CUTE FALL DIY _ Mug Warmers _ DOLLAR TREE Mugs

### DIY Cute Mug Warmers: A Fall-Themed Crafting Project

Hello, dear friends! Today, I’m thrilled to share another fun DIY project with you—one that’s both practical and adorable. If you’re looking for a charming way to keep your hands warm (or just add some fall flair) while enjoying your favorite beverages, these mug warmers are perfect for you. In this video, I’ll walk you through how to create a variety of cute mug warmers using materials like felt pumpkins, ribbons, and even Scarecrows. So, grab your crafting supplies, and let’s get started!

#### **What You’ll Need**

Before diving into the projects, here’s a quick list of materials you might need:

- Adhesive or stick-on Velcro (available at the Dollar Tree)

- Felt pumpkins (available at Hobby Lobby)

- Ribbon (Hobby Lobby has some beautiful fall-themed options that are currently 40% off—grab them while they’re on sale!)

- Scarecrow embellishments (like the one shown in the video)

- Rhinestones for added bling

- Dollar Tree coffee mugs (they’re inexpensive and perfect for this project)

#### **Project 1: The Basic Pumpkin Mug Warmer**

Let’s start with a simple yet elegant design—the basic pumpkin mug warmer. This is the kind of project that will serve as a staple in your collection, offering a classic touch to any fall-themed setup.

Here’s how you’ll do it:

1. Choose your favorite felt pumpkin from Hobby Lobby. They come in various sizes and colors, so feel free to mix and match based on your preference.

2. Use a hot glue gun to secure the pumpkin to your mug. It’s as easy as that! The best part about this design is its simplicity—it’s quick to make and looks stunning on any coffee cup.

If you want to get creative, you can stack multiple pumpkins or experiment with different sizes and colors. Just remember to use a hot glue gun for a secure hold, especially since the mug warmer needs to stay put while you’re sipping your drink.

---

#### **Project 2: The Ribbon Mug Warmer**

Now, let’s move on to the second option—a design that doubles as both a functional mug warmer and a decorative piece. This one uses ribbon, which adds a touch of elegance and can be customized in various ways depending on your style.

Here’s how to create it:

1. Select your desired ribbon from Hobby Lobby or another craft store. If you live in a colder climate, opt for thicker materials like burlap or fleece to keep your hands warm.

2. Wrap the ribbon around your mug and adjust its length so that there’s enough to overlap at the ends. Use scissors to trim off any excess.

3. Apply stick-on Velcro to the finished end of the ribbon. This ensures that the raw edge is hidden, creating a polished look.

Pro tip: After attaching the Velcro, use hot glue to secure it further. This prevents the adhesive from coming loose, even after multiple uses.

For an extra-special touch, pair your ribbon with a Scarecrow embellishment or other fall-themed decorations. The combination of plaid ribbon and a Scarecrow is absolutely adorable—and trust me, you’ll be the talk of the town!

#### **Project 3: The Blinged-Out Pumpkin Mug Warmer**

If you’re looking to add some extra flair to your mug warmer collection, this “blinged-out” pumpkin design is just the ticket. It’s essentially the same as the basic pumpkin mug warmer but with an added touch of sparkle that takes it to the next level.

Here’s how to make it:

1. Choose a felt pumpkin and apply hot glue to secure it to your mug.

2. Add rhinestones or other embellishments around the pumpkin for a touch of bling.

This design is perfect if you want something a bit more elaborate but still easy to create. Plus, it’s a fun way to experiment with different colors and patterns.

---

#### **Why These Mug Warmers Are Perfect as Gifts**

One thing I love about these mug warmers is how versatile they are—whether you’re keeping one for yourself or gifting them to others, they’re sure to bring a smile to someone’s face. Teachers, co-workers, family members, and friends will all appreciate the thought behind these handmade creations.

And let’s not forget how inexpensive this project is! With materials like Dollar Tree coffee mugs and Hobby Lobby fall items on sale for 40% off, you can make multiple mug warmers without breaking the bank.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello my dear friends today I'm back with another DIY that I'm hoping you're going to love as much as I do so I decided that this year I have to have some really cute mug warmers now for this specific video though the mug warmers is more like a decoration because I'm actually using ribbon but I'm going to show you a couple different variations here so I'm just showing you that you're gonna need an adhesive or like stick on velcro which can get the Dollar Tree but I got this zoology zoology at Hobby Lobby the ribbon is also from Hobby Lobby but everything from Hobby Lobby for fall right now is 40% off so take advantage of that I'm just showing you little embellishments that I'm going to use these really cute felt pumpkins and then the Scarecrow right here is just it kills me to pieces it's so darling so anyway so I'm also going to be utilizing rhinestones and Dollar Tree coffee mugs and a Dollar Tree two coffee mugs actually so the very first one I'm going to show you I'm calling the pumpkin it's gonna be very basic I feel like this is a perfect staple to have if you're gonna have a warm mug warmer collection just have something really beautiful simple and classic and that's what I wanted to do I'm just showing you all the different options for what pumpkins would look like even if you stacked them up and did multiple pumpkins that's an option as well you basically just need a good ol hot glue gun so the genius thing to this mug warmer is that the mug warmer actually comes off of the cup even the ones from the Dollar Tree so this orange one I did get from the Dollar Tree they have multiple colors but I knew I wanted orange for the Fall so I'm just taking my pumpkin of my choice I dab some hot glue and that is that stunning gorgeous and the best part again is that you can build a collection and do more I'm also showing a blinged-out little pumpkin which you'll see here later on if you just want to add a little bit more pizazz so the second option is going to be the ribbon and again this is where it's like is it a mug warmer because is it really warming my hands so this piece is more of a decoration but I will say that where I live it's just not that you know cold right now so ribbon works really well because then my hands won't get too warm but if you do live in a very cold climate during fall just pick ribbon that's a little bit thicker maybe a burlap you can even go for some fleece material and fabric which would look very cute so what I'm showing you here is I'm taking this ribbon and I want to cut a like I want to fold a little crease so that it looks very nice and finished and make sure that you're wrapping it around your mug and sizing it out and then just you know take a pair scissors and trimming it off and then this is where you're going to take the velcro adhesive and I always put that to the finished end because the finished end is going to overlap the unfinished ribbon end so as you can see I'm pulling it over and voila done now I just stuck those on as stickers with the sticker backing but afterwards I did go back and apply hot glue so that my velcro would never move so I decided that this brown gorgeous plaid ribbon would look darling with the Scarecrow and how many of you are just having a fit right now because is that not the cutest mug warmer you've ever seen and these are darling as gifts perfect for a teacher the the coffee mug was a dollar from the Dollar Tree I'm showing you another option I'm calling it the blingy pumpkin it's the same kind of concept you measure you cut you add your velcro adhesive which is the key because that enables for you to take it on and off of your mug so that you can't actually wash your mug you know in the washing machine or in the dishwasher because you don't want to wash your mug warmer so that's it you guys I hope that you loved it again it's like a perfect gift for just anyone take it to work you know give it to a co-worker teacher family friends it is just the cutest little thing so inexpensive to do again I hope that you guys love it thank you so much for watching all of my videos and for being so kind to me
