**A Transformative DIY Bathroom Makeover**
As I embarked on this DIY bathroom makeover project, I knew that it wouldn't be easy. But with a clear vision and an open mind, I was determined to create a beautiful and functional space that would exceed my expectations. In this article, I'll take you through the entire transformation process, from the initial planning stages to the final reveal.
The first step in my DIY bathroom makeover was to set the tone for the design. I wanted to create a modern and cozy atmosphere, and I started by selecting a color palette that would tie everything together. I chose black as my primary color, accompanied by white accents and pops of green. This combination would provide a nice contrast and add visual interest to the space.
To start, I began by rearranging the layout of the room. The original placement of the towel basket was off-center, so I decided to move it to the countertop in the corner. This would create a more balanced look and draw attention away from any imperfections. Next, I added a black hand towel to complement the new layout. I wanted to keep things simple and avoid over-accessorizing, but I also knew that adding a few well-placed decorative items could make all the difference.
With the foundation of the design in place, it was time to add some visual interest. I used Dollar Tree products to create a faux tree plant on the counter. The result was a beautiful piece that added depth and texture to the space. I also discovered a wax melt tea light holder in black, which I placed on the counter as a subtle addition to the design.
As I continued to work on the makeover, I realized that layering was key to creating a cohesive look. I used a combination of stoneware and all-black soap pumps from Dollar Tree to create a beautiful soap dish that added a touch of elegance to the space. The black color scheme continued throughout the room, with the addition of black towels and decorative accents.
But just when I thought I had reached the perfect balance, I realized that something was missing. That's when I started brainstorming ideas for adding some greenery to the space. A small sprig of moss or a potted plant would bring in a natural element and add a pop of color. After considering various options, I decided to create a simple bouquet using dollar store rolls to create a makeshift flower arrangement.
The final touches were added with the addition of a black dish holder and some decorative accents. But it was the subtle details that made all the difference – like the way the green moss brought the entire space together, or the way the black accents created a sense of depth and texture.
As I stepped back to admire my handiwork, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. The bathroom had been transformed into a beautiful and functional space that reflected my personal style. And with just a few simple DIY projects using Dollar Tree products, I was able to create a cohesive design that exceeded my expectations.
**The Takeaway**
This DIY bathroom makeover is proof that you don't have to break the bank or sacrifice functionality in order to achieve a beautiful and modern space. With a clear vision, an open mind, and a willingness to experiment with new ideas, it's possible to transform your home into a reflection of your personal style. Whether you're looking to update your own bathroom or simply want to try out some creative DIY projects, this makeover is sure to inspire.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys today we are gonna be upstairs in this bathroom that's actually supposed to serve for the two bedrooms that are back here and also off of this media room that I have it's time to get it ready I have some things here hopefully I will have everything that I want to kind of complete this work this space and put it out and share it with you guys so let me turn the camera around and walk you through what's going on so this is the space the bathroom space and I'm going for a modern farmhouse feel because that's how the media room is being done but that's probably gonna be a separate reveal anyhow because I'm doing a modern farmhouse feel to me that means white black sharp crisp and then some splashes of green that is just kind of what I get from that I don't actually typically decorate with black I like a more traditional farmhouse that's mixed with other things like Tuscan just old-world and maybe a little bit of French country esque so this is really different for me and let's go ahead and get started I'm gonna walk you through a couple of things that are already happening these are the bath mats that I got from Amazon they were very cheap I think they were like twelve or fourteen dollars for both of them and as you can see I already have them on the ground they weren't if I put two of them together here they would have overlapped so that's why I decided to Center it there and then here is the shower curtain that I went with it's really beautiful simple it has like this little chevron pattern and what I love about this is that I can redecorate this in two different styles and seasons and holidays because white is just really easy to work with up here this is the shower curtain rod I went with it is black and then the hooks are black as well I really like that chic look and that's that so that's the shower curtain and then I have a trash can that's already filled with stuff I think I got that from Wayfarer and even though I am doing black and white I'm also trying to minimize the whole domino effect that's why we're gonna add a third color of green anyhow okay so I've got some decor laying out here we've even got a Dollar Tree DIY that we're gonna do in today's video so actually as a matter of fact let's start with the DIY alright here's gonna be our DIY station the block see right there by the stairs so here I found these Dollar Tree black trays and the moment I saw them I knew exactly yeah they make these in multiple colors at Dollar Tree but again I went with block for the style going for it and then when I saw these actually when I saw these and these were like right below it it instantly clicked I was just like what so we've got these paper shapes in the girl and in the boy and these are pretty you know popular items to to put into a bathroom even Hobby Lobby cells like the galvanized versions of of that but you know we're gonna DIY it so all right I decided to take off from the bottom rather than the top that way their head still looks completely round hopefully this is about I should have marked it definitely mark it but I'm just eyeballing this here well it's pretty perfect and now under normal circumstances I would have modpodge this just so that it would have a longevity and it would really stay and be nice you know even if I decide to like pack it away for a while and do something else I can't buy my mod podge I still haven't fully unpacked my craft room so instead I'm gonna use glue dots and which is fine because even if you didn't want a Mod Podge it especially if you're putting this up against the wall you know where no one's really gonna touch it then it should it should ultimately be fine and I absolutely cannot say enough good things about the Dollar Tree glue dots so this is a full on everything is a dollar tree here so we are gonna turn him over where we're gonna place all the glue dots and you want to make sure that you rub into that and we're just gonna keep placing these so I'm definitely going to put some at the ends of his arms so that they don't kind of lift up we're gonna put some at the bottom of his feet all right so now you want to make sure that you've got him properly centered and luckily it's not as sticky so you could have some room to kind of readjust refined your Center and then you want to press where the glue dots are and there we go and voila dollar tree bathroom signs for two dollars each I can remove this and one day I will but it's there's gonna be a mark coming up to paint and fill in you know the holes but that means it's gonna make a deist off-centered a little bit for now but we're gonna work around it and then once I get to just removing that then we'll have to recenter it I could lower them a little bit um but I think it would just look best if I kept it a little bit higher so I was actually trying this effect using these dollar tree garden hooks but they were simply too long I wanted to hang them rather than just you know fold them over a towel wrap I just wanted the layering effect and displaying towels differently and I think because modern farmhouse also comes across as casual instead of formal to me I thought that up it would look great but I don't have the hooks the shorter hooks so instead we are gonna just put them back kind of the way that I had them staged before and that is basically what it looks like so now we are gonna work on directly above it I like framing things I don't know what what other word to use and so I think that if we take a really pretty sign and put it above it gives it depth all right sorry about the lighting in this direction but now we're going to work on this shelf area right here and I am gonna hang up this brand new shelf I got it at the at-home store by the way it was 39.99 I don't remember if I got a discount on it I maybe I did I think maybe was $29.99 but maybe I didn't I think I think that it's worth it I love the wood and then the almost like the honeycomb like wire back here in black the white little buckets here and with a black trim I think it's very modern and this is where we're gonna do some decorating and I'm thinking that it needs to go right here now that we have this up it's time to decorate it and let me show you what I got I have this sign right here brush and floss it is from Hobby Lobby it was $10 originally but it was 50% off so I got it for $5 and then also Hobby Lobby I picked up these which kind of reminds me of boxwood I don't know if that's actually what these are and they were $6.99 but they were also 50% off so they were about three dollars and 50 cents each and we're going to trim them because they're gonna go in to the buckets I also have this sign which is from Dollar Tree says let it go and when I hold this there were some other ones to choose from and we all thought it would be more hilarious if we went with this one because the bathroom right so maybe we're gonna layer that I'm not sure I also have one or thing I have this little pencil holder from Dollar Tree and what is hilarious is this is the mini version of the trash can from Wayfarer I thought maybe I could add it to the top and maybe we could put like a sphere like a green mossy sphere which I have downstairs or maybe it is a hydrangea that I have I'm not sure but I think maybe something at the top to pull some green at the top and maybe a different color green than this just to give it some more layering I'm like standing up on my tippy toes even though I could just adjust this just to give it more layering different green etc so let's first start off with taking this sign and let's put it on this end let's take this and put it maybe right about here and then maybe they'll let it go there's really not that much room maybe let's angle it in a little bit and then let's get these into here an easy way to do this without having to take any wires and cutting this off is just bending the bottom like this perfect and you can immediately see how this green just changes this whole thing and brings it to life that's okay there we go I'm going to go downstairs and grab something for that all right so I have two options I know you can't see me but this is one option here and then this fear sphere mossy ball here so let's see what it looks like that is actually kind of cute because we've got the pop of white in the center I actually really love that but for kicks let's just see what this would look like vote let me know do you like the Moss ball or do you like this little box wood faux tree plant thing I think I got it from the 99-cent store this turned out so much better than I honestly had envisioned I think it's beautiful I love that we've got white balancing over here black but we also have wood wood trim this is wood we've got the Pops of black back here there's just a lot of layering going on and I love that I feel like it really makes things cozy so now we're gonna add a black hand towel to here I'm not going to do anything fancy to this although please comment and give me any ideas maybe not overdo it maybe less is more in this situation but you can see with the black how nice that looks and I think black is definitely the better choice over white while I was at Walmart I found this wax melt tea light holder in black so we're gonna put this down first then we're gonna take this we've got a little piece that's that kind of slipped off here we're going to take this and set it on top and now we've brought the green from the bottom to the middle the next thing that I'm going to do is put up some dish a soap dish and I'm actually going to layer these this is what I got from Dollar Tree and you've got this black one that you can see is kind of like translucent and then they have like this stoneware one and voila and that just perfect so we're gonna put that probably over this corner and then Dollar Tree has these gorgeous all black the whole thing of these soap pumps and I don't have any soap in here yet and I actually want to so I can have one on either side for now I've only been able to find the one when I originally hold it like a dummy I hold it in black and in white thinking that I was gonna do you know one black one white go the whole thing but then I started realizing that it just was feeling a little too domino so that's where I just wanted to be really consistent with choosing the colors I was using so I'm going to be on the hunt for another black one now let's turn our attention back to this area so originally I had this basket of little rolled-up towels right here just you know I'm just playing around trying to figure things out but as you can see it makes the signs look off-centered well it's hard for you to see from that angle but it aligns more up with the girl than the boy so I think we're gonna instead put it on the countertop and display it right here in the corner now up close this is a Dollar Tree basket hello and this is actually a Dollar Tree towel so I could have just essentially done all blocking here instead of again doing that domino look but I did have these other sets the same one that matched the one that we hung up so we're just gonna do the whole black and white thing right here on the corner all right and here is the final look and that's it for today's decorate with me I hope that you guys loved the DIY the way I use other Dollar Tree products and then just how this overall modern bathroom came together I am in love I do feel like I'm gonna be making a little bit more you know I'm gonna be making some more additions I feel like there is something grain missing down here and I you know we talked about all that and then maybe something green over on this side so please comment let me know what I could possibly do over here that doesn't involve touching the towels really and like no ribbon just drop any ideas you know what a wreath would actually be cute too but that may be a little too much but I also love I love adding things I don't mind adding things as a matter of fact I could do a wreath right here because no one really needs to go into these oh I have to do a wreath here we're going to that's gonna be you know what when I reveal the media room I'll do the updates to this room and then we'll we'll do that whole the whole kit and caboodle together so anyways this is it for this part hope you guys enjoy and I'll see you next time Thankshi guys today we are gonna be upstairs in this bathroom that's actually supposed to serve for the two bedrooms that are back here and also off of this media room that I have it's time to get it ready I have some things here hopefully I will have everything that I want to kind of complete
