The Setup: A Tour of My Space
As I welcome you to my space, I want to give you a firsthand look at what makes this room special to me. Let's start with the desk. It was initially just wood, but we gave it a white finish and added some custom touches. One of the first things I noticed when setting up my space is how well it handles cables. We installed a vanity shield that not only looks great but also keeps the desk area clean and organized.
Moving on to other features of my space, you'll notice a few quirks and personal touches that make this room feel like home. For instance, I have a Game Boy Advance with Pokémon FireRed, which sparked my interest in Pokémon Go. You might also spot a Moleskin notebook Oppo R7, which I use as a cup holder – why not, right? On the opposite side of the desk, you'll see a Huawei Watch, which is both stylish and functional.
My Writing Experience
I've always been fascinated by typewriter-inspired keyboards, so when I came across a mechanical keyboard with a typewriter look, I just had to have it. The M-audio AV 40s speakers are another favorite of mine – they're solid reference speakers that deliver high-quality sound. They come in a handy stand that keeps the desk vibrations at bay, ensuring an immersive listening experience.
The Display
A key component of my space is this Dell XPS 13 laptop. Although I'm planning to upgrade to new MacBooks soon, for now, it's been a reliable companion. You'll also notice a lava lamp on the edge – a quirky touch that adds some personality to the room. And, as an added bonus, the M-audio AV 40s speakers provide crisp sound without any distractions.
The Display (continued)
On my workspace, you can spot a BenQ 32-inch 4K monitor – it's truly breathtaking and boasts incredible color reproduction. Another essential component is this Logitech C920 webcam, which provides crystal-clear video quality for recording sessions or online content creation. Sometimes, I do use the Lapel Mic like that when I don't have it on; it always gets a nice balance between warmth and brightness.
Posters and Decorations
The walls are decorated with posters – whatever I'm in the mood for at any given time. There's also a print of "Stay Classy," which has become one of my favorite quotes, followed by "Work Harder" – more motivational words to keep me going. The walls are quite bare and feature some patent prints as well. Overall, this room is perfect for relaxing or collaborating with others.
The Display (continued)
On the wall opposite my workspace, there's a 40-inch 1080p TV from TCL – it's mounted on the wall and has cable runs that keep everything hidden. While I wouldn't consider it a top-of-the-line display, its size is quite comfortable for watching movies or streaming.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys of random Frank P back with episode 52 of room tour project the series we show off the best setups our special guest is going to be Matt from YouTube channel MS Tech it'll be nice to see his revamp of the setup so we had him on over a year ago so I'm pumped to check that out and as always we have some killer setups to show off so let's start off episode 52 first we have two brothers and we're going to be showing off their PCs and their setups both are polar opposites the one PC is on the warmer side with like a black and gold theme and the other one is of cooler tones with silver and blues really great stuff here I would love to be one of their brothers but before we check out the specs look at this setup we have three displays plus an overhead RGB LED lights this setup is nuts now taking a look at the gear that middle monitor is an Acer predator x34 ultra wide with two Asus PG 27 8q rog swift monitors on each side then that overhead is a 39 inch LG TV in for some extra audio he has an LG sound bar underneath the monitors to blast it literally in his face and then when taking a look into his peripherals using the Logitech G 810 Orion spectrum keyboard with logitech g502 proteus spectrum mouse and for the gaming keypad is using the razor orb-weaver chroma yes all of those in which are RGB or chroma enabled so he could match his setups theme of a white black in gold but you don't see too often but it's pulled off very nicely here then his headphones of choice are the bear dynamic t-90s no RGB lights here thank God for that and then underneath his desk is where you will find that glorious water-cooled PC inside his fantex evolve ATX case he has the i7 6700 K CPU on a gigabyte z170 X motherboard 32 gigabytes of HyperX fury ram two gtx and 80s in SLI from EVGA and of course tons of custom water cooling components here so this build can match his setups theme you don't really see a gold PC too often he went the extra mile to even custom paint a lot of the components inside and on his motherboard to fit that theme and altogether his PC looks awesome then you take a look at his setup as a whole it looks incredible and the only thing I wish here is he would have his PC on his desk I know there's not a lot of room there for but it would make it look even better and it was barely even possible because it setup is just crazy but it's just one little wish of mine now let's go to the other brother and check out what he's rocking and since we're looking at his PC first we'll start off with that or verse and then go into his setup but I think his PC looks great I love the cool tones like I mentioned earlier with the silver case and the blue and purple ish internals looks really nice it's also a beast inside as well he's also rocking the skylake i7 6700 K CPU on an Asus z170a motherboard 32 gigs of HyperX fury ram and again two gtx 1080s in sli giving him an absolute monster PC you just can't ignore the matching aesthetics and the water cooling components on the inside with that blue coolant it just looks really really nice fits in with the setup perfectly his setup here is going for a more simple approaches only two displays but it's still pulled off very nicely taking a look at his gear he has the Acer predator X 30 for ultrawide monitor with a 39 inch LG TV on top sounds familiar his keyboard is the habit RGB keyboard with a logitech g502 proteus spectrum and yes a Razer Nostromo keypad you would think these two guys are brothers so all the subs matching and his audio game is very serious and I can respect him a ton for that on his desk he could see his studio monitors which are the Mackie CR fours and as for his headphones he has the audio technica ath W 1000 X in a cherry wood finish and also the Odyssey LCD X headphones we are plugged into his audio layer 2 headphone - BAM yes don't laugh it's spelt differently though but this guy is definitely an audiophile that his room as a whole is so nice and organized there's a ton of room there look at all this horse space so could you Rover - there's so many activities but all together these guys have a crazy setup and some beast pcs but seriously I'll talk to mom and dad about you know like adopting me pretty good dude take out the trash do the dishes anything you guys want I just want to be your brother and now we're gonna take a look at this 4k and 1080p VR battle station living room setup area that is just insanely awesome I mean look at that chair this room is used for just lounging back playing some games as well as the HTC vive in this wide-open area as far as displays he has two killer options he can either use his BenQ 1080p 3d home theater projector or you know just roll that up and have his 65 inch Samsung curved 4k TV there yeah either one you know 65 inches on a TV or like a hundred and twenty on a projector which I could have the most options either way regardless of my jealousy this is absolutely awesome he has the Philips hue bulbs everywhere to kind of set the mood and match the theme or whatever game he's playing and look at this chair I can just look at it and I feel like I've ever got to sit in that thing I become a bowl of mashed potatoes and just be there forever and be completely content with that regardless this dude knows what's up then inside his PC which is powering this whole living room set up he has the i7 6700 K CPU with the coarser h100 eye CPU cooler on the ASUS Maximus eight gene motherboard 16 gigs of course a vengence ram into EVGA 980 t is in sli all inside the very small and compact fractal design node 804 case guess what folks that was just his living room we're not done there now look at his desk setup and his primary display here is the retina 5k 27-inch iMac came out last year you know of course fully SPECT out he also has two adèle 27 inch 4k IPS monitors on each side of that so he has a 5k in the middle and two four K's on the side this guy loves himself some pixels not only that he also is seriously into the audio game and I love what he has here his primary drivers are the sennheiser HD 800 headphones very premium they get plugged into the magnet to you and the Motty to you stack from also and you might have saw on his desk he has the audio engine 85 plus speakers and then rounding out the rest of his peripherals he has the Apple Magic Mouse - the Magic Trackpad - as well as the Apple Magic keyboard but seriously these setups are getting insane I love this pixels and pixels for days and up I don't mind sitting in that chair for the rest of my life and then every now and then you need a nice and simple setup to bring you back to the basics here I love how he's achieving this the minimal approach a nice PC overall I could definitely dig this for his primary solo display he's rocking the Asus PB 27-7 Q monitor on that nice white IKEA linman desk the glossy desktop finish looks great with the white and black setup and then taking a look at his peripherals his keyboard is the magic 468 gaming keyboard with gatherin clear switches he's using the Logitech MX master mouse all on the vibes extended extra extra extra large mouse pad and then diving into his PC he has the Intel i5 6600 K CPU with a Corsair h-60 CPU cooler that's on the EVGA z170 Stinger Mini ITX motherboard he has the founders Edition EVGA gtx 1070 graphics card 16 gigs of Corsair Vengeance Ram a P&Y 240 gigabyte SSD and that's all hallows inside of his Leon Lee PC q 10 WX mini ITX case which I think just looks great on his desk it's compact its simple looking and it really helps to round out his setup all together a really great minimal setup here that I think is just really refreshing to see every and then love how simple this one is how's it going everybody my name is matt from ms tech thanks Frank for having me on the show again the last time I was on a room tour project was about a year ago and there's when I just came up into this room in this office space and this setup you see right now is just basically an evolution of that setup and it's kind of in its final stages because in the near future I'm going to be doing a fresh redesign so I figured now is a good time to show off this setup so let's get started so beginning with not actually the gear like the stuff around it or the stuff it all goes on the base the chair is a dxracer formula series it's really just nice comfortable chair with a lot of adjustability like the arm rests so it can fit under this like big overhang which is very nice and that's why this is my chair choice the desk itself is a custom made desk so me and my friend made this desk from scratch with all the wood paneling friends behind the camera so we made the desk gave it it was just wood and then we gave it a white finish and doing that lets you have a couple of custom things with the desk like a vanity shield and you can see right now that the vanity shield helps cover up account of cables underneath the desk and just makes it look a lot cleaner moving up a little bit over here we have a nice Game Boy Advance got Pokemon firered in there and yeah implying that Pokemon go inspired me to go back and play pokemon firered um got a moleskin notebook Oppo r7 which I actually use as a cup holder because why not Huawei watch fantastic watch this is a quirky writer I have some b-roll of it right now it's basically a typewriter inspired mechanical keyboard sounds like mechanical keyboard has mechanical switches but then it has the whole typewriter look it's also bluetooth like a really cool novelty item not the most practical thing in the world I think it was like $350 moving on to the mouse I actually use a logitech m5 70 I think it is and it's a trackball Mouse combination so it doesn't actually move around at all it's just stuck right there and to move your mouse you just use the trackball and then you also have the clicking buttons I'm I actually really like track balls I just randomly use them out of nowhere and I figured how awesome they are you don't move your end at all you just roll a ball and you actually end up getting pretty accurate with it and good then over here we have a Dell XPS 13 I will be getting new MacBooks when they come out but until then the XPS 13 I'll carry me on then moving up a little bit over here we just have a lava lamp for lava lamp reasons m-audio av 40s in terms of speakers just really solid set of like reference speakers I guess they did come out with a new version I think uh zab4 T 2's or something out I'm happy customer and they were for me they're on top of the Kanto s2 stands that's why they kind of jiggle a little bit and that just helps it separate the desk vibrations from the speaker and just keep them separate good stuff in the middle is a 32 inch Ben q 4k monitor it's things of beauty I absolutely love this monitor it looks fantastic it has incredible color reproduction just a really sharp accurate monitor on top of that we have a Logitech c920 webcam for webcams you know sunglasses down there and then over here is the editors Keys SL 600 mic I really don't even use a studio mic like that often I'm always either using the lap like that I have on me right now or a shotgun mic like an MK h 416 but I have that for whenever I need it and then they last like tier of things is up here we have a couple posters those posters will change based on like my personal feeling at the time I don't know whatever I want up there a couple other ones I like patent prints and stuff this is stay classy and that's just work harder and then there's a 40 inch 1080p TV from TCL in the middle it's wall-mounted it has like cable runs so you can't really see the cables when I do the setup revamping this is definitely going to be something I address or upgrade or change because I mean it's nice to have there and it's cool but it's not in a great place it kinda you're like arching your neck when you're sitting down looking up at it it's only 1080p there can definitely be some improvements there but all just that when I do a new version of the setup thank you to Frank for having me on the show again I love the show I love being on it and hopefully I'll be on it again when I have the whole new setup there you can check me out at ms tech on youtube it'll probably be linked in the
