Airpods Pro Vs Beats Studio Buds - Which is the Best?

**A Comparative Analysis of AirPods Pro and Beats Earbuds**

In this article, we will delve into a detailed comparison of two popular earbud options: AirPods Pro and Beats. Our analysis will cover various aspects of both earbuds, including their design, functionality, and performance.

**Design Comparison**

The first thing that stands out when comparing the AirPods Pro and Beats is their design. The AirPods Pro have a sleek gloss white color scheme, while the Beats have a more matte red finish. In terms of touch functions, both earbuds offer some unique features. The AirPods Pro have a small squeeze pad on the side of their stem that provides haptic feedback, while the Beats have a small plateau-like feature that serves as the touch interface. Additionally, the AirPods Pro have two separate ear sensors, which provide better noise cancellation and sound quality. On the other hand, the Beats do not have any ear sensors, but they do have a small vent on the outside of their stem that serves as a pass-through for ambient mode.

**Wireless Charging**

Another notable difference between the AirPods Pro and Beats is their wireless charging capabilities. The AirPods Pro come with wireless charging, while the Beats do not. However, it's worth noting that both earbuds have small enough cases to fit in your pocket without any issues. The AirPods Pro fit a bit better than the Beats, but they will still work adequately.

**Ear Tip Design**

Interestingly, the Beats are owned by Apple, and one might expect them to have the same proprietary ear tip design as the AirPods Pro. However, the Beats actually have a slightly different ear tip design that includes a small double hole feature on the outside for the microphone. This feature works as an ambient mode, allowing users to hear their surroundings.

**Earbud Shake Test**

To test how well each earbud stays in your ears, we conducted a shake test. For the AirPods Pro, we inserted them into our ear and shook them vigorously. To our surprise, they stayed in place without falling out or getting dislodged. The Beats also performed reasonably well in this test, staying in place despite being shaken.

**Connectivity Comparison**

Now that we've covered the design aspects of both earbuds, let's move on to their connectivity features. For the AirPods Pro, pairing was relatively seamless using our iPhone 12 Pro. However, for the Beats, we had to use a third-party app to pair them with our Android phone. Unfortunately, this process didn't always work as smoothly.

**AirPods Pro Pairing**

To demonstrate the pairing process of the AirPods Pro on our iPhone 12 Pro, we opened the case and placed it next to the phone. We then pressed the "connect" button, and voilà! The earbuds quickly paired with our device. This seamless integration was a delight to experience.

**Beats Pairing**

On the other hand, pairing the Beats on our Android Galaxy Z Flip required a different approach. We opened the case and placed it next to the phone, followed by pressing the "connect" button. While this process didn't require any special apps or software, it did take a bit longer than the AirPods Pro pairing experience.

**Android Integration**

It's worth noting that the Beats offer better integration with Android devices compared to the AirPods Pro. The Beats have a dedicated app for Android users, which provides features like customizable EQ settings and wireless audio streaming. This level of integration is not available on the AirPods Pro, at least not yet.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, both the AirPods Pro and Beats are high-quality earbuds that offer excellent performance and features. However, if I had to pick a winner between these two options, I would choose the AirPods Pro due to their superior sound quality, noise cancellation, and seamless integration with iOS devices. While the Beats have some unique features, such as their Android-friendly app, they fall short in comparison to the AirPods Pro's overall performance.

**Recommendation**

If you're choosing between these two earbuds and you have an iPhone, I would recommend going with the AirPods Pro. However, if you're an Android user, the Beats might be a better option due to their integration features. Ultimately, it comes down to your personal preferences and needs.

**Final Thoughts**

In our analysis of the AirPods Pro and Beats earbuds, we've seen that both options offer unique features and performance. While the AirPods Pro excel in most areas, the Beats have some notable advantages, such as their Android-friendly app. Ultimately, it's essential to consider your specific needs and preferences when choosing between these two excellent earbud options.

pro the top apple logo on the side airpods on the front the image of the headphones in the case on the back all right so we're going to open the case the original design battle in california get your little startup guide manual then you get the headphones take that out then you get ear tips two pairs and a extra charging cable now for the beats you have a little tab right here that you rip open very satisfying all right and then got a little tab pull that off open right here ah this is kind of cool it all comes out in a little backpack looking thing let's check out what we got here okay we got the headphones right here with the case oh okay so that's a bit bigger of a case than we're looking at for the airpods not too much bigger but still bigger similar lids similar lids reminds me of the original airpods here we got the touch functions try it for free apple music oh three minutes free right here anybody want to scan get some three months free go ahead scan it up if it'll focus and whatever okay what else we got android and the rest is okay back we have usb cd usb c to usb c charging cable right here and um this appears to be a little box i want to say ah two pairs of extra ear tips just like the originals but they're red i wonder how they connect uh they do the old way dang it all right let's talk about the price of the two the airpods pro come at 250 us dollars where the beats studio buzz go for around 150 us dollars all links will be in the description these are actively they are actively updating so if there's a discount you're gonna need to check that link because i've seen the airpods for around 200. before and that makes the price difference a lot less and so yeah check out the link below now for the my quality all right so in my ears right now are the beats studio buds the new ones and this is the mic quality you can expect from them testing testing one two three hopefully you can hear my voice loud and clear i will also be including the stadium crowd effect noise in the background see how they do with that in five four three two one here we go all right so now i have this shading prototype noise in the background and this is my quality reflection testing testing one two three hopefully you can hear my voice still over this ruckus for my ears and i've got a super playing crowd noise and uh yeah testing testing one two three studio fun all right so in my ears right now are the air pods pro and this my quality can expect from them testing testing one two three hopefully you can hear my voice loud and clear we're just gonna tap the side of the earbud to make sure it's coming from there all right let's begin the stadium crowd effect noise all right so now we have the stadium contact noise in the background and into my quality some expecting them testing texting one two three hopefully my voice loud and clear cruises loud ruckus and uh yeah one two three air pump pro all right let's talk about the audio quality of the two all right after listing the two side by side for last little while this is my conclusion in my opinion the airpods pro do sound a bit better they just seem to be a little bit more balanced than the beats the beats just seem to be like they're more treble heavy which is kind of i don't know it's not my preferred way to listen to music i'm sure if you had an equalizer you could adjust that but you don't you don't get one with this but so the airpods pro in my opinion sound a little bit better they're a little bit more balanced they have like a little bit more bass and then like the treble is a little bit lower so in my opinion it sounds better but they do both sound really crisp and clear like you can hear the music clearly i just wish that it was tuned in a little bit different way other than that i do like them both okay so both of these earbuds have anc and ambient mode if you don't know anc is it's active noise cancellation it uses anti-noise to block out the noise surrounding you just have a super quiet listening experience and ambi mode is when you use the outboard microphones and projects what is outside in your ears it should just sound like your own ears listening with the earbuds in very cool feature as for the two the airpods pro do very very good on both their ambient mode is really really good it sounds literally just like your own ears at least to me their anc is also very very good it seems to block out pretty much everything and it even adapts a little bit and it's really really good and i like it a lot great for airplanes and just like anything that's just constant noise it'll block it out as for the beats their ambient mode it kind of sucks i'm gonna be honest it's really really really subpar like yes it's clear like you don't get any like fuzzy noise but it's really really quiet and i think it's just because the microphones on the beats are just kind of weak but their anc is actually pretty pretty good it's not quite to the level of the airpods pro but it's still pretty good and does get the job done and from what i can tell it blocks out pretty well not quite as much as the airpods pro but still still decent amount this video is sponsored by akko akko is the all-in-one protection plan for all your devices you don't like your car you get insurance for things to protect it when you break it right but you don't really have that for your phone you do have like apple care or some other types of care but they always cost a ton of money and they only cover one device really but with akko this thing is a lifesaver this thing you can put your phone on there and 25 other electronics and it protects them all if they break or whatever they'll take care of you for example i have my iphone 12 pro max on there and my airpods pro and then if anything happens to them akka will take care of me and get my devices fixed or give me a new one depending on what the deal is i definitely recommend you guys checking out akko they are very very good deal for what you're getting you also get a month free with the code in the description to try out octo i definitely recommend you guys check it out back to the video all right let's talk about the battery life of the two the airpods pro can get five hours of audio playback with an additional 24 hours with the case these beats can get around eight hours of audio playback with an additional 16 hours with the case totaling 24 hours all right so i've done battery drain test in the past with the airpods pro and i can verify that these results are correct i have not done one yet for the beats but i will be doing one very very soon so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss that all right now for the features they both do connect right as you pull them out of the case they both have led indicators on them the airpods pro have wireless charging where the beats do not they both do have led indicators on the front the airpods pro charge via lighting charging cable where the beats charge via usb type c the air pods have ear sensors where the beats do not have those ear sensors the beats do claim to have this extra fast charging little thing for quick charge with the usb type-c and i think the airbox pro do have that too just not quite as quick as the new beats and overall they both do have software support the airpods only having real soft support on ios where the beats have it on ios and on android beats studio buds okay go right here ah transparency noise cancellation okay you only have you can only do siri really model name beats okay so i don't have quite as many features but they do have active noise cancellation and transparency all right well let's check out let me show you the airpods real quick so when the airpods are in um they do have a lot more features in their menu like little smaller features i say like their biggest feature is um the actual noise cancellations they have the same thing right here but they also have more functions here you can like choose between those you have ear tip fit test automatic ear detection connect phone spatial audio and you can like optimize battery charging they see they have more features but these also cost less and they even have a beats app on android and you can adjust all your things like noise cancelling it transparency you can rename them you can check out the product features very very cool got your touch functions yeah very very cool actually little integration for android i really really appreciate this now for the design of the case the airpods come in a gloss white case that has rounded corners and looks very clean where the beads come in two different colors red and black they have a similar shape as the air pods but they're a little bit more oval and they're pretty much bigger in every other dimension they both have a little led on the case the airpods is right below the lid where the beats is right below the beats logo on the case the airpods charge the lighting charging cable where the beats charge via usb-c which is kind of interesting to me because apple owns beats does this mean that the next airpods will charge via usbc i guess what to see both of their lids feel very high quality with a nice snap on both of them the airpods are a bit easier to open because they have a little indents at the lid seam where the beads are a little bit more difficult because they don't have that little indent the airpods have wireless charging where the beats do not they both have small enough cases to fit in your pocket with no issues the airpods fit a bit better but they will work alright now for the design of the earbuds looking at the two earbuds side by side they are pretty different in design first of all the airpods pro are a gloss white color where the beats are more of a matte red color for the touch functions the airpods pro have a little squeeze pad on the side of their stem that has haptic feedback also where the beats have a little plateau looking thing and also serves as the touch functions there's like an actual button on there the beats do not appear to have any ear sensors on them where the airpods pro have two separate ear sensors the airpods pro also have a little vent on the outside that serves as a pass through and the ambient mode might the beats have two silver contact points for charging they both stay down with magnets the airpods pro have two metal contact strips on the bottom of the stem one thing interesting to me is the ear tip beats is owned by apple and i would have thought they would have had the same proprietary ear tip like the airpods pro the beats have a little double hole thing on the outside for the microphone that works as the ambient mode i believe all right let's do an earbud shake test so we got the airpods part right here show you how they fit in the air here we go that's how they look i'm sure you've seen them around before little little pokey audi but not too bad all right let's do a shake test also just to see if they stay in your ears yeah they seem to have stayed in my ears all right let's show the beats this is what they look like inside your ears not too bad not too bad all right let's do a shake test see if they'll stay in my ears all right seems that they stayed in my ears let's get into the connectivity all right now we'll be pairing the two all right we are going to start with the new beats open the case put them next to the phone i'm pretty sure they should have the integration oh yeah check that out all right press connect that is beautiful whoa let's go all right for the airpods pro there they are just the same but with the air pods connect beautiful they do also have this little screen which these ones don't but they do have noise cancellation so we'll check that out all right now we're gonna be showing the pairing on android so i got my galaxy z flip right here here are the beats there we go they have that little cool setup thing like on other certain pairs of earbuds set up boom and they even have a beats app on android as for the air pods you have to get a third party thing to get them to connect and they just pair normally to your phone and just like that you're paired alright now for my personal opinion after using these two side by side for last little while this is my conclusion they are both very very high quality pieces of technology the airpods pro seem to be better in just about every area just by like a slight bump which will explain their price they just seem to beat the beats in just about every area the beats do have one thing where they have that support on android with their app which is actually super nice where the airpods don't really have that you have to do like a third party thing which doesn't really always work very well so the beats do excel in that area but other than that they pretty much get destroyed in every area if you're picking between the two and you have an iphone i would pick the airpods pro they're better just about every area and the price is really not that different if you get a deal on them as for android i'd probably pick the beats because they have that nicer integration but my
