speakers so let's first look at the speaker itself you can see the front and the back place are both made of natural bamboo and it just has this modern high-end look that just makes it look great in any location but especially great in white locations if you have like a white desk White Walls this is really going to stand out and look amazing the material in the middle here of the speaker is described as a skin-friendly rewind Fabric and I I like that it's a different material just to give the speaker more of definition but I'm not the biggest fan of it because it does kind of get white over time you kind of see you know I guess from your hands touching it all the time it does show some wear on that part of the speaker however I think we can all agree that this speaker is just beautiful it's just beautifully crafted it also just feels solid and well built weighing in at just over 3 lb and while this is more of a stationary speaker that you're just going to sit somewhere in your house and leave it and forget about it it does come with a really nice pouch for traveling if you did want to travel with it I use this bag to travel with the speaker a lot and I also used it outside while washing my car and the sound was just excellent taking a deeper look at the speaker itself you can see on the front we have these two 5 Wat speakers for the mids and the highs and of course a powerful 15 W subwoofer right in the middle for those thumping lows on the top of the speaker we have our power and control buttons we have a power button a play pause and the volume up and down buttons and if we flip it around to the back you can see we have our DC inport for charging we have our battery indicator our reset button and a 3.5 mm Jack to connect to non Bluetooth devices the speaker uses Bluetooth 4.0 and I have not noticed any kind of signal issues at all I'm able to walk around my pretty much my entire house and even outside and still have connection with the speaker as for the battery life the speaker is rocking a 5200 mAh battery and Archer claims that it will last you 11 hours at half volume now I haven't tested the battery extensively myself but I have noticed that this thing does last a good minute and since it is like a stationary speaker as well you're pretty much just going to always have it plugged in so battery is not really a big deal unless you are traveling with it a lot however 11 hours of battery is still a good amount if you did want to travel or just keep it unplugged for a long period of time so this thing obviously looks good the price is is right but still it's not going to last in my house I'm going to ditch it I'm going to get something new if the sound is not good it's all about sound for me not all I love the looks I love the aesthetic of this uh speaker but if it doesn't sound good I'm not going to use it so how does this Archer speaker sound so the thing you need to know about this speaker is that its main selling point is the base Archer even claims that this speaker is made for the Bas heads so before the speaker even arrived at my house I made some assumptions about it I thought that the highs and the mids would be lacking and the lows would be the only thing that the speaker was good at you know was under 100 bucks I was like you know how good could it really be but I was actually genuinely impressed so the speaker does lack a little bit in the highs but not nearly as much as I expected and honestly if I didn't have like a Sono speaker and a JBL speaker to compare it to I probably wouldn't even realize that the highs aren't as good as the competition the mids on the other hand sounded solid so overall the sound quality is impressive it's great and you know I haven't really heard a speaker pump out as much base at that size and that price point I have not heard a speaker pump out as much base as that speaker does right there and the big thing is those lows and that base does not overpower the highs and the mids like you would expect so that's just my opinion on the sound quality but I'm going to let you guys decide with a sound test so I'm actually going to do a sound test with the Archer speaker and then I'm also going to compare it to a JBL Charge $160 JBL charge and keep in mind for this test that the JBL does have a higher output on the speaker itself so it is you know in general going to be louder but both devices were at half volume on both the phone and on the speakers themselves so put on some headphones and take a listen to the quality of both of these I think personally it sounds overall better than the JBL for all aspects highs mids lows just everything when you combine it all together I think that this Archer speaker sounds better than the JBL only recommend it for music I would not try to watch a video or a movie or anything like it because that does depend a lot on highs and I think you would be better off with a JBL or a Sonos or something like that but of course everything is subjective with sound and it's going to fully depend on what you use a Bluetooth speaker for and what type of music you listen to but of course I did
