I was really impressed but because they are so different to all the other fans that you can pretty much get on the market today there's actually quite a lot to go through and I had to cut loads of stuff out of that video so I thought today we're actually going to have a look at RGB fans I'll be talking you through some of my favorites but most importantly talking about why these I think probably are the best on the market when it comes to All Around RGB fans they're not perfect but they do so many things differently I really think you need to know about them so stay tuned for with a link down below let's start with the basics then what exactly are these and why should you care well essentially if you look at more standard fans so we've got these brand new ones actually from bite as well light Wings LX they come with a pretty annoying problem I mean two found actually because whilst these should be very high performance and very good-looking fans they don't daisy chain together so you can't connect them so you always have to plug all of the cables in for each fan and in the case of these you have addressable RGB for the RGB and then you have this four pin pwm fan header for the fan speed and to control everything so if you're going to have like eight or nine fans in your system well that's potentially 18 cables plus maybe Splitters adapters junction boxes to control it all and it just becomes quite literally a right mess to the point where you're paying a load of money and it's a faf and you probably can't get it to look as perfect as you want so what's the point that's exactly where Le and Lee comes in because on the contrary you have something like this which are the leanly uni fans and they've been steadily improving these over the last three maybe four years at this stage you've got a few different variants but the way that they work is essentially the same and that being that they actually interconnect together and then they not only make it easier to install a lot cleaner but obviously you can just have like one fan cable that does both your fan speed and your RGB lighting all of your power control all of that stuff should be fairly easy to actually get these to interlock together and then they literally just push into place and there's a whole bunch of different systems out there they're all fairly similar and then you just have one little cable here but you can see it's relatively thick but this will just go from One Bank of your fans to the back of your system and then somewhere in this little box still got loads of cables and that bits key but somewhere inside you will find the controller and this uh actually supports four different banks of fans and you only need to plug in four things rather than the eight things that you would need if you're going to do it individually or suppose if you're going to go down the addressable RGB route that would be two cables for each so obviously that would be 16 cables and You' need to have loads of headers and things on your motherboard so it would get very complicated but as you can see all of these cables that you get inside the box it's still quite a lot it's better and it's fairly simple to plug in but it's still a lot of cables and I do appreciate that at this stage all I've actually done is to show you some old fans but it's really important for you to have that context of all of the cables and how it works in order to understand why actually I think this is a really great solution and while it is not the cheapest thing out there I do think that actually compared to something like corsair's QX fans it's actually pretty reasonable but let's jump in and actually show you so this is an empty box is they're actually in there but this is the LCD version that obviously are slightly more expensive and these have a LCD in the middle of the fan and these are really useful especially if you want to use like an air cooler or just something like this where you don't have the LCD on the pump head itself is a great way to have it somewhere else in your system and maybe you like Leon Le's lconnect software you want to show like your temperatures or speeds or something like that but you've got the LCD version or you've got the more traditional version which are these SL Wireless non-rgb but inside the box it's relatively similar to the one that we've just seen the SL infinite in the way that they actually work and this is the thing that I'm not such a fan of how many times is that joke going to get old in this video because the LGB lighting I think it's nice but I like to have like a translucent fan that kind of reflects everything and I'm almost certain that LE and Lee will be bringing out other fans in this range probably an SL infinite and AL Wireless in the not too distant future that will do this but for now you're going to have to make do with this which is obviously a decent fan but it does mean that you don't get the full lighting that you might have wanted from going for something more premium depends some people are upgrading because they want to have the best fans possible other people to have great fans but then obviously for it to look really good as well but I don't think the design on this is that interesting personally speaking and but they are very bright I've actually had to turn it down in all my filming to 25% brightness that's how bright these actually are but otherwise they look very similar to all of the other fans really in the lonly range you have these little pins on the back and obviously they do interconnect in pretty much the same way as before now it's worth noting as well that you can buy reverse blade fans I don't really see the point to be honest in buying the reverse blades unless you're buying the LCD because the reverse blades actually have slightly reduced air flow and they're slightly louder one of the big things actually that you can do versus the TL's is you can actually interconnect them together with the LCDs and then the non- LCD which is great and you can actually have either four non- LCDs in a single block or you can do a total of four fans but you can only use three LC CDs within that block so if you wanted to do three LCD and then like one normal one then you can do that but if we actually crack one of these open so you can see what it is all about inside the box it's actually pretty straightforward so you just get your single fan with the LCD in the middle obviously it is a slightly smaller amount of fan here because you have that LCD in the middle not drastically different but obviously this is going to affect performance so do be aware of this if you're going to put it on a radiator or something like that but these can interconnect together hopefully very straightforward yep just like that is definitely easier than the old versions but the big difference this time is that they are Wireless now obviously you still need to provide Power to these fans so they're never going to be truly Wireless the wireless actually refers to the control cuz in the back of your system you will have one of these it is a USB receiver now technically speaking you don't have to have this in the back if you did want to still do it all internally you can actually plug this into a USB 2.0 header and then you can plug this into a fan header as well and this is the way that if you want to use one of your motherboard fan speeds is a relay so maybe you're connecting it to a CPU Cooler and you want to make sure that the motherboard is actually controlling the fan speed then you can do that but for most people you're probably just going to wet this in the back and then in the software you literally just click the sync button and it automatically detects everything that you've plugged in and you don't need to do anything else other than obviously choose a color choose what you want on your fans and it's very very easy to set up I mean actually let's do this properly let's get all of this connected so you can see a proper like for like cuz to be fair you don't have to use those with the block that we have here but this is exactly the difference right so it kind of eliminates this bit of the equation really and this one receiver is going to do everything you can fit a lot of fans all synced with this the main downside at the time of filming though is that you can't buy an all-in-one liquid caller that actually uses this Tech so if you are going to buy one you have to do something like we've done here where we got this deep Co one cuz it was very basic and then we swapped out the fans and we tried to sync everything together now the only other thing I think you need to note really is that obviously the USB is only required for the LCD versions but then this doesn't necessarily do what you think because this will do your power to the block for both RGB and for fan speed but all of that is controlled within the circuitry of the fan itself and then it receives the signal via the wireless receiver so that's how it actually knows what to display so what you can't do is plug this into a motherboard header and then I don't know send it a pump speed or fan speed sorry of 800 RPM and then expect your fan to do that that doesn't work if you want to go down that route then you'd have to syn them all with this little receiver and you plug it into the fan header on the motherboard and you do it all internally now that's going to be fine but if you want to have all of your fans at different sorts of speeds and all controlled by the motherboard then that is a limitation that's just not going to work and unless I'm going mad that doesn't seem to be a way at the moment to sync it to like a dress for RGB or other devices but I assume this is something they could do within the software itself if they could link it together then that obviously would work but it is kind of still early doors at the moment for this but as an e EOS system I like it it's very easy to plug in only other thing to note is that while that you can actually plug this little fan header into the motherboard itself and that will provide the power make sure it is running at full speed CU if it's not your fans won't work properly and they will be like flashing white which was really annoying and once i' actually updated the BIOS in this board and got windows installed when I restarted the PC it wasn't doing it but for the first few times when I was actually getting everything set up every time I was actually turning on the PC the fans would flash white so the alternative is that they do actually give you a SATA connection inside the box so you have one SATA into your different fans and then obviously this will power them but again that doesn't make them run full speed it's just about providing them with the power that they need in order to be able to run all of the RGB and all of the fans at full speed if he wanted to but it's all controlled with our little wireless receiver but as eaglee viewers may have noticed L Le actually also provided us with some of these and I'll be honest is not really my sort of bag baby because these are very over the top but these are the sters or is it sters no they cut grass and these are some RGB power cables that if you like overthe toop RGB I think you are going to like but at the moment these are the only other accessory that will actually work with this ecosystem but obviously because these are Wireless well I guess all you need to do is plug them in surely they won't need power cuz they are a power cable so let's open this up and then have a look inside so we've got some cable tidy things a mini screw screwdriver in a bag now that is a waste of resources and then obviously our power cable itself this one is actually for your RTX graphics card look cuz this is your 12 or 16 pin High volt power connection it's the same either side this isn't going to be one of those ones that connects to like three or four PCI and then converts it this is just a standard one essentially and then we also have our ster Wireless 24 pin as well and I'm hoping this is a little bit more flexible than the first gen there was a second gen product but I must admit I don't think I actually used that in the end cuz as I say it's not really my sort of bag baby oh actually I see that's what those are for if you have a white rig you can actually swap out the ends so that you don't have the black bits on it that does actually make a fair bit more sense and it does look like you can actually swap it around as well so if we wanted it to work we could have it facing up but I think that would look rubbish so we're not going to use that that's the downside of going for a Le and Lee Vision compact where you just don't have that much room down at the bottom but we can get this equipped and again this one is completely wireless because it itself is a wire well that plugs in nice and easily then it feeds around the back if you twist it around the backl most of it is here and then we get that back into position probably should grab a monitor here's one I made earlier do you actually say that in the US cuz I realized that joke might not work so every single cooking show we have in the UK they always show you how to make a dish and then they put it in the oven and then conveniently here's one I made earlier do you do that let us know in the comments below I think this is going to be bright yep there it is so the default is actually white for these and then as soon as you sync them together in the software that's when they kind of well sync up and you can obviously control everything and the software didn't used to be the best but over time I definitely think it's improved I think corset IQ if I'm honest is still the best allrounder in terms of being able to do everything and working fairly stably but that's definitely not perfect either but the issue is that if you buy products that are kind of new and they only have like a little bit of software support there are often so many bugs or just so many limited features that it's not really worth using but L connect so far has been pretty decent even though it is a beta version and as you can see it does come up by default obviously you can turn this off if you don't want this Behavior like start minimize something like that but it has been improved quite recently it's almost a little bit more IQ in the way it kind of shows you a lot of stuff in the dashboard with this system info but actually connecting everything together is very straightforward you just come down here where it says L Wireless sync setup and then it's automatically detected this strer it's not paired we just click this little button and then as you can see it's now in syn how much easier could you get in my opinion not much at all right especially with a power cable it's got power so we literally just plugged that in and it worked now lconnect 3 traditionally we've noticed I don't want to say it's a CPU hog but it definitely does use a little bit of resource so if you running like a four core CPU or something like that probably going to be a better idea to upgrade your CPU rather than getting a load of fancy fans it shouldn't make too much difference especially on Modern CPUs but something is you know it's worth noting if you have an older CPU it could as to say potentially affect some of your frame rate if you are very CPU limited as it is but otherwise it's very easy to use actually you've got your system specifications you've got your resources here uh you can set up your profiles and things here is where you have that motherboard RPM sync but again remember you will actually have to connect this to the controller not the fans into the motherboard that isn't how you get the control you have to go via the USB controller you can set up a custom curve as I have here or you can use their default presets and save a few different custom profiles as well quick sync lighting this is again similar to what Corsair do where at like one button you can just make everything white or everything yellow or something like that so at the moment we've got this set of rainbow but if we wanted to make this meteor as soon as you hit apply everything syns up pretty quick not quite as quick as if it was all over USB but I mean yeah it's quick enough it's not a problem and actually having that strier does help to kind of like bring it all in tie it all together I'm a bit disappointed we couldn't really use the one on the graphics card at the bottom but hey ho it's not the end of the world so this is the meteor effect if you want to go for Runway I mean personally I don't want a flashing PC next to me I want it to slowly breathe and not be distracting but if you want it as a centerpiece then obviously that's a great thing to have rainbow morph oh that's a bug is that a bug yes look there you are the ster hasn't actually syned static color well it's accepted that maybe it just doesn't like rainbow morph at the moment okay the strer does not like rainbow morph if you did want to control either the fans or the shrier a bit more individually then you have these two different sections and you have loads more different effects shuttle run what's that okay so it goes up and down the cables so definitely a lot of effects to play around with we're not going to show you every single one but then when it comes into the fans I like the way that you literally just highlight what it is that you want to customize so if you want to change the screen you hit the screen or the lighting you hit obviously the RGB lighting rainbow morph is what we've got it here but again quite a few different effects and things you've got shuttle run again on this one I don't know why you couldn't syn that together there we are that's actually pretty nice that works quite well but do you see what I mean about the ram if you were able to sync it with a dress RGB on the pump the motherboard and then the ram I think this would really complete the look whereas at the moment you are definitely a little bit limited so if you're going to go for like a rainbow effect fine but be aware there's no cooler at the moment there's no other real control if you want to sync everything together but of course the star of the show really for these fans are going to be the LCDs if you're going to go down that route and yes you can absolutely rotate things if you want to put them in a different position so you can see the one at the top is moving around as we do that and it should remember the orientation when you refresh it cuz it's kind of Saved internally within the fan but this is I think one of the areas where they were having a few bugs so the behavior of the fan when it's not actually uh hooked up to the receiver it's also not going to be able to get the temperatures of your system in the Bios and things CU it relies on the USB connection with the software so it's only once you're in Windows that these things are going to work properly anyway but you got a few different effects and things you can do so you can select pictures gifts videos sensor animation so we're going to sync to all we can have rockets taking off by default personally speaking I would probably always go with the sensor information CU I think that's actually the most useful thing to have but I should note that I'm not 100% sure what's missing because this is an ultral line system it doesn't fully support it at the moment I think that's more on the Intel side of things rather than Le and Lee but at the moment we only have CPU and GPU Temp and loads whereas I would want things like your clock speeds and I'd want to be able to do some logging so maybe it says like Max temperatures and things there's a lot more they could put inside this that would actually make it a lot more useful whereas these Temps at the moment are a little bit basic but you do at least get some lighting around the outside to keep you occupied while you're looking at those as well let's quickly grab some gifs or is it gifs and then you hit add in the software and then you find your GIF so we select gify 2 and then they all show up down the bottom here and yes the theme was very much Austin Powers if you haven't worked that out only thing to note is that it doesn't resize the gifts so if you have like a rectangular image it's going to squash it so actually if we get um Mr fat on the top if you haven't watched Austin Powers you're going to be like what I swearing what what anyway you can see that our very rectangular GIF has been like squashed down so you wouldn't be able to use that but obviously just use some basic image Ting software and you'll be able to fix that no biggie but is something to note so the whole ecosystem honestly works really well I've not had any serious issues that would stop me from using this stopping me from recommending this and the whole build process is so much easier than everything else on the market whatever Le and Lee have done here it works fantastically well it is the best of the best the issue obviously comes down to the fact that if you don't like the style of these fans or you want to have a matching LCD cooler or well just cooler in general really then at the moment your options very limited so this is this doesn't have to be a day one purchase but if you need new fans and you like these they definitely do come recommended but I do want to quit do want to do a quick audio test for you grab our side panel we'll just latch that into position and then we will fire up cinch and I will also say one of the other things I do like about the software is that you can customize what the fans are associated with when it comes to temperatures so the ones down the bottom you'd want those to be down to the GPU temps and then obviously the ones that attach to the cooler or near the CPU cooling you'd want those on the CPU cooling it's nice that you can do that but if they could add functionality where again it could either sink up to the motherboard or you could actually plug in like some water cooling sensors into it somehow so it could go off fluid temperature that would be really useful as well let's fire up our C bench again this is an 9 285k so it uses a lot of power but not as much as a 14900 K what was that there was a funny noise there and I didn't like the sound of that I think it was just the glass slipping so they definitely can get I don't want to say loud but they can get audible but bear in mind we're running the CPU at 100% there it is 100% CPU load 234 watts and our CPU is at 81° that's not too shabby at all right there's definitely a lot of potential in these fans regardless of whether you want to use the pr athetics performance or probably what you're going to do and mixture of both but the question very much goes out to you guys on this what do you make of these new fans have they done enough for you to buy them and do you think that the asking price is reasonable personally speaking for a three becomes quite literally a right mess to the point where you're paying a load of money and it's a faf and you probably can't get it to look as perfect as you want so what's the point that's exactly where Le and Lee comes in because on the contrary you have something like this which are the leanly uni fans and they've been steadily improving these over the last three maybe four years at this stage you've got a few different variants but the way that they work is essentially the same and that being that they actually interconnect together and then they not only make it easier to install a lot cleaner but obviously you can just have like one fan cable that does both your fan speed and your RGB lighting all of your power control all of that stuff should be fairly easy to actually get these to interlock together and then they literally just push into place and there's a whole bunch of different systems out there they're all fairly similar and then you just have one little cable here but you can see it's relatively thick but this will just go from One Bank of your fans to the back of your system and then somewhere in this little box still got loads of cables and that bits key but somewhere inside you will find the controller and this uh actually supports four different banks of fans and you only need to plug in four things rather than the eight things that you would need if you're going to do it individually or suppose if you're going to go down the addressable RGB route that would be two cables for each so obviously that would be 16 cables and You' need to have loads of headers and things on your motherboard so it would get very complicated but as you can see all of these cables that you get inside the box it's still quite a lot it's better and it's fairly simple to plug in but it's still a lot of cables and I do appreciate that at this stage all I've actually done is to show you some old fans but it's really important for you to have that context of all of the cables and how it works in order to understand why actually I think this is a really great solution and while it is not the cheapest thing out there I do think that actually compared to something like corsair's QX fans it's actually pretty reasonable but let's jump in and actually show you so this is an empty box is they're actually in there but this is the LCD version that obviously are slightly more expensive and these have a LCD in the middle of the fan and these are really useful especially if you want to use like an air cooler or just something like this where you don't have the LCD on the pump head itself is a great way to have it somewhere else in your system and maybe you like Leon Le's lconnect software you want to show like your temperatures or speeds or something like that but you've got the LCD version or you've got the more traditional version which are these SL Wireless non-rgb but inside the box it's relatively similar to the one that we've just seen the SL infinite in the way that they actually work and this is the thing that I'm not such a fan of how many times is that joke going to get old in this video because the LGB lighting I think it's nice but I like to have like a translucent fan that kind of reflects everything and I'm almost certain that LE and Lee will be bringing out other fans in this range probably an SL infinite and AL Wireless in the not too distant future that will do this but for now you're going to have to make do with this which is obviously a decent fan but it does mean that you don't get the full lighting that you might have wanted from going for something more premium depends some people are upgrading because they want to have the best fans possible other people to have great fans but then obviously for it to look really good as well but I don't think the design on this is that interesting personally speaking and but they are very bright I've actually had to turn it down in all my filming to 25% brightness that's how bright these actually are but otherwise they look very similar to all of the other fans really in the lonly range you have these little pins on the back and obviously they do interconnect in pretty much the same way as before now it's worth noting as well that you can buy reverse blade fans I don't really see the point to be honest in buying the reverse blades unless you're buying the LCD because the reverse blades actually have slightly reduced air flow and they're slightly louder one of the big things actually that you can do versus the TL's is you can actually interconnect them together with the LCDs and then the non- LCD which is great and you can actually have either four non- LCDs in a single block or you can do a total of four fans but you can only use three LC CDs within that block so if you wanted to do three LCD and then like one normal one then you can do that but if we actually crack one of these open so you can see what it is all about inside the box it's actually pretty straightforward so you just get your single fan with the LCD in the middle obviously it is a slightly smaller amount of fan here because you have that LCD in the middle not drastically different but obviously this is going to affect performance so do be aware of this if you're going to put it on a radiator or something like that but these can interconnect together hopefully very straightforward yep just like that is definitely easier than the old versions but the big difference this time is that they are Wireless now obviously you still need to provide Power to these fans so they're never going to be truly Wireless the wireless actually refers to the control cuz in the back of your system you will have one of these it is a USB receiver now technically speaking you don't have to have this in the back if you did want to still do it all internally you can actually plug this into a USB 2.0 header and then you can plug this into a fan header as well and this is the way that if you want to use one of your motherboard fan speeds is a relay so maybe you're connecting it to a CPU Cooler and you want to make sure that the motherboard is actually controlling the fan speed then you can do that but for most people you're probably just going to wet this in the back and then in the software you literally just click the sync button and it automatically detects everything that you've plugged in and you don't need to do anything else other than obviously choose a color choose what you want on your fans and it's very very easy to set up I mean actually let's do this properly let's get all of this connected so you can see a proper like for like cuz to be fair you don't have to use those with the block that we have here but this is exactly the difference right so it kind of eliminates this bit of the equation really and this one receiver is going to do everything you can fit a lot of fans all synced with this the main downside at the time of filming though is that you can't buy an all-in-one liquid caller that actually uses this Tech so if you are going to buy one you have to do something like we've done here where we got this deep Co one cuz it was very basic and then we swapped out the fans and we tried to sync everything together now the only other thing I think you need to note really is that obviously the USB is only required for the LCD versions but then this doesn't necessarily do what you think because this will do your power to the block for both RGB and for fan speed but all of that is controlled within the circuitry of the fan itself and then it receives the signal via the wireless receiver so that's how it actually knows what to display so what you can't do is plug this into a motherboard header and then I don't know send it a pump speed or fan speed sorry of 800 RPM and then expect your fan to do that that doesn't work if you want to go down that route then you'd have to syn them all with this little receiver and you plug it into the fan header on the motherboard and you do it all internally now that's going to be fine but if you want to have all of your fans at different sorts of speeds and all controlled by the motherboard then that is a limitation that's just not going to work and unless I'm going mad that doesn't seem to be a way at the moment to sync it to like a dress for RGB or other devices but I assume this is something they could do within the software itself if they could link it together then that obviously would work but it is kind of still early doors at the moment for this but as an e EOS system I like it it's very easy to plug in only other thing to note is that while that you can actually plug this little fan header into the motherboard itself and that will provide the power make sure it is running at full speed CU if it's not your fans won't work properly and they will be like flashing white which was really annoying and once i' actually updated the BIOS in this board and got windows installed when I restarted the PC it wasn't doing it but for the first few times when I was actually getting everything set up every time I was actually turning on the PC the fans would flash white so the alternative is that they do actually give you a SATA connection inside the box so you have one SATA into your different fans and then obviously this will power them but again that doesn't make them run full speed it's just about providing them with the power that they need in order to be able to run all of the RGB and all of the fans at full speed if he wanted to but it's all controlled with our little wireless receiver but as eaglee viewers may have noticed L Le actually also provided us with some of these and I'll be honest is not really my sort of bag baby because these are very over the top but these are the sters or is it sters no they cut grass and these are some RGB power cables that if you like overthe toop RGB I think you are going to like but at the moment these are the only other accessory that will actually work with this ecosystem but obviously because these are Wireless well I guess all you need to do is plug them in surely they won't need power cuz they are a power cable so let's open this up and then have a look inside so we've got some cable tidy things a mini screw screwdriver in a bag now that is a waste of resources and then obviously our power cable itself this one is actually for your RTX graphics card look cuz this is your 12 or 16 pin High volt power connection it's the same either side this isn't going to be one of those ones that connects to like three or four PCI and then converts it this is just a standard one essentially and then we also have our ster Wireless 24 pin as well and I'm hoping this is a little bit more flexible than the first gen there was a second gen product but I must admit I don't think I actually used that in the end cuz as I say it's not really my sort of bag baby oh actually I see that's what those are for if you have a white rig you can actually swap out the ends so that you don't have the black bits on it that does actually make a fair bit more sense and it does look like you can actually swap it around as well so if we wanted it to work we could have it facing up but I think that would look rubbish so we're not going to use that that's the downside of going for a Le and Lee Vision compact where you just don't have that much room down at the bottom but we can get this equipped and again this one is completely wireless because it itself is a wire well that plugs in nice and easily then it feeds around the back if you twist it around the backl most of it is here and then we get that back into position probably should grab a monitor here's one I made earlier do you actually say that in the US cuz I realized that joke might not work so every single cooking show we have in the UK they always show you how to make a dish and then they put it in the oven and then conveniently here's one I made earlier do you do that let us know in the comments below I think this is going to be bright yep there it is so the default is actually white for these and then as soon as you sync them together in the software that's when they kind of well sync up and you can obviously control everything and the software didn't used to be the best but over time I definitely think it's improved I think corset IQ if I'm honest is still the best allrounder in terms of being able to do everything and working fairly stably but that's definitely not perfect either but the issue is that if you buy products that are kind of new and they only have like a little bit of software support there are often so many bugs or just so many limited features that it's not really worth using but L connect so far has been pretty decent even though it is a beta version and as you can see it does come up by default obviously you can turn this off if you don't want this Behavior like start minimize something like that but it has been improved quite recently it's almost a little bit more IQ in the way it kind of shows you a lot of stuff in the dashboard with this system info but actually connecting everything together is very straightforward you just come down here where it says L Wireless sync setup and then it's automatically detected this strer it's not paired we just click this little button and then as you can see it's now in syn how much easier could you get in my opinion not much at all right especially with a power cable it's got power so we literally just plugged that in and it worked now lconnect 3 traditionally we've noticed I don't want to say it's a CPU hog but it definitely does use a little bit of resource so if you running like a four core CPU or something like that probably going to be a better idea to upgrade your CPU rather than getting a load of fancy fans it shouldn't make too much difference especially on Modern CPUs but something is you know it's worth noting if you have an older CPU it could as to say potentially affect some of your frame rate if you are very CPU limited as it is but otherwise it's very easy to use actually you've got your system specifications you've got your resources here uh you can set up your profiles and things here is where you have that motherboard RPM sync but again remember you will actually have to connect this to the controller not the fans into the motherboard that isn't how you get the control you have to go via the USB controller you can set up a custom curve as I have here or you can use their default presets and save a few different custom profiles as well quick sync lighting this is again similar to what Corsair do where at like one button you can just make everything white or everything yellow or something like that so at the moment we've got this set of rainbow but if we wanted to make this meteor as soon as you hit apply everything syns up pretty quick not quite as quick as if it was all over USB but I mean yeah it's quick enough it's not a problem and actually having that strier does help to kind of like bring it all in tie it all together I'm a bit disappointed we couldn't really use the one on the graphics card at the bottom but hey ho it's not the end of the world so this is the meteor effect if you want to go for Runway I mean personally I don't want a flashing PC next to me I want it to slowly breathe and not be distracting but if you want it as a centerpiece then obviously that's a great thing to have rainbow morph oh that's a bug is that a bug yes look there you are the ster hasn't actually syned static color well it's accepted that maybe it just doesn't like rainbow morph at the moment okay the strer does not like rainbow morph if you did want to control either the fans or the shrier a bit more individually then you have these two different sections and you have loads more different effects shuttle run what's that okay so it goes up and down the cables so definitely a lot of effects to play around with we're not going to show you every single one but then when it comes into the fans I like the way that you literally just highlight what it is that you want to customize so if you want to change the screen you hit the screen or the lighting you hit obviously the RGB lighting rainbow morph is what we've got it here but again quite a few different effects and things you've got shuttle run again on this one I don't know why you couldn't syn that together there we are that's actually pretty nice that works quite well but do you see what I mean about the ram if you were able to sync it with a dress RGB on the pump the motherboard and then the ram I think this would really complete the look whereas at the moment you are definitely a little bit limited so if you're going to go for like a rainbow effect fine but be aware there's no cooler at the moment there's no other real control if you want to sync everything together but of course the star of the show really for these fans are going to be the LCDs if you're going to go down that route and yes you can absolutely rotate things if you want to put them in a different position so you can see the one at the top is moving around as we do that and it should remember the orientation when you refresh it cuz it's kind of Saved internally within the fan but this is I think one of the areas where they were having a few bugs so the behavior of the fan when it's not actually uh hooked up to the receiver it's also not going to be able to get the temperatures of your system in the Bios and things CU it relies on the USB connection with the software so it's only once you're in Windows that these things are going to work properly anyway but you got a few different effects and things you can do so you can select pictures gifts videos sensor animation so we're going to sync to all we can have rockets taking off by default personally speaking I would probably always go with the sensor information CU I think that's actually the most useful thing to have but I should note that I'm not 100% sure what's missing because this is an ultral line system it doesn't fully support it at the moment I think that's more on the Intel side of things rather than Le and Lee but at the moment we only have CPU and GPU Temp and loads whereas I would want things like your clock speeds and I'd want to be able to do some logging so maybe it says like Max temperatures and things there's a lot more they could put inside this that would actually make it a lot more useful whereas these Temps at the moment are a little bit basic but you do at least get some lighting around the outside to keep you occupied while you're looking at those as well let's quickly grab some gifs or is it gifs and then you hit add in the software and then you find your GIF so we select gify 2 and then they all show up down the bottom here and yes the theme was very much Austin Powers if you haven't worked that out only thing to note is that it doesn't resize the gifts so if you have like a rectangular image it's going to squash it so actually if we get um Mr fat on the top if you haven't watched Austin Powers you're going to be like what I swearing what what anyway you can see that our very rectangular GIF has been like squashed down so you wouldn't be able to use that but obviously just use some basic image Ting software and you'll be able to fix that no biggie but is something to note so the whole ecosystem honestly works really well I've not had any serious issues that would stop me from using this stopping me from recommending this and the whole build process is so much easier than everything else on the market whatever Le and Lee have done here it works fantastically well it is the best of the best the issue obviously comes down to the fact that if you don't like the style of these fans or you want to have a matching LCD cooler or well just cooler in general really then at the moment your options very limited so this is this doesn't have to be a day one purchase but if you need new fans and you like these they definitely do come recommended but I do want to quit do want to do a quick audio test for you grab our side panel we'll just latch that into position and then we will fire up cinch and I will also say one of the other things I do like about the software is that you can customize what the fans are associated with when it comes to temperatures so the ones down the bottom you'd want those to be down to the GPU temps and then obviously the ones that attach to the cooler or near the CPU cooling you'd want those on the CPU cooling it's nice that you can do that but if they could add functionality where again it could either sink up to the motherboard or you could actually plug in like some water cooling sensors into it somehow so it could go off fluid temperature that would be really useful as well let's fire up our C bench again this is an 9 285k so it uses a lot of power but not as much as a 14900 K what was that there was a funny noise there and I didn't like the sound of that I think it was just the glass slipping so they definitely can get I don't want to say loud but they can get audible but bear in mind we're running the CPU at 100% there it is 100% CPU load 234 watts and our CPU is at 81° that's not too shabby at all right there's definitely a lot of potential in these fans regardless of whether you want to use the pr athetics performance or probably what you're going to do and mixture of both but the question very much goes out to you guys on this what do you make of these new fans have they done enough for you to buy them and do you think that the asking price is reasonable personally speaking for a three pack around
