Building My Insane Gaming Setup: Part Three
Last night, we made some solid progress on building my gaming setup. We hooked up the Kanon Yu5 speakers along with their subwoofer and hung the geometric shapes on top of the setup to add some more personality to it. I'm definitely digging these shapes and I think they look really cool. The geometric shapes are made of a material that gives them a 3D effect when light hits them, creating a shadowy effect that adds depth to the overall design.
The Kanon Yu5 speakers are very versatile and can be powered via Bluetooth or plugged into any 3.5mm input. They also come with a remote control that makes it easy to adjust the volume on the fly. I'm particularly fond of the volume controls being right there, making it simple to switch between different audio sources without having to get up from my chair.
The speakers themselves are extremely loud and look great with their glossy white finish. This finish really adds to the overall aesthetic of my setup, making it look clean and modern. The subwoofer is also a beast, producing deep bass notes that rattle the room even at moderate volumes. I'm excited to test this out further and see how it performs in real-world gaming scenarios.
Moving on from the speakers, we need to tackle the task of cleaning up these cables and making the setup look cable-free. I have some wire mold and other materials that should help us achieve a sleek, organized appearance. This is an important step in completing my gaming setup, as it will not only make it look professional but also ensure that everything is easily accessible.
The current state of my gaming setup is 90% complete, with the main components all hooked up and installed. However, there's still some work to be done before I can call it finished. In part four of this series, we'll be focusing on modding the PC and adding some custom features to make it even more unique.
One last thing to discuss is where to place the white 3D printed logo on my white H440 case. As you may recall from previous videos, I had a black 3D printed logo on this case in the past. However, since the front of the case is now black, I wanted to create a matching design that would complement it better. The question on everyone's mind is where to place this new logo – should it be on the bottom, top, or somewhere else entirely? I think my favorite spot for the logo is right here in the center, but I'd love to hear your guys' opinions as well.
For some extra wall decor, I added these Prisma wall decorations. They're really cool geometric shapes that can be hung from twine or mounted to the wall using a variety of methods. Not only do they add some visual interest to my gaming setup, but they also serve as a functional decoration piece by covering up a fire alarm and water sprinkler in the background. The lights on these decorations create an interesting 3D effect when viewed at different angles.
Overall, I'm really happy with how part three of this series turned out. We made some significant progress on building my gaming setup, and I think it's starting to take shape into something truly special. Stay tuned for the final installment of this series, where we'll be modding the PC and adding even more custom features to make it unique.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys I'm random Frank P back with part three of building my insane gaming setup and as you can see behind me we have the silver play button hung up right here and judging by all the comments in the last video I think uh think majority voted on it being on the wall across from the gaming setup underneath the shelves I agree I think it looks good here so we've got that set up now we got a lot to do today we're we're going to clean up the room put the desk together work on cable management for the cables behind the monitors and then hang those speakers so let's kick off part three all right next up is going to be cable management for the monitors and the problem is all three monitors have these huge power bricks so we have to somehow keep these organized not seen behind the monitors here three power bricks three HDMI or display port cables into the wall possibly into the back of the PC I kind of want to mount this behind the uh the monitor somewhere so I can just plug them all in and not have to worry about the the power bricks for the monitors being seen hopefully I can somehow Mount that and run the cable from this uh into the wall down below the desk into that outlet yeah it's not going to work uh I just tried to fish the cable down and that thing is packed with insulation so we have a hole in the wall for no reason now that sucks now I have to figure out a way to efficiently hide these cables I don't want three power bricks and all these cables hanging down like it's like one giant comp they're like pancakes damn it didn't look that big when I put it on the thing all right so last night after the whole drilling wall Fiasco I patched it up because that just wasn't going to work out too much insulation in there and uh it's just it was packed the insul insation is packed so got the uh the patch on there got that all squared away and what I did actually was in the meantime I uh well covered it up obviously moved the Monitor and it just fell however see there's the patch still got to paint it up but I'm just going to put my power brick for the monitors over that in the meantime now yes I still do have some uh some cables running down here throughout the back which right now it'll do I'm not a fan of it but I ordered these uh cable channels which is like this flat piece of uh kind of like plastic just a little little flat Channel we're going to have it go from back here let go here and make a 90° turn down so all this will be covered it'll be flush with the wall once I painted that color and uh then I just got to paint that patch and we should be all right and actually while we're at I could show you the uh the quick cable management job I did behind the monitors I just have the uh the power bricks on top behind the mount which is good so they're not going to be hanging down and then I have all the cables you know wrapped up with like zip ties and stuff so I seem to find a better Mount solution for this doesn't keep falling every time I move the monitor arm but so far only thing hanging down are the HDMI cords and the uh the power power cable to connect to the wall adapter but I mean I think for the six cables that we have not being able to see it when they're all pushed together it's pretty good I'm still going to tidy these up some more but like I said I have uh have the cable channel coming for that then we should be all good to go but for now what we're going to do is get the rest of the desktop together complete this throw the extra things like you know get a permanent place for the amp and Dack and make it more complete if you will one more thing I wanted to talk about with you guys was I'll be addressing the PC we'll be you know modding this and kind of making it better for the channel in a future video but in the meantime if you guys remember on my white h440 I had the 3D printed black random Frank P logo on it this time I have a uh a white 3D printed logo to better fit the black front of the case here only question is where should I put these should I put put them on the bottom if you can kind of visualize uh you know the PE there as well should I put it there should I put it on top or like right in the middle there or like on the actual top I think right here is my favorite but uh I want to hear your guys' opinions as well where do you think I should put the 3D prined logo on this case all right so for some extra wall decor I added these Prisma wall decorations there's these really cool geometric shapes you can hang up you can literally hang them from like twine uh Mount them to the wall I think they look really cool above the setup just adds you know little extra dimension up top so it's not just so plain and just you know white up there and also it's covering the fire alarm like water sprinkler cuz that was just sticking out of the wall it was kind of like an isore with it all being just clean and plain up top then the sprinkler there so I think add those up top looks pretty cool it's a great set they were pretty cheap for you for six of them and uh depending on like the light and stuff it kind of has this like 3d effect to it with the uh Reflection from the light and stuff with the shadow I think they look pretty cool you guys might not like them but I'm digging them this ain't no picnic whatever youever you all right so it's the next day last night we made uh some solid progress we hooked up the Kanto yu5 speakers along with their subwoofer and we hung the geometric shapes on top of the setup to kind of you know I don't know add some more personality to it I'm definitely digging them and I am loving these speakers let me just show you guys these real quick before we move on to the next step they are uh first off they're very versatile they can either be Bluetooth powered which is you know I can connect them to my PC and have all the audio come through there via that and there's also many inputs you can plug it into either like a 3.5 mm headphone jack and it coming through the audio from your PC laptop phone whatever right now I'm a particular fan of having them on the Bluetooth volume controls are very easy right there they also give you a uh a remote control which I have down here so in case I don't want to stop and go up and adjust it VI the volume knob right there I have all the controls right in my hand volume switching inputs Bluetooth everything right here these are all awesome they get Extremely Loud and they look really nice and clean that nice glossy white finish I think just really does a lot when it comes to the overall Aesthetics of my setup and then uh down here is the subwoofer uh I haven't got to really test this fully yet you know to its fullest potential because the base on this is insane even at about like 50% you know we do have neighbors down below but this this whole kit right here with these the the Yu 5 speakers and the sub is just awesome so far so right now our task is going to be cleaning up these cables cleaning that up I have some some wire mold and stuff so we can hopefully make this completely cableless it a nice clean appearance all right guys that'll do it for part three uh kind of sum it up we got the silver play button hung up uh got the cable management straightened out we hung the speakers and by the way let me know if you want to see a dedicated review on those they're pretty awesome so if you want to see that let me know down below we've made some solid progress today the room is 90% done I'll say so I got to straighten some things up and then work on the PC which I'm going to be adding some you know modifications stuff like that so stay tuned till part four we'll be modding that and also let me know down below where you want the white random Frank P 3D printed logo on the case to be and yeah stay tuned for that guys hope you enjoyed part three of building my insane gaming setup I'll see you guys
