Rosewill Legacy W1 Mini-ITX HTPC Case Hands-On, Fits Titan Z

Hello everyone, it's Steve from Gamers Nexus.net and we are here at PAX East 2014, which is day two, I think. It's been quite a long day, but we're excited to be here at Rose's secret room, where they're showing off their latest case, the Legacy W1.

We're currently looking at this mini ITX form factor case, which can be found on the sidebar with some of our recent reviews of other Mini ITX cases. As you can see, it's a trend that's been going on after CES, and Rose is definitely joining in on the fun. This case has full room for basically any air cooler that you would want for a mini ITX system, thanks to its horizontal design.

The video card goes here, and as you can see, we have two expansion slots, which will fit up to a Titan Z. Now, I know what you're thinking - if you've got $33,000 for a Titan Z, is it really worth using one? Well, let me tell you, this case has been designed with the enthusiast in mind, and it's definitely possible to fit anything you could care about into this system. Just keep in mind that you might need to get creative with your cable management.

One of the standout features of this case is its cooling system, which comes stock with two 140mm fans - one in the front, one in the back, and one in the top. But that's not all - it also allows you to mount liquid cooling radiators, so you can go for a 240 or 280 setup if you want. This case has four 3.5-inch hard drive slots, as well as a slim optical drive slot and two 2.5-inch slots for SSDs.

In terms of the power supply, we're looking at the Hercules power supply that Rosewell has designed, which fits into this compartmentalized power supply slot. It's pretty impressive, and it shows just how much thought has gone into designing a case like this. The point is, if you need a lot of power to run your system, this case can accommodate it. We also have a standard dust filter in the bottom for the PSU, as well as a non-removable dust filter in the top that's not too bad.

The exterior of this case is made of aluminum, which looks great, but I had a question about how the steel frame would affect it. But don't worry - Rose has thought of that, and they've added padding to protect the aluminum from the steel frame. They've also added plastic mounts for the actual mounting joists, so everything looks pretty good.

We'll be getting back to you on full reviews if we end up doing one, so be sure to check out the link in the description below for all the details. And that's it for today - thanks for watching, and I'll see you all next time at PAX East 2014!
