The Aggravating Reality of Modern Vehicle Maintenance

When it comes to maintaining our vehicles, many of us have come to expect certain levels of quality and reliability from the manufacturers. However, one individual has had enough of the frustration and exasperation that comes with dealing with poorly designed or constructed vehicles.

"I've been doing this since I was 16," says the individual, who has spent years working on cars and experiencing firsthand the issues that arise when vehicles are not built to last. "I've never seen cars this Rusty in my entire life." The speaker's emphasis on the rustiness of modern vehicles highlights a deeper issue: the prioritization of quantity over quality.

"It's all about quantity over quality," the individual notes. "Basic stuff as in what like, what doesn't work starting the car stopping the car putting gas in the car... I mean you can't get any more basic than that." The speaker's frustration is evident when discussing the various components of a vehicle that are prone to failure, such as brake lines, bolts, and ball joints. These basic components are designed to fail frequently, making it seem like they're built to last.

One of the most aggravating aspects of modern vehicle maintenance is the use of high-tech fuel fillers with funnels attached to the back of the gas pump. This seemingly simple design element has proven to be a source of frustration for many mechanics and owners alike. The individual's experience is not unique, however. Many have reported similar issues with brake lines going bad, bolts breaking off, and ball joints snapping.

The cost of these repairs can be staggering, particularly when it comes to replacing complex components like catalytic converters and alternators. In one instance, the speaker was quoted $3,500 for a repair that should have been much simpler and less expensive. This kind of disparity highlights the issue of overcharging and under-delivery that plagues many industries.

But the problem goes beyond just individual repairs. The rustiness of modern vehicles is also a sign of a broader issue with the quality of materials and construction methods used in the automotive industry. When vehicles are not built to last, it puts unnecessary stress on owners and mechanics alike. As one mechanic put it, "You try working on some of this junk... it just complicates things more than they already are."

The speaker's frustration is compounded by the lack of common sense or consideration for the driver's experience. When drivers drive recklessly or fail to follow basic safety protocols, they create unnecessary problems for themselves and others. The individual notes that they've seen cases where a single misfiring engine can cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

In conclusion, the speaker's experiences highlight the need for greater emphasis on quality and reliability in the automotive industry. When vehicles are designed and built with a focus on quantity over quality, it leads to a host of problems that are not only frustrating but also costly. As one individual so eloquently puts it, "You're an idiot for driving it misfiring so bad that you cause all this damage."

engines that blow up at 40,000 miles for no apparent reason rust Falling In Your Eyes two weeks in a row having to get it drilled out because someone's too lazy to wear safety glasses ah don't like well people will say can you do this on my car it'd be real quick if it's real quick do it yourself or why are you charging so much it's it's real simple to do no it's not you try working on some of this junk it just complicates things more than they already are they can't even make basic stuff work it's all about quantity over quality so basic stuff as in what like what doesn't work starting the car stopping the car putting gas in the car I mean you can't get any more basic than that I mean look at the forward they have to put a funnel in the back in case the gas pump can't go in here high-tech fuel filler I mean it's just Ridiculousness so what other brake lines going bad bolts breaking off 2005 Accord Honda bolts never break off simple ball joint bolt snapped two hour or 20-minute job turns into 2-hour project it's I don't know it's not just the cars it's whatever they're putting on the roads here too I well I've been doing this since I was 16 so I've been doing it for about 3 years now however long is been and I've never seen cars this Rusty in my entire life I mean that's the most aggravating part when you go and try to take the simplest stuff part and you can't get it apart or breaks and okay then you you raise the car up do a simple oil change and just because the car flex a little bit there goes a brake line for instance a pile like this what almost 300,000 mil on it they they keep wanting to do stuff to it you can't even raise it up it takes a half hour just to get it on the rack to do a simple oil change I mean and then you do raise it up and shit's just falling in your face so we see the piles you know the stuff that the I don't want to whatever but I'll say it the stuff the dealer guys get so they have they have a fit doing some of the stuff they have to do under warranty try doing it it's all rustled out when we have to do it oh I'm going to break a nail I need two more hours of labor but do you have an idiot who drives a car misfiring for 500 miles or whatever it is it it clogs the cat the cat's clog so bad it blows the EGR valve out so now you got to fix the guy's car you can't even run it to diagnose it and it's like well okay now it's four or five hours of Labor to do a freaking catalytic converter it's buried in the back I mean all this other then you take it out and the freaking alternator's crack now all the guys bills $3,500 but you said it was going to be $2,000 it's like you're a idiot for driving it misfiring so bad that you cause all this damageoh is that so yes they should come work on cars every
