lyrics i feel like this book reminds me of a rainy day i feel like it reminds me of fall just a little bit even though i want to say a lot of this book is set in the summertime it really gives me like moody angsty darkness sort of vibes not like spooky dark but like ugly great day vibes so this series is one that i feel like is sort of hard to encapsulate in any sort of summary but i'll do my best to do so it's about a girl named cecilia who ends up going and living with her dad after i don't even remember why she goes up the dead but she goes live with her dad and it's giving me very like twilight vibe she's going to this town she knows not very much about but unlike twilight her dad is not like a charlie swan type he's definitely a douchebag and she has to kind of like deal with her dad and her dad's like strict rules and also getting into like a little bit of trouble she ends up meeting some guys when she first moves i think pretty early on it's like three guys and she has connections with all three of them it sounds kind of reverse haramy in the setup it is not a reverse harem novel and it's just it's interesting there are a lot of like secrets to the guys relationship like their friendship and she wants to kind of understand more about them there's a lot of like secretiveness to this book and a lot a lot of angst if you're into angst you will love k stewart's writing i really enjoyed these books i read the first two back to back last year and then she came out with this third book that was supposed to be a novella and i haven't read that one yet i will say but the first two can be read just as a duet if if you feel so inclined they're just they're a fun time i enjoyed them i loved the honestly like polyamorous vibes to the story there's some sharing that happens but she does end up with one guy who i think is kind of unexpected and i don't know there's just so much heartbreak so much intrigue so much angst and i feel like if you are really in a emotional mood these are good books if you're looking for a book with a coherent plot that is going to answer all of the questions posed you might be a little bit upset because most of the first book has no plot what what is happening but it's fun and i liked it so i'm recommending it i know i kind of ran through these real quick but those are the six romance series that i think that you should marathon this fall winter season i'm honestly kind of jealous of anyone who gets to read these for the first time this fall and winter and i'm gonna be on the lookout for more series to pick up in marathon this december because i am kind of just free wilden for my vlogs this month and i'm excited to get to like pick up something new for the first time and just read it all back to back but thanks so much for watching i love y'all so much i have more channels content down in the description down below other recommendation videos other secret tbrs things like that i really appreciate if you would check out some of those videos but uh until tomorrow youhello welcome back to my channel and welcome to the seventh day of jamis is a dark romance series and if you're not prepared for that don't pick these up definitely recommend reading reviews and trigger warnings before picking up the books they all have different you know triggers and things like that because there are all dark romances told very differently the series itself kind of centers around devil's night which i believe is the day before halloween and there's definitely a lot of like spookiness in all of these stories there's a lot of like old churches and the atmosphere and all of them is really fantastic i liked three out of the four books and i feel like this is a series that does redemption arcs really well and it's just like kind of a fun time if you again are into dirk romance so that's the reason that it's included here it's a good fall time series marathon and i feel like if i could re-read the series or like read the series for the first time it all being out you know what i mean at the same time because i think i started this when it was only the first book out if you could read it all at once in the fall i'm jealous of you so that is why i included it here and then lastly we have the ravenhood series by kate stewart this is a book series that i read last fall and i don't think i ever got to talk to you guys about it and how much i thoroughly enjoyed it so i figured it was time to talk about it here i said it in my goodreads review and i will say it again in this video this gives me all of the vibes of the song daddy issues by the neighborhood for not only like the tone but also like some of the lyrics i feel like this book reminds me of a rainy day i feel like it reminds me of fall just a little bit even though i want to say a lot of this book is set in the summertime it really gives me like moody angsty darkness sort of vibes not like spooky dark but like ugly great day vibes so this series is one that i feel like is sort of hard to encapsulate in any sort of summary but i'll do my best to do so it's about a girl named cecilia who ends up going and living with her dad after i don't even remember why she goes up the dead but she goes live with her dad and it's giving me very like twilight vibe she's going to this town she knows not very much about but unlike twilight her dad is not like a charlie swan type he's definitely a douchebag and she has to kind of like deal with her dad and her dad's like strict rules and also getting into like a little bit of trouble she ends up meeting some guys when she first moves i think pretty early on it's like three guys and she has connections with all three of them it sounds kind of reverse haramy in the setup it is not a reverse harem novel and it's just it's interesting there are a lot of like secrets to the guys relationship like their friendship and she wants to kind of understand more about them there's a lot of like secretiveness to this book and a lot a lot of angst if you're into angst you will love k stewart's writing i really enjoyed these books i read the first two back to back last year and then she came out with this third book that was supposed to be a novella and i haven't read that one yet i will say but the first two can be read just as a duet if if you feel so inclined they're just they're a fun time i enjoyed them i loved the honestly like polyamorous vibes to the story there's some sharing that happens but she does end up with one guy who i think is kind of unexpected and i don't know there's just so much heartbreak so much intrigue so much angst and i feel like if you are really in a emotional mood these are good books if you're looking for a book with a coherent plot that is going to answer all of the questions posed you might be a little bit upset because most of the first book has no plot what what is happening but it's fun and i liked it so i'm recommending it i know i kind of ran through these real quick but those are the six romance series that i think that you should marathon this fall winter season i'm honestly kind of jealous of anyone who gets to read these for the first time this fall and winter and i'm gonna be on the lookout for more series to pick up in marathon this december because i am kind of just free wilden for my vlogs this month and i'm excited to get to like pick up something new for the first time and just read it all back to back but thanks so much for watching i love y'all so much i have more channels content down in the description down below other recommendation videos other secret tbrs things like that i really appreciate if you would check out some of those videos but uh until tomorrow you\n"
