I thought it was kind of weird that they actually made some Halo consoles and didn't put Halo on them. Could have been late runs, early runs, I'm not a hundred percent sure maybe the earlier ones had Halo as a special edition and then moving forward who knows maybe they just were easier to make, or there was other versions of it they just put one in a box that said Halo. Who knows.

What's interesting is the Xbox logo is actually black on this one with the chrome so that was something different from what I've seen before. That was something that would be very useful for me when I'm looking for that unit and of course, you have your green controller see-through with defects in a box.

Black and green logo which is a pretty common controller now but still sought-after. Now of course the Halo console we know Halo was the number one selling game of all time for this console and the number one selling console actually wasn't Halo it was Halo 2. I have the Steelbook and the Halo 2 original sealed day one copies I think I showed these in a video before.

I'm just ecstatic about them never ever opened them because of course I already have them over in the collection and you guys will be seeing that collection in near future. I did get a Halo an Xbox belt buckle it's so excited about that, I'm very excited about that.

The absolute pride and joy you see in front of the Doom sign is the Mountain Dew XBox this one is pristine I don't even think there's a mark on this and I hope the goodness there isn't there never used to be this. I think it was maybe one of 5000 I think it was like 5000 made I'm not sure if this was a giveaway I think it probably was.

I don't think this was a story unit could be wrong you can comment on that as well but I know this is a very rare item hard to get and I found this on Kijiji one time and the guy was asking $100 for it and I said are you sure you want $200 for that yeah yes fine so I get over there I was really hoping he had the original controller.

But he didn't and I'm not sure what controllers came with this I got to try and find pictures and descriptions for that but this unit I went to oh he was a young guy and I said look you know it's worth more he goes no man it's cool I was asking 100 bucks we didn't barter that's cool.

Here's a few extra things with it and I'm like wow so he didn't know he was making my day because this was the holy grail of my Xbox consoles I'm so happy and so lucky to have that in my collection especially in the condition of the same now guys.

This is just a quick overview of some of trying to get through some of the game room for you guys showing you some little sections here and there I don't know how to do a full-on game room without breaking it down a little so I wanted to show my Xbox original console collection because it is something true to my heart.

I love the Xbox almost as much as I love Sega. So if I had to get rid of everything in my room I would keep anything Sega and I would keep everything Xbox that's how dear it is to me. buying this crystal xbox the crystal Xbox is probably the most common of the special editions if I had to say that there was a special edition you can find pretty much commonly would be the crystal there was the see-through green see-through blue the halo green and then it was like limited editions of course we had our black one limited edition such as like the Mountain Dew there was a bunch of different giveaway ones it was pretty pretty out there there was some really custom stuff out there I mean the system came out in 2001 and would be considered part of the 6th generation console more now funny because this was Microsoft's basically first console but it is considered a 6th console and had a lifespan till about 2006 I believe was when it actually was actually cancelled to move on to the Xbox 360 but still went on to live another three years so an O nine basically was the last of this original og Xbox being sold so there's a crystal I actually do have a crystal I just bought this one because well when to come by and the price is good you take it so I'm gonna go and show you my xbox collection but before I do that I want to talk to you as why the Xbox was so important to me now everybody knows being a big Sega fan when the Dreamcast was basically going to be in its demise well the Xbox was the other solution as Sega and Microsoft were pretty tightly in bed together and most would argue including myself that that is a Dreamcast by any means but it actually is a PC this is a 733 gigahertz I think it had 64 megabytes of RAM and I believe it 8 gigabyte hard drive a hundred megabit network card so this machine as much as I would like to say was ahead of its time Sega had already done this breakdown to the controller when you look at the original Microsoft controller and that might be one of the reasons why to this day it's my favorite controller it really came off the Dreamcast controller in fact the originally there was actually an open slot here with some leaked footage and a VM you went down in it hmm very weird but they took that out to try and sway away from it and went with this controller design so of course the console didn't become the king they couldn't quite be thrown Sony on this time around but of course with the Xbox 360 we have a completely different story and then the story just keeps on going this unit sold about 24 million units by 2006 so wasn't a flop by any means it definitely was a step in the right direction and they were gonna move forward so for me I wanted to play my Sega titles and because they had such exclusivity to like the Panzer Dragoon and stuff like that and Crazy Taxi you know moving forward and I had to have an Xbox now of course they weren't also the biggest games for me as there was a lot of games that brought me through on the Xbox that you know conflict Desert Storm for example is probably my one of my most played games period where we even burnt out my brother-in-law's original xbox and I had to start playing on my new one thinking I'm gonna burn mine out but I still have my original black unit so that's pretty cool so anyway that is why I went from the Dreamcast to the Xbox because the Xbox to me was the Dreamcast it was me moving forward Sega was not going to give me another console as much as we dream we wish and we hope maybe in a few more years who knows Sega's still developing stuff so we kind of just sit there and wait so hopefully one day but right now the Xbox is king for me in the modern console so let's take a look at what I have in consoles I'm not gonna show the black one everybody has a black one mine's back in its box and put up away and I got a couple more I think boxed ones but they're all black ones that I have box I don't actually have boxes for any of the special editions as much as I would love to see that I don't have it ok guys so here we are in the game room I'm gonna open this up and I'm gonna show you my personal what I love collecting when it comes to the original Xbox and why I love this so much so there was a lot of cool things that came out for this of course we'll start with the crystal so guys here's the crystal the crystal some we'll call it the skeleton but the crystal basically is just your silver see-through unit and they came with a silver Xbox logo if there's one that thisis green or anything on well chances are someone put a shell on it and you're getting duped so remember that it's got to be a gray centerpiece here and just the same two controllers some people took shells put them on and put their green Xbox logos back on them and that's cool and all but if you're looking for an original you want the original so there is the crystal of course I guess I'll show the controllers as I go along as you can see here you have the silver controller Center that makes it an original one at least you hope to the best of your knowledge and these were pretty tough controllers I really like these these were very durable I've never really killed one myself killed consoles but I never killed a controller these units did play DVDs but in order to play the DVD you had to have the DVD remote kit so I just wanted to show that it's this little sensor plugs into your controller port and then you have your controller to play pause rewind fast-forward whatever and that was needed if you didn't have this apparently it did play DVDs unless it's modded one of my pride and joys of course was I called the Bell Canada blue but here's the blue skeleton horse or see-through Xbox and this is such a beautiful console this actually was my hardest one to find getting a little dusty but this was my hardest one to find because they're so expensive I mean this unit now I think is anywhere from three to four to five hundred dollars depending on the condition and it's mint and again with this type of unit the Xbox logo is silver now here's what's weird about this system and so far I have not found one with a silver centerpiece and this one here like I was talking about before has the black and green Xbox logo I personally have not seen one yet I do have a bunch of them and all of them seem to be the black logo if you seem different and you know that there's different let me know maybe this was purchased separately as someone upgrading their unit who knows maybe the one that came with the console did have a silver
