Welcome to Paul's Hardware: My New Channel

Hey everybody and welcome to Paul's Hardware this is my first video this is my new channel and I think it's kind of fitting because today at work where I do our other video channel we just did our 1,000th video it was the powerc color radi on HD 7990 devil 13 it was pretty awesome maybe I'll link to it anyway uh I wanted to do a video even though I'm not really ready to do a video because I don't have like lights and stuff like that yet but I've got some stuff ordered um and I got these projects going on anyway so I figured I might as well hit record and show you guys I hope you enjoy my new channel and I've been very very happy with all the feedback I've gotten it's been incredibly positive for uh the channel I do over at New Egg so um yeah I hope you guys like this one too I'm going to uh for today I'm going to show you uh my computer because I've been asked to do that a lot and I'm also going to prep for my second video which is going to be my wife's new computer okay so for the wife what I have coming up is a new build and she wanted an orange computer and I don't even know if this looks orange I'm really sorry about the lighting not going to be filming out here on a regular basis but uh I got her a NZXT Phantom 410 the new egg special the black with the orange trim looks pretty sweet and I wanted some fans to match so I got these uh cougar Vortex hdb they're hydrodynamic bearing fans they're really quiet and uh should do a very good job job so I'm going to S those out here's my computer it's uh it's Corsair 600t case it's the graphite one it's got a side window I don't have any fans on it right now because I don't really do a I don't really put a whole lot of strain on this but uh let's take a look inside which might be a little bit messy because I am taking it out right now to clean it okay so inside for starters I do some video card testing with this so I needed a pretty beefy power SP so I got an enax Plax that's a 1200 watt uh it's also got the cables which are kind of uh red and gold which I like cuz I like red and gold uh I also have the Asus GTX 580 the direct2 it's a big triple slot card but uh it's been working well for me thinking I might switch to something else soon but I'll see what is available uh and then I guess I'll talk about what's most visible here this is a thermaltech Frio cooler I really like this cooler it does a really good job down at the bottom which I hope you guys can see I really don't have like the best light here again I'm like holding a lamp over uh so down at the bottom there you can see my motherboard and that's the ASUS Sabertooth z77 which has a thermal AR armor on it which looks looks pretty sweet I've also got like 16 gigs of Corsair low profile memory it's like 1,600 it's nothing too crazy uh but yeah as you can probably see I me it's not terrible in here as far as desk goes but it does could use a cleaning uh also I guess I I can talk about my storage I just got like a DVD burner up in the front uh storage I have a Kingston hyperx 240 gig SSD and then a couple hard drives they have like a 500 gig uh this is a Western Digital re4 like one the Enterprise drives and I got a 2 terb Western Digital Western Digital green down there as well which does a pretty good job for media storage and backup and everything and then the re4 I put like if uh I have some of my Steam games and other games installed on that I have most of them on the SSD cuz there's plenty of space but that's my setup I'm going to give this a cleaning that's going to be all for this video guys again I'm just getting things started here so I'm probably not going to be posting too frequently uh but I got some lights coming in I promise things will look better and all that um but stay tuned for at least one more video hope you guys enjoyed I'd love if you subscribe you can be one of the first ones because it's my first video and uh see you next time

My Computer: A Look Inside

I'm going to take a closer look inside my computer now let's get started okay so as I was saying earlier this is a Corsair 600t case it's the graphite one it's got a side window which is really nice because it allows for good airflow and also looks pretty cool I don't have any fans on it right now because I don't really do a whole lot of strain on this but that doesn't mean I won't be adding some fans later who knows maybe I'll even get a fancy liquid cooling setup going on here

My Motherboard: The Heart of the Computer

So let's take a look at my motherboard okay so it's an ASUS Sabertooth z77 which is a great board for gaming and other general use it's got a thermal AR armor on it which looks pretty sweet and also helps to keep things cool down at the bottom there you can see that it's got all sorts of ports and whatnot but I'm not really using them right now because this is more of a static build so we'll get to that later okay so as you can probably see my motherboard has a bunch of components on it like capacitors and resistors those are usually pretty easy to spot but there are also some tiny little parts that go into making sure everything runs smoothly like tiny little circuits and stuff

My Storage: Where All My Files Live

Okay so I've got a DVD burner up in the front which is really handy for burning CDs or DVDs or whatever you need to do with those things I've also got a Kingston hyperx 240 gig SSD which is super fast and great for loading games and programs quickly I'm not using any of my external hard drives right now because this build is more focused on speed and performance than storage capacity but maybe later down the line I'll add some of those in

My Power Supply: Where It All Starts

So let's take a look at my power supply okay so it's an enax Plax that's a 1200 watt unit which should be plenty for this build I've got all sorts of cables and whatnot coming out of it but like I said before I'm not really using most of them right now because this is more of a static build so we'll get to that later okay so as you can probably see my power supply has a bunch of components on it like capacitors and resistors those are usually pretty easy to spot but there are also some tiny little parts that go into making sure everything runs smoothly like tiny little circuits and stuff

you guys like this one too I'm going to uh for today I'm going to show you uh my computer because I've been asked to do that a lot and I'm also going to prep for my second video which is going to be my wife's new computer okay so for the wife what I have coming up is a new build and she wanted an orange computer and I don't even know if this looks orange I'm really sorry about the lighting not going to be filming out here on a regular basis but uh I got her a NZXT Phantom 410 the new egg special the black with the orange trim looks pretty sweet and I wanted some fans to match so I got these uh cougar Vortex hdb they're hydrodynamic bearing fans they're really quiet and uh should do a very good job job so I'm going to S those out here's my computer it's uh it's Corsair 600t case it's the graphite one it's got a side window I don't have any fans on it right now because I don't really do a I don't really put a whole lot of strain on this but uh let's take a look inside which might be a little bit messy because I am taking it out right now to clean it okay so inside for starters I do some video card testing with this so I needed a pretty beefy power SP so I got an enax Plax that's a 1200 watt uh it's also got the cables which are kind of uh red and gold which I like cuz I like red and gold uh I also have the Asus GTX 580 the direct2 it's a big triple slot card but uh it's been working well for me thinking I might switch to something else soon but I'll see what is available uh and then I guess I'll talk about what's most visible here this is a thermaltech Frio cooler I really like this cooler it does a really good job down at the bottom which I hope you guys can see I really don't have like the best light here again I'm like holding a lamp over uh so down at the bottom there you can see my motherboard and that's the ASUS Sabertooth z77 which has a thermal AR armor on it which looks looks pretty sweet I've also got like 16 gigs of Corsair low profile memory it's like 1,600 it's nothing too crazy uh but yeah as you can probably see I me it's not terrible in here as far as desk goes but it does could use a cleaning uh also I guess I I can talk about my storage I just got like a DVD burner up in the front uh storage I have a Kingston hyperx 240 gig SSD and then a couple hard drives they have like a 500 gig uh this is a Western Digital re4 like one the Enterprise drives and I got a 2 terb Western Digital Western Digital green down there as well which does a pretty good job for media storage and backup and everything and then the re4 I put like if uh I have some of my Steam games and other games installed on that I have most of them on the SSD cuz there's plenty of space but that's my setup I'm going to give this a cleaning that's going to be all for this video guys again I'm just getting things started here so I'm probably not going to be posting too frequently uh but I got some lights coming in I promise things will look better and all that um but stay tuned for at least one more video hope you guys enjoyed I'd love if you subscribe you can be one of the first ones because it's my first video and uh see you next timehey
