A Sneak Peek at the Future of Gaming Laptops: The MSI Creator 17 with Mini LED Technology
As we stepped into the bustling streets of Las Vegas, where the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was in full swing, our team of tech testers found themselves at the MSI booth, eager to get a first-hand look at the company's latest innovation. We wanted to thank Amaziah for making it possible for us to attend CES this year, and we were excited to see what MSI had in store for us.
Our attention was immediately drawn to the brand-new laptop that caught our eye - the MSI Creator 17, featuring mini LED technology for the first time. For those who may not be familiar with mini LED technology, let's dive into what makes it so special. In traditional laptops, there's usually just one big blob of light behind the screen, which can make it challenging to control all the parts simultaneously. Mini LEDs, on the other hand, consist of tiny little LEDs that light up individually behind a screen, resulting in much higher brightness and true blacks - a significant improvement over traditional screens.
This means that the MSI Creator 17 boasts an impressive 1000 nits of brightness, significantly more than your average laptop screen, which typically tops out around 500 nits. Moreover, mini LED technology eliminates the risk of screen burn-in, a major concern for users who spend extended periods working with video or photos. With its superior brightness and zero burn-in capabilities, the MSI Creator 17 is sure to be a top contender in the content creation world.
One can't help but notice the sleek design of the laptop, which closely resembles our own Prestige 17 (reviewed earlier). While we appreciate the minimalist aesthetic, we do have to comment on the new font used on the keyboard. As someone who's grown accustomed to the classic look and feel of older laptops, I must admit that I prefer the old font a bit more - it has a certain 'tackiness' or 'gamey-ness' to it that works well with content creation-focused devices like this one.
However, I do acknowledge that the new font does fit seamlessly into the overall design and purpose of the laptop. It's clear that MSI aimed to create a device that would cater specifically to content creators, photographers, and videographers - anyone who requires high-quality visuals for their work. And in terms of color accuracy, the MSI Creator 17 delivers with 100% DCI P3 coverage, ensuring great color reproduction and an immersive viewing experience.
The best part? You can customize this laptop to suit your specific needs, choosing from a range of Intel Core i9 CPUs up to the 10th generation. While we don't have exact specifications or pricing details just yet, it's safe to say that this is a premium device that won't come cheap.
As our team eagerly awaits the official launch and review process, we can't help but feel excited about what MSI has brought to the table with the Creator 17. With its innovative mini LED technology, sleek design, and focus on content creation, this laptop is shaping up to be a game-changer in the world of gaming laptops. We'll have to wait and see how it stacks up against other devices in the market, but for now, we're eager to get our hands on one and put it through its paces.
In conclusion, we want to extend a huge thank you to Amaziah for making CES possible for us this year. With the MSI Creator 17 leading the charge in innovation, we can't wait to see what the future holds for gaming laptops and content creation-focused devices. Stay tuned for our full review and hands-on experience with this incredible laptop!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys not here from tech testers and here we are at CES in Las Vegas the completely crazy city we are here at the msi booth first I want to thank Amaziah for actually making it possible for us to attend CES this year this is the creator 17 their brand-new laptop that is actually the first laptop that comes with mini LED technology now if you don't know what mini LED technology is well previous laptops usually just have one big blob of light light in the screen behind and it was really hard to control all the parts the same way and with mini LEDs you have a tiny little mini LEDs behind a screen lighting up individually which results in much higher brightness and in much truer darkness so it's a a quite nice contrast with a lot of details that you get in return now it's a you could say it's a little competitor to OLED screens which are very popular right now but the upside of mini LED technology is that you have much higher brightness so this screen is going to have over 1000 nits in brightness while the usual olace screen is going to have around 500 ish so it's twice the brightness the second up side of the screen as that is not going to have any burnings now for all those users that's pretty much the biggest scare and that is if you're going to have a screen burnin while mini LED is going to have zero so this supposed to be a perfect content creating machine so if you work anything with video or photos this should be DeLaughter to go for because it does have 100% DCI p3 color accuracy so you're going to have great color reproduction when it comes to the whole design of the laptop as you can see it has a very sleek design it is very light it is very thin it's actually very much like the prestige 17 that I have right here so it's exactly the same chassis with a difference of fonts on the keyboard but I'm going to talk about that a bit later if you want to check out the prestige video did before I did the review of prestige 15 go click on the link up here now when it comes to the keyboard I have to say the new font I guess it's gonna be personal preference I actually do prefer the old font a bit more it's a bit more tacky or a bit more gamey but I do have to say that the new font does go with the content creation machine the last thing I want to say is that this laptop we don't know the price yet or the exact specification and you can choose your own and it's gonna keep going to go up to the 10th generation of Intel Core i 9 CPUs with whatever you want to add that is gonna fit your needs it should come out at the end of q1 beginning of q2 we don't know exactly and we don't know the price but with a brand new technology and the first laptop with a mini LED display I do not expect the price to be on the lower end let's say it like that now that is it for today I really cannot wait to get this laptop to our office and actually properly test it until then I'm just going to have to yeah go with this now thank you so much for watching let me know in the comments down below what do you think about this laptop about mini LED technology in general don't forget to subscribe give me a thumbs up
