Building with the Great Max Delta One Case: A Budget Build Overview and Review
Hey guys, it's Kristin from Coalition Gaming, and I'm back with another exciting build project - today we're going to be building a budget XMN setup in the Great Max Delta One case. This case has been getting a lot of attention lately, and for good reason - it looks really good and offers great value for its price. In this article, we'll take a closer look at the components we've chosen for this build and walk you through the process of building it all together.
First, let's start with the components we've selected for this build. We're going to be using an EVGA 970 for Win Edition as our graphics card. This is a great choice for a budget build, offering excellent performance at an affordable price. Next, we'll be using the EVGA X79 Sli motherboard, which was purchased with for $100. Unfortunately, it had some bent pins when I received it, but I was able to get it repaired at a jewelry repair shop without incurring any additional costs. After the motherboard was repaired, everything seemed to be working fine.
We'll also be using an Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 AIO kit with a thicker than usual radiator and full configuration with fans. This is going to provide us with excellent cooling for our build, especially considering that it's a budget-friendly option. The RAM we've chosen is an 8GB kit of Corsair Vengeance LPDDR3 1600, which is a great choice for this build.
Now that we have all our components ready to go, let's get started on building the case. First, we need to install the cold plate on the Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 AIO kit. I want to point out that the thermal paste application may look a bit excessive, but it's actually fine - in fact, it might even provide better coverage than usual. This is because we're working with larger dies and heat spreaders, so we need a little extra thermal paste to make sure everything stays cool.
Next, we'll mount the radiator and fans on the front of the case. The tinted finish on the acrylic panel really makes this case stand out - it looks almost identical to some of the other cases in its class that are just plain clear. Speaking of the build process, I want to note that the foam pads that hold the power supply can be a bit of a hassle when installing it.
Despite these minor issues, the Great Max Delta One case is really easy to build with - and we're almost done! The final component we need to install is the graphics card itself. We'll be using an EVGA 974 Wind Plus as our graphics card for this build. Once everything is installed, let's take a look at how it all comes together.
The finished build looks really great, if I do say so myself. The case has a sleek and modern design that will fit in well with any gaming setup. And the best part? It's available for under $50 - which makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking to build a budget-friendly PC. Overall, I'm really impressed with this build and I think you'll be too.
Benchmarks and Overclocking
As we mentioned earlier, we'll be doing some benchmarks and overclocking in the next video. But before that, let's take a look at how our build performs straight out of the box. The EVGA 970 for Win Edition is performing really well, offering excellent performance at an affordable price.
But we're not just stopping at the graphics card - we'll also be testing the rest of our components to see how they perform. This includes the Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 AIO kit, which is providing excellent cooling and helping us reach high frame rates in our tests.
Overclocking will also play a big role in this build, as we want to squeeze every last bit of performance out of our components. We'll be using software tools like EVGA's Precision X3 to push the limits of our graphics card and see just how far we can take it.
Conclusion
That's it for today's article - I hope you enjoyed watching us build this budget-friendly PC in the Great Max Delta One case. As always, if you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reach out. And be sure to like and subscribe for more content, including upcoming videos on benchmarks and overclocking.
Thanks again for watching, and I'll see you in the next video!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys this is Kristin coalition gaming I'm back with the great max Delta one case from the unboxing and overview video today we're going to be building the budget xmn setup in it so there's a little review for the case and a build video for you enjoy so here's the bill that here's the part you have an EVGA 970 for the win edition right over here we have the EVGA x79 sli motherboard here this was the one that had bought with for $100 it had bent pins and I had it repaired at a jewelry repair shop and they didn't charge me so that's a pretty good deal and it seems that everything was up and running after I got that taken care of over here I have the Arctic liquid freezer 240 AIO kit with the thicker than usual radiator and we put full configuration with these fans I have the rate max Delta one case right here and it's going to look really good all built up so the RAM was already set ready to go it is a 8 gigabyte kit of Corsair Vengeance lpddr3 1600 I wanted to go for more ram but this is a budget build and this is what I had so let's go ahead and get it into the case so here we have the cold plate on the Arctic liquid freezer 240 and I actually really like the way this cold plate looks it's pretty shiny not completely polished but better than the last one that I did all right so the radiator and the fans are mounted that's right here in the front and now it's time to get the the cold plate flash pump installed something I want to point out everybody is this is this is my application of thermal page for this and it looks like it might be a bit much if it's okay to have a little bit too much rather than too little but I'm actually used to applying this on smaller processors the 3770k socket 11 5 X they're smaller processors you need a little less these are bigger so it's kind of good to just put a little extra funnel paste on there not a big deal and you'll get better coverage this way on this larger die or larger heat spreader rather so here we got the EVGA 974 the wind plus this is going to be the graphics card for this build and I'm going to drop it in now so I've got the power supply ready to go in now and we're on the homestretch this power supply is AC Sonic unit is a 621 80 plus bronze and it's fully modular which is nice like $55 that's that's not something you see a lot in power supplies so here's the build everybody all powered up and looking good this is a really good looking case for the money I got to give it that this tinted finish on the acrylic panel really makes it stand out it makes it look no different than some of the other cases in its class where they're all just pretty much clear as far as my review of the case overall it's really easy to build in the the little foam pads that the power supply sits in can be a bit of a hassle when installing the power supply but aside from that there really no no need no issues with this case when building in it it's really easy to build in it looks really good it's a good price this is going to go up on my list with one of the best $50 cases ever so I'm going to give it that and as far as everything else goes benchmarks overclocking all that stay tuned for the next video anyway this is Chris with coalition gaming if you like this video click that like button subscribe for more especially that next video coming on the overclocking and
