The Excitement of Building a Car: An Update from the Workshop

This thing is it I don't want to say too much I don't know what's been said on the video I know I know too much no I'm really excited to see it happen and the car is going to be really really fast and really well put together so it'll be it'll be rad I mean that's that's it I mean the inside you can see is the wiring the ECU install y front PDM the rear PDM back here this there's not really much to the car right it's pretty simple as simple as we could get pretty close to starting honestly at this point yep once those power wires and a few other things that got to get pinned in it's fluids and fire up well do some burnouts yeah battery but yeah we'll be good yeah I is this the final fitt intake y I hate those rings are pain the ass yeah so I always forget you want me to there you go there you go there you go me be again they're so annoying I to do that like four times in mine that's it pretty good they kept falling off like I had to fix them four times we guy nice you know we kind of brought everything if we needed too A whole L I'm not even I I I promise you both look here hold on I try to tell you that man so if you need some other labels made Now's the Time oh I got home last night I put some in I was like no I'm tired I'm not going to mess with this I was trying to get he at Sixx yeah no we weren't playing we weren't playing around man so we got this filled up that's filled up Ro PR to okay perfect but we got the guys in town they're going to go over the harness and do some of the finish and touches um so first thing I'm doing right now is removing the Boost controller so they could Loom this up put a DT connector on here which will meet to their harness um they're going to go through some of the wiring on the car make sure everything's good uh then we run the power and ground wires wiring and then yeah think by the end of the day we should see this thing fire up and get somebody behind the keyboard and uh just do their magic oh yeah Power and ground it's all black he has heat shink that's red I sent you it swingers the the colors or boots yeah and if you can't tell by the red bulkhead thing unless you see in dog Vision right we don't have somebody's color blind I know so it will be all right so Tony got us hooked up with this r lock connectors they usually come on the higher end P PDM pmu and it just pushed to lock and that's your either power or ground whatever you want it to be and the pivots that's so cool and then on the other end it will lead to the starter and it's the same deal so a quick discon simple serviceability simp yep service and this we go to this JY here y okay we'll hit it with some hft and then we'll also keep it raised a bit okay join the two here here and then battery and that's it this is going to be like the easiest car to work on ever that's the goal RM that's the goal it takes longer to work out those details but once it's done it's like it's going to be so cool you could work on it oh thanks Johan hey you build your sura I'm proud thank you wow wow technically speaking we still have two full days left before our deadline currently though it's 2:40 a.m. and we have the most amazing team effort going on right now all hands are pretty much on Deck getting done whatever we can on the car just to get as ahead as we possibly can with schedule like it's nothing thing cut it cut it cut it cut it oil cyer too okay all right I was a little I was going to say it's look it's looking like a rotary you got me a little nervous there bud I know I looked over I was like oh crap kind of does look like there's a rotary up in here huh what a rip okay the guys are crushing it on the car it's coming together faster than ever I still got a lot of stuff to cover on the build we're probably going to dive into some of the more wiring ECU and obviously tuning in the next video that should be happening any hour now however I was way too excited to get this video up to announce the big news so you guys will have to catch that in the next one I hope you've enjoyed these updates videos on the car this thing's coming out absolutely insane and I'm really excited for ones to come

logo on my Fender but I am extremely excited to announce that tire streets is my new official Tire supplier cuz you guys know I got a lot of goals this year between drifting between rally stuff LZ World Tour and tire streets is the perfect fit for a number of reasons Tire streets has been supporting all different tiers of Grassroots drifting primarily with their exclusive accelera 651 and if you haven't heard of these tires yet it's an amazing value with consistent grip all the way down to the last chord and they're also going to be supporting the entire LZ World Tour this year by giving all of our competition drivers free acceler 651 tires to compete on not only is free tires in drifting absolutely unheard of it is going to make for the most sick battles because every single driver is going to be on the same tire and not only does that level the playing field it makes for some amazing battles that you guys are going to see in just two weeks in Bakersfield California at the first stop of the LZ World Tour there's a lot of exciting stuff going on behind the scenes some new tires some new compounds that I'm pretty stoked I get to play a role in helping develop but I know I need to address the elephant in the room and that is competition this car is no secret that we've been building it to send to Europe you guys aren't dumb you know that in Europe is drift Masters I went and I did around last year in Poland it was one of the coolest things I've ever done the community was awesome the level of driving was insanely high it was a goal of mine to be able to run a couple of drift Masters rounds this year but I'm excited to announce that with a large amount of support from Tire streets and all of my 2024 Partners I'm going to be driving in the entire season of drift Masters this year all across Europe one of my favorite things in life is traveling overseas getting to experience different cultures I love when I travel and I see the same passion for cars overseas but it's different builds different styles different cars now competition takes up a large part of my schedule so drift Masters is not only going to allow myself to push farther as a driver but also I'm going to be able to experience one of the coolest and most diverse scenes of drifting and much more now not only is this E36 getting s over to Europe but I am also excited to announce that I will be driving with my own team that's right the boys are getting back together we're going to Europe we've learned a lot as a team a lot as a business I've learned a lot as a driver and I'm excited to take all of that to the next level and go compete in drift Masters as always I will be taking you guys along for the ride and I could not be any more excited for what's to come now there is another big announcement something that relates to my competition schedule but you're going to have to wait a little while on that for now enjoy the latest update on this car we've got official less than 2 days left before this thing needs to be loaded in a container a lot of ground to cover and you guys are going to see it all come on five glass Bobby good morning Johan is it good morning it might be lunch time now yeah is it oh Dam it's lunch time but we doing the finishing touches on the car Jay knocked the Livery out all we had to do is get some of the decals on the car it looks really good the wipe like pops really hard so the bumper has the uh black like trim wrap on it as well so it it makes it look like really good and OEM I dig the red mirrors the red mirrors are sick yep you just remember that you just realized the color yep I just realized it was red white and blue theme yep so we just yeah getting stuff uh dial all the harness stuff is in the car there's a few plugs and um power wires that got to be done the guys are flying down and do the finishing touches on the harness yeah and then they could get to programming the pdms all that stuff for the fans tail lights lights and stuff like that pretty much what I've been doing is getting all the sensors that go to the chassis located so so the map sensor boost controller EGT box the uh y band controller is all in place all the bulk has have been drill and placed in in the locations engine harness rotted through here quick disconnect uh Auto Sport connectors on there mhm with this all this stuff here I'm pretty much ready to go uh just have this ground this help harness to go the injector so it makes it easy to remove the intake just unplug it from there yeah the last update the display wasn't on but we got the display on there the link ECU yep link ECU display I think it's the MX G7 mhm and it's mounted to the column it's too big for the dash so we had to mount it to the column which is is fine it's cuz we could adjust it the only downside from that is that if we had to remove the dash we have to unbolt it to you know come off oh we got the quarter glass or Windows install we just use this simple you know quick disconnect I don't even know what to call those clips yeah Fasteners fasteners for this side the other side will just get bolted on cuz the other side has the fuel fuel neck from radium with the quick um dryve brake system on there um just like the blue E36 oh got the whole rear end dial bumper tail light houseing are installed crash bar in the rear is installed it shows a nice accent between the silver and the black yeah tot hook the canisters for the two-ways the BC racing cool overs and then yeah just like ready to go yeah the harness is in the back too so this is the tail light harness all rout it rout it just sip tight this one up and ground it then the fine wiring is all running in there the radi on fuel neck with the glass install yeah that looks pretty good
