Using Apple Card with Apple Pay
When using Apple Card, you can choose to select it as your default payment method on any device that accepts contactless payments, such as an iPhone or Mac. This means that if you make a purchase online on your phone, through an app, or in-store with your wallet, the transaction will be charged to your Apple Card by default. However, you can always change this default payment method to another option, such as Apple Cash or another credit card.
Apple Pay and Apple Card Offer Multiple Payment Options
If you want to use a specific device or payment method for a particular transaction, you can choose to select that instead of using your Apple Card as the default. This means that if you're shopping at a store, you can choose to pay with cash, another credit card, or Apple Pay on a different device. You can also change the default payment method later by going into your wallet app and selecting a new option.
Multiple Card Numbers for Security
Apple Card actually has three different card numbers: one tied to your device when you use Apple Pay, another number tied to the actual physical Apple Card that you'll receive, and a third number used when making online purchases. This means that even if someone were to steal or obtain your physical Apple Card, they would not be able to use it for online transactions because the card numbers are not linked.
Stolen or Compromised Card Number? No Problem
If your card number gets stolen or compromised while using Apple Pay or making an online purchase, don't worry! Simply tap on the ellipsis inside of your Apple Card in the Wallet app and select "Card Information". From there, you can request a new card number, which will be automatically generated and sent to you. This means that even if someone were to obtain your physical Apple Card or use it for online transactions, they would not be able to make any purchases because the new card number would replace the old one.
Contacting Apple for Help
If you need to contact Apple for help with your Apple Card, don't worry – it's easy! Apple actually offers business chat support through their website and app. This means that you can message Apple directly from your phone or computer without having to call them. Simply tap on the Messages tab in the Wallet app and start a conversation with Apple.
Managing Your Apple Card Payment Schedule
One of the best features of Apple Card is its automated payment system. If you don't want to manually log into your account every month to make payments, you can set up automatic payments through the card information page. Simply choose how much you want to pay each month, whether it's your entire balance or a specific amount, and select the frequency at which you'd like to make payments (e.g., daily, weekly, etc.). You can also schedule payments in advance to ensure that your bill is paid on time.
Cashback Rewards with Apple Card
Finally, one of the best ways to maximize your rewards with Apple Card is to take advantage of their cashback program. When you use the physical titanium card, you earn 1% cashback on your purchases. However, if you make purchases through Apple Pay or use Apple Card for online transactions, you can earn up to 3% cashback in certain cases! This means that if you move any subscriptions or purchases through the App Store or iTunes to your Apple Card, you'll earn an additional 2-3% cashback on those transactions. By doing so, you can maximize your daily cash rewards and make the most of your Apple Card.
