Microsoft Touch Mouse Artist Series Unboxing

The New Touch Mouse from Microsoft: An In-Depth Review

In this article, we will delve into the details of the new touch mouse from Microsoft, specifically the Artist Series designed by Dian Chuk. The touch mouse is an innovative input device that utilizes touch-sensitive technology to provide a more intuitive and interactive user experience.

The Packaging and Design of the Touch Mouse

When we first opened the box, we were impressed with the thoughtful design of the packaging. The box itself was a nice size, making it easy to store and transport. The lid of the box featured a magnetic latch, which added a touch of sophistication to the overall design. As we lifted the lid, we noticed that the mouse was nestled in a plush interior, surrounded by foam inserts to prevent movement during transit.

The Artist Series Design

The most notable feature of the touch mouse is its elegant design, courtesy of Dian Chuk. The mouse boasts an ambidextrous design, allowing both left-handed and right-handed users to comfortably grasp the device. The surface of the mouse is designed to be completely touch-sensitive, allowing for precise cursor control.

Our Expectations from the Touch Mouse

As we began to anticipate the capabilities of the touch mouse, we couldn't help but wonder if it would live up to our expectations. Would it truly provide a more intuitive user experience? Would it be compatible with multiple operating systems? We were eager to find out.

Unboxing and First Impressions

The first thing that struck us when we unboxed the touch mouse was its compact size. The device fit neatly into the palm of our hand, making it easy to navigate through tight spaces. As we removed the protective covering from the sensor surface, we noticed that the mouse felt surprisingly smooth and comfortable to hold.

Putting the Touch Mouse to the Test

As we began to test the touch mouse, we were struck by its intuitive design. The device responded quickly to our touch, allowing for precise cursor control. We were able to navigate through menus with ease, selecting options with a few gentle taps on the sensor surface.

The Blu Track Technology

One of the standout features of the touch mouse is its Blu track technology. This innovative feature allows the device to track movement across multiple surfaces, including glass and other non-conductive materials. The dual battery slots also make it possible for the device to last longer, as we won't have to worry about frequent recharging.

The Transceiver and Extension Cable

To ensure maximum compatibility and convenience, Microsoft has included an extension cable with the touch mouse. This allows users to place the device away from their computer without worrying about signal interference. The transceiver itself is also designed to be compact and secure, preventing accidental disconnections.

Paperwork and Instructions

As we delved deeper into the box, we found a comprehensive instruction manual that guided us through the setup process of the touch mouse. The manual was clear and concise, providing detailed instructions on how to pair the device with our computer and navigate its features.

The Gestures and Touch Controls

One of the most exciting aspects of the touch mouse is its gesture-based interface. The device allows for a range of gestures, including swipes, taps, and pinches. We were able to explore these features in depth, finding that they added a new level of interactivity to our computing experience.

Travel-Friendly Design

Finally, we wanted to see how the touch mouse would perform on-the-go. As we popped the device into its protective case and secured it with the velcro strap, we felt confident that it would withstand the rigors of travel. The design is compact and secure, making it easy to carry in a bag or purse.

Pricing and Availability

Microsoft has priced the touch mouse at an affordable $79.99, making it accessible to a wide range of consumers. While we couldn't find any information on discounts or promotions at the time of writing, we suspect that prices may fluctuate based on availability and retailer offerings.

Conclusion

In conclusion, our experience with the new touch mouse from Microsoft has been nothing short of impressive. The device's elegant design, intuitive interface, and innovative Blu track technology make it an attractive option for anyone looking to upgrade their computing experience. We are eager to see how this technology evolves in the future, and we highly recommend the touch mouse to anyone interested in exploring new ways to interact with their computer.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi everyone this is Aaron for zotech and we're going to take a look at the new touch mouse from Microsoft we'll take a look and unbox this this is the artist series from Dian chuk and if we look inside it's the full touch mouse so the top should be completely touch sensitive it's ambidextrous left right and it has a nice design done by Dan chuk on the top here so let's go ahead and take a look at it now it's interesting it says it's for Windows 7 only and because apple has a touch mouse I wonder if it's compatible although it says only for Windows 7 so it's hard to say but I do like this box it's a nice take on design it's got a magnetic latch in it right here and it's really pretty nice it's a different take on I know it's just a box but I do like design so it's a little bit different take on Microsoft's designs and I like this much better than the previous ones so the top just pops off like that that the bottom pops open and we just pull this out I guess yeah like that and it's snapped in that's pretty interesting and without breaking it we pop it off at a 45° angle there we go so nice little extra thought there we have a USB dongle is or a USB key or whatever you want to call this uh transceiver and we've got our bottom WR now this is a nice feel Mouse I I expect it to be a little bit more slippery on the top but let's go ahead and put the batteries in it's a Blu track Mouse and I really like Microsoft's Blu track technology it's a blue LED that uh allows it to track on more surfaces than it normally would and these dual battery Slots make it last really long as far as battery is concerned so there's the bottom of the mouse and you can see it's signed by D chuk there and obviously it's printed on but it is sign and there's the mouse itself and we have our little transceiver now inside the box we have an extension cable for the transceiver so if we don't have our computer next to us and we want better reception we can just sit this simply put this in here put this wherever we want it's got a nice piece of tape with velcro it looks like yeah velcro and it's an extension cable so that's pretty nice see we can get the paperwork out here and here's the paperwork more Velcro so configuration or install installation so we've got one they really paid attention to design even on this pamphlet here which is very nice it's telling you the different gestures it has so it has some different swipes which we'll be checking out when we look into this a little bit further but the mouse itself is pretty nice in the hand it's nice and big this Arch fits nicely in my palm and the whole Mouse clicks and it'll be interesting to see how easy the touch works so there's some different gestures there's one swipe two and three finger swipe the three does sort of I don't really know what to call it on Microsoft but it's like an expose on a Mac where you swipe three fingers and it shows all your windows at once I don't know what they call it on a on a PC I don't know if it's specific to this mouse or what but I I don't remember that being on there so we have that and we do have uh the different gestures I'll be sure to check this out and see how well it works we also have on the bottom this is a spot for our transceiver and let me get it out of this dongle here and when we're done we pop it in here shut the mouse off and it's good for travel so we don't lose it I'm always afraid I'm going to lose these little tiny trans coners but it just pops in there clicks down in and it's secure so it's pretty nice like I said it's $79.99 is the retail price you may be able to get it less expensive other places such as Amazon or Best Buy just depends what they're doing but the actual retail price is just under $8 and it's a really nice Mouse it'll be nice to see what what it feels like over time I really like Microsoft's Hardware division so they make some really nice things and design some really nice pieces of uh mice and I was going to say art but I don't know if you consider art it's kind of nice so let's go ahead and take a look at this in a week or two and see how well it works then if you have any questions or comments or you have one of these please let me know below and what you think of it thanks for watching this is Aaron I'll see you next timehi everyone this is Aaron for zotech and we're
