for the first trip no you gotta be pretty happy very the hood we uh we had a hood and it was running a little bit hot so we're putting louvers in it and didn't quite get it done ah i got you that's what's your goal for this one i'll have a better idea after i stay in it but if i could hit 190 i'd be happy yep all right we'll look for you up on the starting line all right thank you very much so 183 56 chevy just did 183 i'm curious if it'll do 200 i'm wondering i'm also curious like where it runs out of gear but it just did 183 it's not bad you went the whole track congrats so did it feel good it did feel good uh the thing i realized is i never got into fourth oh really yeah it was uh at that i guess i okay i had never had it up there before oh yeah and so i put him forth and as soon as i left the gas station so i got a little left we did we took a tenth out of our 60 foot and took almost three tenths out of our quarter so yeah yeah i think this next one you should be in the 190 if you get a clean pass that's cool that's it's a little warm now i'm going to make another one but i'm going to try to get out as early as possible tomorrow let's see we'll see how the next pass goes i love this 56 chevy because this car was never intended to do a half mile much less at the speed it doesn't so whoa 181 181 for the 56 yeah chevrolet never intended for those cars to go that fast but looks pretty well built i'm excited to see if it does closer to 200 maybe good morning good morning so almost almost 1 90 yesterday oh almost i knew i'd see you this morning because you can't leave the event no there's no close to 190 and it's cooler this morning oh yeah we just got a nice tailwind behind me here yep that's gonna hold the tail in a little bit cooler so we're we're hoping for one low one 90s that'd be nice have you changed anything on the tune or just you probably shouldn't need to the weather should should just do the rest i think last last run yesterday i turned it up uh the boost a little bit uh but apparently i needed to tweak it just a hair more but that's where it is today i think we're good all right good luck thank you all right we got a special treat we got our favorite ctsb wagon right here i guess the 56 chevy over there to two of our favorite cars on the property about to race each other 56 is spinning pretty good yeah 190 yeah 191 181 191 for the 56 he hit his 190 hell yeah and then uh 198 for the cadillac so he's this close to 200 there you go i don't know it feels good 191 ah yeah did it yeah awesome i tell you what i don't know if you could see it from down there but the first 500 feet i was fighting i saw it i saw it i was i was i didn't completely get out of it but i did probably three or four back and forth um yeah i definitely saw it you can see the haze the tires yeah yeah but it felt good on top end so yeah i'm gonna let a little air out see if i can get a little stronger launch and uh perfect see if i can add a couple more miles an hour to it that's crazy what you have to do for the extra mile an hour mile an hour when you get up to 190 the guy was telling me earlier 50 horsepower for every mile an hour over 190 that makes sense we'll see if we can uh bump it up a little bit more that's what i like to hear next up 191 miles per hour 191 still pretty good for a 56 chevy so nice and consistent yes absolutely let's get around like i said feeling strong it's trying to get through that first three four hundred feet yeah it's just i can't i just can't give it a lot of power it went pretty straight though it did that one that one was pretty good um i can't complain 191 192 well it's great to see the car out here thank you we'll see a drag strip soon and drag week soon enough right absolutely midwest drags next june hopefully perfect and drag week next september and out here in august awesome all right that's a plan thank you

nova but i don't know if he was running yep yeah he's about to run there's like a 70s firebird too oh kind of cool tell me about the combo you got going on in the car uh it's a 632 a pump gas motor twin 88 turbos it's got a 4 l80e in it a 4 9 inch rear end it's a 6 0 certified car we're hoping we're hoping on pump gas to get it into the high sevens uh may not quite make it but then once if we have to go to racecast to get it there that's what we'll do what what uh what kind of power do you think it'll make turn all the way up right now we're at about 14 at the crank maybe get close to 15 on the pump cast but that's about 15 16 pounds of boost that'd be as high as we want to go yeah you don't want to crank the boots too much on that gas and that's just straight out of the fuel pump on
