on that links down the description below you can check out that video but today we're doing something a little bit different everybody locked in their averages yesterday or actually two days ago at tulsa all they have to do is make one pass down the track to lock in their position in the actual averages for the race and then we're going to have a bracket race heads up with all these cars and see who's the real top dog heads up racing down the drag strip something we've done differently this year they started at 1.0 repairing it through for 2.0 and it's a lot of fun you're gonna see what these cars do heads up rather than just racing each other which is what they usually do on these races they also have a bracket race for all the slower cars they can get to race each other it's gonna be like 80 or 90 cars in that bracket race so let's check in with some of the racers and we'll hit the track shortly uh steering shaft and uh yeah it was pretty mellow drive good didn't have to rebuild the transmission or rear end or anything like that no how long did it take you to rebuild that from when you broke right about an hour uh it was 9 13 when the first pass i broke it at 9 13. i was back up at 10 12 or something oh my god so that less than an hour pushing us back going there scrambling getting towards holding it apart cleaning there was millions of just little bitty gears in the rear end in the axle tubes it was well it's good to see here one last pass you can see you completed it did not think that was gonna happen it was a big accomplishment me and him were like looking he's like no way they drug the track for uh rowdy radio or something like that thank god i mean that's near that extra couple minutes all right one more pass yep good luck so for the gremlins wow all right that was a great restaurant was it grudge race yeah the diesel made it yeah we're here we were actually just talking about the oil system and how we couldn't do it but yet we're here oh yeah yeah what oil system well just the the field block oh oil everyone said we couldn't do it the highest oil temperature all week was yesterday at 210 we were kind of you know we were having fun on the way to the hotel yeah so that was the highest and we're here yeah transmission got hurt multiple days in a row so we had to change our plans yeah but the motors rock solid switch motor's fine and we're here one more pass yep we'll just break the beam and go down normal i'm still gonna drive it to the house i got 400 miles to go oh yeah you got to get back home yeah i'm going to drive i didn't think about that you know at this point it's about the point of finishing it yeah i was a rookie i came underprepared people told me oh it's hard oh it's going to be a lot harder than what you think and i was like yeah yeah okay okay okay well i didn't give it enough credit it is hard so now i know things now i'm gonna apply the changes we've learned so next year we're gonna do a lot better five transmissions i don't know i just kidding and it's kind of time to retire it take all the really really good expensive parts off this one put them in another frame with another body that's shorter run a 1090 this week gotcha can't turn that 100 foot down what's the best pass that's ever had the 1090. oh okay yeah sweet yeah this we haven't really taken this so it's pretty dialed into 11-0 yeah yeah we're turned down on power to hit 11-0 it'll probably run low tens in current trim without nitrous we're gonna make one more pass to complete the trip and then we've got the bracket race today so yeah i mean i've seen you making some runs today excited to make some runs dialed in yeah i don't break any transmissions this one's solid we've done some pretty crazy stuff this week and she's just loving life nice i love it it's got about half the power of the green one so that helps yeah and same trans as the green one so oh really has he been looking to steal your transmission this week he have seen both these cts vs on six week race week and they did some killer trailer burnouts yesterday i want to show you what's in these cars that makes them do some crazy burnouts and run pretty quick on the track too hi felicia hi how's it going nice burnout yesterday thank you that was pretty sweet i loved the the tandem trailer burnouts that was happening man we've been wanting to do that for a while so we finally got to do it so real quick what is in this car to make it do epic burnouts and run eights down the track uh so it is a thompson motorsports 427 dart iron block it has a boosted 2650 blower on it and frankenstein f310 heads still a blower car running 890s yeah it is still a blower car that's right and i know it's pretty consistently too yeah yeah we came in third and then i know class we averaged 907 throughout the week and you were in the quick 16 second class today right yes yes so we made top 32 um there's the first eight second eight and then we're the quick 16. we are third in the quick 16. that's badass and 890 is not only 890's on the track but with a full interior correct that is the way that you see it in a heavy pit how much is this way it weighs 45 40 right now with me in it yeah 4 500 pounds running eight nine and wheeling every single time i love it it's fun it's fun it's really cool to be able to drive a thousand miles and literally we got here i think an hour ago and just went out and ran a 9-1 at 150 oh my god it's super cool to be able to do that i almost forgot to turn my ac off and everybody would have made fun of me 890 is your personal best 890s personal best so far all right let's see if we do better today today but we'll see yeah cool thank you let me go check out the purple car next all right we got the purple ctsb we always see you guys cruising together thank you for the trailer burnout yesterday side by side that was sweet so tell me what's in the car to make it run as quick as it does actually what's your personal best so far uh a 981 nice is my personal best broker to the nines yep so three months ago this was a shell i broke my engine and destroyed my driveshaft after six weeks so this is a 427 borowski race engine four triple pump fuel system we have the stock lsa blower it was ported by kong but we had it reported due in the export okay um so it's uncorrected it was about a thousand two horsepower on the dyno just over a thousand yeah huge shout out to mark rios from rios racing for tuning it he's been on vacation and helping us out all week and i can't take him enough so good job mark i mean it's been fun but we are completely untested so this week has just been brand new bill just testing all week it made it through we asked her to do way too much and she completed it so i'm happy with just that but today we're gonna try and turn it up and see what we can do to try to get a personal best by the end of the night sweet we'll try it out and get quicker than 980. yep perfect good luck thank you all right 10.84 i asked matt who to talk to that had some bad luck yesterday and he told me you're the guy so i got to hear the story what happened it looks like you're missing a window we went to the museum on 66th auto museum but somebody comes out and they're like oh hey you guys got that f250 with the stealth behind or the white car behind it and i was like oh he's just going to rub us for towing the car you know because you're not you can't when you're in the competition but we're out right and it's because somebody's trying to steal your car i'm like no like what yeah yeah somebody's out there trying to steal a car they're running them off and so we go outside and sure enough we had the car on the trailer they had cut all four straps on the trailer and pulled our ramps out they had busted they tried prying this window open but our trailer fender sits high enough that you need a jacket underneath here to get the door open so they grinded the bottom of the door on the trailer and couldn't get in they pulled my pen out of my roll bar my door bar and i was throwing it in the parking lot he had like a knife sitting on the ground his watch his name back from where he worked didn't seem like a mastermind but further damage has occurred on this other side and this is what really hurts he stole my helmet i mean a helmet's kind of a personal thing for people right he stole my helmet and put it on his head and started beating up this car to get in and it was the doors you know he could have got in easily he already he broke this window put a huge dent in here i don't know if he was hitting that with his fist or my helmet this is going to be really hard to fix um broke our cpanel glass out here this was worse but we've been trying to clean it up you know like i don't know if he took a screwdriver some of this we found one of my screwdrivers on it this piece you can't get anymore and he screwed that up real bad but i don't know what he thought he was doing or why he was breaking all this but apparently he told the police that demons were chasing him yeah don't do math people yeah okay um there's lots of ways to have fun without doing that and causing yourself to commit i i had like six or seven felonies that day besides this i mean god man no if i need to get into all of it but he was driving a stolen car when he saw this one and he broke into a house earlier and so the cops literally had to pit move him or something to stop him he was going on a grand theft auto spree man in the second round mustang sounds like it's making popcorn we are doing it sounds like you're making popcorn yeah what happened oh there's bad water somewhere we just don't have to watch this yeah i don't know what's going on with it we just put a new set of plugs in it and it's popping and banging now well at least you made it through the beams hopefully yeah that completed it i know what's wrong with it yeah ain't got no gas in it that's exactly what happened remember they don't suck yeah that's you guys it runs down it broke the beams it finished yeah there you go now we just got to make sure it runs for the shootout yeah i'll see if we can jump in with these guys and do a test pass yeah perfect here's your second place so everyone's favorite car yeah we made it so any issues on the way here thank goodness no good he did all the burnouts with the trailer nice yesterday dang it i missed it i know so we got out on the road like literally right outside the gate in front of the track and he said you haven't done a trailer burn out you want to do it i was like yeah so i just train out on the street in front of the track so close enough for comfort yeah so i went up and made my time trial pass and the car ran uh 12 30. 12 34 right where you're at at 110 so we're we're back to where we started whenever um we made the first pass here so car shifted it did exactly what it was supposed to do so i think beautiful we're he's always he's always in our hearts and minds uh and actually he's always with me i know this is a little bit on the strange side i got his ashes right in there and that no way he rides with me oh that's actually really cool i like that he's still racing the car yes yes what's the best time on the car now that was topeka last year it was i think we were at a test in tune in early october heartland park and we ran a 1002 and one third right there yeah yeah we're right the goal is with this thing is to run a nine and i'll be good if i go up here and bust off a nine i'd be so happy i'll be okay this is a heavy car it is a big car what's the power plant in it it is well what we like to tell the kids is we tell it's a 307 you probably know a little different but it's got an ls2 chevy ssr pickup so i think it's really cool you're still racing it for him and i appreciate it so much and it means a lot to me to to get to get this car out there and have people start talking about it because whenever somebody's a friend of yours is his name's mentioned he's not like he's really gone man he's just he's you know he's he's around but he just hasn't called you and racers in the bracket right now make sure your dial is on the left side we'll enjoy your last year very much enjoy your last few past years we got our juniors in the lanes here all right i can't tell by the standings who's leading the junior class you are we think so nice it's we're just trying to do our it's just the closest to your dialing right yes nice he's trying to do our thing nice thank you guys the closest to your dialogue that you choose the first day you have to pick one of your slips hand that in and then run as close as you can to your dial-in so they're leading right now we'll see how it starts out by the other day too fast he's to kick off today we are going to be starting with a bracket race so the racers have to pick their own dial in and they're running bracketry style we're going to be following some of the cars that we've interviewed this week to see how they do and then we'll go on to the heads up shootout 11 01. yay um this time 12 31 on the god wow that was impressive holy cow so everyone except for the red and black pickup and the chevette have gone out in the bracket race and she just hit her dialing on the money have you done this before never have you bracket raised one time one one time okay i lost the first round the funny thing is people you're beating just lost to a chef that's the best part a v6 chevette i thought that guy was about to wear me out oh my god let's see your reaction here so are you in the left lane yeah yeah point one two you're you're really consistent nice work that was sweet all right round three right we're taking a break from bracket racing for some heads up racing we got the fastest cars of the race in the lanes right now they're still pulling up but we're gonna break this up a few different ways we've got the fastest eight cars of the event going heads up for 7 500 and that's in the fastest class faf and then the bmf class the bad class we have another eight cars they're going heads up and then we have the quick 16 which is the next quickest 16 after those two classes of eight we have two heads up eighth mile classes i'm sorry we have a rowdy radial class for eighth mile then we have an exhibition class with four cars in it for the cars that have broke and fixed themselves and made it back to race here today so check out the porsche we got tina here we got a couple other cars pulling up here
