2024 AUDI SQ8 4.0 TFSI V8 FACELIFT _ REVIEW

**Audi SQ8: A Luxury Performance SUV**

As I stepped out of the Audi's driveway and onto the scenic vineyards of Stellenbosch, South Africa, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The car that would be put to the test was none other than the new Audi SQ8, a luxury performance SUV that had been making waves in the automotive world. With its bold exterior design, impressive power output, and advanced features, the SQ8 is sure to impress even the most discerning driver.

One of the standout features of the SQ8 is its quad exhaust system, which provides a unique sound profile that sets it apart from its rivals. The exhaust notes are deep and throaty, with a hint of raspy intensity that adds to the car's overall character. But what really sets the SQ8 apart is its engine – a 4.0-liter TFSI unit that produces an impressive 770 Nm of torque and 570 horsepower. This may not be as much power as some of its rivals, such as the Audi RS Q8, but it's more than enough to get the job done.

**Engine and Performance**

The SQ8 is also notable for its use of different turbos and software compared to other Audi models, such as the RS Q8. This results in a slightly different character and sound profile compared to its sibling model. The result is a car that's well-suited to both daily driving and spirited performance driving. Whether cruising down the highway or tackling twisty mountain roads, the SQ8 delivers with ease and aplomb.

One of the things that struck me most about the SQ8 was its smooth and responsive gearbox. Unlike some other luxury SUVs, which can often feel sluggish and unresponsive when it comes to shifting gears, the SQ8's gearbox is quick and snappy, making it a joy to drive on the open road. The car also features an optional Quattro Sport Differential on the rear wheels, which provides even more traction and control when cornering or braking hard.

**Interior and Features**

The interior of the SQ8 is also noteworthy for its high-quality materials and attention to detail. The car's matte carbon fiber finish is particularly striking, adding a touch of sophistication and elegance to the cabin. While some might find the interior design to be slightly conservative, I found it to be tasteful and understated – a fitting complement to the car's bold exterior design.

One feature that stood out in particular was the SQ8's advanced infotainment system, which includes a range of modern features such as a high-definition display screen and a sophisticated interface. The interior also features a range of comfort-enhancing features, including adjustable ambient lighting, heated and cooled seats, and a premium audio system.

**Suspension and Handling**

The SQ8's suspension is another area where it really shines. With its advanced air suspension configuration, the car can adapt to changing road conditions with ease – filtering out potholes and other imperfections with remarkable ease. The result is a ride that's both comfortable and responsive, making the SQ8 an ideal choice for those who value a smooth and planted driving experience.

When put into Dynamic mode, the SQ8 becomes even more engaging and responsive, with a stiffer suspension setting that adds to the car's overall sense of agility and control. Whether tackling twisty mountain roads or cruising down the highway, the SQ8 delivers with confidence and precision – making it an ideal choice for drivers who crave excitement and adventure.

**Test Drive Experience**

As I put the SQ8 through its paces on the winding roads of South Africa, I was impressed by its performance and handling. The car's 4.0-liter TFSI engine provides a rich and satisfying sound profile, while its advanced infotainment system and driver assistance features make for a comfortable and convenient driving experience.

One feature that really stood out during my test drive was the SQ8's Dynamic mode – which allows drivers to tailor the car's suspension and transmission settings to suit their driving style. With this mode engaged, the SQ8 becomes even more responsive and engaging, making it an absolute blast to drive on twisty roads or winding mountain passes.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, I found the Audi SQ8 to be a truly exceptional luxury performance SUV – one that offers a unique blend of power, handling, and comfort. With its advanced engine and transmission configuration, stunning interior design, and impressive features list, the SQ8 is sure to appeal to drivers who crave excitement and adventure in their next vehicle. While it may not be the most extreme or extreme-performance-oriented SUV on the market, the SQ8 delivers with quiet confidence – making it an ideal choice for those who value performance, luxury, and practicality.

**Special Features**

One of the standout features of the SQ8 is its unique badge design – which includes a distinctive illuminated logo at the rear. The car also features a range of exclusive badging options, including a bold "SQ" badge that's sure to turn heads on the road.

Optional features for the SQ8 include an optional Quattro Sport Differential, which provides even more traction and control when cornering or braking hard. Other notable features include a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features.

**Final Verdict**

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by the Audi SQ8 – a car that delivers on its promise of performance, luxury, and practicality. With its unique engine configuration, advanced infotainment system, and impressive features list, the SQ8 is sure to appeal to drivers who crave excitement and adventure in their next vehicle. Whether cruising down the highway or tackling twisty mountain roads, the SQ8 delivers with quiet confidence – making it an ideal choice for those who value performance, luxury, and practicality.

ever visited I'm here at the Villa lcop in stellen Boss beautiful environment it's an absolute dream and I'm here for this the new Audi sq8 the facelifted model now for me the Audi Q8 has always been the prettiest SUV we have the BMW X5 BMW X6 the Mercedes models the Audi Q7 of course uh the the Lamborghini Urus stuff like that for me this is the prettiest car and the good news is it's got even prettier because the facelift has been really successful so we have this new brushed wheel design for the SQ model which you you can also get on a normal Q8 but as you can see a little Audi RS badge right there it's a brushed aluminum wheel 23 in 285 section Tire really wide so you can get all that torque on the road without any trouble we have a steel brake setup in this car I don't think it's possible to get the carbon Ceramics anymore with the SQ models but with the older sq7 like the 4 L TDI you could get carbon Ceramics but I think they have now Reserve that for the RS QA what I love about this spec though is they have the classic Audi matte silver finish so the single frame is in that matte silver aluminium look I just love that it really brings me back to the old like B5 RS4 days just beautiful it has a little reflection in it but it also has that matte glossy finish perfect I think so really weird I just noticed this is that Audi nowadays has the engine specification on the B pillar so at the rear you can see that the light unit has been stretched out it's a little more flush makes the car even more Broad and muscular but more slim at the same time because everything is just more flush and more subtle and a little less bold than with the prefacelift I really prefer this so quad exhausts for the SQ model and an illum minated badge or logo at the rear so let's have a look underneath here the sq8 has the infamous 4 L tfsi that's well basically also in the rsq8 Ken turbo the Urus just with a different bold on package so it has different turbos different software uh so it doesn't have the 600 horsepower you get in the rsq8 this has got 57 torque 770 n m versus the 800 newm of the rsq8 so that's pretty close and you really feel that because down low because of the smaller turbos with this car more of a practical daily driver sporty you have all that power down low which is lovely it's so nice to just drive this thing calmly but fast there we go which I am now going to demonstrate if you don't mind so optionally you can get a Quattro sport differential on the rear wheels on the rear axle on the interior nothing has really changed we have this new matte carbon fiber finish which is absolutely lovely really really gorgeous um and I think the the interior is quite conservative but modern it's not over the top it's pretty Timeless uh I really like it and I think you know this really in nearly every aspect for me is a better car than it's natural competitor the BMW X6 m50i it's finishing its materials everything just seems upper level so the saav is a little bit confused because of the location uh it's not used to being in South Africa when you have a European spec car but it'll sort itself out in a minute so we have all these beautiful vineyards right here so as you might know stmbol is quite a famous uh Vineyard so suspension really nice it filters out quite a lot of these little potholes and stuff really Supple suspension especially considering the fact that we have 23in wheels which is quite massive but let's just stick it into Dynamic mode and see what it's like in that mode oh so that 4 L V8 of course is absolutely gorgeous and because of the smaller turbos you have a lot of power low down which for a daily driver is fantastic have to not forget that we are driving on the left right here in South Africa even though we have a left-hand drive car but the sound also is so so nice you have that beautiful V8 Rumble absolutely gorgeous it's not that loud it's just a very nice and Bassy sound this so you do notice that like way at the top you have less power than with an rsq8 it really plateaus after 4,000 RPM but you know it doesn't really matter it's uh it doesn't really feel that much slower compared to the rsq8 so 0 to 100 I'm now going to demonstrate stick it into SP P ESP here we go that's it so I was in luck because I could do a acceleration run on private property here in South Africa you know properties are quite large here so uh I found a place where I could do a 0 to 170 or something like that so Factory claim 4.1 seconds to 100 which was spot on I did a 4.08 so wouldn't expect anything else from the Germans so of course the hat and tail light design has always been a big thing at Audi you know with the Matrix HD Le laser light whatever they now have three different headlights so the normal one The Matrix one and the Matrix HD I think and you can do four different animations with the top one it is actually good fun and it looks absolutely awesome to be honest so especially like this uper pill section all that torque and power Low Down super super strong the gearbox is also quite Snappy and happy to upshift really fluent not like super quick but you know this isn't really a sports car it's uh more of a luxury performance car and I think that description and that discipline is what it what it's really good at I'm not really into those super sport SUVs I just think the concept of it is just beyond me I don't get it this is what a performance SUV should be like in my opinion but that air suspension of course an Audi sq8 specific configuration just perfect really they have done such a good job for me this really is the nicest performance SUV you can get I am really impressed with this all new Audi sq8 I'm also really impressed with South Africa I mean as a country it is the most beautiful place I've ever been really such a variety of Landscapes and people people and just awesome Cape Town also absolutely gorgeous I am blown away by all this really hope you guys enjoyed it too if you can go visit South Africa if you can have a try with the Audi sqa really both are just bang on thanks for watching guys see you at the next onewhat's up
