upgrading the turbo already on the Supra to make some big power so it's kind of long story and how we got to this point but I'll fill you in once were there I looked at like the Waze app to figure out the best time to leave to avoid traffic so hopefully it's not too bad it could be anywhere from like a two to four hour drive to Long Island pending on what time we leave in the morning one of my favorite things this cuz it's got a speed it's like not even real you just like not too sure what road around right now but the locals probably know there's the gnarliest potholes on the side and in the center of this rose it's like dodging landmines one road rum glad this car still stock height because it would destroy and stretch tires or lowered car so as you guys know I travel on I've driven on some pretty bad roads specifically I think the worst I've ever driven on I was in like downtown Philly with my u46 and I had such a big pothole that have ripped my side skirt out but I have to say I feel for my Long Island friends because this is probably the worst highway I've ever been on these drains each one of them is like a half a foot deep and you just fall onto them there's no way to avoid them because the lanes are so narrow so if anyone out here is driving around a slam car you are my respect alright so we're here with RK tunes and Lindenhurst this is Jordan some guys gone I said how I kind of knew you feel like Chelsea and Alberto and stuff yeah so anyway what's the rundown what are we about to do stall down pipe in the car put some meth injection on it tune it see what we gain and then we're gonna take it all back off and throw up here stage two turf on it and turn out more so I kind of want to give this story because when I first hit you up I just wanted a down pipe and then you're like well I found out that you're actually like close by so I go come through throw the down by bomb will tune it from there send it all away you're like okay I get it down I'm like I got you aware good but then it kept escalating it was like oh why don't we do meth while I'm there and then I'm about it so that I know that you guys keep tagging me and I think it was is it forced-induction that did the 620 and we uh the shop CT go okay yeah they went ahead they did like five hundred and fifty I think they're like an eighty shot on it and then made that 620 wheel really nice guys they're always about going fast so they're trying to go fast they they went like ten ninety ten eighty so far so the interesting thing about that graph we were just talking yesterday about that graph like with my skyline chair when you see when they maxed out they start to dip off up top that turbo you were saying they're only running out like 20 psi xx psi graph looks great this just keeps you all on a redline so the guys for Jesse from Pierce said that turbo should make like 650 wheel he's leave you look at the graph the torque is so flat it just keeps going the power keeps going and going he's like get this turbo it will do 600 plus Jordan has a lot of experience shooting like stock ECU BMW stuff that's how I know you so hopefully I think a cool goal would be I don't know how much time it's gonna take her if it's possible to make six hundred wheel without spray on that turbo yeah it would be nice so far everyone's doing it is doing a bunch nitrous heavy was having trouble figure out the ECU sides enough to turn up we should be good we'll just see it to everything for more more time the crazier you want to turn it up you might get two other torque limiter Zeus linear so we'll see how much time we have but it that turbo will do certain holes will work with no nitrous so we probably would have done the triple today but because we're waiting for it to come tomorrow we like overnight it up yourself and us out on that too I think it's got to be cool to do the math and down my design fitting is the kind that gonna be like the n54 engine g5 platform well that'll be like the full bolt on version of the car that a lot of people will do to kind of like see how that feels before we jump up to that next stage so pretty much so we'll do that drive around beat on its a night a little bit yeah take it all back apart somehow to redo it what I'm more excited about though so your personal car right here is something that like I've been talking about forever and I didn't know it actually existed huh cuz I always wanted an F 80 but they sound like garbage they sound like vacuum cleaners and I was always wondered if you put a single on it will they sound better can we take it out later tonight so this thing makes a thousand wheel big single these are the s 55 right 70 to 75 gem tubes mean 1160 wheel all in my keep having issue the clutches so I put another new set of clutches in the car and I'm back on a thousand ish I'm a driving I get from the wall try to go fast would it be easier with a manual car versus an automatic or now it's easier to have to get a crazy clutch from calm for someone that yummy and cluck fit your car hold it but to drive better than the DCT surely hard this like the ships are insane the 61 13 is cars 4.0 back to back I've gone we're just like to drive a stick shift car do that that's like my zero to 60 I'm kind of excited because I know that be 58 that's the code for that engine right yeah it's supposed to be really really easy to work on and I was just talking to the guy next door that just did appear turbo and he said it took like an hour yeah it's so it's like six bolts before sick bolt hold the turbo on to the motor the oil lines they made it pretty easy because there's no material metals all the silver head there are just two little pipes that come off to the turbo I'm curious so will that be a limiting factor when guys want to start making a thousand horsepower versus having like being able to make a custom exhaust manifold how good it if it's like that you've got to make two tubes it's really easy to make any turbo fit I think it's worse than a factory to stuff off if the flow is good enough and the volume inside the silver hammer joints together I don't mean to be a limit if it's super tiny holes and super effective that's saying you won't be all afraid unless you change like the older BMW silver head which probably bolts right up let me see so when we rip it apart and we do the downpipe I'm curious I have some more questions for you like technically about the engine so I think we cool to learn some so for sure let's do a baseline real quick it's cool so you're doing all the weird sorcery magic to get in a dino mode every single time you turn the car off and on you gotta do this hold the button until this screen comes up click down till you're on chassis dyno hold the button again and then just press it one more time and then you're in it and then every time turn the car off it automatically gets out of it every single time you do this something that's kind of interesting about this car is look at the variance these are all different polls back to back to back look at the variance on the horsepower we've got anything from 324 to 350 horsepower that's just bone stock torque looks like we got 400 what I'm curious about if you go to a bigger turbo on this setup is this something where you could raise the red line and see gains up top or is it limited mechanically yeah but what we'll do is if it doesn't fix power crudely so if it falls it won't fall off anymore so yeah dropping off you'll need to make power your 6100 7000 whatever the factory rev we might be so the interesting thing about like kind of having that more of a flat line torque curve and having it keep not really fall off the car won't necessarily feel that much faster but it'll put faster times down do you like the torque due to four key cars feels fast but it blows the tires off and you can't put the power down feels great I love tour yeah but it is not make car feel faster it meets our fuel fast it does not make it faster yeah its horsepower makes it faster so this stock is kind of set up how a lot of my drift cars are set up with tiny turbos so it just lights the wheels up but when you're trying to go fast in a straight line that's kind of exactly what you don't want yeah where if you can keep that torque or flat you're putting the same exact load on the tires all the way through the power band and then you're not spinning very much so all right hypothesis downpipe meth what do you think it'll make for 5470 so I'm gonna make like 500 messing race gas and math everything so mid 400s I'm with it yeah this should be fun should be like a perfect amount I think that would probably be the most fun for this in a daily sense but of course we have to go above and beyond to make it ridiculous so yeah I'm sure we'll do a bigger turbo after the pr2 his first time getting to look underneath this thing it's gonna be so nice working on a new car so we'll just go over to the shelf and downpipes let's see this looks like this might be for the soup it's obviously we're going cat lest let it flow a little bit better and it should sound pretty cool too so it's basically like factory V man that's huge that's so cool though place sounds sick huh not gonna lie with all these under trays it kind of looks like a BMW under here yeah everything is it says look where's be another level okay there you go I'm amazed at how easily serviceable everything is there's a lot of room yeah new one comes out with like twin turbo or some upgraded model yeah it's not gonna be as easy but as of right now there was a lot of room tell ya trying to go back up yeah we're Kyle's not like for a minute oh yeah I was gonna say it but you know this straight up the Dino doing the downpipe how about you my hands yeah so Jordan action hasn't done well he's before so I'm excited to learn with him so it looks like there's two nuts on the bracket up here one v-band clamp and then the oh twos should be pretty simple it's super easy like this it's very similar layouts I'd go BMW be for the a placement everything yeah so it's like the same thing just have Noah a super yet it's all accessible mudroom just pile hot I got it similes I like to just let them spin and then do it after the fact a hundred percent yeah so I'm curious one of the cool things about this compared to other cars that I have is that the intercooler is actually built into the intake manifold do you think that's gonna become like a limitation where people are going to be front mounts on it to move all that a few inches is way more work than moving like if you just have an intake manifold Maya PDS an intake manifold normal you put a space or moves over I don't know to having you try moving this over an inch or 3/4 of an inch to put extra injectors it'll become more of an issue and researching wise it could be an issue but if it's as big as that is it's relatively large okay what he's talking about when you want around a unifier start making bigger power like my n54 people will put a spacer between the actual head and intake manifold so you can add secondary like traditional injectors because these are direct injection and from what I understand it's harder to get ud5 through direct injection just because of the crazy pressure because you need so much yeah but also it's like you have to find someone makes the only one coming needs to upgrade a fuel pump and still super questionable how much more to the flows 30% over stop if the stops max out on gasoline 30% means are gonna be making the same power on mp5 it's not that worth it's not nothing that's good enough yet for to keep the high pressure and that's why no one's really running 85 in these yet is just playing with math 85 and you want like fifty percent more fuel thirty but then also you don't want another power up so be sure to pretend to make the same power maybe I guess then you want to turn the power up your superhero so methane pump gas or race gas is the easy way kind of smart the way that they do it they leave the Oh Tucson and then take them out out of the car which is a lot easier than spinning the wires in the car so this giant cat that's a lot of restriction the turbo and doesn't let it spool as quickly as if you don't have one look at that thing it's extremely hot because this cat creates like a massive bottleneck kind of similar to having a super tiny a are on a turbo opening it up let's exhaust gas for you a little bit man this thing is hot little side-by-side comparison what's ratted to is you don't even need gaskets that simplifies things a lot what do they have one of those weird conical ones if you don't if you're not very careful you will ruin it taking out and then how do you get them out the gaskets got like a hundred miles on it you'd be careful I'm gonna don't worry so this right here is the math kit that we're gonna be running but there's not really anything out yet in terms of a math kit for the Supra so we were just taking some measurements he actually has a charge by being made right now that basically replaces this because these tend to crack on BMWs that will have a little jet to spray meth and then we'll just spray right on the start button so pretty cool well it's gonna be really hard to see but one of the cool things I noticed most pulling the downpipe off there's a little clip that'll clamp on so when you undo those nuts it doesn't just fall like it's like a little metal tab up in here it's kind of like a push tab just kind of like a neat little thing I might be able to get it on there my hands probably not so I was a little bit worried about where we were gonna mount the tank for the meth and I was really dove doing it in the trunk would kind of eat up some of the trunk space for like fitting bikes or anything in the back worrying about it getting messed up and it just doesn't really look that clean but kind of like BMWs there's an empty cubby in the front or this will actually fit and he's put him in other cars in the past in there so we're just gonna throw it right in there it's deep huh deep enough there's a preview for tomorrow turn took the airbox off real quick look how accessible everything is done in there for the turbo what's gonna be cake to change it yeah a few hours so how's our house the meth install going good it's just really tight and technology in the trunk mode by putting in here it just makes us a nothing year trunk like advice that I will ever hit it but and simplifies wiring to well less less places to run the wires everything's contained here controller will be here it'll be good for that fact and it'll be pulled out of the way so there's just a lot of work to make it fit in here a lot of hours I just start it off as a joke I'm gonna die no on my bike and see if I can make a horsepower what what what's up I see you're gonna hold the bike for me hope you boys I make you gonna roll over there and Jordans just gonna throw on a quick tune just for the downpipe and then tomorrow we can basically what do you say I plug in three wires for the meth yeah it's three wires even plum two right here it's in the charge paper already oh yeah so this is the new charge plate by the way yeah power goes right here there's a ground right here and then we'll tap into the map center of the charge pipe right here one wire there so that's like the that's the longest water so three wires and the methods on y'all believe it that's really it so easy enough the plan is basically like I said we'll throw on the tune go rip over there it's actually an hour drive I thought it was way closer but I kind of committed to go so we'll rip over there I'll get to experience the car just with the down pipe tomorrow we'll plumb the math and then we can do a dyno with meth and down pipe that will change the turbo so kind of cool that were somewhat doing in stages just to see the saying you won't be all afraid unless you change like the older BMW silver head which probably bolts right up let me see so when we rip it apart and we do the downpipe I'm curious I have some more questions for you like technically about the engine so I think we cool to learn some so for sure let's do a baseline real quick it's cool so you're doing all the weird sorcery magic to get in a dino mode every single time you turn the car off and on you gotta do this hold the button until this screen comes up click down till you're on chassis dyno hold the button again and then just press it one more time and then you're in it and then every time turn the car off it automatically gets out of it every single time you do this something that's kind of interesting about this car is look at the variance these are all different polls back to back to back look at the variance on the horsepower we've got anything from 324 to 350 horsepower that's just bone stock torque looks like we got 400 what I'm curious about if you go to a bigger turbo on this setup is this something where you could raise the red line and see gains up top or is it limited mechanically yeah but what we'll do is if it doesn't fix power crudely so if it falls it won't fall off anymore so yeah dropping off you'll need to make power your 6100 7000 whatever the factory rev we might be so the interesting thing about like kind of having that more of a flat line torque curve and having it keep not really fall off the car won't necessarily feel that much faster but it'll put faster times down do you like the torque due to four key cars feels fast but it blows the tires off and you can't put the power down feels great I love tour yeah but it is not make car feel faster it meets our fuel fast it does not make it faster yeah its horsepower makes it faster so this stock is kind of set up how a lot of my drift cars are set up with tiny turbos so it just lights the wheels up but when you're trying to go fast in a straight line that's kind of exactly what you don't want yeah where if you can keep that torque or flat you're putting the same exact load on the tires all the way through the power band and then you're not spinning very much so all right hypothesis downpipe meth what do you think it'll make for 5470 so I'm gonna make like 500 messing race gas and math everything so mid 400s I'm with it yeah this should be fun should be like a perfect amount I think that would probably be the most fun for this in a daily sense but of course we have to go above and beyond to make it ridiculous so yeah I'm sure we'll do a bigger turbo after the pr2 his first time getting to look underneath this thing it's gonna be so nice working on a new car so we'll just go over to the shelf and downpipes let's see this looks like this might be for the soup it's obviously we're going cat lest let it flow a little bit better and it should sound pretty cool too so it's basically like factory V man that's huge that's so cool though place sounds sick huh not gonna lie with all these under trays it kind of looks like a BMW under here yeah everything is it says look where's be another level okay there you go I'm amazed at how easily serviceable everything is there's a lot of room yeah new one comes out with like twin turbo or some upgraded model yeah it's not gonna be as easy but as of right now there was Jordan action hasn't done well he's before so I'm excited to learn with him so it looks like there's two nuts on the bracket up here one v-band clamp and then the oh twos should be pretty simple it's super easy like this it's very similar layouts I'd go BMW be for the a placement everything yeah so it's like the same thing just have Noah a super yet it's all accessible mudroom just pile hot I got it similes I like to just let them spin and then do it after the fact a hundred percent yeah so I'm curious one of the cool things about this compared to other cars that I have is that the intercooler is actually built into the intake manifold do you think that's gonna become like a limitation where people are going to be front mounts on it to move all that a few inches is way more work than moving like if you just have an intake manifold Maya PDS an intake manifold normal you put a space or moves over I don't know to having you try moving this over an inch or 3/4 of an inch to put extra injectors it'll become more of an issue and researching wise it could be an issue but if it's as big as that is it's relatively large okay what he's talking about when you want around a unifier start making bigger power like my n54 people will put a spacer between the actual head and intake manifold so you can add secondary like traditional injectors because these are direct injection and from what I understand it's harder to get ud5 through direct injection just because of the crazy pressure because you need so much yeah but also it's like you have to find someone makes the only one coming needs to upgrade a fuel pump and still super questionable how much more to the flows 30% over stop if the stops max out on gasoline 30% means are gonna be making the same power on mp5 it's not that worth it's not nothing that's good enough yet for to keep the high pressure and that's why no one's really running 85 in these yet is just playing with math 85 and you want like fifty percent more fuel thirty but then also you don't want another power up so be sure to pretend to make the same power maybe I guess then you want to turn the power up your superhero so methane pump gas or race gas is the easy way kind of smart the way that they do it they leave the Oh Tucson and then take them out out of the car which is a lot easier than spinning the wires in the car so this giant cat that's a lot of restriction the turbo and doesn't let it spool as quickly as if you don't have one look at that thing it's extremely hot because this cat creates like a massive bottleneck kind of similar to having a super tiny a are on a turbo opening it up let's exhaust gas for you a little bit man this thing is hot little side-by-side comparison what's ratted to is you don't even need gaskets that simplifies things a lot what do they have one of those weird conical ones if you don't if you're not very careful you will ruin it taking out and then how do you get them out the gaskets got like a hundred miles on it you'd be careful I'm gonna don't worry so this right here is the math kit that we're gonna be running but there's not really anything out yet in terms of a math kit for the Supra so we were just taking some measurements he actually has a charge by being made right now that basically replaces this because these tend to crack on BMWs that will have a little jet to spray meth and then we'll just spray right on the start button so pretty cool well it's gonna be really hard to see but one of the cool things I noticed most pulling the downpipe off there's a little clip that'll clamp on so when you undo those nuts it doesn't just fall like it's like a little metal tab up in here it's kind of like a push tab just kind of like a neat little thing I might be able to get it on there my hands probably not so I was a little bit worried about where we were gonna mount the tank for the meth and I was really dove doing it in the trunk would kind of eat up some of the trunk space for like fitting bikes or anything in the back worrying about it getting messed up and it just doesn't really look that clean but kind of like BMWs there's an empty cubby in the front or this will actually fit and he's put him in other cars in the past in there so we're just gonna throw it right in there it's deep huh deep enough there's a preview for tomorrow turn took the airbox off real quick look how accessible everything is done in there for the turbo what's gonna be cake to change it yeah a few hours so how's our house the meth install going good it's just really tight and technology in the trunk mode by putting in here it just makes us a nothing year trunk like advice that I will ever hit it but and simplifies wiring to well less less places to run the wires everything's contained here controller will be here it'll be good for that fact and it'll be pulled out of the way so there's just a lot of work to make it fit in here a lot of hours I just start it the math and then we can do a dyno with meth and down pipe that will change the turbo so kind of cool that were somewhat doing in stages just to see the difference of each kind of version of how the
