**A Haul Like No Other: Exploring Dollar Tree's Hidden Gems**

As I browsed through Dollar Tree's aisles, my eyes landed on some unexpected treasures that caught my attention. Among them were plain bags with a rustic, Farmhouse quality to them. These bags are not typically found in the Christmas section, but they have become one of my favorite decorative items for the holiday season.

I must say, I've never seen Dollar Tree produce bags like this before. The similarity between these two bags is uncanny, and I couldn't resist buying both to see how they would turn out as gingerbread houses. The neutral color palette and simple design make them perfect for adding a touch of whimsy to any room. I'm excited to experiment with different decorating techniques and see what kind of unique creations I can come up with.

In addition to the bags, I also picked up some smaller size ones that I plan to use as a canvas for drawing. The idea is to create a mini gingerbread house using these small bags, but I'm not sure if it will work out as planned. One thing's for certain, though – I love the way these bags look and feel, and I'm eager to explore their potential in my craft.

**A New Favorite: Pom-Pom Bows**

As a long-time fan of vintage napkins, I've been on the lookout for new ways to incorporate them into my DIY projects. Recently, I discovered some adorable pom-pom bows that have become an instant obsession. These bows come in a variety of colors and patterns, but the one I fell in love with is this beautiful pink combination.

I'm not usually a fan of pink with Christmas decor, but there's something about this particular bow that just drew me in. The way it adds a touch of femininity to any project – whether it's a scrapbook page, a card, or even a decorative item like a bag – is simply charming. I can already think of how I plan to use these bows in my upcoming DIY projects, and I'm excited to see the creative ways they'll be incorporated.

**The Chalk Pen Experiment**

Before diving into the DIY project, I wanted to test out a chalk pen that caught my eye at Dollar Tree. As it turns out, this "pen" is actually more of a chalk crayon, and while it's smooth and twistable, I'm not entirely convinced it's the best tool for the job.

Using the chalk crayon, I tried to draw some simple lines on one of the bags, but unfortunately, they didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. The chalk would smear across the surface if I rubbed too hard, which is a bit of a problem when trying to create intricate designs. On the other hand, using a paint pen would provide more precision and control, especially around detailed areas like windows.

**A Word of Caution**

If you're planning to use this chalk crayon for your DIY projects, be aware that it may not be the best choice. While it's smooth and fun to use, its limitations are quite apparent when trying to create fine details or precise lines. On the other hand, a paint pen would provide much more versatility and control.

In the end, I'm glad I got to test out this chalk crayon, even if it wasn't the best tool for the job. It's always exciting to discover new materials and techniques, and who knows – maybe one day I'll find a creative way to make this chalk crayon work its magic!

play that's all you need to know so let me just show you guys how do I want to do this because I still have everything in the bags do I just want to grab you know what let's start with some of the Decor signs because they're new they're fabulous and this is what you run to Dollar Tree for so the first one they're doing a whole plaid thing which as they should but it's so freaking cute and I love this green plaid I was just talking about this the other day but I was hoping they would use more of this like green Buffalo check and they are I think it's just so beautiful and this image is everything it makes me want to book a flight to like where is this Michigan Vermont like I don't know but I want to go there um this one I feel like it's probably gonna be the crowd favorite foreign like Dollar Tree really is stepping up their game every single year and I'm here for it I feel like this little house and even like the lights are yellow so it just makes it look like it's illuminated it's cozy in there and like I'm not even mad about this red sky it's just so pretty and it's perfect like I think any other color wouldn't have made sense they were bouncing off of the red here and that's something that I do think Dollar Tree should definitely improve upon is like their color selection and they really are improving so that's good news I also think this one's probably gonna be if not the biggest sellout of the three because if you're gonna do a little hot chocolate cocoa bar coffee like whatever it is for Christmas this is so cute and it even says or I thought it said hot cocoa bar actually there's another one in here that says it but like that's just absolutely darling I only found these three you can clearly see they're like a whole collection together I don't know if there's a fourth if there is comment and let me know then they did these which are also like matching but how is how is this a dollar 25 it honestly makes me start not thinking that oh wow a dollar 25 it's actually making me start to look at home goods and Hobby Lobby and being like don't you think that's overpriced a little bit like I I don't know I am I just kind of you know do I need to be humbled maybe there but um this one is so cute hot cocoa bar the colors are actually really pretty I really like this this kind of has like a coppery color which is so nice you guys because as I've been shopping at Dollar Tree for 22 years okay so they could have gone that like gold color which would have been nice too but they're giving us some different colors and that is so lovely these are gonna be great to style put around the house they'll even fit inside of like a big wreath you can just attach it um that way and then we have this one which is very much giving Clark Griswold look I'm even wearing my new merch shirt this is probably one of my favorites that's out and available and it is so cute it's brand new this year so if you want to get one too um it's in my Etsy Shop link down below and I love rolling up the sleeve because I love like a heathered gray how did I go from the decor signs to this I don't even know but I do love rolling it up because there's like a different color there anyways back to business so this one just like I feel like I match the sign and it's so cute here we are getting like the red glitter if you hate glitter just grab a can of hairspray just go outside spray the glitter parts and it should stick try to loosen anything like first kind of like tap it get the loose stuff off or brush it off and then spray it down and you should be good to go this one is my personal favorite the reindeer is gorgeous the font is gorgeous the warts that they're using here is so nice like they're doing fresh new stuff and I'm here for it one thousand percent it says reindeer sleigh rides five cents per ride warm blankets and hot cocoa like we just not to like really harp on this but like the phrase warm blankets I don't think Dollar Tree has ever used an assigned and I love it it's so lovely and it does really give off like that cozy factor with this sign so yeah I'm shook okay next up I actually found this in the like school supply section where they keep like the binders and the pencils and the stickers all that and so I wanted to still grab it and show you guys that if you are just going in let's say with a Christmas frame of mind or holiday frame of mind you still kind of need to go through the entire store if you can because you will find gems you never know when you're gonna find them um so there's that to consider it's very cheap flimsy plasticky but you're still getting this really beautiful Buffalo check moment this would actually be beautiful in a tiered tray so consider that you could fill it with you know honey spoons or all kinds of like decorative things for your tear tray so how to show you guys that now let's grab for this bag right here actually I'm gonna hold on to these because I think I might do a DIY in this video but we'll we'll see kind of how long everything takes okay um actually we'll look at that in a second as well let me grab for this bag so they put out some new oven mitts pot holders and the kitchen towel set this is also a fresh brand new print at least I do not remember these from last year what I love about this again is that Dollar Tree really has updated their phrases that they're using sometimes Dollar Tree can get really repetitive and stagnant in that area so we get warm blankets sleigh rides now we're getting North Pole bed and breakfast on Buffalo check it's not my particular print that I love but I know how popular it is so I like that Dollar Tree does kind of like give a pretty big variety so these are gorgeous they're also going to be great in a gift basket so scoop these up before they go and then they also have this one which is another North Pole concept but it's the North Pole tree farm so you've got the bed and breakfast very much giving us Hallmark you know what I mean but with this one I only found these two I did not find the pot holders but we know that they exist and they're out there so and in this one we're getting the red buffalo check so pretty I'm just so impressed all right next up they put out these little like Decor pieces that are wrapped in this like Garland thing I don't know what's this called what's this material called I don't even know but it is a full like a fully finished little car um so you got the tree and then what I love is the star on top is really solid it's not like a flimsy piece of plastic like the tree so the details in this is actually gorgeous it says Merry Christmas on the hood if you don't like that and you want to kind of peel it off you could you just have to be really careful and then I think it would look very chic honestly without like the merry Christmas but it looks great with it too tear tray one thousand percent so love that and then they put out the little Christmas tree now this guy has been around for a few years so has that little truck actually but they did make updates and again one of them being the star at the top this one's kind of like wiggling so I might need to like glue it down a little bit more but obsessed tear tray also these would be gorgeous as tree ornaments they're labeled as a decor but tear tray you could also put them in a wreath which are going to look gorgeous because the size is just really nice for that and then we have the little Cod winter Christmas Cottage here there's a lot of like detail that I think kind of cheapens it with just the material they used um so you could pluck off these little pieces here but again just be really careful so you're not plucking up all this like material there I just think I mean the windows look nice anyways like honestly in a tear tray it's going to look lovely I just wish they would have used maybe like a stark white instead of this like hologramy then I picked up these little pails they are so cute I love these I'm glad they come back every year I'm feeling like there's been a slight update to their design so here is the gingerbread one which is super cute as simple as the sounds I think putting candy in here would be the cutest thing and I mean like the kind of candy where you go to the mall and they have those fancy like Willy Wonka type candy stores and then you know you get the bag and you put all your candy and then you weigh it and that's how like that's how it goes that type of candy would actually look really cute in this I saw it one time I think I've talked about it and this mom went and got this little pail she filled it with candy and her daughter um like took it to a birthday party as a gift and I thought it was the cutest thing and it has like stuck with me ever since so we've got that one now they've done like the blue snowflake before and I at first I was like okay this was out last year like this particular print but I don't know if they updated the snowflakes or not kind of hard to tell you know but every year they do a blue option which is really nice you know in case you don't celebrate Christmas so there's that okay then I found these little ornaments which a couple hauls ago during DT week I showed like the little pillow things they make the same ones and these little like burlap bags but they're not real burlap it's like faux it's just kind of made to look like it it is labeled as an ornament and that is so freaking cute here is this one I absolutely adore that and then here's the swan in that previous video I remarked that this print was my favorite of like the little pillows and then here is this one another favorite of mine so cute and now anytime I see cars Micah and I have been um doing like a a binge watch of Fast and Furious um so we've watched like a movie every night and now that I see cars like I just keep thinking about some Furious that was like really random all right then I picked up the light light up LED necklace I love this thing I've been buying it pretty much every single year just to show you guys that it's back this one however looks altered and I don't think it's as good as like the original I think it's slightly smaller and there's like one green in here but regardless I just buy these because I like to wear it when I first start decorating because they would have like something that you wear when you start decorating for Christmas like that's me and it's usually this guy right here so I picked that up then I found these which shook me to my core like I did not see this coming I I about broke my damn neck as a matter of fact I pulled like because I was walking past it and I I yanked my neck and had that heat and I was like you better you better calm down but hello pillow covers and I have yet to like see what so this is like a whole unboxing so we get the gingerbread thank you to say pillow cover and then look you get the Zipper at the bottom I don't know if this is a 10 by 10 or I think it's a 12 by 12 that's what it looks like but pillow covers at Dollar Tree are you kidding me it makes me less mad about the quarter increase you know what I mean like look oh my gosh that is beautiful Dollar Tree really said we want everyone's house to be all Dollar Tree that that was what they said in their meetings I I feel like I can almost hear it now you know here is this one I've been wanting to see this one too oh the candy cane one this does not look like a dollar 25 at all this looks like Amazon quality and I should know because I buy all of my pillow covers from Amazon and then the very last one which we're getting more Buffalo check super cute it says apple cider apple cider and hot cocoa Farm Fresh that is just super cute look at that truck it's got Garland and a red bow what what I have I have what well clearly I have words this I've just I did not yeah I did not see this coming at all you better believe that every single tissue paper that I've ever collected and every single gift bag from Dollar Tree from all my years of shopping there made its way from Texas to Florida I was not gonna skimp I was not gonna get rid of them no and of course I have to add to that collection so I picked up this tissue paper it's one of my personal favorites at Dollar Tree it is the print with the Christmas trees super cute what you should know about Dollar Tree is that typically anything that has a print you get less quantity of than something that's solid so keep that in mind but I love the Christmas tree print and then I picked up these bags which I actually really like the shape and the size of them like so unique let me just show you like a standard bag like to me this is a standard bag so I really like yeah I really like the size of these they are so cute actually and the moment I saw them I definitely thought that I might use them in my junk journaling which I do think I'm gonna have my first live this Friday for Junk Journal Christmas with me so and by the way if you have not gotten your mystery kits from me don't worry I'm gonna do a live I think every Friday so you can always catch up um with me on the next one so I got that one and then I also got this one Deck the Halls and actually this these are the ones I like the most the front ones with this color combination the backboards aren't there's really nothing about them because they put they put all their money into the first one with like the foil paper so anyways got those and then of course I had to get all of the Santa bags I do not recall if these are a repeat or if they're a new print because Dollar Tree's been doing bags like these for years now but I feel like this is probably a repeat again it's hard it's hard to say so I got that one this one is a top favorite of mine it's just it's just stunning everything about it like the fact that they did like the magical Sparkles at the bottom I mean how gorgeous sleigh is I mean the lamp post the snow it's all stunning so there's that and then here is the Santa now this one strikes me as new like I just do not remember this one um I like that in this image he's at the house and he's putting the presents under the tree I think that is actually really cute a nice fresh print we've got a fireplace going on in the background with gold foil like this is a berry dice bag and then I guess I didn't realize no I thought it was a dupe but they're not you can see that they are clearly different this sleigh is a little bit further this one is a little bit closer so so cute we got the whole the whole gang of reindeers here um yeah very very pretty bag love it and then I found these these have more of like a kitty cartoony look to them but nonetheless super darling and it has a buffalo check moment I mean look at Santa's suit love that it's different from like what we'd expect him to wear so love that Santa's doing a whole Buffalo check moment and then of course we had to get the gnome so the gnome has the same suit basically Hue and then we've got the Penguins always there's always a penguin for some reason but they are and then the Snowman and this is why I always say Dollar Tree typically does things in fours all right and then I found the bigger bags again these looked very familiar I don't know if they're new or not because they definitely did something the yeah like this train and Santa like this looks like they did this last year but I'm gonna grab it again because that's how I am this train is stunning and it's a good sized bag and then we have this one which kind of looks like a painting I mean they all look like paintings but how cute I say this because Kyle has more of like a blurred effect to it which is really nice I love it I love the bright moon like that Moon looks like it's actually Shining how they do stuff like that but there's that one and this one is another personal favorite of mine so cute he's at the train stop he's got all the toys like that is just such a beautiful bag this is at Dollar Tree just in case everyone forgot what store this is from Dollar Tree like what and then here is this bag which looks to be like a larger version of let me put this one not this one um I think it was this one let's see oh my gosh it is I've never seen them do that literally the exact same bag I actually really like that I've never seen Dollar Tree do anything like that all right then I picked up these bags right here they're plain they're simple they're not in the Christmas section but they are some of my favorite bags to use during Christmas time draw on them and see if I could make them look like gingerbread houses but before we get into the DIY I'm gonna make it like the last part of this video the last two things are just these cute little Pom-Pom bows I'm obsessed with these I've been hauling them for years and years and I've been trying to tell you guys how cute these bows are now this color combination really would never have like occurred in my mind if the whole Tuesday Morning napkin thing didn't change my perspective if you watch all my hauls you know what I'm talking about but I haul these like vintage napkins for Christmas and they had this like really pretty pink thing going on with it and I never ever have liked pink with Christmas I'm very much traditional but I got these for my junk journaling so you guys will probably see me use these in this Friday's live alright that's gonna be it for today's haul I'm gonna go ahead and cue in um this little bag DIY see how well this turns out um but I hope you guys watch it but I did want to jump on here and tell you guys like what I thought about this chalk pen it's actually not a pen it's a more of a chalk crayon and I was actually very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this it's so smooth and it's like a twistable so um you just like twist it when you need more chalk now what I'll say is I would highly suggest using a paint pen here instead of using this chalk marker from Dollar Tree the only reason why I would suggest this is because if you rub across this chalk it's going to smear on the bag but if you're going to really do it from like a Decor perspective I think you should be fine using this chalk crayon um but the other reason why I would also suggest a paint pen is you're just going to get more precision as you see around that window I was trying to draw like a more intricate lines but because the pen can't like sharpen to a fine tip it's really hard to actually use this chalk crayon thing for this purpose so I would definitely highly suggest a paint pen you can get them from Amazon I'm sure Walmart places like that but the overall concept of this is actually so darling and I loved it I actually can't wait to try to recreate this with paint pens instead because with that I could actually you know really go in for like more beautiful fine detail so I was limited but aside from that just kind of keeping the chalk crayon separate from this project the chalk crayon is amazing I just wouldn't use it for this I did add some cute little red gingham ribbon to it to tie it off and that's the DIY hope you guys enjoyed and snowflakes or not kind of hard to tell you know but every year they do a blue option which is really nice you know in case you don't celebrate Christmas so there's that okay then I found these little ornaments which a couple hauls ago during DT week I showed like the little pillow things they make the same ones and these little like burlap bags but they're not real burlap it's like faux it's just kind of made to look like it it is labeled as an ornament and that is so freaking cute here is this one I absolutely adore that and then here's the swan in that previous video I remarked that this print was my favorite of like the little pillows and then here is this one another favorite of mine so cute and now anytime I see cars Micah and I have been um doing like a a binge watch of Fast and Furious um so we've watched like a movie every night and now that I see cars like I just keep thinking about some Furious that was like really random all right then I picked up the light light up LED necklace I love this thing I've been buying it pretty much every single year just to show you guys that it's back this one however looks altered and I don't think it's as good as like the original I think it's slightly smaller and there's like one green in here but regardless I just buy these because I like to wear it when I first start decorating because they would have like something that you wear when you start decorating for Christmas like that's me and it's usually this guy right here so I picked that up then I found these which shook me to my core like I did not see this coming I I about broke my damn neck as a matter of fact I pulled like because I was walking past it and I I yanked my neck and had that heat and I was like you better you better calm down but hello pillow covers and I have yet to like see what so this is like a whole unboxing so we get the gingerbread thank you to say pillow cover and then look you get the Zipper at the bottom I don't know if this is a 10 by 10 or I think it's a 12 by 12 that's what it looks like but pillow covers at Dollar Tree are you kidding me it makes me less mad about the quarter increase you know what I mean like look oh my gosh that is beautiful Dollar Tree really said we want everyone's house to be all Dollar Tree that that was what they said in their meetings I I feel like I can almost hear it now you know here is this one I've been wanting to see this one too oh the candy cane one this does not look like a dollar 25 at all this looks like Amazon quality and I should know because I buy all of my pillow covers from Amazon and then the very last one which we're getting more Buffalo check super cute it says apple cider apple cider and hot cocoa Farm Fresh that is just super cute look at that truck it's got Garland and a red bow what what I have I have what well clearly I have words this I've just I did not yeah I did not see this coming at all you better believe that every single tissue paper that I've ever collected and every single gift bag from Dollar Tree from all my years of shopping there made its way from Texas to Florida I was not gonna skimp I was not gonna get rid of them no and of course I have to add to that collection so I picked up this tissue paper it's one of my personal favorites at Dollar Tree it is the print with the Christmas trees super cute what you should know about Dollar Tree is that typically anything that has a print you get less quantity of than something that's solid so keep that in mind but I love the Christmas tree print and then I picked up these bags which I actually really like the shape and the size of them like so unique let me just show you like a standard bag like to me this is a standard bag so I really like yeah I really like the size of these they are so cute actually and the moment I saw them I definitely thought that I might use them in my junk journaling which I do think I'm gonna have my first live this Friday for Junk Journal Christmas with me so and by the way if you have not gotten your mystery kits from me don't worry I'm gonna do a live I think every Friday so you can always catch up um with me on the next one so I got that one and then I also got this one Deck the Halls and actually this these are the ones I like the most the front ones with this color combination the backboards aren't there's really nothing about them because they put they put all their money into the first one with like the foil paper so anyways got those and then of course I had to get all of the Santa bags I do not recall if these are a repeat or if they're a new print because Dollar Tree's been doing bags like these for years now but I feel like this is probably a repeat again it's hard it's hard to say so I got that one this one is a top favorite of mine it's just it's just stunning everything about it like the fact that they did like the magical Sparkles at the bottom I mean how gorgeous sleigh is I mean the lamp post the snow it's all stunning so there's that and then here is the Santa now this one strikes me as new like I just do not remember this one um I like that in this image he's at the house and he's putting the presents under the tree I think that is actually really cute a nice fresh print we've got a fireplace going on in the background with gold foil like this is a berry dice bag and then I guess I didn't realize no I thought it was a dupe but they're not you can see that they are clearly different this sleigh is a little bit further this one is a little bit closer so so cute we got the whole the whole gang of reindeers here um yeah very very pretty bag love it and then I found these these have more of like a kitty cartoony look to them but nonetheless super darling and it has a buffalo check moment I mean look at Santa's suit love that it's different from like what we'd expect him to wear so love that Santa's doing a whole Buffalo check moment and then of course we had to get the gnome so the gnome has the same suit basically Hue and then we've got the Penguins always there's always a penguin for some reason but they are and then the Snowman and this is why I always say Dollar Tree typically does things in fours all right and then I found the bigger bags again these looked very familiar I don't know if they're new or not because they definitely did something the yeah like this train and Santa like this looks like they did this last year but I'm gonna grab it again because that's how I am this train is stunning and it's a good sized bag and then we have this one which kind of looks like a painting I mean they all look like paintings but how cute I say this because Kyle has more of like a blurred effect to it which is really nice I love it I love the bright moon like that Moon looks like it's actually Shining how they do stuff like that but there's that one and this one is another personal favorite of mine so cute he's at the train stop he's got all the toys like that is just such a beautiful bag this is at Dollar Tree just in case everyone forgot what store this is from Dollar Tree like what and then here is this bag which looks to be like a larger version of let me put this one not this one um I think it was this one let's see oh my gosh it is I've never seen them do that literally the exact same bag I actually really like that I've never seen Dollar Tree do anything like that all right then I picked up these bags right here they're plain they're simple they're not in the Christmas section but they are some of my favorite bags to use during Christmas time they just have such a rustic Farmhouse quality to them um very neutral like that's your thing you could also Spruce it up with tissue you know and and really change the look of this um but I wanted to kind of uh turn them into gingerbread houses so we'll see how it works I did grab a chalk pen I'm wondering how the chalk pen will work on the bag if not I do have a paint pen so we'll see we'll see if the chalk pen actually works on here if so I'll probably insert that in the text in the next clip when we do the DIY um but or yeah so anyways I also got the smaller size I just wanted to kind of draw on them and see if I could make them look like gingerbread houses but before we get into the DIY I'm gonna make it like the last part of this video the last two things are just these cute little Pom-Pom bows I'm obsessed with these I've been hauling them for years and years and I've been trying to tell you guys how cute these bows are now this color combination really would never have like occurred in my mind if the whole Tuesday Morning napkin thing didn't change my perspective if you watch all my hauls you know what I'm talking about but I haul these like vintage napkins for Christmas and they had this like really pretty pink thing going on with it and I never ever have liked pink with Christmas I'm very much traditional but I got these for my junk journaling so you guys will probably see me use these in this Friday's live alright that's gonna be it for today's haul I'm gonna go ahead and cue in um this little bag DIY see how well this turns out um but I hope you guys watch it but I did want to jump on here and tell you guys like what I thought about this chalk pen it's actually not a pen it's a more of a chalk crayon and I was actually very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this it's so smooth and it's like a twistable so um you just like twist it when you need more chalk now what I'll say is I would highly suggest using a paint pen here instead of using this chalk marker from Dollar Tree the only reason why I would suggest this is because if you rub across this chalk it's going to smear on the bag but if you're going to really do it from like a Decor perspective I think you should be fine using this chalk crayon um but the other reason why I would also suggest a paint pen is you're just going to get more precision as you see around that window I was trying to draw like a more intricate lines but because the pen can't like sharpen to a fine tip it's really hard to actually use this chalk crayon thing for this purpose so I would definitely highly suggest a paint pen you can get them from Amazon I'm sure Walmart places like that but the overall concept of this is actually so darling and I loved it I actually can't wait to try to recreate this with paint pens instead because with that I could actually you know really go in for like more beautiful fine detail so I was limited but aside from that just kind of keeping the chalk crayon separate from this project the chalk crayon is amazing I just wouldn't use it for this I did add some cute little red gingham ribbon to it to tie it off and that's the DIY hope you guys enjoyed and
