A MAGIC ARM and NEW USB MIC from Avermedia!

**A Comprehensive Review of the Mic Arm and Microphone Combination**

As I began to set up this microphone arm and microphone combination, I couldn't help but feel excited about its potential uses. The arm itself is listed as compatible with phones, making it a great option for streaming on-the-go or using in a smaller configuration. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the microphone doesn't come with an A to C adapter, which is required to connect it to the phone via USB-C. Luckily, I had one handy, and after plugging it in, the microphone began to function seamlessly.

One of the standout features of this arm is its versatility. It can be used not only as a microphone arm but also as a clamp for attaching phones or other devices. The fact that it's designed to accommodate various types of equipment makes it an incredibly useful tool for content creators and streamers alike. In addition to its practical applications, the arm itself looks sleek and modern, with a sturdy construction that exudes quality.

As I experimented with the microphone, I was pleased to find that it produces clear and crisp sound. The all-metal construction gives it a solid feel in the hand, and the monitoring port allows for easy adjustments to be made without affecting the overall audio output on the computer. The volume control is also a clever feature, allowing users to adjust the level of audio played through their headphones while keeping the mic's input unaffected.

**Hands-On Testing**

To put this microphone arm and microphone combination through its paces, I decided to set up a makeshift streaming station in my home office. First, I connected the phone to the arm using an A to C adapter (which, as mentioned earlier, was not included in the box). The process was straightforward, and once everything was in place, I began testing the microphone's audio quality.

I'm pleased to report that the sound coming from the microphone is excellent. Whether listening to music or watching videos, the audio is crisp and clear, with no signs of distortion or interference. The arm itself holds up surprisingly well, even when supporting a camera (which, as an added bonus, allows for more creative setup options).

**The Verdict**

While the microphone itself is certainly functional, it's the arm that truly steals the show. Its versatility, flexibility, and overall design make it an incredibly valuable tool for content creators and streamers looking to enhance their streaming setups. Whether you're using it as a microphone arm or a phone clamp, this device has the potential to revolutionize your streaming experience.

In terms of aesthetics, I'm also quite impressed with the build quality of the microphone arm. It's clear that attention was paid to designing a product that looks and feels premium. The all-metal construction, combined with the sleek design, makes for an appealing addition to any home office or studio setup.

**A Word from the Reviewer**

As someone who spends a significant amount of time streaming and content creating, I can confidently say that this microphone arm and microphone combination is going to change my workflow forever. The flexibility, practicality, and sheer versatility of this device make it an absolute must-have for anyone looking to elevate their streaming game.

Whether you're using it as a standalone mic or paired with the arm, this product has the potential to take your content creation to new heights. As someone who's always on the lookout for innovative tools to help streamline my workflow, I'm excited to put this device through its paces and see just how far it can push me.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, the mic arm and microphone combination is a must-have for any serious content creator or streamer looking to upgrade their setup. With its versatility, practicality, and premium build quality, it's an absolute game-changer. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: ena media just dropped two new products and that's the versao condenser microphone and the big boy here the flexi go mic arm it's more than just an arm as it says there's a lot going on here let's get into it so what you're hearing me through right now is the Versa go cardioid condenser microphone and it's supposed to cost $69.99 and right now I have it mounted to the flexi go mic arm well more than just an arm like I said if anything we'll just call it arm arm is supposed to cost $99.99 you'll see throughout the video what value you get for that $99.99 for this arm firstly a media streaming Center Software offers a couple of other options for this microphone if you use it through that software so let's switch to that first before coming back to OBS so here we are with the a media versati 90 condenser microphone using the a media streaming Center Software the reason I wanted to show you guys the software is specifically because there are options for recording and even streaming that you can get in the software that you could use with the microphone that you can't exactly replicate in OBS so let me show you real quick over here in the mixer you see the microphone on the side if I go to audio settings on that mic I get noise suppression so that's via like Echo cancellation this is how it would sound with the echo cancellation turned on uh you have also noise suppression is either a media's AI noise suppression a uh engine uh for this or you can use the Nvidia noise removal one but make sure you have the Nvidia uh and the noise removal SDK stuff turned on uh installed rather I'll have that Linked In description below and uh let's see I switch to it and I can have it at max level and there we go now this specific part of it the Nvidia noise removal we can uh actually replicate that in OBS and I will show you guys how once we get to that part of the test so um honestly I'm just going to go ahead and leave the Nvidia noise removal on because generally with especially condensers it does a really great job at sounding good other things that this software has Noise Gate you can also do that in OBS dser not so easy in OBS at least not without additional plugins uh other effects you can do amplification and stuff like that Reverb you can add or control Reverb as well compressor and EQ this is stuff you can add with plugins and OBS but um uh it's all already there in the streaming Center Software from a media and just a quick example of different sounds with the EQ I'm going to go to deep base boost deep base boost so this is how that sounds with it it's been applied let's go over to treble boost this is how it sounds with treble boost and then we have mid-range boost honestly these are going to be the three most common ones that people use but uh you have you can customize it you can go to vocal enhancement if that's how you want to use it it's pretty neat that you have all those default ones in there but I think that the microphone by default already sounds pretty good for a condenser microphone so there you go all right listening back to that whole section after adding the Nvidia noise removal on it it seemed to have a little bit of a glitching issue I've actually seen that with the Nvidia noise removal uh function in the Elgato wavelink software for their microphones so it's interesting to see that here too it did sort of clear up after a second but it wasn't how I expected it to sound so something to uh think about maybe uh software updates for the software will help make the microphone sound a little bit better but also I wanted to point out I meant to say Versa go not Versa 90 if you look at the packaging I kind of thought that was a nine oops anyways let's go to OBS now I need to ask you something are you subscribed to our YouTube channel cuz if you're not hit that subscribe button and also follow over on Twitch links are right over here all right I'm out of here I don't like it over there and so now here we are recording everything inside of OBS camera and microphone and uh let's go ahead and apply that noise suppression filter using Nvidia broadcast now and you'll see how this sounds so at this point you've gotten a sense of how the microphone sounds raw with no adjustment just you get what you get any background noise that's picking up that's how the microphone sounds naturally directly with nothing else going on but now I'm all I'm gonna do is throw the Nvidia noise suppression filter on it and I'm going to do that and when I do that it's really nice because yes it really just helps reduce all sorts of different noises including tapping on desk crinkling of papers or plastic or anything like that but also when you stop talking it also drops to a level that makes it like there's just not random noise that the mic is picking up as well it just goes quiet and it sounds like in a matter of speaking the way a mic should work when you're listening stuff from a content creator or streamer now let's continue something else that a media sent over with this microphone was their new flexi uh go mic arm and I got to say that this is a very kind of unique take on a mic arm because this is a little less like a mic arm which is like this one right here which is literally a traditional mic arm like you know the way that it mounts the way that it moves and that's the the main one that they have big long one this is a new sort of smaller one all metal construction on this one so that's nice got a ball joint here essentially a ball joint here and a ball joint here too you can mount cameras microphones and whatever on there but what this really is especially for you guys in the Camera World this is more of a magic arm like the way that you can move this around and freely Mount you could if you wanted to do say uh like a low profile mic arm uh configuration you could do it like this or you want to bring it up and you have it close to your mouth you do it like this let's go ahead and mount this microphone onto the arm and we'll start using it that way before I do that though I did want to point out that it does come with this miniature travel tripod with the ball head Mount and it's kind of nice you've been seeing me use it up until now so you now you can probably hear a little bit of handling noise that I'm getting from it or if I'm going to touch the microphone and get any handling noise there now I have to say that the freeness of how you can manipulate this mic arm is actually really awesome because you can ccken into all sorts of different angles due the ball head mounting on uh the bottom and with the microphone here that you can't quite get with a microphone like this one this one like like I can't crank it at an angle like I've done here either it comes down or it comes up and you can you know go this way and that way and then whatever else is from what you get from this part of it well on this one you literally just manipulate it and move it around whatever way you want by loosening the the clamps right and you can be out here with it where I could I couldn't have done that motion with with that one and if I also wanted to adjust it here I can also get a different movement uh using the ball head up here so I can live move the ball head and then position the microphone in the way that I want just like that and then lock it down with the clamps that's pretty cool it's got a desk clamp Mount that it comes with there isn't any other way there's some people that will mount a mic arm directly into a desk but this is just a clamp and clamp only from what I can tell with it unless you can find a way to utilize the ball mount from something else and then stick this into that ball mount that's neither here nor there though what's nice is the maximum amount of flexibility that this micr gives you and now I can have this microphone closer to my mouth it's a little bit louder and it sounds a little bit better this way now that it's here let's see if it Peaks peek peek here we go with some plosives P Pizza now this microphone also has touch to mute but it's not like tap capacitive mute some other microphones has it's a button on the bottom so let's see if that Peaks anything here in my meters I have the Nvidia noise suppression turned off let's turn that off noise suppression is now turned off let's go ahead and push the button now to see if it spikes anything very little I don't think that's going to be too much of a problem that is problematic for uh some microphones when you do that doesn't seem to be too much too much of an issue here but again noise suppression turned on and it's not a problem at all this microphone is also listed as compatible with phones so let's do something here a media has also included this and I'm not totally sure if this is going to come with the arm kit or if it's something that they're going to sell separately I'll have stuff Linked In the description below and in the pin comment if so but um it's a phone clamp that will go onto this arm and so let's go ahead and put the phone on there plug the mic microphone into it and see how that behaves and so now I have the phone connected to the microphone so microphone to phone uh there's OBS I'll try to sync this all up but this is how it sounds uh directly to my phone so I'll review this and see how that sounds hopefully it sounds good but the fact that we can connect it to type-c with a to a phone iPhone Android mine's an Android um it's pretty nice and yeah it's a good feature to have on the go I it's Fadi go it's in the name so you should be able to be able to take it on the go one thing I'd like to add though is that you will need an a to c adapter I didn't see that included in the box so I happened to have one hooked it up and yeah that's what got it to work and for the sake of demonstration I'm also going to bolt a camera to this mic arm well arm just in general not just mic arm check that out now this arm is holding up a camera you could use it to hold up a microphone you can use it to hold up a phone or anything else you could really attach to it which is really awesome for its multi-function use that it presents this might end up being something that's pretty significant for an offering as an accessory from a media because it could just do so much you can probably put lights on it too so I can see people ending up with more than one of these at their desk setup just because of the flexibility you get with it and so some last words about the microphone it is an all metal construction so it feels pretty solidly built um it has a monitoring port or you can use it as a sound card so you can listen to everything through your headphones plugged into the port on this microphone you can also adjust volume of anything you're listening to through the microphone through uh uh I guess a knob on the back here I guess not really a knob but you know what I mean it's a thingy there to turn the volume up and down and that actually doesn't reflect on the computer when you move that around so you could have things playing at a different volume on the computer than you are hearing in your headset so that's actually kind of neat you could utilize that for streaming or content creation where things can run at different volumes and you have a control on the computer and a control on the microphone itself to accomplish that the microphone itself sounds pretty good it looks pretty cool I really like the way that it looks it has that touch to mute on it that you could it turns the whole light off so tells you No Light No sound then and that's pretty useful overall I think that the package of this mic and this arm is pretty awesome especially for a smaller configuration but the microphone Standalone sounds great for what it is but the arm to me is the star of the show this thing is going to steal it from me this mic arm or this boom arm or magic arm or this Universal function arm that they have um it is definitely reminiscent of the let's say the Elgato multimount I think it's better construct but it's it's awesome in the fact that you have so much flexibility with it as I've said that's again the reason that I can't stop speaking enough good of this arm is because it's so useful microphones pretty good too I'd like to know what you guys think of this combination what stands out more to you the arm or the mic can you see yourself using this microphone on the go usage with a phone or just in your normal stream setup do you think it looks cool as well what do you think of the arm I'd like to know drop a comment down below let's talk about it if you like this video you know what to do hit that subscribe button and that Bell so you don't miss a single upload also I stream to Twitch every Friday at 8m Pacific at twitch.tv/ Coalition Chris so if you want to stop by talk mics talk streaming Tech anything like that feel free to drop by stop drop by drop a follow and let's talk Tech anyways that does it for me so I will see you guys in the next video or in the next uh streama media just dropped two new products
