The Ultimate Gaming Setup 2.0: A Journey to Perfection
Hey guys, this is Austin, and I'm excited to introduce you to my latest gaming setup, The Ultimate Gaming Setup 2.0. I want to start by thanking LG for sponsoring this video and allowing me to build an awesome setup with their new SJ9 Sound Bar. As someone who's always on the lookout for ways to enhance my gaming experience without disturbing those around me, I've found that soundbars are a great solution.
The star of the show is, of course, the new SJ9 Sound Bar. I have to say, I was impressed by its size and weight – it's a lot bigger than I expected! But what really caught my attention was the top-firing speakers for Atmos support. The idea behind this feature is that it not only sends sound at you but also bounces sound off the ceiling to give you a more immersive surround sound experience. I'm excited to see how well this works in real life.
As I carefully measured the sound bar, I realized that it was designed to be exactly the same width as my TV stand and TV itself. This means that not only will it look sleek and modern, but it'll also provide the perfect fit for my setup. And speaking of my setup, I've got a few surprises in store for you.
First up, we have our 55-inch LG E6 OLED TV. This is an incredible piece of technology – the OLED display is seriously stunning, and completely puts everything else to shame. But what really gets me excited is that it's paired with the SJ9 Sound Bar, which I've been eager to test out. With its subwoofer and five full-bandwidth channels, I'm confident that we're going to experience some truly immersive audio.
One of the things that I love about this setup is the way everything comes together seamlessly. The TV is connected to my PS4 Pro via HDMI, which allows me to control everything from one spot – including the sound bar itself. And with the soundbar's wireless subwoofer, we've got a clean and clutter-free look going on.
As you can see, Savage Kenny has been hard at work building this setup, and I'm impressed by the attention to detail. From the Waifus to the Pipboy action figures, it's clear that he's put his heart and soul into creating an epic gaming station. And of course, no gaming setup would be complete without a few nods to my love of Nintendo – we've got the NES Classic and Game Boy Color on display.
Now, I know what you're thinking – what about all this cool stuff on the side? Well, let me tell you, it's just for show. The real magic happens inside the console, where everything comes together in perfect harmony. And speaking of harmony, I've got to say that the subwoofer is seriously impressive.
As I play around with my Xbox One at 1080p, I'm blown away by the sound quality. It's like listening to a movie theater – the bass is incredible, and it really adds depth to the audio experience. But let me tell you, this setup isn't without its challenges. As I discovered when I turned up the volume too high, it can get pretty loud – fast.
So there you have it, guys – my Ultimate Gaming Setup 2.0. It's been a labor of love, but I'm thrilled with how everything has come together. And as always, I want to thank LG for sponsoring this video and helping me create an epic gaming station that's sure to impress.
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enHey guys, this is Austin, and this isThe Ultimate Gaming Setup 2.0.So, big shout out to LGfor sponsoring this videoand letting us build this awesome setup. The star of the show isthe new SJ9 Sound Bar.I end up using soundbars a lot, not only formy personal setup, but here in the office. The big reason for thatis that while my fullsurround sound systemsounds nice, I don't know.I'm always a little bitnervous about like, annoyingmy neighbors about stuff, whereas with a sound bar,I actually feel a lot betterabout being able to justcrank the volume and nothave to worry about it.This is a lot bigger thanstuff I usually unbox. We've got the remote, and the sound bar.So Ken measured this andthe sound bar should bepretty much the exactwidth of not only the TV,but the stand. After looking at thisgiant box, I was expectingthe sound bar to be bigger. What's cool about this,is it actually has sometop firing speakers for Atmos support.I'm not totally sure how well this spaceis going to work with Atmos. The idea is that to geta little bit more ofa surround sound feel, and not only is it sending sound at you,but it's also bouncingsound off of the ceiling, which in theory shouldgive you a much moresurround sound. This is actually a lotthinner than I thoughtit was going to be.So, (laughs) will it actually fit?Looks like it's gonna be close.Oh! All right, you know what?Props to Ken, this actuallyfits literally perfectly. It actually touches bothedges, but it doesn't go over. That's actually pretty cool.We also have in the middleof this, a subwoofer, which is not small. All right, so that wholething about not being ableto annoy the neighbors.I take it back. All right. So I may have slightlymisjudged how big this was.It still should fit with the setup though. So, we're actually gonna bedoing some interesting stuffbeyond just the soundpart of our gaming setup. So Ken has spent the lastcouple days building this.So essentially it's a way ofgetting the TV off the tableand actually floating. So not only does thatmean that we have plentyof clearance for ourspeaker, but because ofthis cool design of havinga couple pieces of woodhere with the mount, wecan actually also just movethe TV easily. So the setup is actuallystarting to come together, but we have a lot ofwork to do, as you mightbe able to tell. So, montage time!(electronic music)So after a frantic afternoonof work, we have the setup, and it actually looks pretty good. So, there's a lot going on here. But to start, we actually have the TV.Paired with the SJ9 SoundBar is a 55 inch LG E6 TV.So not only is this OLED, butit also supports 4K and HDR.Almost more importantthan resolution though,is that OLED display.Seriously, a good OLEDTV looks so, so good.Completely puts everything else to shame. But, paired with theSJ9 I'm excited to see, more importantly hear, what it sounds like.- Hey guys, it's Austin. My voice might be gone, but what isn't isthe MacBook Air.Why does this still exist in 2017?- All right, that actuallysounds pretty good.So the SJ9, not only arewe getting that subwoofer, which is way, way biggerthan I had thought, but we also have the speakersinside here that gives itthe 5.1 surround, and thetwo top firing speakers. So the way we've got thisset up is that we havethe PS4 Pro connected to the TV,so we're getting full 4KHDR there, and then the TVis passing audio into the SJ9 via HDMI.That means that not onlycan we control everythingfrom one spot, but we're also gettingthe best audio quality. What's cool about this setup is thatthe actual subwoofer itself is wireless. So besides needing to plug it in, this isa nice, clean setup. And, speaking of the setup,as you can see Savage Kennyhas been hard at work. So, not only do we have Waifus, but we also have cool stuff too.So we've got our Pipboy action, more Waifus because, this is Ken's setup.Sometimes I have to dealwith Waifus in order to get areally cool setup.I feel that's a pretty fair trade. We also have our shelffull of Nintendo stuff, including the NES Classic, the Game Boy Colorthat I unboxed a couple years ago,as well as the Famicom, which is actually somethingwe did a video on and never posted. And on this side, we have anotherslightly more adorableWaifu, some Lego stuff, thanks to Jimmy, we gota Delorean, PS3, Xbox. It's a cool setup, but allthis stuff on the side,is just for show. What really counts is whatwe have inside the console. If you're wondering why I'm standing,it's because there wasa certain malfunctionwith the couch, andit's now in eight piecesright beside Ken.Wa-wa-wa.That sub is actually scaringme a little bit right now.I feel like this is aboutto actually be loud.(laughs)Yo!That sounds stupid. Can you even hear me right now?Okay, so this is actually really loud.(laughs)That sub has such a punch.I've never heard a soundbar sound like this.I am 100% surprised. You know what it sounds like, especially with that bass? This is gonna sound likea really weird comparison,it sounds like listeningto a movie theater.Like it has that huge just punch.Okay, so we didn't quite have time to geteverything wired up yet.Even playing on the Xbox Oneat 1080o it looks nice.It does sound good too.- A few moments later.- The neighbors literally just knocked.(laughs)All right, I'll turn itdown, I'll turn it down.I just love the story of this video. We started out by sayingI like using sound barsbecause they don't annoy the neighbors. Then it got really loudand annoyed the neighbors, and now we got complaints.(laughs)Little tip guys, don'tcrank your sound barup to 100% volume whenyou're doing a video.(laughs)To be fair, that tellsyou that it actuallyis really loud.In case you were doubting me, it's, that'spretty good proof.
