Will Apple Kill iTunes FOREVER with iOS 14

Hey Guys, I Get Myself Here: Welcome Back to the Channel

Welcome back to my channel, everyone! Today, I want to talk about iTunes and iOS 14, because I believe that will app is going to kill at the iTunes application for iOS with iPadOS 14. Now, when was the last time you actually used the iTunes app to make any music purchases, rent movies, or watch TV shows? When was the last time you actually use this app on your iPhone? That's why I wanted to get a conversation going and get your thoughts, because we've seen a trend too over the past several years. Apple removes or changes something on the Mac and then it changes of the year later for iOS and now iPadOS.

We saw 2018 bring dark mode to the Mac, 2019 brought dark mode to the iPhone, last year we saw Apple kill iTunes on the Mac, and I believe this year we'll see Apple kill iTunes for iOS. This makes a ton of sense, because Apple is going through wireless with streaming services, and that's what's going to be the future. Honestly, I haven't used the iTunes app to make any purchases or rentals in quite some time, so Apple could break this down very, very simple.

If we go to iTunes here, we see that we have the music purchases in rentals, which will also be the ringtones. This could be merged over to the Apple Music service as they did for the Mac and for Windows users, of course. Apple can do the exact same thing now. We also have inside of the iTunes app, the TV shows in movie rentals. Now, Apple has their Apple TV streaming service, which makes perfect sense to add this feature directly into the Apple TV streaming service. That way, we have everything in one place: movies and TV show rentals, and the streaming service in the Apple TV application.

The entire catalog is available, and we can also have all the music purchases that we've made in the past as well as future purchases for music inside of the music streaming service. This will avoid actually confusion, because most users do not understand how everything is working. And Apple hates fragmentation, right now iOS and Mac OS are sort of fragmented. We see iTunes on the iPhone but we don't see it on the Mac. It doesn't make sense to have iTunes any longer.

I for one do not use the iTunes application. I'd like to know your thoughts in the comments below. Do you use the iTunes app on your iPhone? Let me know down below. Thank you for watching this video, and I'll see you guys on the next one!
