WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enstay two of Rocky Mountain race week we are finally here in Pueblo yesterday was the road trip of all time beautiful scenery but it also had rain and some of these guys were slicks were having a hard time navigating those mountain roads but now we're at the racetrack and I'm telling you what the drama has already started Bailey laying down a big boy number yesterday to go into the lead early Larson right behind him Doug Klein chomping at the bit Mike Roy is also in this hunt everybody is out here going to try and knock the tree over and knock down the best BT a mile an hour they can Brian to figure out what's really going on because the truth is most of these people have never raised in altitude and conditions like we're seeing here for Rocky Mountain race week Tom Bailey just running a 667 at 2:15 that is a crazy run I guarantee you traction control was involved on that one these guys are now going to have to gun for him the track conditions here kind of in question and if they can't make a good hit in their first run it means they're going to be here this afternoon chasing it and that goes against what they wanted to do which was to make one hit and get on the road because the drive today is a long one I mean they're trying to tail off and it the facilities not bad at all it's just you know it's it just needs a little bit of drag and they've got it sprayed and you know it's a pretty good shape they just need to drag it a little bit and I think it'll start coming around because we don't have that many cars to go down it to make the track better so by dragging it 679 to 20 Wow I gotta tell you I thought this racetrack conditions were gonna make it really difficult on some of these guys but Bailey ran a 667 he Larry runs a 79 but he's still behind what does this mean because with the track conditions here this plays into the road trip cuz you two rather been making and it was only because you're kids doing it and couldn't afford to do much but my vehicle was my drag car okay good and anyway then I got married then we had these kids then my grandson sons they've done the junior drag races and now they're driving Camaros

so we see you guys out here running negatory you may not see us here but the two dangers have been and you need to get to work because he sounds way busier than you are just like yesterday and bande Amir here in Pueblo the weather is rolling in and there's still a bunch of people here working on their cars trying to get ready to make their final run because they got no time left before we hit the road to Great Bend and it's a long haul ladies and gentlemen at least six hours in each and every one of these cars that means everybody that smart is trying to get the hell out of here now a long Rocky Mountain race week's route there are plenty of little tiny small towns and a lot of cool stuff to see including the Sugar City Cafe and we rolled into town and we said hey we want to eat somewhere that's cool and local and a bunch of locals came up to us and said well this is the place and I said you mean it's the best place in town and they said no it's the place in town it turns out it's really good awesome cinnamon rolls and phenomenal meatloaf yesterday we were less than a mile from the racetrack and Larry Larsen had a crack in a fuel tank and Eric Yost is in the same position here at Buffalo as his cool little trailer aka the Yoast bar is a little worse for wear broke a part of the tongue on the trailer they're gonna see if they can bolt it together or call a welding shop and get somebody mobile to come help them and we'll see what happens the drama continues we knew the drive from Pueblo to Great Bend was gonna be a hardcore one and it's gonna be long but because of a massive thunderstorm it's been way harder than anybody expected we just got here but we've got tons of racers that are still out on the road battle in the rain and the thunderstorm and the hail I think they might have got here quicker if they were riding one of these

Doug Klein I need to shake your hand mr. 79 you made mr. Larsen over here a little bit nervous 79 but that means you and he ran the same number oh really yeah you ran a 79 oh so Bailey's got a 67 Wow well what does that mean for you do you when you go and try and make another hitter is it too long a drive seed has got to get on the road yeah was coming up return road now if you want to thinking and I was like you know if it's a page it's a 91 92 I'm gonna go back but no I'm taking a set I know we're gonna hit the road I hope great Ben I'll be in great shape you know so why that is so long it's gonna shut down man yeah that down there man it's all you see the farms all over there must be something that'll cuz they're making a track for it yeah so yeah but no we're happy we're really really happy with that okay good we're gonna die didn't even our go get to him yet we're ready we saw that Doug Klein did the one and done one hit that he's pretty happy with and now it's all about making the big road trip cuz it's a long one today but two of our featured drivers who've been having some trouble are Eric Yost and Alex Taylor so the first run you had issues and that time slip was weird yeah we write down track A to B and 60-foot didn't pick up it's gonna redo it back gonna make a pass because out there spins a tire now you're sitting here cooling everything off because this thing can't just run back-to-back this is not gonna play in your favor for the road trip it looks like rain is coming too yeah we're here in tornado is there actually this is not going to be good all right we'll start blowing on this thing good luck Alex Taylor who's normally pitted right back here is currently on the racetrack trying to pick up her time as the best she could run so far as a 922 she put more boost in it and we'll see what she can do before she hits the road all right Alex so this tracks a little bit tricky today you've been having some trouble okay but you got at least hopefully get a loan nine today and want that but if I get that tomorrow then there you go all right good luck have fun now that we've checked in with our drivers we're gonna go check in with some fans who are hanging out to see how the drama unfold so why do you guys come out here why are you doing the whole trip is it only because you're kids doing it and I couldn't afford to do much but my vehicle was my drag car okay good and anyway then I got married then we had these kids then my grandson sons they've done the junior drag races and now they're driving Camaros and so we see you guys out here running negatory you may not see us here but the two dangers have been and you need to get to work because he sounds way busier than you are just like yesterday and bande Amir here in Pueblo the weather is rolling in and there's still a bunch of people here working on their cars trying to get ready to make their final run because they got no time left before we hit the road to Great Bend and it's a long haul ladies and gentlemen at least six hours in each and every one of these cars that means everybody that smart is trying to get the hell out of here now a long Rocky Mountain race week's route there are plenty of little tiny small towns and a lot of cool stuff to see including the Sugar City Cafe and we rolled into town and we said hey we want to eat somewhere that's cool and local and a bunch of locals came up to us and said well this is the place and I said you mean it's the best place in town and they said no it's the place in town it turns out it's really good - awesome cinnamon rolls and phenomenal meatloaf yesterday we were less than a mile from the racetrack and Larry Larsen had a crack in a fuel tank and Eric Yost is in the same position here at Buffalo as his cool little trailer aka the Yoast bar is a little worse for wear broke a part of the tongue on the trailer they're gonna see if they can bolt it together or call a welding shop and get somebody mobile to come help them and we'll see what happens the drama continues we knew the drive from Pueblo to Great Bend was gonna be a hardcore one and it's gonna be long but because of a massive thunderstorm it's been way harder than anybody expected we just got here but we've got tons of racers that are still out on the road battle in the rain and the thunderstorm and the hail I think they might have got here quicker if they were riding one of these you\n"
