the last video unfortunately we did not want to continue racing with the NSX because the transmission was starting to make a pretty serious noise so we decided it was in our best interest to lay off of that guy and not hurt anything more than we already have but today it's up to the hatch boys so they are starting the first round of qualifying here soon for the stick shift class my goal is to run in the sport stick shift class there are two stick shift classes there's Sports stick shift and Outlaw stick shift they will take the top 16 fastest cars in qualifying and they will go into Outlaw stick shift and there are some very fast cars and Outlaw stick shifts Granite race things out here with their Supra and just several seven second all-wheel drive Civics those guys are very fast and the hatch you know they can't compete with those guys but it is fast enough that if some of these other cars break or they don't get good runs in after all the qualifying is over after the next couple days if the hatch runs you know a really deep nine second pass there's a chance that we could be like the last qualifier in that Outlaw class which would really suck because we wouldn't make it very far so my goal is to try to qualify high in the sport stick shift class which will be the bottom 16 cars and then if you don't go fast enough to get in the top 32 field at all then you don't get to race at all and all you get is your qualifying runs so that's what we're working with we're hoping for maybe a low 10 to high nine this first hit we have a 960 tune in it and it did that at this very track so I mean if I just let her eat it might go 9 59.60 actually and I guess we'll just see where that lies we don't want to run too slow but we just don't want to give her everything she has so I guess we'll just go out there give it our best shot and see where we end up all right I seen your car yesterday yeah a little sideways over there today I broke it you broke yours yesterday yeah it broke the timing chain on that pass oh no yeah it went 400 450 feet under power and still went 160 mile an hour Town yeah I was riding but it broke the timing chain at a vents of valves so last night I drove home dropped it off and brought the Nova oh got the Nova I'll swapparoo there you go figure there's I gotta race in a month with a Nova so I figured uses a test session iron it out you know but I don't know if you heard but I heard something in the trans broke the trains it's just making a noise you know I was gonna let you drive it soon keep up that promise but um it did 161 turned down and qualifying which was perfect I was number two qualifier in that slower roll race class so I was set up just like how I was yet last year yeah but unfortunately yeah there's a noise in there I know it's bad enough to where it would it would break something if we pushed it made a smart call yeah it could be a 400 mistake instead of a ten thousand dollar mistake you know one of those deals break something else and it shoots something out the case and you have to walk back the tires lock up or something you never know I'm sure yeah good call on that hey it's out here looking good yeah stop it was in the nines or a low ten to see what we ran real quick oh yeah not bad at all we did a 9-8 at 146 with a one six to the 60 foot so that's pretty good for our first hit not gonna lie well it still runs I'll take that nine eight yeah not bad really bad launch we got to turn that up no well that was my fault it wasn't on the two-step Jamie came in really fast so I thought he was gonna pre-bulb and then I'd have a little longer to uh get on the two-step but the green light drops so quick that I was actually just trying to race Jamie and I just went right so well it wouldn't have been much of a race he went down the track with a shootout yeah I heard I heard but yeah no the 60 foot will come down a lot yeah 26 is still not even that terrible for how bad it bogged but yeah like we said we have it pretty turned down so it only went 146 out the back just to keep it kind of safe I think that should be a pretty good indicator of where we will sit so hopefully they get the first qualifying ladder together and see where we're at and if that's good enough to kind of get us in that lower section I mean throughout the weekend that's going to change into eliminations but you know I'm pretty happy with that I think we'll be sitting good good there I don't know if there's going to be a reason to really try to push much more out of it right now yeah I'd be curious like see where the rest of the Field's at City Center in and then go from there on it yeah it's going to come down if we're like kind of low in this bottom bracket and there's like a few guys ahead of us that have like nine sevens or nine sixes by chance and we want to try to bump ahead of those guys at least we might take it back out but if it's nothing like that and The Field's not too tight then there should be no reason we need to really run her again right now but we'll just kind of wait it out and uh yep see how she does see what it did and tell it from there yeah might as well not make more passes than we need to keep her alive keep her good the hatch is always done good for us coming through after the NSX broke yesterday but yeah I'll take a look at the log and hang out and see if we need to go again later so after the first round of qualifying in the Stitch shift class right now I am sitting at number 15 in Outlaw my car number is 9915 for some reason they don't have my information right here even though I did fill out my tech card but this is me 9.8 at 146 and I need to be right here where Jamie is he's actually sitting at number one qualifier for the sport stick shift class I know Jamie's going to go out again and probably move up because his car is definitely you know capable of an eight so I'm sure Jamie will bump uh me down if he goes back out again today but I need a couple more cars to uh bump me down because I do not want to be up here in The Outlaw class because you look up here we got some very fast cars 7-0 from a stitch GM car 7-3 from a Nissan 75 all-wheel drive Civic some fast cars we don't have a chance in here but we need to be right there where Jamie is hopefully the day continues some of these guys will go a little bit faster and bump us down into here and then if we get bumped down too far uh in the sport class then we're gonna have to uh work our way back up to maintain position so they just called up the second round of qualifying for the stick shift class I am sitting this one out because I want some more cars to run faster times and knocked me back down into sport like we showed you earlier so I'm just gonna weigh this one out see where the field lies after this just so we can wait it out and get into Sport and not be with the outlaw guys I want to show you this right here you guys remember this is Josh's MR2 he is currently the second fastest MR2 in the world and if this thing puts together an A to B pass could very well beat our current MR2 record you know you guys saw this out last time when we had the two cars together Bradenton beautiful car and he is right there on the edge of getting that seven second pass he's been like four eight O's back to back this thing's just nasty and I know he really wants it and he's been fighting this thing for so long but I'm excited to see if this MR2 will be the second one into the sevens and it might happen right here and this is still an H pattern MR2 K series pretty similar to mine except it just has the H pattern instead of the sequential but uh yeah we have so many cool cars out here nasty all-wheel drive Civics one of them went a 7-5 today at 190 and then also we got this guy over here Aaron Lopez came out as well with a few h-22 crew you guys know him he's responsible for all the parts in my uh all-wheel drive Civic that we brought out here we'll probably talk to him later all these guys are just kind of in the zone right now getting ready to make some passes so I'm just kind of watching since I don't really need to since we qualified pretty good oh well guys we ended up going home yesterday after our first qualifying run we were trying to catch up on sleep I thought we were positioned pretty good waiting for other cars to bump me back down into that sport stick shift class but a lot has changed overnight they ran two more rounds of qualifying and I got bumped back pretty far down into sport we'll go show you guys the ladder here in a minute but uh we just rolled up I'm going to be turning the hatch up a little bit and raising the two-step you guys will see why in a second because we got to go a little faster today oh we got a lot to do but first I'll go over the ladder real quick and where we are sitting all right guys this is the updated stick shift class list right now I'm sitting at number 28th qualifier sitting here in sport as you can see I got bumped way down they did get my information in as well finally they were just missing some tech cards I guess so there was a total of 50 cars they got registered for the class that means we're missing three guys that might end up showing up today and still running to add to this list but ideally guys we want to be probably up here with these guys somewhere so right now the number one qualifier in sport is a 9.1 we know the hats can do a 9.3 if we're anywhere in like the 9-5 range and faster even better than a 9-6 being this top section right here I'll be very happy with that at least we're not an outlaw anymore so that's a good sign but we are kind of in trouble here if some of these guys underneath me go faster and bump me down because right now anyone's sitting under 32 all of these guys will not make it in unless they run fast enough to qualify with at least Sport and then you know that will change everything around so the bottom 32 don't make it in unless they go fast enough so I need to try to go faster to make sure I stay up here in sport and none of these guys can bump me out and I won't get to race at all so just like that a lot of things changed overnight looking at it now I probably should have made some more runs but it's not too big of a deal I think with a good launch and everything we'll have no issues getting the hatch into the deep nines do you end up running better yesterday after that yeah parachute mishap yeah I went 860 twice so we're still working on the short track but it's coming around pretty quick so I mean does that technically mean I have one against you here yeah you got one I'll give you that one let me have that one then we'll look at the qualifying sheet real quick yeah but uh where are you sitting right now I'm up putting together a pass and he is officially the second seven second MR2 in the world he didn't beat our record he won a 799 a 184 but he did it last night unfortunately I wasn't here to see it but I'm gonna go over to his tent right now and uh go talk to him I'm actually really glad that he got it because he's been working so hard for it but uh yeah I'm gonna go see what's up foreign 99 184. couple more guys went into the higher nines I'd like to try to qualify a little bit more but after we looked at the log we found out that boost was yeah that's about all she had dude the hatch made 50 pounds somehow I might have turned her up a little too much but that's all she had but the timing was dumbed way down dumbed silliness which is a lot of power left on the table so I Brent come over here just to make sure I didn't do nothing too stupid and we added a little more timing and we also raised the limiter up another couple hundred RPM because if we looked at the footage back we could see the front tires were actually starting to shake and they were wrinkled up super hard which tells us we need a little more wheel speed to prevent some of that so saying the car can take a little more we might be able to get that 60 foot a little better it was actually the best 330 this car has ever gone but when we ran it sick weekend went to 9-3 we just had a little more top end power depending on the tune you probably played with the timing then too because we because we re-uploaded the original Gainesville tune for this event yeah so the timing and all that stuff got way safe again but now we're starting to push her a little bit more I figured since we have the rest of the night we'll get this one qualifier in since it's the last one because if something on the car goes wrong you know this is some stuff we were going to have to do for tomorrow anyways so if something breaks like an axle or something simple we'll have time tonight to at least fix it then trying to figure out the first round of eliminations which is tomorrow so I decided to run it again and see what she does yeah it was a good choice We need the data to know how to make the hatch faster so this will help a lot for sure I dude that eBay turbo is hanging on for dear life that that exhaust wheel is about to eject yeah out of that Port right there I hope not as long as that little eBay turbo holds on we might have a chance boys but at least we're not an outlaw and overall we're actually qualified pretty good so we'll see how it goes I think it's going to come down to me getting good on the tree as well something I need to get a little better at I had a 0.5 reaction time last time so yeah you see the yellow bulbs and you gotta go so one more qualifier tonight guys and then tomorrow is a full day of eliminations so hopefully we can just move up a little bit and uh go from there well guys this is a pretty cool moment we got Aaron's car right here and right behind it we have the hatch this is the first time these cars have ever been together Aaron just went a 7-8 earlier at 184 miles an hour which is crazy and he ended up breaking a diff yesterday so as of right now this seven second Civic hatchback just like mine has the same exact drive train as we do guys the same dog box the same diff because he had to switch out to a stock open diff Wagon in the rear um his viscous is actually a little tighter on the fluid but everything in the drivetrain is identical to the hatch here so you know in theory guys if we just had some beefier rods in this motor with a bigger turbo and the fuel system to support it in theory the hatch could go sevens but the hatch is really fun where it's at running these low nines it just goes back to back this thing has been through so much and I just love it how it is but it's awesome to finally see the cars together you're gonna back up that seven eight Aaron we're gonna try to go a little faster a little faster still Civic so I gotta give it to him we gotta take Jamie out Brandon he is testing his car so it's not that bad but we will see all right got Kyle going up going up against Jamie lied with the shootout I'm sure he's like why is this thing not going fast yeah did I just throw my anchor foreign I was like where is Jamie at back there yeah in the back the back started dancing and I was like what the hell and I looked in the mirror and saw the parachute I barely I had a pretty good bog and I was like dude he's gonna beat me just needed chatter and shook but everything else felt okay yeah I mean I peddled it and then I jumped in it just knocked the shoot out so you know I wasn't really going anywhere well try it again at least she's still together yeah yeah so man we changed so much we got to figure out what it's gonna need on the launch and everything I mean this is pretty much your testing right now yeah that's exactly what it is that's the first for us having a shoot come out during a pass yeah oh cool I think even with the block I had a pretty good run I'd still say it was in the nines or a low ten to see what we ran real quick oh yeah not bad at all we did a 9-8 at 146 with a one six to the 60 foot so that's pretty good for our first hit not gonna lie well it still runs I'll take that nine eight yeah not bad really bad launch we got to turn that up no well that was my fault it wasn't on the two-step Jamie came in really fast so I thought he was gonna pre-bulb and then I'd have a little longer to uh get on the two-step but the green light drops so quick that I was actually just trying to race Jamie and I just went right so well it wouldn't have been much of a race he went down the track with a shootout yeah I heard I heard but yeah no the 60 foot will come down a lot yeah 26 is still not even that terrible for how bad it bogged but yeah like we said we have it pretty turned down so it only went 146 out the back just to keep it kind of safe I think that should be a pretty good indicator of where we will sit so hopefully they get the first qualifying ladder together and see where we're at and if that's good enough to kind of get us in that lower section I mean throughout the weekend that's going to change into eliminations but you know I'm pretty happy with that I think we'll be sitting good good there I don't know if there's going to be a reason to really try to push much more out of it right now yeah I'd be curious like see where the rest of the Field's at City Center in and then go from there on it yeah it's going to come down if we're like kind of low in this bottom bracket and there's like a few guys ahead of us that have like nine sevens or nine sixes by chance and we want to try to bump ahead of those guys at least we might take it back out but if it's nothing like that and The Field's not too tight then there should be no reason we need to really run her again right now but we'll just kind of wait it out and uh yep see how she does see what it did and tell it from there yeah might as well not make more passes than we need to keep her alive keep her good the hatch is always done good for us coming through after the NSX broke yesterday but yeah I'll take a look at the log and hang out and see if we need to go again later so after the first round of qualifying in the Stitch shift class right now I am sitting at number 15 in Outlaw my car number is 9915 for some reason they don't have my information right here even though I did fill out my tech card but this is me 9.8 at 146 and I need to be right here where Jamie is he's actually sitting at number one qualifier for the sport stick shift class I know Jamie's going to go out again and probably move up because his car is definitely you know capable of an eight so I'm sure Jamie will bump uh me down if he goes back out again today but I need a couple more cars to uh bump me down because I do not want to be up here in The Outlaw class because you look up here we got some very fast cars 7-0 from a stitch GM car 7-3 from a Nissan 75 all-wheel drive Civic some fast cars we don't have a chance in here but we need to be right there where Jamie is hopefully the day continues some of these guys will go a little bit faster and bump us down into here and then if we get bumped down too far uh in the sport class then we're gonna have to uh work our way back up to maintain position so they just called up the second round of qualifying for the stick shift class I am sitting this one out because I want some more cars to run faster times and knocked me back down into sport like we showed you earlier so I'm just gonna weigh this one out see where the field lies after this just so we can wait it out and get into Sport and not be with the outlaw guys I want to show you this right here you guys remember this is Josh's MR2 he is currently the second fastest MR2 in the world and if this thing puts together an A to B pass could very well beat our current MR2 record you know you guys saw this out last time when we had the two cars together Bradenton beautiful car and he is right there on the edge of getting that seven second pass he's been like four eight O's back to back this thing's just nasty and I know he really wants it and he's been fighting this thing for so long but I'm excited to see if this MR2 will be the second one into the sevens and it might happen right here and this is still an H pattern MR2 K series pretty similar to mine except it just has the H pattern instead of the sequential but uh yeah we have so many cool cars out here nasty all-wheel drive Civics one of them went a 7-5 today at 190 and then also we got this guy over here Aaron Lopez came out as well with a few h-22 crew you guys know him he's responsible for all the parts in my uh all-wheel drive Civic that we brought out here we'll probably talk to him later all these guys are just kind of in the zone right now getting ready to make some passes so I'm just kind of watching since I don't really need to since we qualified pretty good oh well guys we ended up going home yesterday after our first qualifying run we were trying to catch up on sleep I thought we were positioned pretty good waiting for other cars to bump me back down into that sport stick shift class but a lot has changed overnight they ran two more rounds of qualifying and I got bumped back pretty far down into sport we'll go show you guys the ladder here in a minute but uh we just rolled up I'm going to be turning the hatch up a little bit and raising the two-step you guys will see why in a second because we got to go a little faster today oh we got a lot to do but first I'll go over the ladder real quick and where we are sitting all right guys this is the updated stick shift class list right now I'm sitting at number 28th qualifier sitting here in sport as you can see I got bumped way down they did get my information in as well finally they were just missing some tech cards I guess so there was a total of 50 cars they got registered for the class that means we're missing three guys that might end up showing up today and still running to add to this list but ideally guys we want to be probably up here with these guys somewhere so right now the number one qualifier in sport is a 9.1 we know the hats can do a 9.3 if we're anywhere in like the 9-5 range and faster even better than a 9-6 being this top section right here I'll be very happy with that at least we're not an outlaw anymore so that's a good sign but we are kind of in trouble here if some of these guys underneath me go faster and bump me down because right now anyone's sitting under 32 all of these guys will not make it in unless they run fast enough to qualify with at least Sport and then you know that will change everything around so the bottom 32 don't make it in unless they go fast enough so I need to try to go faster to make sure I stay up here in sport and none of these guys can bump me out and I won't get to race at all so just like that a lot of things changed overnight looking at it now I probably should have made some more runs but it's not too big of a deal I think with a good launch and everything we'll have no issues getting the hatch into the deep nines do you end up running better yesterday after that yeah parachute mishap yeah I went 860 twice so we're still working on the short track but it's coming around pretty quick so I mean does that technically mean I have one against you here yeah you got one I'll give you that one let me have that one then we'll look at the qualifying sheet real quick yeah but uh where are you sitting right now I'm actually fourth from the bottom right now yeah yeah so I need to turn it up you need to step up Brent Coronas so yesterday after I left they ran another round of qualifying and Josh in the MR2 ended up putting together a pass and he is officially the second seven second MR2 in the world he didn't beat our record he won a 799 a 184 but he did it last night unfortunately I wasn't here to see it but I'm gonna go over to his tent right now and uh go talk to him I'm actually really glad that he got it because he's been working so hard for it but uh yeah I'm gonna go see what's up foreign 99 184. let's go dude finally did it how do you feel I feel good man I feel good it was all worth it this week's been tough uh I've been the control arm that last pass that I was here for yeah Lyman was a little almost off still we went to the center line officially the second seven second MR2 right here 7.99 at 184. what be able to get one or two more passes out of it but I don't think we're gonna be able to go through eliminations tomorrow it's just asking you know so what's your plan you think you're gonna try to qualify today we're gonna try to run and qualifying to see if we can get like back up the number and maybe push it uh maybe take my record maybe take the record ideally that actually that is the plan but oh you still want to tell me I think at some point when both our cars are running 100 we gotta line them up just to do it we got to do it man just why not man just a friendly Battle of the two fastest mr2s out there all the time because I want to see a side by side seven second pass of both the mr2s yeah he might take it today see like when the comment section comes alive that's these guys those are the guys commenting yeah but it it's cool man like I mean we're gonna do it we've talked about it like once we get our cars more dialed in and where would you put on the trail yeah we'll need to bump ourselves up a couple tents like I said I turned the car up we got the two-step set a little higher the hatch isn't quite on kill but it should be able to run a 950 no problem on this tune-up as long as I don't botch the launch like I did against Jamie so we're going to go ahead and put this thing in line and hopefully move up in position on that qualifying ladder all right guys we got the hatch in line here it looks like for our next round of qualifying we are going up against this stick shift Mustang right here I looked them up on the board he ran a 9-7 so this actually might moral support okay what's your guess how much would you go 980 980 and you turned it up a good bitter a little bit a little bit and it had a kind of botched launch on the 980. you get the launch I'm gonna say nine two nine two have faith in her that's right I'll give it my best shot dude I'm thinking a nine a 958 at 1 50. my guess let's say 9 9 28. all right on that laptop you're supposed to be moral support only yeah I turned it up right no moral support not tuning support okay now I'm just gonna go from the bottom to the top foreign foreign come on Aaron he's been a 770 before and that other all-wheel drive Civic over there is also no joke 184 hell yeah let's go Aaron power let's go well guys it was kind of a tough decision but we decided to put the hatch back in line again today right now we're sitting eighth qualifier in the sport class which is pretty good A couple more guys went into the higher nines I'd like to try to qualify a little bit more but after we looked at the log we found out that boost was yeah that's about all she had dude the hatch made 50 pounds somehow I might have turned her up a little too much but that's all she had but the timing was dumbed way down dumbed silliness which is a lot of power left on the table so I Brent come over here just to make sure I didn't do nothing too stupid and we added a little more timing and we also raised the limiter up another couple hundred RPM because if we looked at the footage back we could see the front tires were actually starting to shake and they were wrinkled up super hard which tells us we need a little more wheel speed to prevent some of that so saying the car can take a little more we might be able to get that 60 foot a little better it was actually the best 330 this car has ever gone but when we ran it sick weekend went to 9-3 we just had a little more top end power depending on the tune you probably played with the timing then too because we because we re-uploaded the original Gainesville tune for this event yeah so the timing and all that stuff got way safe again but now we're starting to push her a little bit more I figured since we have the rest of the night we'll get this one qualifier in since it's the last one because if something on the car goes wrong you know this is some stuff we were going to have to do for tomorrow anyways so if something breaks like an axle or something simple we'll have time tonight to at least fix it then trying to figure out the first round of eliminations which is tomorrow so I decided to run it again and see what she does yeah it was a good choice We need the data to know how to make the hatch faster so this will help a lot for sure I dude that eBay turbo is hanging on for dear life that that exhaust wheel is about to eject yeah out of that Port right there I hope not as long as that little eBay turbo holds on we might have a chance boys but at least we're not an outlaw and overall we're actually qualified pretty good so we'll see how it goes I think it's going to come down to me getting good on the tree as well something I need to get a little better at I had a 0.5 reaction time last time so yeah you see the yellow bulbs and you gotta go so one more qualifier tonight guys and then tomorrow is a full day of eliminations so hopefully we can just move up a little bit and uh go from there well guys this is a pretty cool moment we got Aaron's car right here and right behind it we have the hatch this is the first time these cars have ever been together Aaron just went a 7-8 earlier at 184 miles an hour which is crazy and he ended up breaking a diff yesterday so as of right now this seven second Civic hatchback just like mine has the same exact drive train as we do guys the same dog box the same diff because he had to switch out to a stock open diff Wagon in the rear um his viscous is actually a little tighter on the fluid but everything in the drivetrain is identical to the hatch here so you know in theory guys if we just had some beefier rods in this motor with a bigger turbo and the fuel system to support it in theory the hatch could go sevens but the hatch is really fun where it's at running these low nines it just goes back to back this thing has been through so much and I just love it how it is but it's awesome to finally see the cars together you're gonna back up that seven eight Aaron we're gonna try to go a little faster a little faster still hot I don't put more in it until it goes faster good luck hey what'd you think of the Civic yeah it's got some character but it works you his PB of the seven six which is just nuts and then I followed him up with my PB with a 920.
