**In-Depth Review of the Philips Velo L1 Headphones**
The Philips Velo L1 headphones had to remove them for about 5 minutes to cool down my ears so if you have issues like that I would recommend two to three hours of usage at tops and then removing them and giving yourself a break giving the headphones a break would be a good idea. They also come with a soft cloth bag which is almost velvety and can be used to clean your headphones as well but essentially meant to keep your headphones away from dust.
The inside of the headphones features 40 mm drivers that are equipped with neodymium magnets, ensuring that you will get good quality sound from the headphones. This is a good deal considering the price. The back of the headphones has a ventilated cap that allows for better Acoustics and allows audio to come out. It also shows accuracy of music quality from your headphones, which helps in reducing the Base levels in the headphones as well.
The Philips Velo L1 headphones have laser-edged size markings going up to six, giving you an idea of what your size is so that every time you do open or start to use these headphones, you can bring it up to your size and then simply put it on your head. As for the price and value for money, these are the most handsome looking headphones that we've seen in terms of audio performance. They're absolutely wonderful.
They have accurate audio with nice levels of low and mid-highs, but the fact that bass is not overly exaggerated makes them sound really accurate and nice. However, they are not the best headphones that you can buy in this price range. There are many other options available, including Beats by Dre, which may be more appealing to some people due to their image. Philips has announced plans to bring these headphones to India by December for a price tag of around 15,000.
For those who want to listen to them before buying, the headphones will be on display at a Philips showroom. One thing that is worth noting about the Philips Velo L1 headphones is that they may not be ideal for use in quiet environments with multiple people due to their audio leakage. They are more suitable for use at home or on an airplane.
Overall, while the Philips Velo L1 headphones have some drawbacks, they offer a unique sound quality and design that makes them stand out from other options in this price range.

our unboxing video on our Channel on YouTube now these headphones cost about $299 in the US about 15,000 rupees when they're going to be available in India later next month and about €299 in the Europe region and also about 249 British pound in the UK region now for the price uh these headphones uh deliver quite a lot of excitement or quite a lot of energy when you're using them uh they're also not really comparable uh to the likes of Sennheiser or even Beats by Dre because this is a completely different set of headphones let's talk about the build quality of uh the headphones and the design now these are one of the most nice looking headphones that we've seen for this price range uh they have this classy look with metal and leather which is been combined to give it a really nice retro looking feel but they're also modern in their design uh you have this open mesh that allows you a lot of acoustic balancing with allowing uh the drivers to throw out the excessive air that builds inside the earpiece of the headphones uh the metal is actually aluminum composite and it's really nice hardened it's really flexible and it'll last you a really long time on the inside over here you have uh coiled cables that allow you to stretch and open and close the headphones according to your size without interference from the cable itself allowing for a long lasting cable finish and allowing you a better construction quality from the headphones itself now all the connectors on the headphones are really nice aluminum connectors along with goldplated tips uh the 3.5 mm connector is a small cable that comes out of the left side of the headphones now you get two additional cables uh that are both 1.5 M cables uh that allow you to add a iPhone style or iPod style or any I device style controllers onto your headphones so you get volume controls along with the center selection button and you also have an inline microphone for taking or making calls or even using the headphones during Skype so that is something really useful for an iOS device user if you use an iPad an iPhone or even the new generation MacBook Pro 13in that has a single port uh you can use these headphones that allow you to use mic and audio similarly you also get an additional cable uh which is a standard 3.5 mm cable without the microphone this will not give you any sort of controls on your headphones but it can be used as an extension cable uh the good thing about it is that you can attach both of these cables uh to make a longer cable but that will only be useful for headphones audio or audio out if you want to use the microphone on uh the iOS cable you'll have to attach the non-control cable first and then attach the control cable that will essentially defeat the purpose of being able to use a microphone on the headphones both these cables are fabric lined and are sort of anti-tangle uh they're easily removed from any sort of tangle that they get into so it shouldn't be a big issue uh using these cables at all you also get a 6.5 mm expansion nut uh this can be quickly attached onto your headphones or on onto any adapter that you might have uh this is also nicely goldplated with really good quality and uh should ensure tight connections because it's really accurately made the headphones themselves have uh this leather headband which is stitched leather it also has a subtle Phillips logo on uh the top of the headband it's not really prominent it's not a very showy uh logo but you do have a Phillips logo on the top here you have this really nice kind of retro rough looking uh leather which is in brown color looks really nice and on the inside you have a soft memory foam a headband along with a leather wrapped cover which is a softer much more comfortable leather the same kind of leather and a memory foam is used in the ear cups as well and uh both of them are really soft uh they have the tendency to uh uh come back into shape so you can use them for prolonged periods without worrying about them losing shape or uh their puffiness going down so that's absolutely wonderful uh using them over prolonged periods if you feel that the headphones get hot I use them over 2 to 3 hours without any discomfort but after that it started to get uncomfortable and I had to remove them for about 5 minutes to cool down my ears so if you have issues like that I would recommend two to three hours of usage at tops and then removing them and giving yourself a break giving the headphones a break would be a good idea on the inside of the headphones you have uh 40 mm drivers they are neodymium magnets as well so it is ensured that you will get good quality sound from the headphones uh which is a good deal uh now on the back of the headphones you have this ventilated cap that allows for better Acoustics it allows for audio to come out what it also does is it shows accuracy of music quality uh from your headphones uh it also reduces the base in the headphones as well so don't expect really really low levels of Base really impactful deep base uh because of the fact that audio is leveled out allowing air to leak out as some headphones exaggerate the base in the music these headphones will not do that this is more an uh exclusive acoustic sounding or acoustic quality balancing headphones so the music the way it was you'll get the right amount of Base uh increasing it in your audio device will improve Bas if you want deeper base but you will still not get the Deep levels of Base that you would get from an AKG headphone for example the size modification band also has the addition number and the serial number of the headphones and you also have laser edged uh size markings for 0 1 2 3 4 5 up to six uh giving you an idea of uh what your size is so that every time you do open or start to use these headphones you can bring it up to your size and uh then simply put it on your head as far as the price and value for money goes uh these are the most handsome looking headphones that we've seen in terms of audio performance they're absolutely wonderful you have accurate audio you have really nice levels of low and mid Highs are also good uh but the fact that bass is not overly exaggerated makes them sound really accurate and nice and uh they are good for people who who like to genuinely listen to music and don't like over exaggerated base uh the audio does leak out to the person on the site so they will not isolate the audio inside your ear there's a lot of sound that comes out of these headphones as well so people on your either side uh will get Disturbed so these are more of a use at home headphones or uh use on an aeroplane kind of headphones but not use in a quiet environment with a lot of people uh that being said uh they are not the best headphones that you can buy in this price they are the most nice looking according to me but they are not the best headphones that you can buy Buy in this price you have tons of other options available and uh some people may even like going for Beats by Dre even though they base and their audio quality kind of is on the lower side but they have more of an image versus something that is a Phillips headphone Philips is going to bring it to India uh by uh December is what they claimed for a price which is going to be around the 15,000 price Mark uh for that price investing in a premium quality headphone uh may be up to your requirement you might want to consider listening to them before you buy them so if you do get these headphones in they will be on display at a Philips showroom so you can go there and listen to them before you actually consider buying these headphones uh one more thing to note is uh that the headphones come with a soft cloth bag this is almost velvety and it can be used to clean your headphones as well but essentially meant to keep your headphones away from dust uh what these what there is a plus side and a downside to this it is easily uh wrapped up and inserted into this cloth bag but it's not a hard bag as many other uh manufacturers including uh AKG including Denon including uh Beats by Dre they give hard cases for their headphones uh Phillips does not do that and that is a sort of a disappointment for us because we would really liked a hard case which had uh cable holding pockets as well as uh this uh nut or this clip or this Jack holding pocket and and a nice way to carry your headphones around with protected hard case would have been nicer but Philips has given a soft bag so there you go guys this was our
