The Oppo F1 Plus: A Smartphone That Deserves to Stand Out
Kind: captionsLanguage: entoday we're going to be taking a look at a brand new smartphone from Oppo and it is the F1 plus oh wait a minute this isn't an Oppo phone this is an iPhone 6s+ uh this is the Oppo F1 plus and as you can see it's a fairly easy mistake to make to confuse the two Oppo certainly hasn't been subtle about its design choices for the F1 plus and even its name but that's a bit of a shame because the F1 plus really deserves to stand out on its own without comparisons to the iPhone 6s plus inevitable though they are because the phone itself is actually really good.
This is a 5.5 in 1080P screen on the front of the phone and it's an Amel panel so it's really really bright like Apple's phone you've got a fingerprint sensor in the home button here and it's very fast and has proven to be extremely reliable in our testing inside as 4 GB of RAM there's 64 GB of storage and there's a Micro SD card slot if you feel the need to give that a boost. There's some more sort of iPhone styling hints down the bottom here there's even a raised camera lens on the rear.
The cameras are a bit of about face on the F1 plus because Oppo is pushing this as a selfie l smartphone the camera on the front has got 16 megapixels uh so we'll take extremely clear selfies the camera on the rear has only got 13 megapixels so not quite so good performance between the two does vary quite considerably and you can see some sample pictures on the website soon now.
Going back to the internal power we said 4 GB of RAM and a nice healthy 64 GB of memory but it's amediate Tech processor that's in side running the phone sometimes that can cause a few problems with performance particularly for gaming but not so here we've had no problems at all playing games on the F1 plus and they look great on that nice screen Android is running on the F1 plus but it has oppo's color OSS user interface over the top.
It's been vastly improved since the last time we used this which was on the F1 Plus's smaller brother the F1 you'll see immediately there are a few good changes here and there's no messing around with needless alterations the way the Android works oppo's also decided not to install as many pre-installed apps we've only got a few there's a security cent center which is actually quite helpful um and some standard apps like a video player and a music player so it's really not stuffed with needless apps now.
Oppo is charging £300 uh for the F1 plus which is pretty good value in the UK although we do urge anybody thinking of this to have a look at the OnePlus 3 at the same time if you're in the US and like the idea of this super thin and very goodlooking Android phone we don't think you should buy it. Oppo has decided to leave out many of the essential LTE bands from the F1 plus so it's not going to connect very easily or very often to 4G and networks bit of a shame really that is
