**39.99 or 40 Canadian: Is This WiFi Card Any Good?**
I recently purchased a WiFi card for my computer, and I was curious to see if it would be worth the investment. The card in question is a Wi-Fi adapter that can handle both small form factor and normal size cases with the supplied bracket.
One of the features I was impressed with was the heavy heat sink on the card. It's not the card itself that's heavy, but rather the heat sink that encases it, making it very nice to have for optimal performance.
Apparently, this Wi-Fi adapter is based on the AX 200 Intel chipset, which is also used in high-end motherboard manufacturers like Gigabyte. For example, the board I'm using in this case is a Gigabyte X570 Ultra motherboard with an AX 200 Intel chipset.
Another bonus of this WiFi card is that it comes with built-in Bluetooth 5.0, just like you would find on a motherboard in the same series. It also includes an included USB 2 connector that can be connected to a USB 2 header on your board, which I found convenient.
Now, I know what you're thinking: "Is a $40 WiFi card any good?" Normally, I would say no, as I've tried many different wireless cards and USBs with limited success. However, this card performed almost as well as my built-in Wi-Fi, which is very impressive considering it's going through a PCIe lane.
Keep in mind that if you're using the built-in Wi-Fi from your provider, then it depends on what they offer as far as technology from their router. If you're adding a router to an existing provider and turning off the Wi-Fi to use an AC router like an AC 2600 or AC 3200, then you can expect speeds of up to 1,000 megabits per second.
In my gaming experience, I was able to achieve phenomenal results with this WiFi card. I even managed to get a victory in Fortnite (also known as Victory Royale), which is no small feat! While I didn't do so well in the next two rounds I tested, it's worth noting that this was likely due to skill or luck of the draw rather than any issue with the WiFi card.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a good WiFi card and are willing to spend $40 Canadian, then I would definitely recommend considering this option. It may not be as fast as hardwiring your internet connection, but it's certainly a viable alternative, especially if you have relatively fast internet speeds already.
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome back to another episode of the last game hunter and today we're going to try and save you money with your wi-fi okay so it's been a big thing wireless internet wireless gaming and can it be done the key is yes if you spend a lot of money of course it can but do you have to spend a lot of money to get the job done and the answer today i'm hoping is no i did i shopped around and took a look at different wireless cards out there but i was looking for specific chip sets and the jew win came in and after coupon it was about 39.99 or 40. canadian the question is was it any good bonuses of this wi-fi card was one it's able to do small form factor or normal size cases with the supplied bracket which is really neat so it comes with the taller bracket installed for a normal case and if you're in a situation where you're just building a maybe itx or something where it's very small you don't have much room and it takes small form factor cards you can do so as well card has a heavy heat sink on it i mean the card's not heavy it's just the card is encased in a heat sink which makes it very nice more like the asus card that i have my ac 2600 or 3200 or whatever it is and that was a 150 card so now i have a card that kind of competes build quality slash performance apparently as this is the ax 200 intel chipset now if you're familiar with that that is the same chipset that high-end motherboard manufacturers use so for example the board i'm going to use in this case is the gigabyte x570 ultra motherboard so the x570 ultra motherboard has an ax 200 intel chipset another bonus now on a motherboard you would have built-in bluetooth 5.0 in that series will you actually do on this card as well it comes with an included usb 2 connector this connector will go to the back of the card and this goes to a usb 2.0 header that's already on your board not being used guys how did a 40 canadian price tag wifi card do well here's the charts so is a 40 card good normally i would say no and i've tried many different wireless cards wireless usbs and so on i have to give this double thumbs up this card performed almost as good as the built-in which is very impressive considering it's going through a pcie lane that is a connection versus soldered in so that is definitely a true bonus there getting over 400 megabits a second on a wireless card now keep in mind and this is something very important that everybody here needs to know one way or another if you're using the built-in wi-fi from your provider then it depends on what they offer as far as technology from that router if you're adding a router to an existing provider which is what i do and i turn off the wi-fi and i go to an ac router like an ac 2600 or an ac 3200 well that's how you're getting all of these speeds so if you have only 150 meg capable internet then you can only expect this to hit a maximum of 150 meg and on wi-fi that's truly not usually what happens i get 1 000 or you've seen 940 some odd gigabits or megabits a second on hardwire i expect at least somewhere between three to 400 on wi-fi and as i've been trying to say my gaming experience was phenomenal i actually got a victory royale yeah i did and that was on the add-in card and then i kind of just didn't do so well the last next two rounds where i tested the hardwire and the onboard ac now keep in mind that was just skill or luck of the draw i just happened to have played much better when i first played than i did the other two rounds so it was at no fault there was no ping uh delay there was no lag there was no issues i felt like i was hardwired gaming so would you really notice it if you have fast internet absolutely not so guys i hope this can save you a ton of money leave a link down
