iPhone 7 Plus vs. Huawei Mate 9 Pro Speed Test
What's Up Guys: Speed Test Showdown Between iPhone 7 Plus and Huawei Mate 9 Pro
It's been a couple of weeks since my last video, and I'm finally back with a new one that you guys have been heavily requesting. I was on holiday break at the end of 2016 when I got sick, and unfortunately, I'm still not fully recovered from it. As a result, excuse my nasally voice in this video. However, if you're not following me on Twitter, you might not know that I'm active pretty much everywhere. If you want to stay updated, please follow me on Twitter, as I'll be posting links to the description below for all the latest updates.
One thing that's been buzzing around is the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, which is supposedly a beast of a phone when it comes to speed and performance. It uses machine learning to optimize itself and claims to be one of the fastest phones out there. I'm excited to put this phone to the test against the iPhone 7 Plus, which is arguably the number one contender in terms of speed right now.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro comes with a whopping 6 gigabytes of RAM, which is more than double what the standard Mate 9 has. It also shares the same Kirin 935 processor as the regular Mate 9, but that's not all - it's an upgraded version of this processor specifically designed for the Pro model. With these specs, I'm confident that the Mate 9 Pro will be able to give the iPhone 7 Plus a run for its money in this speed test.
Let's get started with the test! We'll begin by starting the stopwatches on both phones and taking an immediate selfie, which shows off the quicker animations of the Mate 9 Pro. Moving on to the second row, we see that the iPhone is actually struggling a bit on Facebook, allowing the Mate 9 Pro to jump ahead even more in the speed test.
However, it's worth noting that past tests have shown that the Mate 9 Pro will need all the help it can get early on against phones like the iPhone. These devices tend to be beasts when it comes to processing-intensive apps and games, which means they'll quickly close the gap between them. Nevertheless, I'm optimistic about our chances with the Mate 9 Pro.
In the gaming row, both phones are neck and neck as they work on Subway Surfers - a game that requires quick reflexes and rapid processing power. After completing the game, we move on to Flip Diving, another game that demands top-notch performance from your phone's processor. In this case, however, the Mate 9 Pro manages to hold its ground just behind the iPhone 7 Plus.
With both phones now in the final row, it's time to power through Spotify and start loading up ESPN - a task that requires maximum processing capacity. And guess what? The iPhone 7 Plus still manages to finish first with a time of 1 minute and 24 seconds, while the Mate 9 Pro comes in just six seconds later at 1 minute and 30 seconds.
It's clear that the iPhone 7 Plus is the current king of speed, but it was a close call - we're talking only six seconds behind one of the fastest phones available. And hey, being in second place isn't all bad! The Mate 9 Pro may not have won this round, but its 6 gigabytes of RAM and enhanced processor make it an absolute beast when it comes to speed.
And that's a wrap on today's video - thanks for watching, guys! I'll see you all in the next episode.

follow me on Twitter you know that at the end of 2016 I was on holiday break and when I got back I had the bad luck of getting sick I'm actually still a little bit under the weather so excuse my nasally voice but if you guys aren't following me I'm at bomba pretty much everywhere so if you guys want to stay in the loop you guys want to have the best way to contact me I'll be putting the links down below in the description I'm also gonna be doing Facebook live streams so if you guys follow me there I think that'll be a lot of fun but anyways I'm finally back and I'm back with the video that you guys have been heavily requesting and that is a speed test between these two phones right you got the iPhone 7 plus and probably the number one contender right now and the huawei mate 9 now always been talking this phone up ok like they've been talking about how it's really fast and how it uses machine learning to stay fast over time like it optimizes itself so I'm excited to see how it stacks up against the iPhone this is the pro model so it's got 6 gigabytes RAM instead of only 4 and of course it has the same keren 960 processor found in a normal may 9 but with that said let's go ahead and get right into it alright we'll kick things off like we always do by starting the stopwatches on each phone and then immediately taking a selfie where the may 9 pro and it's quicker animations gets the lead over the iPhone 7 plus already moving on to the second row where the iPhone is actually struggling a bit on the Facebook app allowing the May 9 to jump even further ahead early on in the speed test but if past be tests are any indicator the may 9 Pro is gonna need all the help it can get early on as the iPhone has proven to be a beast when it comes to the more processor intensive apps like lab sit where it actually closes the gap between it in the main nine so going into the gaming row both phones are neck and neck as they work on subway surfers where it looks like the iPhone has actually taken the lead finishing up with subway surfers and moving on to flip diving but unlike many phones that have come before it's the may 9 Pro is still hanging in there only a half step or so behind the iPhone so it actually has a real shot at making a comeback not only in the second lap with its six gigabytes of RAM but right here in the first lap which is pretty damn impressive but the iPhone 7 plus bidding of fumble style speedtest champ for nothing with the blazing through asphalt 8 and finishing up with smash hit here putting it a full app ahead as it starts working on the last leg of this first lap so with the may 9 finishing the game in row it joins the iPhone in the last row here as it powers through Spotify and starts loading up ESPN as the iPhone is now working on loading both the mobile and the full versions of the Amazon website and there you go the iPhone 7 plus finishes the first type at a time of 1 minute and 24 seconds with the may 9 Pro coming in only 6 seconds later with a time of 1 minute and 30 so this is the closest any phone has ever come to be throwing the iPhone 7 plus with the may 9 pro and it's 6 gigabytes of RAM looking to make its final run here in the second lap and heartbreaker the main I'm Pro fails to keep Photoshop ready to go in the background which sets it back for seconds in this second lap but the mate does have all the other apps ready to go including the heavy duty games however it looks like it's too little too late as the iPhone finishes the second lap with a total time of 1 minute and 56 seconds where the may 9 pro finishes 10 seconds later at the time of 2 minutes and 6 seconds making the winner and still fumble style speed test champ the iPhone 7 plus but damn hos a close one anyways that is it for me in
