The Other Day with You Is Like Yeah Nick's Car Blew Up
The other day, something went down with you, and it was like, "Yeah, Nick's car blew up. I need to get a trailer and come up here right now." And I was like, "All panic, those are go, my god, they need help." Ten minutes later, I said by the way that was why this is Andy York you're gonna need help one day, and I'm gonna be like off and hang up the phone. I got other people, dammit boys, I wanted tougher competition, and I got it.
I lost to the 900 horsepower Mustang. Losing to a Mustang was not ideal, but I have to admit that the car is seriously fast. The guy said 875 horsepower to the wheels alone if I guess 914. Super cool, holy yeah, that's rock 'n' roll. Way more power than my car.
I Should Probably Go
We'll slip issues that sucks. There's no slip, 158. Wow, yeah, that's fast but it's my first time racing on that track. Cooling I the overflow is 75 to the wheels in that car how about that? Blowing cool, yeah, blowing pullin'. Well, that's what it takes to beat a vet. There are no birds allowed to do burnouts on this one.
All Right
You don't really need one, man savage Ravel I need it whether there's a brand new tire or not. I just want to he just wants to do whatever anyway, very fast Mustang. I'm gonna let the car cool down for a little bit and then get back out there here it is. The big moment. Nick and I are going to race.
The Moment Everyone Is Waiting For
I don't think I'm gonna do that well. I mean, the guy's got a full racing suit, so you know he's fast. So what were the times? Nick was 10-6 at 144, and I was 10-3 at 145. Okay, that's close. Barry, that's actually a lot closer than I thought. It went our paths see if you guys do another run together.
I Would Spray
He blew it up and I got my ass handed to me by that cr1. Which is about right. You might expect that nothing's fast, he's running like 60s so I think that's gonna do it for today though. Okay, very long day at the track but holy hell am I impressed with my Corvette this thing ran so good against some really serious cars out there.
And You Know
I did 12 passes down the strip not sure if I'm going to include every single one that might get a little bit repetitive but as you're gonna see in the video, as you saw in the video rather because I have to go edit it so I'm gonna see it in the future. The point is, I know a lot of runs down the track in Xero issues the car is fast. You can see Nick and I did the same event last year since then of course, I have a new car. His car has a little bit more power now and is lighter probably quite a bit lighter.
And My Car Is Faster This Year
This year it's definitely faster than my old car by far. By longshot running a hundred and forty-six in the quarter. Now of course we are starting from farther back so you might be asking, well if your car runs a 10-6 from a dead stop how is it possible that you only run a 10-3 which was my best time today? A 10-3 at 1:46. We're starting at 50 miles an hour 45 to 50 but we're also starting a lot farther back so that's how that works.
But Done
Yeah, the car is faster this year than the old car was last year by far and the mods are a little bit different. I had more mods though in the old car because I had ported blower pulley e85 exhaust and intake. This year I have an AFE intake instead of a Haul Tech. I have Kooks headers rather than American Racing. I have an upper pulley no ported blower stock blower, and meth injection.
So You Can See That
With this build I would recommend going with meth injection rather than 85 we're doing both whatever but either way the mods I've done for this vehicle seem to be producing a better end result than the old car did. But that's no surprise because doing meth is always a good idea.
Before I Forget
Speaking of the build, I have to give that huge thank you to Andy from DFR Diablo Formula Racing and of course his sidekick Max. They did a perfect job on the vehicle. You know, couldn't've done it without them really tired. I don't even feel like unloading the meth baby but I hope that you enjoyed watching my Corvette run fast.
