How To Install Android 2.2.1 On iPhone 3G_2G - Dual Boot Froyo 2.2

**Jailbreaking an iPhone to Run Android: A Step-by-Step Guide**

If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore the world of Android on your iPhone, jailbreaking is the way to go. In this article, we'll walk you through the process of jailbreaking your iPhone 3G or 2G and installing Cydia, a popular app store for iOS devices.

**Installing Cydia and Bootlace**

First things first, make sure you have a stable internet connection and that your iPhone is fully charged. Next, download the Cydia package from the source repository, which can be found by navigating to **Sources > Manage Sources > Edit > Add New Source**. Enter the URL of the source repository, which is `do.noonkoala.com`, and click on **Add Source**. Once the source is added, click on **Edit** next to it, and then select **Bootlace** as the package to install. Click on **Install** and confirm when prompted.

Once the installation process is complete, your iPhone will reboot automatically. This may take a few minutes, so be patient. When your iPhone reboots, you'll see the Bootlace logo appear on the screen. Wait for it to load completely before proceeding.

**Configuring Cydia**

After the Bootlace logo has loaded, click on **I Droid** and then select **Install I Droid** to begin the installation process. This may take around 20 minutes, so don't worry if you see a progress bar that seems to be taking forever.

Once the installation is complete, you'll be prompted to restart your iPhone. Follow the on-screen instructions to restart your device.

**Enabling Android Mode**

After your iPhone has rebooted, you'll see an option to boot into either Android or iOS. To select Android mode, press the **Home** button and wait for your iPhone to boot up. You should now see the Android home screen appear on your iPhone.

**Exploring Android on Your iPhone**

The first thing you'll notice about running Android on your iPhone is how it's a bit different from what you're used to. The interface may feel a bit dated, but it's still recognizable and easy to navigate. You'll also notice that some features are missing, such as the camera app.

To access the home screen, press the **Home** button (also known as the power button) and then tap on an icon to launch an app. To switch between screens, use the **Menu** button (also known as the multi-tasking button) or swipe from the top of the screen with your finger.

**Controls**

To navigate your iPhone's Android interface, you'll need to get familiar with some new controls. The **Home** button is located at the bottom left corner of the screen and serves as both the power button and the home button.

The **Menu** button (also known as the multi-tasking button) is located on the right side of the screen and allows you to switch between open apps or access additional features. To launch an app, simply tap on its icon.

To turn off your iPhone, press both the **Home** button and the **Power** button simultaneously for a few seconds until the "Slide to Power Off" slider appears on the screen.

**Dual Booting**

One of the coolest features of running Android on your iPhone is the ability to dual boot between iOS and Android. This means you can choose which operating system to use each time you restart your device. To access this feature, simply press the **Home** button after powering off your iPhone and select **Android** or **Terminal App** from the menu.

**Tips and Warnings**

Before proceeding with jailbreaking your iPhone, make sure you understand the risks involved. Jailbreaking can potentially brick your device, so it's essential to be cautious when following these steps.

Additionally, some features may not work as expected due to compatibility issues or lack of optimization for iOS devices. Be prepared for potential overheating and battery drain.

If you're unsure about any part of the process, it's always a good idea to seek guidance from online forums or communities dedicated to iPhone jailbreaking.

**Conclusion**

Running Android on your iPhone is an exciting experience that can open up new possibilities for customization and exploration. By following these steps, you can successfully jailbreak your iPhone 3G or 2G and start enjoying the world of Android. Remember to be patient and cautious during the process, as some features may not work as expected due to compatibility issues.

a link for uh the iPhone 3G up here and the iPhone 2g down here if you don't have a jailbreak for it um but once cyia finishes reloading I'll be right back okay so once it's finished reloading we're going to be adding a source so manage sources edit add and we are adding this Source repo do neon koala doco do.uk and it will look like this and you'll put a forward slash at the end so once you've got that just you're going to add the source already already have it and you will just click on in and there's only one package in there it's called bootlace and you will install this so install and confirm and once you've got that it'll of course reboot your device once you're booted back up you should see a boot like this just go ahead and click on it and once it loads um yours won't load right would not use this as my primary OS because it it heats up a lot it's not optimized for battery and a lot of features are missing so you're you're getting less than you're you're sacrificing more than you're actually getting in return um I found mostly everything does work but the camera doesn't work and it overheats Now controls to go back to the home home menu button is the power button and the menu button is this button right here and this is the phone button and to turn it off you just tap both of them at the same time and then to turn it back on you just press one of them and to I want to
