**Getting Real Work Done with Spatial Computing**
As you can see, it is possible to get some real work done while using the Meta Quest browser. I'm currently working on my script in this window, watching a CET video in another window, and surfing cet.com in yet another window. Unfortunately, the Quest 3 and Two only allow us to use one app at a time, but we can't have multiple windows open on the Firefox browser or The Meta Quest browser for example.
However, there are some work productivity apps available on the Meta Quest store that can help with this issue. For instance, Immersed is a free app that allows you to connect with your Apple laptop or Windows laptop and utilize multiple screens and apps in a spatial environment. Another option is metah Horizon work rooms, which also offer this functionality for free. These apps are available on the Meta Quest store, and they can be easily set up by following the instructions provided.
**Setting Up Immersed**
To get started with Immersed, you will need to start the app in your headset and request an email link to download the remote desktop application onto your laptop. Upon receiving this email, you will need to download the app and follow the instructions to connect it with your computer. Once connected, you can reconnect your magic mouse and keyboard to your MacBook Pro, allowing you to edit videos or work on other tasks while still watching CET videos on YouTube.
The Meta Quest remote display is another good alternative for interfacing with your computer in a spatial environment. This app allows you to view one screen at a time, but it does offer the option to mirror your computer's desktop, which can be useful for working in a virtual office setting. While the Meta Quest store has a number of work productivity apps like Immersed and metah Horizon work rooms, some apps are not available on this platform.
**Exploring Entertainment Options**
One of the features that sets the Meta Quest apart from other VR headsets is its ability to offer an immersive entertainment experience. Apple's Vision Pro touts Apple TV integration, allowing users to enjoy movies and TV shows in a spatial environment. However, this experience can also be replicated on the Quest 3 and Two with free apps like Big Screen.
Big Screen allows users to place themselves in front of a giant virtual screen, complete with multiple virtual environments to choose from. The app is available for YouTube Prime Video and Disney, and it even offers an option to invite friends to watch something together. Users can also mirror their computer's desktop using the Big Screen app, allowing them to use the space as a virtual office.
Additionally, there are other native entertainment apps available on the Quest 3 and Two, such as Netflix YouTube VR, and Voodoo. These apps offer a range of content options for users to enjoy in a spatial environment. Another option is to upload videos from your phone to Google Drive or Dropbox and then download them onto the quest headset to watch in multiple formats on a giant screen hovering in front of your eyes.
These videos look great on this giant screen in front of my face, and you can resize the screen to be massive and it almost feels like I'm there. It's not a spatial video format, but the video still looks sharp and stunning when played in The Quest 3 and Two.
