I recently visited my local nail salon for a gel application, something I hadn't done in about 18 months prior to this visit. It was a couple of months before COVID-19 started to spread and get out of control that I last got gel. I have to say, I'm really enjoying the experience. The technician did a great job applying the color, which is a big fan favorite. However, things took a turn for the worse during the appointment.

I had been experiencing some issues with my feet, specifically peeling skin. This started after using a foot mask that contained gel, which I had purchased on Amazon months prior to my visit to the salon. The mask was supposed to remove dead skin and leave my feet feeling fresh and healthy, but unfortunately, it ended up causing more problems than it solved. The gel from the mask became embedded in my skin, leading to constant peeling.

I tried various remedies to get rid of the peeling, including pumice stones, exfoliating creams, and even visiting a salon that offered an exfoliating pedicure. Despite these attempts, I found that no matter what I did, the peeling persisted. It was as if my skin was peeling off in layers.

The technician at the salon noticed my problem and took it upon herself to investigate further. She discovered that the gel from the foot mask had caused a severe reaction, leading to the constant peeling. Her solution was to use a more gentle exfoliant and take extra care when removing the dead skin cells. Although this wasn't what I had hoped for, I have to admit that it's nice to know someone is paying attention.

The rest of my visit went smoothly, aside from the awkward conversation about my peeling feet. The technician did an excellent job on my nails, including a French tip design on my toes. As you can see (or rather, as you can't see) from a distance, I'm quite proud of how they turned out.

After leaving the salon, I decided to change into some comfortable clothes since it was a hot day outside. The air conditioning in my home had been acting up lately, and it felt like temperatures were soaring. To cope with the heat, I opted for a lightweight crop top and workout shorts instead. Unfortunately, this meant that my skin started sweating profusely.

Feeling sympathetic towards my furry companions, I decided to take them outside for some playtime. We set up a makeshift sprinkler system using a hose, which provided instant relief from the sweltering heat. The pups loved playing in the water and seemed to enjoy it even more than their usual activities. Afterward, we settled down for a relaxing evening at home.

To cap off this eventful day, I had prepared some meat snacks for my pets as a reward for their behavior. As they enjoyed their meal, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the companionship and love they bring to my life.

when i did the intro i was only going to do a weekend in my life but then um some crazy things happened and then i ended up just having an eventful week so i decided to take a few clips throughout the after getting back from java all right i'm gonna do just a quick grocery haul for you guys so because we cook for the pups for every meal we have quite a bit of meat so we have some chuck center so some beef for them these are two more this is pork ground lamb we have regular bacon and three things of turkey bacon two avocados brussels sprouts limes broccoli um i have a busy week ahead of me so i got two frozen meals so amy's thai pad thai and then marie calendar's chicken teriyaki bowl and then we mix in veggies with the dog's food so we got four things of frozen veggies they were out of the usual butter i get so i got the happy belly amazon brand salted butter got some little tomatoes and blueberries carrots asparagus basil sprouts and i got two bunches of green onion and then we got a few different um snacks for the pups so these are hamburger minis these are i think they're bison if i had to guess and then these ones are bully sticks and then we have some heavy cream and sour cream and then darren loves diesel like like packaged snacks so we love tillamook and but they didn't have very many of them so i got some more of the colby jack and then some cheddar and then i like to snack on the little pearls of mozzarella and then a big one so that we can do capri salad string cheese ranch for the carrots darren's been craving salsa and we already have tortilla chips so i got three different types of hot salsa and then two different types of pesto and then we use this to make the brown rice for the pups and then we were out of canola oil or like vegetable oil so this is the totality of our shopping trip slash restock after cabo so our amazon food delivery came like an hour earlier than it was supposed to so we were so hungry that we ordered mountain mics so we got mountain mike's large thin crust extra pepperoni and this literally arrived as i was putting away the last few items of the groceries so here we go so quick update on the foot mask that i did um it basically feels like the layer of my skin on the bottom of my foot is now too small for my foot so my foot feels super dry super tight um in two to three days it's supposed to start peeling and in one week to a week and a half apparently all the skin on the bottom my foot is going to be gone and it's going to be just fresh and beautiful so i won't show you guys when it's peeling but i will let you know how it goes by the end darren's car had a bit of damage on it so i just dropped him off at the nilo collision center and it looks like there are a lot of cars really getting messed up out here because the collision center is popping i'm now heading home and i'm gonna stop by cvs to pick up a vanilla visa gift card as like a thank you to my sister because she legitimately last minute watched our dogs for the entire week we had um we had something lined up for them but um things fell through last minute and i mean at 5 30 a.m day of our flight and we needed to leave for the airport at 5 45 a.m and my sister woke up out of a dead sleep to answer her phone come pick up our dogs and watch them for a week with no notice so um really just want to thank her and make sure that she knows how much we appreciate her because she did not have to do that above and beyond seriously and she was taking him on walks taking him to the dog park just you know really doing all the things so um yeah i just wanna wanna thank her make her feel appreciated so after i dropped off darren to get his car he came directly here i went to cvs he called me while i was at cbs and he's like so um i forgot to bring a house key i guess he took his house key off when he dropped off the car because he ubered home he needed to get in and then he forgot that he didn't have one so he's stranded out stranded outside so i just drove home let him in and now i have to go continue my errands so um i need to go to the grocery store so when i got amazon delivery i forgot um i forgot to get chicken i also need to get my car washed but first before they close i need to go back to the test or the vaccination site that i got both of my vaccines at because after my first vaccine i lost my card so when i went back for my second one um they gave me a new card but then they wrote in all the information for my second vaccine in the slot for my first vaccine so then when i tried to write in the information for my first one i had to write it in like the second vaccination slot so it looks like i totally lied because my what looks like on there's my second vaccination is before the apparent first one because it was really the second i don't know if i'm explaining that well but basically it's it's a hot mess so if we actually end up needing these vaccination cards i'm gonna need proof of vaccination and possibly for work as well because i'm in health care so um i need to get this organized like asap so i think i'm i'm just gonna go and do it get it like taken care of now um before it actually becomes an issue or before that particular site shuts down because i'm assuming that's where all my records are kept so yeah that was a long explanation but that is what i'm heading off to do now so i'm back at mcclellan air force or airport and they told me to just go to the front they're gonna take my temperature they have um a little booth there so i just have to tell them what happened i guess i'm not the first one this has happened to so they can just give me a new card so i'm just gonna head over and get all my documentation order all right i guess this is the reject location where all the mess-ups go i am the proud owner of a new card with valid dates all right we are getting tidy today off to get my chicken my chicken has been collected okay so when i was walking in from my car i noticed there was um a young gentleman eating out of the trash can in front of raley's and i offered to buy him a sandwich from inside they have a really good deli they make really good sandwiches so he was like okay yeah that'd be great and i was like all right come with me like let's go pick you out something and then we got there and i was like okay they also have like fried chicken they have french fries mac and cheese they have these like wraps and salads and all these different things so you pick whatever you want and i'll get it for you he walks over to the bakery picks up a cake and is like this is it and i was like you want a cake he's like yeah if if i can i was like of course but i mean would you like a sandwich as well like you don't have to pick i'll get you a sandwich as well you want something a little heartier he's like no just this chocolate cake right and also we went through again i'm like fried chicken um sandwiches wraps i don't know a pizza like no nope he just wanted a cake so i bought him a chocolate cake we got him a fork and he went on his way he was very grateful but i'm just a little confused i mean personally i mean even if i wanted a cake i think i would have gone for a sandwich too but that man's got a sweet tooth also this is your daily reminder that if you are in a position to give and give back never forget and never take your situation for granted because you never know when you might need help and just treat people the way you want to be treated last of today's tasks getting some gas and here is my keto chicken pasta so these this is soybean pasta and then i have broccoli chicken and sun-dried tomatoes in it and it is delicious you know i really don't get how i always allow myself to get into these predicaments so i was just you know taking care of business and i was like i have so much time in the world and then i look at the clock and guess what my botox and under eye filler appointment starts in 25 minutes i am 17 minutes away i'm supposed to be there 10 minutes early and i still have taken off my makeup so good news is because from last time months ago i still have the makeup wipes in here so i guess now i'm just gonna have to take off my makeup on the go so here we are just skedaddling our way over there um i won't be able to take you guys into the appointment but i will show you um or i will update you guys afterwards okay real quick i wanted to show you guys why i'm getting the under eye filler so you see how dark it is under my eyes and do you see that like little shelf that builds like right here when i smile it's because i have hollow under eyes so um the darkness is mostly a shadow it's not skin um like skin pigment issue so no matter how many like corrective creams or products i use um it's never going to take it away because the issue is that it's a shadow because it's like it's hollow so i'm getting under eye filler to kind of clump up the area which is really going to help with um with the hollowness you can kind of you can like see the shadow do you see yeah so that's why i'm getting that and then um i just get preventative botox and you can see the botox has like faded like all here so i just get it on my forehead and then um crow's feet and he does a little here but in general like i don't really make facials that um that ring i don't really know how to make facials that wrinkle that so probably don't need to get it this time but he usually does it just as a preventative measure it's go time guys so i got the numbing solution injected under each eye and now we're waiting five minutes for it to kick in and then we're getting started so we just want to hop in and show you guys what it looked like afterwards so um still no makeup no concealer nothing like that so you can see how it's lighter it's still darker under my eyes but it's significantly lighter than it was before and then the botox takes i think it's like a week or it's like one or two weeks to fully like kick in where it like you can't wrinkle so you can kind of still see here but already it's kind of activating a bit here and because not all of it had been absorbed from the first time i had gotten it so they're still like a little in there so this you won't be able to see pretty soon this you won't be able to see and then he said about one to two weeks this will settle and it will look its best so the best results will be here in two weeks so i'm enjoying some cookies and cream halo top and i was trying to watch dodgeball netflix does not have dodgeball what kind of madness is this let's see if you you gulu if hulu has it or maybe amazon so hulu has it but it starts at 6 pm what what does that even mean what why can't i watch it now i don't understand what's happening with what you got halo top cookies and cream and dodge balls the best combo disorders because so it's a couple days later and i haven't ended the vlog just yet but now it is hunter and sadie's second birthday today i can't believe it i can't believe my babies are two i remember like going and viewing them and at the time i did not want dogs i was like we are not ready for dogs we travel too much like it's gonna hold us back and darren was like oh well let's just go take a look at these two just so we can figure out what type of breed we want in a couple years when we do decide to get dogs and then we went we met them and we signed a contract to um to get them once they were of age so here we are now two years later i can't believe it my little babies are growing up so we have some presents for them that they're going to be opening throughout the day today so they're gonna open some in about an hour we have divided it into three bags each bag has several toys in it and then um they'll open another one like midday and then we're gonna have them open the final one in the afternoon and then we're going to take them to the pup park so they can go socialize and have fun and then darren has made them a special breakfast i will show you guys real quick so for breakfast they both are getting steak that darren has prepared for them it's their favorite they're not quite hungry just yet but they'll enjoy it when they eat it these are the birthday pups the birthday pups yeah you guys excited i can't believe you're already two my little angels and then here are their presents and we wrote them little cards we write them cards for their birthday and we keep them so we can always look back on them if you do have a dog i highly recommend you do go check out that dog toy haul because i found some like really cool really unique toys that i have like never seen before and i'm super proud of them so uh yeah you have a dog check out the um the card above can you believe it's your second birthday angel boy can you believe it my sweet little one oh yeah we just want scratches oh and if it isn't the birthday princess hi sadie baby hi angel hi look at you look how sweet you are look how beautiful you are happy birthday oh oh sorry huntys i did not mean to take away from your attention i know i know okay babies it is present opening time we're gonna open one bag now that way they can play with the toys be all excited and every few hours we're gonna open another one because it's too overwhelming for the quantity of toys that they have to open all at once so we're gonna start with your guys's cards okay guys which one is the most exciting gained a little interest today oh wow so it is just my luck on my way home from my sister's house on the freeway i heard a loud bang and my window just like busted in something hit it so there's like so there's glass all throughout the car unfortunately i had the pups in the car but they did not get injured thankfully the police came they could not find what flew through my window but i guess there have been a series of bb gun shootings on the freeway so we think that um the same people who've been shooting cars on the freeway with the bb gun and like busting out the windows we're thinking that was probably that which is also why we couldn't find like the rock or bullet or whatever it was because the bb gun like pellets are so small so we think that's what happened a good portion of my window was still here um it had just like it had completely shattered the whole thing but like only this part had um come in and then when the police came to take the report because i was like i don't know if i've been shot at or like what happened so police came out um and with their flashlight they like hit out the rest of the glass so that wouldn't be like flying into my car so um yeah it was a very scary experience i was just driving on the freeway huge bang and like glass came at me i had like tiny little like cuts and i was like bleeding from a few places but it was like so minor because the piece of the glass it's tempered glass so the pieces were so small but yeah that happened at like 9 30 last night so i called my insurance they told me to call like um caliber collision and then i got a quote it was like 490 and i have a 500 deductible and then they told me that safe light um like glass repair was probably going to be cheaper so i called them it's going to be 416 plus like tax and stuff but i'm going to say flight right now i was able to get an appointment this morning um so yeah i'm gonna head there just wanted to show you guys uh what uh what my day's consisting of so there is glass on my seat so i have a towel over it but you can kind of see a bit more about like the glass situation there's a ton on the ground yeah it's just like everywhere there's some in the back seat but yeah it was terrifying sorry if it's a little loud i have no window but i don't think i had mentioned that my dogs were also in the car because we had just come from my sister's house where we were celebrating um her dog's birthday he had just turned seven and um she had also given my pups their birthday presents which is what is with the birthday bags on the ground if you guys noticed so yeah they were in the car glass flew at them luckily because they have like thick fur kind of fell off um and it didn't cut them at least not that i could see or i've noticed today so really was just the scariest um yeah i was just driving listening to um american boy yep american boy you know just living my best life and then all of a sudden bang glass everywhere like and it was so loud it was so loud like i really thought i got shot by a gun it was okay it's so loud out here i'm just gonna end this clip here well it took about two hours but i got a fresh new window thanks to safe flight repair safely replace off to grab some lunch real quick it's seriously such a relief to have this window back because now i just feel like this happened late last night got it fixed um early afternoon now here i am and it's like nothing ever happened and i can just go back to my regular life because it was just of such a dramatic like way to end my evening and now i just feel like it has all reversed back to normal and i just such relief tell me why i just roll down the window and it's already it's damaged they input a damaged window oh my gosh does the saga end okay so update on the broken window slash broken replacement window situation or damage replacement window so i had to wait like over 45 minutes to just get through to that store but i finally did and they wanted me to come back in so that they could examine it i was like it's just a chip at the top and like i'm already back home because you know i was on hold for half for 45 minutes and i was like i already drove half an hour home i'm not driving back out there like i have things i need to do today so they let me submit photos of it which i did and then um the manager reviewed and they're going to do some war their i guess their warranty covers it or whatever so i asked them to use their mobile service and so i can get an appointment in the middle of the week and they can just come fix it here while i work from home because it's half an hour drive there and then it's like a two two and a half hour appointment there so it's like i can't do that again so they're going to do that um and they did say though that they have to order the window and it's going to take like three to four days so i'm wondering if this was like the last window that they had and then they didn't realize until they were placing it that it was damaged and then they were just kind of hoping that i wouldn't realize or like what was going on but it was the last window that they had there because they're having to order a new one for me so um i don't have an appointment just yet but they said three to four days to arrive and then they're gonna call me when it comes in and we will schedule the appointment for them to come out and fix it officially so the broken glass saga that i was so excited to wrap up continues to unfold hey do you see the pub tarts tootsie pups it's so cute i'm on my way back from breakfast and hanging out with my friend and now i'm at quick quack car wash gonna get my car tidied up so while i wait for my turn um to go into the car wash i'm gonna show you guys quickly what i bought so um i went into this little um pet boutique called paws and the palette and i got this little toy it is a bloody mary how cute is that and then i got another one it's a little camera because i'm a vlogger you know um and then i got this little roll for motion sickness so it's a little like roller so i guess i like put the oils on my hand and i like rub it on like um their chest mostly sadie because she's the one that gets motion sickness or motion sick and then apparently like the aroma helps like settle them and make them not nauseous so it's specifically for pets so or dogs so i'm excited about that and then um we also went to the farmer's market as you guys saw some clips hold on sorry it was my turn to move up again so um from the farmer's market i got this it's called beyond lavender roll-on and it's a cbd roll-on um i've been having a lot of issues with anxiety recently and whenever i try to take like cbd drops it makes me super nauseous so like yeah i'm not like anxious anymore but now i'm like nauseous and like dry heaving because the taste is just so awful even the ones that are like flavored to like taste better um so yeah this one you like roll on like behind your ears or like on your wrist and stuff so i'm really excited um about this one this one's with lavender so it's supposed to be like a calming one which is why i'm thinking it will help with my anxiety there were a few different options as well um all the like cbd and all the like ingredients essential oils everything is um local from like the sacramento area and then last thing from arf scarf um this lady hand makes all of these like dog bandanas also this is my first time using my new michael kors purse um brown one that darren had gotten me for christmas okay i'm about to head into the car wash so i got um two of these that are hedgehogs so i got one for sadie one for hunter and then i got hunter and sadie both um a donut one and then i got sadie this floral one and hunter uh this one with like pineapples and it kind of like 80s vibes and i'll i'll finish this clip after the car wash here we are getting all sudsed up okay so i just um finished at the car wash and i think i'm gonna stop by starbucks get like a matcha latte and then i think i might get like a manicure pedicure i have not gotten my nails done i think it's been like five months maybe longer and well they need to be done especially whenever i come back from vacation and it's like walking on sand and like getting my feet wet then dried and wet then dried and walking barefoot more like my feet are well like i feel like all of my skin is like torn up so i've been having to use a ton more lotion but i just i feel like my nails have just like taken such a beating and they're just not cute and i need professional help like i've tried to fix it myself and it's beyond it's beyond anything i can do so i think that's that's the plan so i just got to the nail salon and there's a starbucks next door so i'm gonna go get my matcha latte and then go get these claws taken care of not even claws are so short because they keep breaking get these micro claws taken care of the drink has been secured onto phase two nail salon you want to cut that a little bit on top style okay so i just left the nail salon i got gel for the first time in like i think a year and a half it was a couple months before covet even started that i had last gotten gel um so yeah i got gel really big fan of the color um on my toes i got french tip but it's so embarrassing okay so i don't know okay i think i followed the clip but earlier this week i decided to do this like foot mask that i had gotten on amazon a long time ago where basically you like it's like this like plastic sock you like it's full of like this like cream or gel or something and you put them on your feet and you leave it for like an hour and a healthy skin um but the thing is that the gel is all throughout it so the entire top of my foot is also peeling and it's been peeling like non-stop i've been using like pumice stones like um dead skin off and then like the next day it's peeling again like how many layers of skin am i gonna peel here so this poor lady i got like an exfoliating pedicure trying to like hopefully get rid of it i was hoping she would just like scrub like not realize but she exfoliated my feet like four times and then she was like okay honey what what is going on what is wrong with your feet and i was like oh my god just like calling me out and tell me why their tv was broken and i don't know they didn't bring a radio or anything so it's dead silent in there and there's like full of clients and i'm like oh my god and she's like your feet are just peeling and it doesn't matter how much i exfoliate i cannot fix it and i was just like oh my god call me out my gosh so i had to tell her what happened and she was like never do that again never um but yeah so super embarrassing um she did a fantastic job i'll show you the pedicure from a distance because i really don't want you to see just like how bad this is peeling like it looks really bad but i'll show you from a distance change of plans you can totally see even from a distance so i'm not going to show you guys but she did a really great job i just did french tip on the toes so you guys have seen french tip you know what it looks like just imagine that with like the worst sunburn you've ever had but your entire foot oh my gosh look how cute look how cute oh let me see yours hunties oh so cute they probably both could have gotten gone with a large cane lift up your chin because look how much extra was left after tying so they both i got them like extra large but um extra large fits fine they just have an extra long tie probably could have gone with a large but yeah when we get you guys some in the future we'll just go with regular large so it's like 90 something degrees today and our ac is broken again so i just changed like a crop top and some workout shorts and i'm gonna take the pups outside we're gonna play with the hose hopefully cool them down because i just feel so bad like if i'm sweating they're covered with fur if i'm hot i can only imagine how hot they are so um yeah i'm gonna go play with them play in the hose today and hopefully that will brighten their spirits on my way home i had picked up some meat for the pups so after playing with the water a bit the pups are running off their wetness and i'm grilling
