# Initial D Cars Ranked: A Weeb's Perspective

The world of Initial D is a haven for automotive enthusiasts, and today we're going to dive into the ranking of all the cars from the anime series. Joining me on this epic journey is my resident weeb, Jimmy Hilton.

But enough about mattresses; let's get into the cars! We'll be ranking them in alphabetical order of brand, and we're saving the best for last – the iconic Toyota Corolla AE86. But before that, let's meet our first car: Shingo Shoji's Honda Civic EG6 hatchback.

**Honda Civic EG6 Hatchback**

I'm a big fan of EG hatches, and this one is definitely up there. The red paint job is stunning, and the driver who owns it is quite... aggressive. His behavior during the duct tape deathmatch is legendary, and it's no wonder he's considered one of the toughest drivers in the series.

Next up, we have Daiki Ninomiya's Honda Civic EK9 Type R hatchback. This car is a beauty, especially with its yellow paint job and the official Spoon Sports livery. The Todo Racing School is known for producing some of the most talented drivers, and this car is a testament to their skills.

This car is pretty cool, but it's not as cool as the EG6 in my opinion. The EK9 has its own charm, though, and it's impressive that the Todo School was able to produce such a high-performance vehicle. The fact that it's turbocharged adds an extra layer of excitement to driving.

Now, let's move on to Smiley Sakai's 1998 Integra Type R. This car is special because it was designed by a renowned tuning house and has been turbocharged to boost its performance. It's also driven by one of the most talented drivers in the series, making it an incredibly cool car.

**Integra Type R**

Dude, well, I can tell you one thing – this car was never smiling after the race! But that doesn't take away from its awesomeness. The fact that it's a high-compression turbocharged motor makes it even more impressive. If you were to drive this car, you'd need to be a very skilled driver.

Next up, we have Go Hojo's 1994 Acura NSX. This car is stunning, with its sleek body kit and BBS LMS wheels. I'm a huge fan of the NSX, and it's no surprise that Go Hojo is one of the coolest drivers in the series. His nickname, the God Hand, speaks for itself – he's an incredible driver who only uses one hand while driving.

Oh dude, I just rewatched fourth stage, and this dude is so cool! He's got an AP1 S2000, which is an awesome car in its own right. The fact that he's nicknamed the God Hand because of his incredible skills only adds to his awesomeness.

But wait, there's more! We also have a Miata owner who doesn't like this car – it's cool, but not for him. He's got a few stock Miatas under his belt, and they're all... well, let's just say they're not exactly the most exciting cars on the road.

And finally, we come to my personal favorite: the Toyota Corolla AE86. This car is iconic, and it's no wonder that it's considered one of the best drivers in the series. Jimmy and I can't agree on which one is better – the AE86 or the AP1 S2000 – but both are definitely up there.

This is the one.- This is a very cool car.- Yeah, this is a very cool Honda.- There are few companiescooler than Spoon.- Yeah, not many.- I think in real lifethis is a cooler car.In the series, this Okay.- I'm not even gonna look, bro.(Jimmy laughs)- Put it wherever you want.- Alright.- I don't.- Bro, that's your favoriteMazda in the series?- Yeah.- I just remembered theother Mazdas in the series.- (laughs) One of them.- No, Jimmy.(Jimmy laughs)- There's two Mazdas I can think ofright off the top of my headthat are cooler than this car.Here is one.- (laughs) Yeah.- Ryosuke Takahashi's FC.Dude, for me,this car might be acontender for number one.- Yeah.- I love FC RX-7s.He shows up in the firstseason and he's just the dude.- Yeah, he is.- Right?And he's just like the driver.The only reason to Takumi beat him isbecause he tuned his car down.And then he's just like,"Oh, I'm not driving anymore."- Going with the wind.- "Yeah, I'm just gonnalike guide my brotherand this other young cat that I knowand I'm just gonna like put this."And then, dude.- He's back.- He comes back, bro, andthe car is better than ever.It's like super built and it's awesome,and he's just wrecking fools.- Oh, yeah.- Just like tearing dudes up.- Of course.And then he's got theRE-Amemiya headlights.The wing too.- It's so tasteful.It's so badass and it fitsthe character perfectly.- Yeah.- So like right now, dude, honestlyI'm not even messing it up.- Throw it up.Yeah.- Boom.That's where he's atand he might stay there.Dude, two heavy hitters right in a row.- I love that their cars are just like,every time you see him, something's new.- Like it's really cool likethey are these like rich brotherswho are really good at building carsand surrounded by likereally smart people.So like, that's how it would be.You know what I mean?There always would be like anew little thing on their car.So Jimmy, I think early on in this video,you and I have a verytough decision to make.- I think just throw it up behind FC.- Yeah, under it.- Just throw it under it.Yeah.I 100% stand by this, okay?I 100% stand by this decisionthat Jimmy and I made.Two Jameses make a right.Iconic?Yes.Better than the FC?Sorry, guys.I don't think so.- Yeah.- The next car is Kyoko's FD RX-7.She was almost Keisuke's girlfriend.That whole thing was really weird.She was all like, "My beloved."And then he was like, "Will they?"Won't they?"But then he's like mean to her.It's got a single turborotary which is cool.I think it's a well-built car.- Yeah.- I think it's cool.- But nothing to write home about.- Moving on to Mitsubishis.We've got five EVOs.- Yeah, five EVOs.- Kyoichi Sudo's Lancer EVO III.This car, big part of the seriesis when Takumi blew his engine.- He blew his engine.- This guy's got like theheadband and the headwrap.- He's like, "There's fire in the system."(engine blows)- Yeah.- I think this is a cool car.This is the other Emperor EVO.I think this car is badass looking.I love the front bumper.- Yeah, it's cool.It's got the Monstor.- Yeah.(Jimmy laughs)- I remember when Ifirst watched the series,I was like a kid and I waslike, "What is Monstor?"It's so like." (rumbles)When he beat the NightKids,he took their sticker offtheir car, cut it in half,put it upside down on his winglike a Japanese fighter pilot.So for that reason I thinkhe's right under his bro.Going on with the EVO theme.This Aikawa's Lancer EVO V.Oh and this guy was like (bleep).- Yeah.So this team, they spilledoil all over their cars.- They almost killed my boy Keisuke.These guys, you know what?(bleep)- Yeah.- Yeah.- Yeah.- This guy, he's thesame dude from that team.- Yeah, same guy.- Yeah, hate this guy too.- Yeah, they're just arrogant.- Yeah, he's like, "Oh,if you win the race,I might have to beat you up."- And they got punked hard.- Yeah, they got punked.- (indistinct) you pink ass.- See, you know what?Personality goes a long way.- Yeah.- Be nice to people.The final EVO.This is sort of like the most American.- It is a very American-esque.- Bill of the EVOs.It's got a big old wang.- Yeah.- It's got bumpers and stuff.- C-West kit.- I like C-West.- Yeah.- It's got (indistinct) mirrors.We're kind of lumping allthe EVOs together, dude,and which is weirdbecause if you asked me,"James, what kind of car would you like?"I'd be like, "An EVO."100%, I want an EVO real bad."- They're great cars.- But everyone in Initial Dthat drove an EVO is a (bleep).And that affects how I think about themwhen it relates to the series so.Which brings us to Jimmy's favorite.- Yeah.- Car manufacturerand my top three favoritecar manufacturer.- I'm all about Nissan.- Talking about Nissan.- Nothing to write home about.- Really nothing to write homeabout right out of the gate.- But it's cool.It's cool how like the series progresses.Like the first stageis really kind of like,hey, these are thecoolest dudes at my schoolwho have like the coolest cars.And Kenji's 180SXis one of the coolestcars out of high school.- Dude, if I was in high schooland I saw that (indistinct),I would be like,"I wanna hang out with guy."- "Yeah, this guy's cool."I hope lets me come hang out with him."Just 'cause he's aspeedster.- Yeah, he is a speedster.(coughs) That's Hi Car.- Yeah, next time we have a purple,a future version of Hi Car.(Jimmy laughs)- The similarities between thisand the 350Z that we built inthe first season of HiLow aremind-boggling.(Jimmy laughs)- And I also appreciate that there's a 69in the license plate.Big fan.- I didn't even notice that.- Oh, it also has like the same mirrors.- Yeah, look it has similar mirrors.It's so funny. they're just going back and forth.And then Keisuke andthe Takahashi brothersare just sitting there likewatching them go back and forth.They're like, "They'll catch up."- Yeah, 'cause they justkeep
