AWESOME Mini PC Deep Dive and Review - SundaePC

Here is the reorganized text:

Hi everyone, today I'm going to be reviewing a Mini PC that my friend sent over to me, it's called the Sunday PC. Now let's go ahead and hit compare.

If you look down here at all the people who have done benchmarks on my computer back here and on this same processor here, it's clear that this Mini PC is significantly faster than what I'm used to. This Mini PC gets a 7,718 score, while my computer back here only got a 7,519 score. That's almost double the speed of what I'm used to.

Okay, so let's take a closer look at this Mini PC and see what makes it tick. It has the new Intel Iris XE Graphics, which is going to allow you to play games like Roblox or low-power games like Fortnite or Rocket League without any issues. However, if you want to play more demanding games like Elden Ring or Hogwarts Legacy, you might find a bit of graphics quality loss.

One of the things I wanted to highlight about this Mini PC is its upgradeability. It's really easy to take apart and upgrade the components. You can see that it comes with an NVMe drive, as well as two memory cards. The drive is 512 GB, but you can replace it if you need more storage.

I also noticed that it has a heat sink and a small fan to keep everything cool. However, I thought this was going to be a fanless design, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out otherwise.

Now, let's compare it to my laptop, which is an i7-8750H. The Mini PC only gets a 10,917 score, which is significantly lower than the laptop's score of 17,919. However, that's not surprising given the difference in specs.

Another thing I wanted to mention is how easy it is to upgrade the components. You just need to take out four screws and remove the bottom plate. The outer shell can also be removed if you want to access the other components.

I hope this review has been informative for you, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Mini PC. Give me a like, give me a thumbs up, and subscribe for more content. Until next time, this is Carl from Techville Goodies, and I'm out.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up everybody this is Carl from technical goodies and today we are looking at a Mini PC yes this is the Sunday Mini PC and it basically comes in one sort of spec you buy the one that's on the site but the the main goal behind that is to provide one device that can kind of handle all your stuff right it's going to be a Powerhouse for doing Photoshop for doing Windows tasks it's not going to be your gaming machine even though you can play some games on there it has the general int uh onboard graphics card uh built into the chip but this is a Powerhouse so let's get into it so in the Box you have the PC itself and what they did was they wanted to make a very nice looking PC that complement your desk when it's sitting on there and as you can see here it does have a very slim profile looks very nice in the box also you have a sort of non slip outer casing here if you want so you can basically take this and slide it in and what it does is it goes ahead and it protects all your ports in the back here and it also gives you a nice rubber coating that way if you want to travel with it or you want to take into your backpack or something like that uh it has a little bit of protection in the box at the bottom here we also have a couple of cords I'll go through those here in a minute and uh just so you know I'm going to go through a lot of things for this mini piece see a lot of different ways to use it different ways that you can use it on your desk and on the go so I'll put all the chapters Down Below in case you're looking for something specific okay so in the Box you do get a standard power cord okay now this is a low power consumption Mini PC which is good but they give you a power cord to go with it now you have different options with this you have the ability to power it with the power cord or you can power it Bea via USBC I've used it and it only seems to use right around 40 Watts um but to be safe uh this particular block here is a 64 Watts so in case uh in case the machine pulls extra power when using Photoshop or doing anything like that you want to make sure to have that covered now another cool thing about this Mini PC is that you have the ability to customize it a little bit with the color so the base comes in Black like you see here but they have an add-on plastic bottom here that you can get in different colors and so that little plastic rubber bottom that I showed you before you can actually replace that to fit your setup now when they offered to send this over to me to share with you all thanks to them for sending it over Folks at Sunday PC I said go ahead and send me a white version too because I'm hoping to have kind of a black and white setup I've got my keyboard here that is a white keyboard I have a another mouse that's sort of a clear and white and I have this so when I do my new setup this will fit fit perfectly into it so also in the Box you get a DP to HDMI DP stands for display port and that basically can plug into a lot of the higher-end graphics cards um higher-end computers to allow you to have those higher resolutions if you don't have a monitor that supports DP then they give you this little connector here that will go from DP which is on the back of this to HDMI but we'll get into this in a minute each one of the USBC ports that they have on here also supports power delivery and video signal now the one thing that I noticed when I opened this box is they don't provide an HDMI cable and they don't provide USBC cables I I think what they want to do is give you the ability to hook up what you want to hook up and not exactly Define which way you're going to hook it okay so let's go ahead and hook it up with the default power block here so there's nothing different to this than just standard uh your standard power block like normal plug it into the wall then plug it into the back of and it's ready to go now let's look at some of the ports here on the back you're going to see that you have a DP Port that's for this connector here you also have two USB 3.0 ports you have an Ethernet Jack so if you want to hardwire it into your network you can you have a USBC over here and then if we go to the front you'll see that it has another USBC another usba a and an audio jack and I'm not sure how well comes across on the screen here because of the lighting but you have the ability to Output to speakers if you if you'd like okay so all that together and the combination together gives you kind of this powerful sort of multi-use device in a small little mini PC box Okay so we've now got it plugged in now the question is what's it going to show up on okay so I have my inew dual monitor setup here okay so from the front here you can see that it has fingerprints on it um but it is a stacked dual monitor setup so I'm going to open it up here and face it upward a little bit so you can see it through the top down camera I don't have a ton of room on the desk but you'll be able to see what I'm talking about so one option with this screen here is that I can hook it up through HDMI but I'm not going to because the power of a Mini PC like this that is built around sort of USBC and that newer technology is that this will run off of one USBC cable so I'm going to go ahead and plug this one single USB cable into the back of the machine here so once I have plugged in the monitor itself the PC automatically turned on because it does have UEFI support and that's that's something built into the BIOS and the into the motherboard that allows you to schedule the startup of it for it to automatically come back on once a power outage happens or if something is plugged into it it'll come on so it knows when you're ready to use it um one good thing about that is that if you want to use this as a home media server or a Home Server you don't have to worry about like if power goes off and it comes back on it'll automatically boot up and be ready to go so in the front here I will go ahead and just plug in this mouse give myself a little bit of room here and now I've also hooked up a keyboard so now we're good to go now I would prefer use like a Bluetooth keyboard and a mouse if I'm traveling or going somewhere but this is what I have on my desk and this is what I'll go ahead and use okay so let's recap what I've done so far is I've taken one small Mini PC I've plugged it in and I have plugged in one USBC cable and I'm running two different monitors as you can see here from the top down view if I open up a browser then I open up a file explorer you can see that both of them are running through one USBC cable C okay now let's take that a step further you also have another USBC port on the front here and that DP input on the back allowing you to use the converter to HDMI if you want or you can use DP straight out of the back now in theory I would be able to use one two three four different monitors but before we do that I want to do one other thing which is actually super cool uh I want to take this power bank here okay so this is the powm 150 wat power bank that I did a review on a couple weeks ago all right so this is enough to power the PC and the monitors okay so let me go ahead and shut down the PC here I'm going to unplug the power cord that came with it so simple simple block that came with it and I'm going to take a power cable for USBC okay so as you can see this is nothing more than USBC to USBC I'm going to go ahead and just plug it into the back one here for power I'm going to plug the monitor into the front Port here and I'm going to go ahead and plug it into the power bank so now the power bank is providing power the PC is turning on so the only thing that I have plugged in and I know there's chords here because I have the keyboard the mouse the display and the power but the only thing that's powering this Monitor and the keyboards is this power bank okay now if I look at this power bank right now you can see that one good thing about this power bank is that it shows the wattage it's currently using 20 to 21 watts of power okay now when we get into the specs in a little bit I'll explain why it's so low power and why this is so important for having a mini computer that is at your desk and can work as your desktop computer as well as taking it with you on travel so that gives you a ton of flexibility you can either plug it in directly with the power cable that it came with plug it into the wall but if you're on travel let's say you're on a plane or something like that and you don't have a plug um or you're in a car that doesn't have a a plug to be able to use uh you can use this battery to power the device and the monitors themselves so it's a completely portable setup that you can take with you and if you have a Bluetooth mouse and maybe a Bluetooth keyboard you only have two wires hooked up to this one power coming in from the battery and one going out to your monitors so let's go ahead and talk about the specs of this machine I'm going to read off some things from the website and looking at the website here it does show that they have a a black sleeve a blue sleeve a dark blue sleeve a pink sleeve and and a sort of cream colored sleeve if you're interested in that but the two type- c ports are up to 10 GB data transfer speed so that's super fast both type-c ports also support power delivery and video output as we've seen there's three type A with up to 10 GB data transfer speed that's USB 3.2 display port 1.4a one thing to note about that display port is the maximum resolution of this is ridiculous it's 7,680 by 4,320 that's 8K of course but I don't have an 8K monitor uh I only have one 4k monitor downstairs so this one here is 1080p but it's using two here so it's kind of giving me that larger screen but a full 8K display support using the digital um using the display port technology is huge so if you want to have one large monitor where you do your editing or you do your image manipulation you can do that and then you can have side monitors to that hook up through the USBC and to note though the maximum resolution for using two to three monitors is 4K okay so if you have two 4K monitors of three um that's fine but it's not going to have 8K and 4K because there is limited power on all machines I mean almost all machines will have that sort of limitation but to have that limitation so high in a Mini PC I I've been super impressed at this point in time so again that's the surface level kind of stats but what I want to do is I want to run a couple things on here and get a little bit more information about this machine and kind of tell you what you'll be getting if you do decide to purchase it okay so the first thing I'm going to want to run is OBS okay CU I want to capture everything that's going on here in this screen while we're doing the testing and showing you all the information so let me open up OBS and OBS is actually a really good tool to be able to see kind of what kind of CPU hit you're putting on a machine now what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and set this up so that it is recording so now what I've done is I've I've gone ahead and set this up so that it is recording both the top Monitor and the bottom monitor so if you look down here in the corner and I'll try to highlight this in the video CPU while recording a 4K resolution uh realtime screen is only using about 7% of the CPU now I've had machines before like this old machine back here that I kind of forget to turn on every once in a while when I'm doing my recording um I couldn't even record a general 1080p uh without that being maxed out on my CPU okay so that shows really good for sort of the power of this so but what I wanted to do was wanted to go ahead and open up this hardware monitor now H it's called HW info I'll leave a link down below and what I like to do is be able to get this and what it does is it shows all of the stats for the machine that you're on so if we're looking at here it it has an i5 1235 U okay now how do you know what that means so if it has a u at the end of it what that means is that it has a low low power consumption similar to like a low power Ultrabook laptop something that doesn't use a lot of power and allows you to be able to power the device for longer but still has a really powerful sort of CPU in it um it is the Alder Lake u15 282 this does come with 16 GB that's 4800 MHz of ddr5 memory so that's super quick memory uh built into here and that's what you can see right here I'm going to kind of try to highlight it here 16 gigs of dr5 and as you can see right here it does have 10 cores so the so the processor has a full set of 10 cores that it can use I've had computers that have two cores four cores eight cores this say 10 I mean you can go up to I don't know what's the maximum level of cores that you can have uh but uh 10 is awesome uh pcie 2.0 I mean I can get into so many of these I can get into so many of the details of what's inside here what I'll do is I'll make sure that uh if you want to you can pause and take a look at all this information information that's on here um what I also like to do is take a look at the sensors okay in Hardware info it gives you oh so many sensors I mean so many sensors you probably don't even care about I especially if all you do is just use your computer but what I'm going to do is show you a couple of the top things so you know that this is a good quality machine it isn't going to cause you any problems one is the core temperature now I was running all sorts of things earlier and the core temperature only got up to 53° C put that into perspective the lowest minimum was 39 so it went from 39 to 51 my PC downstairs that I use that doesn't have the best air flow and it is a full on everything's on that can get up to about 70° C and when you get 70 80 90 that's when it starts to Red Line and you don't want it to be that high but it's it'll start to throttle your CPU performance 50 you know is really good and in here if you open this up what you'll see is that it does have 10 cores um one two three one two all right two of them are primary cores the rest of the eight are ecores now what that means is basically primary core does all this stuff and it hands off stuff to the ecores um when that first came out I know people had issues with games and ecores but um that just means that you're going to have more efficiency in those cores when when it comes to power usage on the machine itself now what I like to do whenever I am looking up a machine I like to go to PassMark software here um it's online and it's free and what it allows you to do is it allows you to compare up to five different CPUs okay so what I'll do is I'll go ahead and look up back because I know that I have an i5 8400h okay so in this machine back here I have an i5 8400h um this is an all-in-one machine so it has also the lower um energy usage processor um and it is a 2.5 GHz okay so let's go ahead and put this one in also and so this is the i51 1235 U so let's go ahead and compare these because I know what I have back here and I know I've used that for years until I upgraded but I also know that whenever I go to purchase a new laptop a new desktop computer and I want to look at what the processor is I buy a lot of older Dells off of dellrefurbished.com so I want to make sure that that processor I know in my head what comparison it is to what I usually use so let's go ahead and hit compare and if you look down here at all the people who have done benchmarks on my computer back here and on this same processor here it this computer back here gets a 7,718 score this Mini PC on my desk right here the Sunday PC that processor gets a 13,5 559 so it's almost double the speed of what I'm used to okay it has the new Intel Iris XE Graphics so that's going to allow you to play things like Roblox or really sort of low power games like fortnite or or rocket League or something like that so if you if you want to play those types of G types of games this will work perfectly fine with that but if you're going to go play I don't know Elden ring or Hogwarts leacy you might find a little bit of Graphics quality loss definitely on this cuz it's not a gaming machine but I really did want to highlight exactly um what the differences are so let's go ahead and take a look at one more comparison now I have an i79750h in my laptop here and this is a beast of a laptop but if you come down here um this Beast of a laptop only gets a 10,917 score while the Mini PC is up in the 13 still so it kind of that's a really easy way when you're looking at machines to get some sort of idea in your head because the numbering is so crazy I mean you got the um all the different numbers from Intel you got the AMD stuff it's very difficult to know so one of the other things that I wanted to do was to show you some of the inner workings of this and show you how this can be upgraded handy dandy pen screwdriver here from My Team unboxing and so what they've done is they've made it very easy for you to get into the bottom here because it is an upgradeable machine when it comes to smaller machines and laptops a lot of companies don't allow you to upgrade them and what that does it means you're kind of stuck with what you purchased once you've taken out the four very easy to take out screws they're not small they're not proprietary screws they're just Philip head screws you take off the bottom plate here this metal bottom plate here and then you can also take off the outer shell here if you want okay so inside you can see that you do have this uh nvme drive right here sort of your SSD drive as well as the two memory cards now this does come with two8 gigs so that equals your 16 if you're going to want to upgrade to 32 you're going to want to replace both of those shouldn't be super expensive but it gives you that option as well as this pcie 512 GB Drive uh you can take that out and replace it but you can see why this runs so efficiently right you have a heat SN over here and uh a small little fan in here which is actually very quiet I did need actually I thought this was a fan list but it does have something in here that's sort of pulling that and sucking that heat out and when you're all done you're going to want to put the sides back on put the bottom back in screw it back together and it's upgraded depending on what you want to do you can do that so I hope that that was informative uh thanks to the folks at Sunday PC for sending this over this really is a nice little mini PC uh I like the fact that it really just comes in one configuration because it's kind of the best configuration that you want a lot of times when you're looking at something you kind of want to undercut what your features might be based on price but I think that this is an affordable option for a really good power Power House machine that you can have sitting on your desk and looking extremely nice or if you want to take the whole thing on the road unplug it take your power bank with you take your portable monitor monitors with you and you're good to go so if this helped you anyway if you found anything informative in there just give me a like give me a thumbs up and subscribe I'd love to see you back but until next time this is Carl from techville goodies and I'm outwhat's up everybody this is Carl from technical goodies and today we are looking at a Mini PC yes this is the Sunday Mini PC and it basically comes in one sort of spec you buy the one that's on the site but the the main goal behind that is to provide one device that can kind of handle all your they have an add-on plastic bottom here that you can get in different colors and so that little plastic rubber bottom that I showed you before you can actually replace that to fit your setup now when link down below and what I like to do is be able to get this and what it does is it shows all of the stats for the machine that you're on so if we're looking at here it it has an i5 1235 U okay now how do you know what that means so if it has a u at the end of it what that means is that it has a low low power consumption similar to like a low power Ultrabook laptop something that doesn't use a lot of power and allows you to be able to power the device for longer but still has a really powerful sort of CPU in it um it is the Alder Lake u15 282 this does come with 16 GB that's 4800 MHz of ddr5 memory so that's super quick memory uh built into here and that's what you can see right here I'm going to kind of try to highlight it here 16 gigs of dr5 and as you can see right here it does have 10 cores so the so the processor has a full set of 10 cores that it can use I've had computers that have two cores four cores eight cores this say 10 I mean you can go up to I don't know what's the maximum level of cores that you can have uh but uh 10 is awesome uh pcie 2.0 I mean I can get into so many of these I can get into so many of the details of what's inside here what I'll do is I'll make sure that uh if you want to you can pause and take a look at all this information information that's on here um what I also like to do is take a look at the sensors okay in Hardware info it gives you oh so many sensors I mean so many sensors you probably don't even care about I especially if all you do is just use your computer but what I'm going to do is show you a couple of the top things so you know that this is a good quality machine it isn't going to cause you any problems one is the core temperature now I was running all sorts of things earlier and the core temperature only got up to 53° C put that into perspective the lowest minimum was 39 so it went from 39 to 51 my PC downstairs that I use that doesn't have the best air flow and it is a full on everything's on that can get up to about 70° C and when you get 70 80 90 that's when it starts to Red Line and you don't want it to be that high but it's it'll start to throttle your CPU performance 50 you know is really good and in here if you open this up what you'll see is that it does have 10 cores um one two three one two all right two of them are primary cores the rest of the eight are ecores now what that means is basically primary core does all this stuff and it hands off stuff to the ecores um when that first came out I know people had issues with games and ecores but um that just means that you're going to have more efficiency in those cores when when it comes to power usage on the machine itself now what I like to do whenever I am looking up a machine I like to go to PassMark software here um it's online and it's free and what it allows you to do is it allows you to compare up to five different CPUs okay so what I'll do is I'll go ahead and look up back because I know that I have an i5 8400h okay so in this machine back here I have an i5 8400h um this is an all-in-one machine so it has also the lower um energy usage processor um and it is a 2.5 GHz okay so let's go ahead and put this one in also and so this is the i51 1235 U so let's go ahead and compare these because I know what I have back here and I know I've used that for years until I upgraded but I also know that whenever I go to purchase a new laptop a new desktop computer and I want to look at what the processor is I buy a lot of older Dells off of dellrefurbished.com so I want to make sure that that processor I know in my head what comparison it is to what I usually use so let's go ahead and hit compare and if you look down here at all the people who have done benchmarks on my computer back here and on this same processor here it this computer back here gets a 7,718 score this Mini PC on my desk right here the Sunday PC that processor gets a 13,5 559 so it's almost double the speed of what I'm used to okay it has the new Intel Iris XE Graphics so that's going to allow you to play things like Roblox or really sort of low power games like fortnite or or rocket League or something like that so if you if you want to play those types of G types of games this will work perfectly fine with that but if you're going to go play I don't know Elden ring or Hogwarts leacy you might find a little bit of Graphics quality loss definitely on this cuz it's not a gaming machine but I really did want to highlight exactly um what the differences are so let's go ahead and take a look at one more comparison now I have an i79750h in my laptop here and this is a beast of a laptop but if you come down here um this Beast of a laptop only gets a 10,917 score while the Mini PC is up in the 13 still so it kind of that's a really easy way when you're looking at machines to get some sort of idea in your head because the numbering is so crazy I mean you got the um all the different numbers from Intel you got the AMD stuff it's very difficult to know so one of the other things that I wanted to do was to show you some of the inner workings of this and show you how this can be upgraded handy dandy pen screwdriver here from My Team unboxing and so what they've done is they've made it very easy for you to get into the bottom here because it is an upgradeable machine when it comes to smaller machines and laptops a lot of companies don't allow you to upgrade them and what that does it means you're kind of stuck with what you purchased once you've taken out the four very easy to take out screws they're not small they're not proprietary screws they're just Philip head screws you take off the bottom plate here this metal bottom plate here and then you can also take off the outer shell here if you want okay so inside you can see that you do have this uh nvme drive right here sort of your SSD drive as well as the two memory cards now this does come with two8 gigs so that equals your 16 if you're going to want to upgrade to 32 you're going to want to replace both of those shouldn't be super expensive but it gives you that option as well as this pcie 512 GB Drive uh you can take that out and replace it but you can see why this runs so efficiently right you have a heat SN over here and uh a small little fan in here which is actually very quiet I did need actually I thought this was a fan list but it does have something in here that's sort of pulling that and sucking that heat out and when you're all done you're going to want to put the sides back on put the bottom back in screw it back together and it's upgraded depending on what you want to do you can do that so I hope that that was informative uh thanks to the folks at Sunday PC for sending this over this really is a nice little mini PC uh I like the fact that it really just comes in one configuration because it's kind of the best configuration that you want a lot of times when you're looking at something you kind of want to undercut what your features might be based on price but I think that this is an affordable option for a really good power Power House machine that you can have sitting on your desk and looking extremely nice or if you want to take the whole thing on the road unplug it take your power bank with you take your portable monitor monitors with you and you're good to go so if this helped you anyway if you found anything informative in there just give me a like give me a thumbs up and subscribe I'd love to see you back but until next time this is Carl from techville goodies and I'm out
