Galaxy Tab S3 - Hands-On Review

The Samsung Press Event: A Look at the Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book

Hey everybody, this is Erica, the technology nerd, and I'm excited to share with you my thoughts on the latest Samsung press event. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend the event and see the new Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book in action.

Looking at the Galaxy Tab S3, it's a really nice Android tablet that features an interface reminiscent of Galaxy smartphones. One of the standout tools is Air Command, which allows for creating animated gifts, as well as screen off memo, among other familiar galaxy elements that we know and love. The device is essentially an S7 Note 7 combo, making it an attractive option for those in the market for an Android tablet.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is extremely thin and light, with a premium glass and aluminum build quality that assures it's a high-quality tablet. It definitely feels like it, too. However, I did find that the glass makes it very smudgy, which might be a drawback for some users. The display is 4.3 aspect, 9.7 inch AMOLED, capable of playing HDR content with a resolution of 2048 by 1536 and looks absolutely beautiful on the front.

In terms of hardware, the Galaxy Tab S3 features a home button and fingerprint sensor combo with left and right passage buttons. On the back, there's a 16 megapixel autofocus camera, while on the bottom are a set of stereo speakers, headphone jack, and USB C charging port. The left side has pogo pins for keyboard attachment at the top is another set of stereo speakers, and on the right are microphones. The device also features an SD card slot/SIM card slot, power and volume buttons.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is designed to consume media, whether it's playing games, listening to or composing music with its dual stereo speaker setup. It also includes a stylus, known as the S-Pen, which I really like because it feels like a real pen. The stylus comes in the box and when used, it provides a great experience.

Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S3 is designed to be a professional device, featuring a detachable key that serves as a case. I liked the keys' feel, noting they're nice and responsive with good travel. They attach with pogo pins, eliminating the need for pairing or batteries. However, the keyboard is separate from the tablet, which might be a drawback for some users.

In terms of processor, the Galaxy Tab S3 has the Snapdragon 820 SOC, which might seem dated for the price but I'm okay with it. The device comes with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of internal storage, expandable via the SD card slot. It also boasts fast charging capabilities.

The question is, would I buy this tablet? While I really like it, I probably wouldn't due to my reliance on a pocket portable smartphone ecosystem. If I want something bigger, I'd opt for a laptop instead. However, that pen and AMOLED displays certainly make this device appealing. So, let me know what you think about this device and if you would buy it, especially at the price point.

That's all for now. If you enjoyed this video, please rate, comment, and subscribe. I'll be back with more MWC content soon. Bye!

galaxy book looking at the Galaxy Tab s 3 it is a really nice Android tablet whose interface is very reminiscent of Galaxy smartphones even featuring tools like Air Command creating animated gifts even screen off memo plus many other familiar galaxy elements that we know and love this thing is essentially an s7 note 7 combo so if you are in the market for an Android tablet this may be worth looking at that is if you don't mind the price which I am hearing can top over 800 US dollars for the highest end LTE model it is stupidly thin and light with a premium glass and aluminum build quality that assures it is a very high quality tablet and it definitely feels like it so the glass makes it very smudgy the display is 4.3 aspect 9.7 inch AMOLED capable of playing HDR content with a resolution of 2048 by 1536 and it looks absolutely beautiful on the front we have a home button and fingerprint sensor combo with left and right the passages buttons then on the back we have a 16 another set of stereo speakers and on the right are microphones SD card slot / SIM card slot power and volume buttons now this tablet is meant for consuming media whether it is playing games listening to or composing music with its dual stereo speaker setup watching videos or even drawing with the included s-pen yes it includes an S Pen in the box and when playing with it I really like this S Pen because it is nice and sick so it is more akin to the feeling of a real pen this tablet is also meant to be a professional device as well there is a key detachment that also serves as a case that I really liked the keys feel nice and responsive is good travel and it attaches with pogo pins so there's no pairing or batteries nothing like that is required but unfortunately the keyboard is separate unlike with the s-pen though it is included with the galaxy book processor wise it has the Snapdragon 820 SOC which is seen as a bit dated for the price but I'm honestly ok with it it's got 4 gigabytes of RAM 32 gigabytes of internal storage which is expandable by the SD card slot and if fast charging six thousand millions hours battery so the question is after playing with this would I
