This is FINALLY Possible! - Triple 4K high refresh gaming (LG Ultragear 27GN950-B)
**Cyberpunk Gaming Experience**
As we dove into the world of Cyberpunk 2077, our team encountered an unexpected challenge - the game's menus were not cooperating with the HOTAS (Hands On Touchscreen Attack Stick) system. "You kidding me?" one of the testers exclaimed, as they struggled to adjust the field of view. The game was running at a smooth 40 frames per second, but the menu issues made it difficult to navigate.
After some experimentation, we discovered that the menus were indeed broken - or rather, not properly configured for use with the HOTAS system. However, when we pressed the arrow keys, the options became visible, and we were able to access the game's settings. It was a minor glitch, but one that highlights the importance of ensuring that games are designed with multi-monitor setups in mind.
As we continued to play Cyberpunk 2077, we noticed that the game was running remarkably well on our equipment. The graphics settings were not Ray Tracing, but rather medium or high texture quality, which resulted in detailed textures and a immersive experience. We were able to run the game at triple 4K resolution without any issues, with smooth performance at 56 frames per second.
The team was impressed by the game's visuals, especially when paired with our LG UltraGear monitors. "It sounds good to me," one of the testers said, as they took in the stunning vistas and intricate details of the game world. The G-SYNC technology on our monitors helped to smooth out even lower frame rates, creating a more immersive experience.
As we played through the game's tutorial mission, we encountered some glitches and quirks - including a unexpected "citizen's arrest" scene where random passersby began chasing one of the characters. However, these minor issues did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the game.
In the end, our team was able to complete the tutorial mission without too much difficulty, thanks to the smooth performance and immersive visuals of Cyberpunk 2077 on our LG UltraGear monitors. The game's design and technology make it an excellent example of what can be achieved in gaming, and we look forward to continuing to explore its world and gameplay mechanics.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- I can't believe thisis running at all though. The impressive thing is howflipping well this is runningconsidering that we're at three times 4K.Being able to like seeeverything like that, yeah, it's awesome.A few short years ago, running Triple-A games at 4Krequired multiple graphics cards like thisto get anything close to 60 FPS.Well, guess what? Now we're flipping the script. We're gonna run, there it is,multiple 4K monitors ona single graphics card.- Oh God.- And you know what, I've actually gota really good feeling about this.LG who sponsored this video, sent over three of theirUltraGear 27GN950s to try it out. These things are a realhot item right now.4K, IPS panel, 144 Hertzand lightning fastone millisecond ratedpixel response times.Dang! That's perfect for driving games like.- Like squadrons.- Well no.Squadrons isn't a driving gameand also isn't like that cool anymore. It's all about cyberpunk now.So it's perfect for atmosphericgames, on me, on me.Perfect.- Like squadrons. There's atmospheric, you're in the atmosphere.- Okay we'll play squadrons on it.- Yes, yes.Is that graphics card okay?- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.I did that totally on purpose. This is a dummy GPU.(yelling)You got it for the ground.(upbeat music)Multi display setups have been a mainstayof high-end PC gaming for, well, basically as long asPC gaming has been a thing, but it used to be super hard to do.Like the triple monitormode for the original doomrequired three network PCs.One for each monitor. These days it's a little simpler. We only need one PC but,it does have to have somepretty serious horsepower. So we've gone with a Ryzen 9, 5900X.That's a 12 core processor. We've got 64 gigs of 3,200megahertz DDR4 memory.Got a nice fat NoctuaNH-D15 cooler up in here. And of course for graphics,we've gone with theAsus ROG Strix RTX 3090.What makes this card uniquely suitablefor what we're doing todayis exactly the same thingthat makes it suitablefor gaming at 8K.So it's not actually that much fasterthan an RTX 3080 in terms of raw speed. But what it has is 24 gigs of VRAMwhich is really important for running atvery high resolution. And TRiPLE 4K is obviouslythree times the pixel count of 4K.And actually it's about,it's only 75% as much as 8K.So while 8K pushes this card to its limitand it's only like sort of doable. This might actually work really wellas long as we don't use a dummy card.Of course we can't run triple4K monitors without meeting, well, at least one of the 4Kmonitors we'll be using today. The UltraGear 27GN950.Honestly I'm so glad LG sponsored thisbecause that's the only wayto get your hands on these things.(laughs)- They're not in stock anywhere.- They're out of stock everywhere. And that's totally understandable. We've seen such a leap forwardin gaming monitor technologyover the last year or so,that it totally makes sense to methat so many people areupgrading right now.I mean, what does it not freaking have? It's 4K?It goes up to 144 Hertz, which as we've shown inthe past does delivera noticeable, tangible performanceimprovement to the gamer. It's got visa displayHDR600 certification. So it works with HDR10 content. It's got support for both AMD free SYNCand it's G-SYNC compatible. And the biggest one isthat all of that comeswithout sacrifices to color accuracyor pixel response times. It's rated for one millisecondwhich if we're being honestis not freaking how that worksin the real world, but it's really darn good. And because it's IPSyou get to enjoy accuratecolors while you're gamingrather than like washed out ugly colorslike we got from the TNgaming monitors of days past.So you've got a single USB3 type B,that gives you two more ports, display port in HDMI inand another one of thoseas well as a headphone jack and power in.Now, I just need two more of them.- Well, now it's up tome to finish the setup.(sighing)Here we go.We already had the other monitors un-boxedbecause it's like thatcooking show kind of magic. It's already ready.Pre-cooked.Yeah.We had the monitors pre-cooked.Cause these things actuallyhave pretty thin bezelswhen you line them up just right.Hopefully the ideas they weregoing to be pretty seamlessas far as three monitors go.I gotta have a perfect if I'mgonna poll-noobs and squadronsif blindness lets me play squadrons. It's pretty good.I was all excited hebrought the HOTAS over. This thrust master T1600M.I guess Linus is moreexcited about cyberpunkand I am too. But, what I'm really excitedabout is try squadronsbecause that's what why you, that's why you do a triple monitor set up.Cyberpunk still only havetwo eyes most of the time.So what are you,now for the moment of truth. We find out if it still turns on.If it doesn't, it's not my fault.(exhaling)(laughing)I didn't break anything.- Change resolution, change that refresh rate at 144.- There it is.- Oh yeah. Now you need display stream compressionin order to run 144 Hertz at 4Kover a single display port 1.4 link.Fortunately RTX3000 seriesand Radeaon 6,000 series GPU'sdo support this featureand so does this monitor.I should be very careful with that Radeonlike old 6,000 series ones do not.- The new 6,000.- The new 6,000 series.- How many 6,000 series are there?- At least three for AMD.There was the X800,there's 9600, there was (indistinct).- No, you should notan old man moment right now.We got to play some games.Let me figure it out then.- No, no, no I got it already.- I can text all the tech tips.- It works,it's 11520 by 2160.- Wooh.- That's a lot of pixels. And then we just got to turn on HDR.- How do you think, howdo you like the alignment?- I think you did a great job Riley. My knees are a little soft.- Yeah we need a chair.- We need some way,we need some way to makethem more comfortable.LTTstore.com CPU pillow.- Oh, there we go.Perfect.I'm still going to get you a chair though.- Why is it doing this whole thing?Press Space.- But it looks so cool.- What?- Look how stylish it is.- You play thisgame like four times now.So I didn't have timeto configure cyberpunkand may also just not like you.And it may also be that weshould just play squadrons.- So here's the thingabout surround gaming.Brand new games tend not to targetthis very tiny demographic. This does not appearto have been validatedin any meaningful way.So I guess we'll play squadrons.- Press likewhere the eight buttonwould be on the control.- This is freaking awesome.- What?- Will just like beingable to like see everythinglike that.Yeah, it's awesome.Oh boy. This might be too, this might be too complicatedfor me to just jump in.(Riley laughs)- Boost.- Boost. What's a,okay boost.Yeah, there we go we're boosting.- And now drift.- We're boosting. All right it's like this now.Oh, we hit a thing.(Riley laughs)In game. 104 frames persecond at 4K times three.- Is that for real or not?- That is freaking nuts.Yeah we're at like high-ish, medium-ish.Should we just crank it?- I think volumetricquality has to be at medium.- Oh, hello.- Did it?Oh, it might crash the desktop.Yep.So one quirk that I'vediscovered by reading somethingthat someone else discovered onlineis that when you're doinga triple monitor setup in squadrons, volumetric quality has to be set to mediumeven if everything else is setto ultra, high or whatever. It doesn't matter.Or fleet battles andpractice mode won't workwith trouble monitors set up.So that's a tech tip.Utra, volumetric quality medium.Ultra, ultra. We're still getting a 100 FPS.You kidding me?Okay.Let's find in an enemy squadron.Oh, man.Okay.So this is hard with the HOTAS.This is actually the firsttime that I've foughtagainst enemies using a HOTAS.Oh, I got him.(chuckles)Well we got it working, I guess. This doesn't look super great.I feel like there's somefield of view adjustmentswe need to make. But, we can't make thefield of view adjustmentsbecause I can't.The menu seems to be(laughing) screwed up.We are running at 40something frames per second. When I'm moving around a lot.Oh, okay.(laughs)That was a glitch it was a tutorial. There's kids just walking aroundin Knight City unsupervised. Why does this one look like an old man?- You got cyberpunk working?- It is working Linus.- Wow.- So like it turns outthe menus are booked.- Oh yeah.- In cyberpunk.- Yeah, when I signedto 8K it broke as well.Okay, there's no, man.- Like you can't seeanything but if you pressthe arrow keys, you can see that the options are there.(laughing)- Hey look it's wide Putin.Actually, it's more like wide Kim Jong-un.- Wide Putin.- In a perfect world we'dwant the field of viewto be a little wider.- Yeah.- But, the impressivething is how flipping wellthis is runningconsidering that we're at three times 4K.- I was going to ask youbecause I don't even know whatgraphic setting this is at.- This is not Ray traced. This looks like maybemedium if I had to guess.Medium or high.I think this is gonnabe high texture quality.Because these look like garbage.Like you can't even readthem at medium textures.I can't believe this isrunning at all though.- Like it's pretty wild.Oh no dude.- What It's happening right now?- Random citizensare doing a citizen's arrest.- Okay.- You're a monster.- Man it is so nicewhen games are designedwith multi-monitor in mind. That's why we saved this for last you guyscause this is freaking sick. You know what, let's just, let's justleave it on automatic.- It sounds good to me.- This is fricking awesome.See, this is what it'ssupposed to look like.- Yeah.- Not all stretched out on the side.So when you find gamesthat support it properlyit is a total immersion changer. And the fact that we are running thisat 56 frames per second right nowjust like native resolution, triple 4K.This is.- Man it's wild.- With a game like this the thing is that,if you're running G-SYNCyou can see so much of whatis coming out ahead of youthat you don't need like 100.- Right.- It's not like a tweetshooter or something. You only need 120 frames per second.- Totally.- So this is a pretty great experience.Cause G-SYNC or freeSYNC goes a long way waytowards smoothing outeven lower frame rates.- Will you still sayit's a pretty great experienceeven though you're like in the last?- I am not in line, sir.(laughing)There's definitely cars behind Riley. There are clearly.- Oh, nice moves dude.- Oh, yeah, I was not. That was not real smooth.- You're a regular David Beckham.- Different sport, different sport.Okay.We're in the cockpit.- Oh, you'redefinitely in that cockpit.- This is HDRAF ladies and gentlemen. So it's supposed to look dark.Supposed to be like permafrost. Not everyone likes it.It's not necessarily thebest for competitive playbut if it's more like youjust wanna have the experienceof, you know, drivingaround on a racetrack.- I wanna feellike Charles Barkley.- Yeah.Like Wayne Gretzky.(Riley laughs)So that's it guys istriple 4K gaming possible?Yes.Is it going to cost aninordinate amount of money? Also yes. But, what I love about it,is you know what happens with technology,it tends to go down inprice and up in speed. So if we're doing this today, it's coming. And LG is leading the charge. So you guys can check outLG's UltraGear monitors down in the linkin the video description. Thanks to LG for sponsoring this video. Thanks to you guys for watching it.If you wanna see more cyberpunk,we actually played cyberpunkcompletely maxed outon an 8K TV.Incidentally also from LG,we gonna have that videolinks down below as well.(upbeat music)\n"
