The Joy of Nature Box: A Mother's Love and a Jedi's Approval
As we sat down to enjoy our latest delivery from NatureBox, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nostalgia. The unboxing process was as anticipated as ever, with Wicket eagerly waiting for her turn at trying each new snack. And try them she did, with gusto, declaring "Mmmm" and "Wookiee-approved" throughout the tasting session.
One of the snacks that caught my attention first was the Sal Caramel Pretzel pops. I must admit, I'm not a fan of pretzels on their own, but in this form, they were a revelation. The combination of sweet and salty flavors had me hooked from the very first bite. Wicket, on the other hand, was less than impressed with the pretzel taste, declaring "Wookiee doesn't like pretzels!" But I couldn't help but be charmed by her candor.
Next up were the Everything Bagel Sticks, which I had high hopes for due to their sesame stick-like aroma. While they didn't quite live up to my expectations of being a full-on everything bagel experience, they were still flavorful and reminiscent of sesame sticks. Wicket, however, was not convinced, politely declining a second bite after the first.
As we continued on our snacking journey, the Cashew Crumble became a clear winner in my book. The light, airy texture was a perfect complement to the rich, nutty flavor that I adore. "Mmm... like a cashew cookie!" Wicket exclaimed, much to my delight. She also gave her seal of approval to the Granola, which she declared was "sweet" and "choco-cocoa-y".
Throughout our snacking adventure, Diana kept us company, rocking Wicket to sleep while I kept an ear out for any questions from our live audience. And speak of questions, we did receive a few queries about the nature of our diaper-changing process, which we promptly debunked as not something we're willing to share on camera.
But enough about the snacks - let's talk about the true star of the show: Wicket. Our little Jedi-in-training was a pro when it came to trying new foods and drinks, even going so far as to ask if they knew her favorite dad (that would be me). She also made us laugh with her witty remarks about the cashews not tasting like "real" nuts.
As we wrapped up our snacking session, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this little bundle of joy who's brought so much love and laughter into our lives. And as for Wicket? Well, she's still got a special place in her heart for those Sal Caramel Pretzel Pops - maybe they'll become her new favorite snack after all.
The NatureBox Live Stream: A Surprise Hit
As we set up the live stream to share with our audience, I have to admit that I was a bit nervous. What would our viewers want to see? Would it be a geek-filled Q&A session or something entirely different?
Well, it turned out that the answer to both questions was "yes" - and then some! The chat filled up with enthusiastic messages of love for Wicket, who stole the show as her dad read Vader's Little Princess to her. It was a heartwarming moment that had us all smiling from ear to ear.
And speaking of smiles, I have to admit that I was feeling a bit nostalgic during the reading session. Who else remembers singing silly songs with their kids like "Iny Wiy Spider" and "There's Another One"? It brought back memories of my own childhood, and I'm so grateful to be able to share those moments with our little Jedi.
Trash Night Shenanigans
After a busy day of snacking and streaming, it was time for the trash to go out. But as I headed downstairs to take care of the task at hand, I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. Would I be able to resist the urge to drink from my favorite bottle (which has a certain... let's call it "character" to it)?
As I made my way to the trash can, I realized that I hadn't had a sip from an actual bottle in ages - and maybe even ever? But with Wicket by my side, I felt a sense of reassurance. Maybe this was the perfect opportunity to break out the old bottle and give it another try.
But alas, fate had other plans. As I reached for the bottle, I accidentally knocked over a nearby container of juice boxes - and suddenly I was on a mission to clean up the spill before things got out of hand. Who knew that trash night could be so eventful?
And finally, as we wrapped up our day with a reading session and some quality time together, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this little family of ours. From diaper changes to snacking adventures, every moment is an opportunity for love, laughter, and connection - and I wouldn't have it any other way.
