I was really excited to open my January OwlCrate box because I'm very sensitive to smells and I wasn't sure if any of the items inside would have strong scents that might affect me. But as soon as I opened the box, I knew it was going to be a great surprise.

As I began to sort through the contents of the box, I noticed a bracelet with a little charm on the front that had some text underneath it with a little bubble surrounding it. This wasn't the first time I'd seen jewelry like this before, and I have to say that it's really cool. The company that made it is called Authored Adornments, which seems like a great name for someone who loves books and reading. The bracelet itself was pretty and had a velvety kind of feel to it. But what caught my eye the most was the text underneath the charm - "Rapunzel, let down your hair". I've seen this phrase before in fairy tales, but I'd never thought about what it could mean in a more spiritual sense.

As I continued to sort through the box, I stumbled upon something that I initially thought might be a pillowcase or tote bag. But as soon as I took it out of its plastic packaging, I knew it was something special. It was a giant pillow case with a beautiful design on it that read "Once upon a dream". The artwork was gorgeous and colorful, and I couldn't believe how big the pillow case was - it was huge! I love the style and color scheme of this design, and I think it would look amazing in my apartment or school. I'm definitely going to put it up on my art wall.

The final item in the box was a gorgeous art print featuring Red Riding Hood and the Wolf. The artwork was stunning, with beautiful colors and a unique style that really caught my eye. I love the way the artist had captured the essence of the characters, and the colors were so vibrant and appealing. Even though I don't know much about art, I can tell you that this piece is definitely beautiful and would look great in any room.

Of course, no OwlCrate box would be complete without a new book to add to my collection. And what better book than "The Cruel Prince" by Holly Black? Unfortunately, I'd already read this book before and owned it already - but that didn't stop me from being excited about receiving another copy! The author's signature on the inside cover was also a nice touch, along with a little sticker that said "There's always something left to lose". Overall, I was really impressed with how much thought had gone into this box and the variety of items included.

As an added bonus, there was a note from Holly Black herself in the book, which was incredibly exciting. The design on the back of the book also included a little message that read "Sharpen your blade, heart". It's clear that Holly Black is someone who knows how to create a truly immersive and engaging story - even if it wasn't my favorite book. But I do understand why so many people love it! If you haven't already had a chance to read this book, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

Finally, there was a little newsletter included in the box that revealed some of the secrets for what's in next month's OwlCrate box. It turns out that next month's box will include an exclusive item from Evey Bookish, which is one of my favorite shops - I love their book-inspired artwork and designs! for this month has like a mirror like the magic mirror on it which is also kind of looking like the mirror of err said and I don't know what this girl is seeing in this mirror part from herself being a princess but this is very very pretty I like the artwork the very first thing I'm seeing on top is the pin that matches the artwork of the card and the next thing that's in here is in this other little owl crate box and let's open this because I have no idea what this is okay so in the box was this wax burner and it's really really pretty it has like cutouts on the back I really don't know how to use a wax burner but the back of the box gives you some instructions and it says the place a piece of like wax in the top bowl and then you light a tea light candle at the bottom and of course next they have some wax melts because alyc rate is always looking out for us so you can use it with the wax burner and it goes perfectly together and I'm really excited to try this out these are made by spire side candles and the theme is Hansel and Gretel so I'm wondering what this smells like because I can only imagine like candy okay I have like not open this like barely opened it at all and I can already smell it it smells like gingerbread and like candy and it's a very very strong and I'm really sensitive to smells so I don't want to open this right now because I feel like it might start to hurt my head but it doesn't smell very good the next thing that I'm seeing here is this bracelet and it has like a little thing on the front that has like some text underneath it with like a little that says once upon a dream on it and it's so pretty I love this so much I'm literally gonna put this in my apartment at school on my bed it's beautiful I love the artwork ok the next thing that's in here is this gorgeous art print and it is this like red riding-hood and the wolf-like art print and it's so so beautiful I love the color schemes and I love just like the style of it I don't really know anything about art so I can't describe this to you properly but it's beautiful and I'm absolutely putting this up on my art wall at school and lastly of course we have the book in this month's box and that is none other than the cruel prints by Holly black I have already read this book I already own a copy I already have the Ark so this will be my third copy of this book I've actually already read this book and sadly it was not my favorite I didn't love it as much as everyone else seems to be but I am very excited that they included like a totally new cover like this is another out great exclusive cover and they've been having al Qaeda exclusive covers for basically every box for the past several months and this one is completely different from the original this is what the original US cover looks like and this is the owlcrate one like they're completely different covers personally I have to say I do like the white one better just because I like how like dynamic this one is and this one's just a bit too dark for me but it's very cool that they're able to do this so along with the book there is this little sticker that says there's always something left to lose and then we have the note from Holly black as well oh and on the back of it has like a little print as well it says sharpen your blade heart in your heart and if I'm not mistaken from what I've heard this is actually a personally signed copy of the book by Holly black who has like the greatest signature but if you don't know what this book is about it basically about this girl named Jude and her twin sister and her older sister who are all kidnapped by these fairies when they're very very young and brought from the human world to live in the fairy world Jude's older sister is a fairy herself but her and her twin are not fairies they're humans and they kind of have to adapt to living in this fairy world and then a lot happens from there there's a lot of like fairy politics of the world as well and like I said sadly it was not my favorite book but I do understand why so many people have been enjoying it there's a lot of magic in it and the characters are very dynamic and I can totally see the appeal for it so if this an opposite this sounds interesting to you I definitely recommend giving it a try and seeing what you think of it yourself and then of course we have the little newsletter
