Driving THE Lancia Fulvia 1600HF Fanalone Group 4 Rally Car from Gran Turismo !

**A Rally Car Like No Other**

I'm standing in front of what can only be described as a beast of a car, a true rally machine that's been meticulously crafted to deliver a driving experience like no other. This car is a full FIA-approved rally spec, with every expense spared and not a single detail overlooked. It's a testament to the dedication of its owners, who have ensured that every aspect of this vehicle is up to the highest standards.

As I examine the car more closely, I can see the attention to detail that has gone into its construction. Every nut and bolt, every wire and hose, has been carefully selected and fitted to ensure optimal performance. The interior is equally impressive, with a bespoke harness, extinguisher, spare wheel, and helmet all in place, ready for the next event. This is a car that's designed to be competitive, and it shows.

The owner of this magnificent machine has shared its story with me, telling me how it was once an eight-valve road car, before being converted into a full-fledged rally car. The result is a car that's been honed to perfection, with every aspect optimized for speed and agility on the track. From the sound system, which produces a deafening roar when the turbo kicks in, to the specially designed bath cages, this car is a true marvel.

As we prepare to take the car out for a spin, I can feel my excitement building. This is going to be an experience unlike any other, and I'm honored to have the chance to drive such a legendary machine. The event that our group has organized is not just about driving fast cars, but about creating an immersive experience that transports us into the world of rallying. And with this car at its heart, we're guaranteed an unforgettable ride.

As we head out to the track, I'm filled with a sense of anticipation. This is going to be a drive like no other, one that will push me to my limits and beyond. The car is ready, the crew is in place, and all we need is for me to get behind the wheel and unleash its full fury upon the track. With a final check of the car's systems, I'm clear to go.

The moment I press the accelerator, the sound system erupts into a cacophony of noise that's both beautiful and terrifying. The boost kicks in, and this is when things get really interesting. It's like holding on for dear life as the car hurtles down the track, the speedometer climbing ever higher with every passing second. This is what it means to be in a rally car, where every ounce of speed counts and every moment is a thrill.

**The Story Behind the Car**

So, who are the people behind this incredible machine? The owner, Ellis, has been involved in rallying for many years and has always had a passion for these amazing cars. He's traveled far and wide to acquire the best parts and expertise, and it shows in every aspect of this car.

One of the most interesting aspects of this car is its history. It was once an eight-valve road car, but was converted into a full-fledged rally car as part of Ellis's racing program. The result is a car that's both familiar and yet utterly alien, like a second home that I've never had before.

As we drive, the scenery unfolds like a movie screen, with picturesque villages, rolling hills, and stunning mountain ranges all blending together in a kaleidoscope of color and texture. It's an experience unlike any other, one that puts you fully immersed in the world of rallying.

The crew is equally impressive, with every detail meticulously planned and executed to ensure the car runs smoothly and efficiently. From the fueling system to the suspension settings, nothing has been overlooked in the quest for perfection.

**A Driver's Perspective**

As I take the wheel, I can feel the weight of history behind me. This is a driver's car like no other, one that demands precision, skill, and sheer courage from its pilot. The boost kicks in, and this is when things get really interesting. It's like being part of something special, something that transcends the ordinary.

I love the sound system, which produces a deafening roar when the turbo kicks in. But I also appreciate the subtle nuances of the car's performance, the way it responds to every input from me. This is a true masterpiece, one that I'm honored to have had the chance to drive.

The track is a serpentine mix of fast corners and slow hairpins, designed to push the car – and its driver – to their limits. It's an experience unlike any other, one that combines speed, agility, and sheer exhilaration into a single, thrilling package.

As I drive, I feel like I'm part of something special, something that transcends the ordinary. This is what it means to be in a rally car, where every ounce of skill counts and every moment is a thrill. It's an experience unlike any other, one that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

**The Legacy Lives On**

As I drive away from the track, I know that this car will live on long after we're gone. It's a testament to the dedication and expertise of its owners, who have created something truly special in this magnificent machine. This is more than just a car – it's an experience, a way of life.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to drive such an incredible machine, and I know that the memories of this day will stay with me forever. As I look back at the track, I can see the car disappearing into the distance, its engine roaring like a beast as it hurtles towards the horizon. It's a moment I'll never forget, one that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enoh yes hey guys and welcome to petrol pet now a couple of weeks ago on the channel i drove atlantia delta integrale and i mentioned my mate ellis and i might have said that ellis was pretty keen on integrales well he's invited me along today to integrale heaven because ellis along with his good friend keith run auto mode perhaps the uk's largest seller of integrale is the best specialist and actually arguably even one of the world's largest sellers of integrales and keith also runs auto integrale and he basically does all the spannering the prepping and the maintenance of the cars and in this little garage we have some unbelievable cars just to give you an idea by the way these two here they are both for sale actually but they're very very special limited edition cars and the kind of money you're looking at now for a really good integrale like that you can easily be paying 80 000 pounds now we're not here today to drive a road-going integrale beautiful as these are and actually ellis's own giallo limited edition is literally just parked over there and looking beautiful but i couldn't be here and not show you ellis's rally car because it's parked just here this thing sensational yep here it is how stunning is this car now then this isn't a works car by the way if a works integrale you're probably looking at i know 400 000 quid or maybe even more depending on its provenance this was originally a road car and then converted into a rally car but it's been done really really well just to give you an idea by the way these iconic martini livery stripes they're not decals that is paint these have been hand painted on and then all the decals the other the martini stuff that's they are all stickers but it is just a beautiful beautiful thing it's been prepared so well inside is just brilliant and it has this it has this rally car smell in there a kind of mix of oil and petrol and just testosterone it's just fantastic absolutely stunning stunning vehicle now this you're probably looking at i don't know a hundred grand plus for this car it is beautiful it sounds amazing and you never know at the end of this video i might even take this out for a quick spin because ellis has said i can drive it and well if you've got an opportunity to drive that well you would wouldn't you but that's not the main purpose of you being here the car i'm actually here to drive is parked just there and it is a classic italian rally car with a very very special story any of you guys play gran turismo you'll be interested in this then yes this stunning little thing is a 1971 lancia fulvia fanaloni now one of the things i love about italian is fanaloni what an amazing sounding word what that actually means if you literally translate it is big headlamps so this is a limited edition car i think they only made about 2000 of them but yeah it's not that's that's the trademark feature if you like but it is a beautiful car but the reason i mentioned gran turismo is this car was very recently used by sony um to go into the gran turismo game and they took the car away they did a full 3d render of the car they then took it to a rolling road and fully mapped the the if you like the output of the car so that they could put that into the game to make driving the car as realistic as possible so if you're on gran turismo and you're driving the lancia fulvia fanaloni you're actually driving this very car but it's just beautiful and i really love this car and although keith wasn't very impressed when i mentioned this this morning because in the series first series of vintage voltage we actually took a lancia fulvia and electrified it somehow i don't think we would electrify this one because it's very special but have a look inside inside is just lovely this is stunning first things first it is tiny but it's just so cool in here the the instruments there's nothing on there that hasn't got a function and the steering wheel and the way the the gear levers just there these cool bucket seats it's utterly wicked in here and i can't wait to drive it um now let's have a quick look underneath the bonnet because whenever i do cars like this if i don't show the engine people get the hump and then as soon as we've had a look underneath the bonnet we will uh take this car up the road for a bit of a spin before the weather comes in and it starts to rain very cool yes under here is something very very special but it's quite tricky to get this bonnet open it's got bonnet pins which i've released here we go so this is a little 1.6 liter it's got twin webers it's got a group four uh manifold and the fan alones were uh known for having this uh yellow and blue um engine cover there and they took this up from about 115 horsepower to 164 horsepower which back in the day was a lot but i can't wait to hear what this car is like when it's out and about driving because i just with the webers and the kind of rally exhaust it's just gonna sound brilliant and go brilliant so let's get some cameras set up and take this up the road and have a drive of a 1971 lancia fulvia fan alone ready here we are again well welcome to the channel again you're maybe one of my most regular contributors my friend okay because you've got so many bloody lovely cars this thing is a proper special car it is it's lovely and i i although it's tiny in here i am amazed at how much leg room i've got it's actually a really good rally in this well i think suits yeah we'll have a chat after that's right right how do we turn it on ignition pump there yeah starter to the left first that's why i'm back oh is it doubling yeah oh cool and it breaks off fly off is it off ready yeah so then tell me about this car mate because it is it is a proper special car firstly it's a year older than me so this is a group four no power steering 1600 hf fan alone uh it's full rally spec even at slow speed you can feel how special this car is the it's a beautiful car it's the attention to detail with everything yeah um it's one of the best that i've come across yeah and um so this car has been rallied it has got all the monte carlo rally uh it has it's got a uh it's a fully log book car it's it's uh he's got an msa log work he's got a historic passport and it well straight off the bat it drives lovely it's not you know the clutch is nice the obviously i'm on the left-hand side of the car as she should be as i should be basically all the cars in your carriage oh look there's another integrale there so tell us about it tell us about the um the tyre with sony and uh anterisma because that's just the coolest thing ever so we were contacted by sony all good yep uh for the new gran turismo 5 game uh they had a look at the car and then took it away had it for a couple of weeks did all the rendering shots for it and then it went from there to a purpose main dyno where they did all the engine noises and the whole driving experience of the car i think the cool thing about that is you when you drive one of these cars in a computer game you just assume that someone's just i don't know guessed it more but it's an actual recreation of this car is everywhere this car yeah this actual car so the the way the throttle feels the way the brakes feel where the gears are the performance in each gear i think that's amazing it is and um they had the car for about two weeks while they went through all of this yeah and that's what they do with every car yeah probably in more detail yeah it feels really lightweight and nimble and i know that's what they were famed for that kind of fame for that that lightweight agility i um i've not had the experience of driving one of these on a rally stage um or or a track but um i've been a passenger in one good friend of ours and he's got one yeah it doesn't like it it doesn't like being driven sedately this this is an amazing car it's got it's got good history um you can go and do a lot of historic events it will be very welcome at a lot of historic events um sadly it's for sale but we're happy to keep hold of it and um until the right the right fire will come along yeah it was all lovely and clean she just almost needs a throat clearing yeah what a beautiful thing lovely steering once you go and obviously very heavy slow down low down because there's no power assistance but it's very precise yeah it's really lovely one of these cars you really need to have a really good long drive off and get to know lots of quirks but once you get a nice bit of open flowing roads really cool these cars every time i drive a car like this it gets very emotional because it's just you just you can feel the history you can smell the history they're just brilliant things aren't they it is so back in the garage is your rally car it is so while they're up here and i'm up here i think you need to have a driver there oh really is that honestly the last um so you've driven i drove the last the last one yes on this road yes and that left quite an impression this one's a different element it's we've learned a lot um i've learned a lot what i liked about it what i didn't like and we've made some changes it's a new car yeah right so all right we have back we've swapped cars so we're back at auto mode what a beautiful little car that is really stunning the thing is when you drive these older cars every noise every bang and clunk you're like oh is that okay and it is okay because that's just how they were and i'm sure with more seat time it's certainly one of these cars that it really you need it up on cam it needs to be up above about 4000 rpm it will easily rev up to 7000 rpm but it's not my car i don't know it i know it's a very very valuable car that's like about 95 000 quids worth a car that is properly properly special probably one of the best examples not just in the uk but there is it's just stunning but we are now going to pop out in ellis's rally car this is very very loud it's just had a new exhaust on it so it's even louder than the last time i saw it but it's a beautiful beautiful thing um and you know if you think about the integrale i drove a couple of weeks ago that track car that was a you know a beautiful little thing sounded amazing but that this is a no holds barred almost perfect rally car every expense has been has been met and paid and it is beautiful and i cannot wait to drive it so it does need some fuel so we need to drive it to the petrol station first but then i'm finally going to get to drive alice's rally car okay here we are now this is quite a thing this is a proper proper relic this does just i i am i am mickey piazzio or you ha oh my god i love science you just you can smell it and feel it in it exceptional this is a full fia approved rally spec everything it's ready to go everything's in date seats harnesses extinguishers spare wheel in the back yep helmet and hands device in the back everything just needs your overalls and your gloves and off you're going don't don't tempt me wow what a thing so where on earth do you go to start this thing yeah um kill switch yeah so just that one no red switch to the left lift it out i'll switch it on for you yeah ready that's it and press start bomb oh my god normal gearbox in this oh mate okay this is ridiculous in the best possible way so tell me about this car my friend because this is proper special so you've been in a few of these now i have and i've been in your old rally car you have which was incredible but this is like next level yeah so we've um got rehomed and this one was born so this started out as a as an eight valve road car and was converted to a rally car it's been a bit of oh time oh yes he's already in it it's ready to go nice proper ladies oh my god that's unbelievable i thought that was the other week sounded good i was just playing yeah that wasn't that was just a oh my god so the events we do with this is we go to italy we go out to spain when we're committed and the louder the better i love it which way we go uh we'll go left put some fuel in oh my god if you like we'll do the same oh yeah do the fovea room okay go go go jesus that is ridiculous mate when that turbo kicks in that's amazing oh dear me what are you doing to me man where do i buy one i need to sell a few kidneys first and i love the fact it's got a bath cages it has the light the last car it was all our bath cages yeah this one turned up a stack and we we decided to stick with it it does a bit more we found it quite useful this is a nice bit of road to see oh yes wow that's the coolest car i've ever driven that is amazing you say that and all the videos no well i know but i keep driving better and better cars and normally it's you that gets me into them oh you're kidding me oh man i like that that's just awesome oh this thing is bloody awesome jesus ah you are kidding me he's enjoying that oh my days we are back in one piece that that's a sensational car um i'm actually quite lost for words i've never been in a car that has so much boost when that comes on boost it is literally a case of hold on tight and the noise it makes and the theater and and the specialness of the car it's just unbelievable it's made my year driving that i have to say but um you know we've come you know we were just saying how we've kind of driven two amazing lancia rally cars the little fulvia there 160 odd horsepower this four wheel drive 370 horsepower but both great in their own way now i have to say a massive thank you to ellis and to keith
