Enabling Guest Mode on iOS 7: A Step-by-Step Guide

Hey guys, it's Tony from the Unlocker Comm, and today we're going to show you how to enable a guest mode that other people can use on your iOS 7 device. This is going to be a really useful tweak for anyone who wants to share their phone with friends or family members without having to worry about them accessing sensitive information.

To get started, you'll need to make sure that your phone is jailbroken. If you haven't already done this, click the link below and complete the procedure. Once you've completed the process, return to this video for the tutorial on how to install and use the Guest Mode tweak.

Now that we've ensured that your phone is jailbroken, let's move on to Cydia and start the installation process. Tap search on the bottom right of the screen once it loads up, and then tap in the name of the tweak, which is Guest Mode. Just tap that when it shows up. Note that this is an app you need to purchase, so tap "Purchase" and complete the purchasing procedure from there.

I'm going to sign in with Google and complete the purchasing process from here. Once I've finished, I'll tap "Close" on the top right of the screen, which will take me back to the Guest Mode page. At this point, you'll tap "Install" on the top right, confirm, and let it download and install on your phone. When you're asked to restart the phone or restart Springboard, tap that and wait for your phone to restart.

Now that the phone has restarted, let's move on to Settings and scroll all the way down until we find Guest Mode. Enable that, and then tap "Method for Guests to Access the Phone." I'm going to choose "Guess" button on the right of the lockscreen guest passcode, but I won't turn this on because it kind of defeats the point of this tweak. Instead, I'll leave it as it is.

I want one of my guests to have access to the camera on the lockscreen, which is fine. Then, under Privileges, I'll dim the disabled apps, which we'll come to in a little bit. I'll also allow guests access to all this stuff or, you know, so excuse me not all this stuff only the phone died and the single Safari tab. Now, tap "Enabled Apps" to choose apps that will work for guests in Guest Mode.

I'm going to go with Dropbox for example, even though it's probably not the best idea. Once I've made my choices, I'll tap the Home button and then lock my phone, unlock it, and as you can see, there's a guest button on the bottom right here. Tap "Guest," and all the other apps apart from Dropbox will be dimmed out as I chose earlier. See how they don't open at all except for Dropbox of course? That's what Guest Mode does.

This is really easy to do and very easy to install and configure, so definitely download it, install it, and configure your phone for some more safety and privacy.
