**A Day of Exploration and Discovery**

As we set out on our adventure, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. My partner and friends were all champing at the bit to get started, and we quickly made our way to the first location on our list: an old gold mine. We had been planning this trip for weeks, and finally, we were here, ready to see what treasures we could find.

As soon as we arrived, my partner quickly pulled out his phone and asked us if we wanted to join in on the fun. We exchanged a few words of encouragement and set off with him to explore the mine. I must say, I was impressed by the enthusiasm and energy of our group. We were all in it together, ready to take on whatever adventure came our way.

As we made our way through the mine, my partner told us about his favorite hobbies: exploring old gold mines, looking for gold, exploring canyons, ghost towns, hiking, and going on outdoors adventures. He also mentioned that we would be making a delicious dinner together - asparagus, shrimp, and steak - which I was really looking forward to.

Just as we were getting started, my partner updated us on the progress of our dinner preparations. The carag was done, and the shrimp were cooking nicely. We chatted excitedly about how much fun we would have while exploring the mine, but also had a bit of discussion about how we would be making do without some help from home. Thankfully, my kids volunteered to come out and assist us with cleaning up, which was a huge relief.

With our dinner preparations underway, my partner and I set off with Ed and Fred to explore another location - a small mine that they had discovered earlier. We were all metal detecting, trying to find any hidden treasures or artifacts. The air was cool and crisp, and the sun was shining down on us as we made our way through the desert landscape.

As we explored the mine, my partner mentioned that he was actually helping his kids clean up after their last adventure, which I thought was really sweet. He also told me about a little spot where they had found an old millipede or something similar - it was definitely a highlight of the day!

After a few hours of exploring, we decided to head back to our campsite and start making plans for our next move. My partner mentioned that he had been to this mine before with Fred and thought it looked promising, but we still hadn't found anything worth talking about yet.

Feeling inspired by my partner's enthusiasm, I suggested that we might want to send Hefe off on his own adventure while the rest of us headed out to explore another location. And so, we set off in different directions - my partner and Ed heading out to continue their metal detecting quest, while Fred and I checked out a nearby spot.

As we made our way through the desert landscape, my partner mentioned that he was excited about getting back into his YouTube channel, which was all about adventure travel. He asked if we wanted to link to it in the description of this article - I think he might be planning on giving us a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating one of these episodes!

Finally, after hours of exploring and searching for treasure, my partner suggested that we head back home, but not before stopping at one more spot. We chatted excitedly about how much fun we had been having all day and looked forward to getting some rest.

**A New Adventure Begins**

As I sit here writing this article, I'm feeling grateful for the incredible adventure we just experienced. While it might have been a bit of a wasted trip in terms of finding gold, we still had an absolute blast exploring the desert landscape and seeing what treasures we could discover.

I also want to take a moment to thank my partner and friends for being such great company on this adventure. From Ed's 87th birthday celebration to Fred's impressive metal detecting skills, every moment was filled with laughter and excitement. And of course, I have to give a shoutout to Hefe, who is always off on his own adventures - we can't wait to see what he's up to next!

As for me, I'm excited to be starting my own YouTube channel, which will focus on adventure travel and exploration. I'm still getting everything set up, but I'm hoping that this article will give you a glimpse into the kind of content I'll be creating.

lost Gold Mine we never found it so we have big plans today to make sure we cover the most amount of ground and find the most amount of gold but we're going to eat some breakfast first and then uh then we'll make the plans whatever they may be what's for breakfast he we're going to do some omelets I've never cooked omelets but I got a cheat code so we'll see if they work I just ate the best omelette I have ever had and not I mean I'm not just saying that it was I ordered another one because one was definitely not enough number two it's amazing Bloody Run is that what you're talking about okay this is bloody run right here so bloody run goes down and hits the river there's our here's our two I call these the Bears ears those are your two landmarks when you get down on the river okay I want to point out that me and rat are going out in the bush and it's going to be rugged today and that's why we've got our mustaches going on intimidation factors it's a little weak I only I started not going to lie started a little late but hey we're ready now we're we're rugged these guys are going down to check out it's like dirt on your face all right we've made a plan so last time we were here there was an anomaly rock pile that Colby noticed and he took some pictures I was tired I knew we had to get out it was gonna get dark on us so we didn't go check it out well that really bothered Ed so we're going to send Hefe and Brett to go do some Recon on that and then the rest of us are going to go look at some possible tailing piles that looked really interesting but we didn't have any metal detectors so we're going to be doing a little metal detecting little straight up prospecting is what we're going to be doing what you fancy yourself as a prospector now yes so and I'm just going to go for a little walk with them check out something that Fred wants to show us and then I'll head back to camp and keep Ed company it's going to be a good day oh yeah that looks good now that stuff down in there oh look at the wind coming out of there that looks like stuff that's falling down from above to me we drew straws I drew the Short Straw so I'm going in to look at this no that's not what we did I'm the the only one with a good insurance life insurance policy oh there's a lot of air coming out of here there's no bear life in there so look that ceiling over I'm looking it over oh my goodness it's huge I just barely went to the movie theater and watched that movie faith of the Angels where that kid got stuck in the Min in toilla back in the'80s Oh and it took him like five days to find him that kind of worries me he's got something that's a lot of he he's reading something he's messing with the wood um it's all tertiary that's just what they're in what were you beeping a nail A Nails it goes in there and then just turkey claws all different directions all right so this is where we say our last goodbyes not our last goodbye but actually just our next goodbye we're way here a little bit some rugged country all right so this is what I wanted to try I wanted to try these Ravines like where it collects so if any of the the old plaster gold that was washing down to the river it to has to get to the river down through these so that's where we're checking okay this is pretty sensitive right here oh heck yeah so right now they're metal detecting looking for some gold and they're hitting something and they're looking for it right now I'm going to sit up here cuz I'm going to have a turn with the metal detector up in this stuff this is cool Echo oh that doesn't work look that is a lot of oh feel that air that feels so good is does it open up on that side or does it dead end you can see a white wall yeah but I don't want to get my feet wet I know it looks like it JS off to the left all right well we're going to mark this on the map and we're going to keep going titanium he is right well we didn't find anything there so we're just going to keep heading down this Ravine well I hope them guys down there day and find something for my birthday so yesterday we drove well Matt drove all day from Tucson to home and then from home to here we got here at like 5:00 in the morning I didn't have to drive I kind of slept not comfortably but I slept so I kind of feel guilty doing what I'm going to do right now while they're down on the hill hiking in the hot sun but I'm still going to do it cuz I'm tired okay we've made it to the Steep stuff where they said that the paint was oh wow that is really steep look at that Cliff up there I'll show you that but we're starting to look in areas like this as we we're going to zigzag down to the bottom and see if we can find that paint are we in the area yeah well it's down there a little bit further but we're going to check all of this on our way down but look at this so steep once again we're in pretty pretty treacherous country all right we got a reading over there on both instruments okay it's in this dirt clump I think oh no it may be inside the rock what if it's gold I think we just hit a hot rock was my hammer oh all right let's move on okay golden gold prospecting is hard all right well that Canyon we had a couple of exciting little moments but never found anything so we're going to move over this way and see if we have any better luck all right we've been hiking for approximately an hour and we still have not found our red or our red or white our blue or red our blue or white lines we still haven't found any markings is what Red's trying to say but look how steep this is getting this is insane red just about fell off that but we're checking around every Cliff Edge like this to see if we can see any marks but so far nothing he what is that over there you that yellow I don't know should we go check it out this is going to be fun getting back out of here I might break my leg on purpose we have to call search and rescue get a helicopter right out of here for free that's like 10 grand oh minimum never mind it ain't free we think we found the yellow paint we're going to keep checking and we're going to go all the way down to the river but we found a mark with yellow paint we're going to mark it on the map but this is what we found it's like an Aly of some sort maybe it's that it is definitely interesting whatever it is doesn't look like there's a cave here which is a bummer but that is yellow algae yeah just walking down the road to see a bear maybe find some good gravel to pan we'll go back to camp and pan some gold we'll find our own gold while they're down there all right so we took like an hour long nap now it's time to head back up my legs are stiff I'm ready to sleep yeah I'm running on like 2 hours of sleep too okay we're going to start heading back up the hill hopefully we can find something on our way up H I think it's going to take us about twice as long to get out as it did to come down we are no longer hiking we are mountain goating so we decided to go up a different Trail that's the ridge we came down now we're going up this one we haven't been able to find what Kobe was talking about but we'll see if we can see it on the way up one thing I have to say about this hike is it's not really a very long one but it is Extreme like it's a lot of work I think when we got down to the bottom where we took a little rest it only walked like two miles but it was just it's just straight off this mountain like it's crazy all right we're here trying to calculate how much more climbing we have ahead of us what are you thinking we might be spending the night here or getting out of here in the dark what do you going Carter we're definitely spending the night that'd be a long old night what I'm basing our height off of is this mountain over here we were above it when we started and we are still below it so we've got a long ways to go point the angle we have to climb at just point if we just go straight up this thing okay you might be a little low but yeah it's similar to that Carter do you agree 100% but we're not going straight up it's more about a diagonal curve we're doing the old zigzag how you doing he I'm tired we might have made a mistake guys with where we came this is getting rugged no we made a mistake do we turn around sometimes I wish this is very dangerous we got ourselves into a situation okay we're about 50 yards away from safe from being safe but it's getting worse and so I need to take a break I'm going to go Scout ahead I need to take a quick break sit down this was we're High up there like we're getting an elevation fast I am not a rock climber by any means at all I'm a roofer best case scenario on my roofer so we're going to keep going and hopefully we make it out of this cuz this is bad I I'm going to put the camera down and hopefully I got an update for you all right we have finally made it to a point point where it's actually starting to level out a little bit and we can comfortably walk without using our hands to you know grapple got all the sap on there from everything yeah so there's uh some poison oak sap some pine sap some other kind of sap anyway tree sap Carter up there he's been sweeping with his mind sweeper there I haven't got anything all right we made it back to the main road got to walk back to camp now I don't know if Hefe and Rett have made it back no gold but we're not going to give up how going to give up that easy huh yeah we still got some spots all right we'll go see what's for dinner well we got back to Camp looks like we're the first ones back Jamie's gone four-wheeler gone Ed and Fred are gone so I'm sure some gold seeking Adventure is a foot I guess we'll just wait patiently in the shade swatting mosquitoes where were you guys at we went to find some gravel to come back and pan so we wouldn't be bored um guys I am all four doing a little bit of sketchy stuff that was pushing it a little bit cuz we're kind of where there's nobody yeah there's no self-surface nothing but good thing is these rocks aren't like slick Rock they actually have good hand holds so we're lucky there yeah we're lucky there's a path all the way up all right so Robin Hood and little John here made it to the top of the hill and we hear a four-wheeler right now the mosquitoes are bad what do you have to say little John that was a workout Carter was wanting to ride the fourwheeler so he took the initiative to just drive around looking for us and he found us you don't have to walk back yay when he a little out of breath let's move onward and we're back all right we've been sitting here scheming trying to figure out what the next best thing is and I think what we're going to do is eat some dinner and then tomorrow we're going to go look at an old it's B it's a ghost town site now right well red did but I haven't seen one thck of a board there I'm pretty sure they didn't build a brick house they've done a lot of work there for 10 years or more hydraulic and all right well we're going to go check that out in the morning so check out he's setup here this is like MTV Cribs he's got the master bedroom and then he's got a kitchenet he's got solar panels starlink look at this crew they are tired everybody but Ed Ed doesn't know what tired means he's opened a new chapter in his life and it's a chapter of doing this kind of stuff and so when he found out we were coming here he's like hey let me come that sounds like an adventure I'd like to do and I'll cook for you so I can't say no to that he's been filming his adventures and he is found a bullet looks like a 9 mm I got a 20 and a 67 and then a 40 and 6 63 another piece of iron well another piece of iron all right we're exploring this little drift here see if there's anything in it found this little guy in here oh look how pretty see orange and purple orange and purple yeah look at this little thing right here some little little black frog okay you got one more sun in there what do you think I wish there was gold in there but that was awesome if there's any I think it's under 2 ft of mud that was awesome all right all right so Ed has a spot that he started digging a couple days ago and he wants to do a little more digging so I'm going to go help him dig it out maybe there's something in it a nail show us show us what you got there it was a nail an old Square nail well just a nail we dug it out I tried digging it before I got too hot I couldn't finish it and Matt finished it and uh now I won't stay up all night thinking about that it's definitely peace of mind asparagus shrimp and steaks for dinner only the best all right A little update on dinner here we got the the carag done and the shrimp done the steaks are on the barbecuer right now thumbs up we got dinner over it was amazing thank you so much Fe the kids were so impressed and grateful that they volunteered to help clean up so that's awesome thanks guys and then we're gonna go do some exploring it's going to get dark on us pretty quick but that's okay cuz we're exploring a little mine and it's dark in there anyway while they're doing that I'm going to go with Ed and Fred they've got a little spot they want to do some metal detecting and hey before you get on me for not helping clean up I actually did it this morning by myself well I helped Hefe by myself or go around and come down that side I think I did this one time you slide down it there oh yeah well easy for you to say here take a and look in it FR I'm sure you guys wouldn't know this so we're going to tell you today is Ed's birthday Ed how old are you today 87 87 years old Fred's three years younger I think good morning we struck out everywhere yesterday we did find a great big millipede or some sort of peed I'm about to lay into this bad boy right here all right we're breaking Camp um we've got another spot we're going to go check out anded Fred checked it out a couple of days ago and they say that it looks promising I think we're going to have some really good luck there well we're going to send Hefe off here he's got other appointments so we're going to have to fend for ourselves for lunch but we've got snacks little snacks and other little things it's going to be great good luck okay let's head out all right we're going for gold the r you're taking off with he yeah all righty drive safe than you too that's right folks we have a Transformer car all right we're going to head out and do some uh metal detecting some of these little washes here an old shovel oh wow all right well we found something and it was an old shovel oh wow is that a railroad it's just an iron yeah like a steak that's crazy we're finding stuff it's just not the right stuff that is an old rusty steel bar let's keep looking well we found a bullet looks like a 9 mm I got a 20 and a 67 and then a 40 and 6 63 another piece of iron well another piece of iron all right we're exploring this little drift here see if there's anything in it found this little guy in here oh look how pretty see orange and purple orange and purple yeah look at this little thing right here some little little black frog okay you got one more sun in there what do you think I wish there was gold in there but that was awesome if there's any I think it's under 2 ft of mud that was awesome all right all right so Ed has a spot that he started digging a couple days ago and he wants to do a little more digging so I'm going to go help him dig it out maybe there's something in it a nail show us show us what you got there it was a nail an old Square nail well just a nail we dug it out I tried digging it before I got too hot I couldn't finish it and Matt finished it and uh now I won't stay up all night thinking about that it's definitely peace of mind all right we're going to head home we got I don't know with stops we've got 10 or 11 hours let's do this all right we find finally made it back to sunny Southern Utah I'm excited to be back working on the Spud truck um I'm also excited about he's YouTube channel I'm excited about it as well I'm actually getting ready to go out on another adventure right now that's what I should be doing if you want
